Transformers : One spoiler

I dread for the day that most people watched Transformers : One, because of the amount of takes that basically put the blame on Orion Pax for pushing D-16/Megatron to snap (And then sneakily calling Orion Pax as someone wanted to protect status quo and didn't want to tear down the system simply because he didn't have that need to violently put the oppressors down like some types of common low-lives and force everyone to follow his crusade to screw the system).

Orion Pax tried to stop D-16/Megatron from killing Sentinel has nothing to do with "we became as bad as him if we murder that cunt". It's more like "You're being unhealthy with your hatred and I don't think you should continue with this train of thoughts". And I promise you that Orion didn't that much fuck about Sentinel's well-being. He's afraid for D-16 and whatever direction his friend would become.

Orion Pax noticed how his dear friend began to go down to a very dark part, and he would never stop to spiral down further, even if he murdered Sentinel and his lackies brutally. And D-16 hasn't expressed any contigent plans to change the system into sth better, and all he cared about was how to punish and humiliate Sentinel in a most terrible way possible. And the way he acted toward Starscream and the High guards is peak red flag for potential dictatorship and oppression that use fear, violence, and hatred, which is parallel to Sentinel's own brand of opression that filled with lies, manipulation and exploitation.

And sorry to burst this bubble, but D-16/Megatron isn't the one who is revolutionary. That's Orion Pax's thing. Orion was the only one noticing And it will be funny to see the take "Orion wants to maintain the system" when this little shit first thought when learning about the truth is to expose Sentinel's fake-ass to the mass and rally the oppressed folks to rise up against Sentinel and the system. But I guess it's not violence or brutal enough for some people to acknowledge that Orion is going for the least destructive route to tear down the system because he valued life more.

This is not saying Orion Pax's solution for dismantling the system is the best and only way to go, and sometimes violence can be the best answer in certain circumstances. But if your the whole revolution is based solely on violences, killings and basically tearing down everything to satisfy your hatred/grievances without any considerations for the casualties, consequences, and priorities to rebuild the system, it become a pointless and selfish movement that will actually never bring any substantial changes besides sufferings and tragedies.

Optimus saying he'll be a better Prime that Sentinel ever was and then almost instantly establishing a harem because damnit the Matrix keeps humming in his receptors that he needs to start restoring the other primes AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Sure there's a war going on, but Optimus can sometimes be found in his new throne room with pretty transformers adorned in jewels and other garments. Some are already heavy with sparklings. Some aren't showing yet. Most have their breasts exposed while he walks around to occasional grope them or give kisses.

All that is missing is taking Megatron back and adding him to the harem and he feels his new life will be complete.

the fact that the implication here is that the other twelve primes were Zeta’s harem is absolutely delicious. And now Optimus has to build his own little circle of big, horny wives… pretty mechs prancing around their Prime, livingly stroking his chest, pregnant tummies rubbing up against his own abdomen as they ride his lap, it feels so damn nice… and then the matrix hears the name Megatron and immediately gets too excited for Optimus' good.

Every heart-wrenching, conflicted battle Optimus is forced to undergo fighting his old friend, he now has to endure the matrix in his chest screaming Get Him Pregnant Now!!!!!!! Acquire New Wife!!!

Thinking about how there's a lot of amnesia stories where Optimus ends up reverting back to Orion Pax (because I think it canonically happened in TFP?) and I'm just thinking about that scenario but in a Shattered Glass scenario, mostly TF:One because it's the one continuity I know a lot about (sorry sksksk) and also in the actual canonical SG universes.

So like in a Shattered Glass TF:One AU, if it's SG!OP who forgets his memory then I feel kinda bad for SG!Megs. Cause while I do think OP would be less insane as Orion Pax, he definitely was already toxic even before he became a Prime. He def tries to get Megs into trouble and I feel he'd be slightly jealous and pissed that Megatron has a T-cog and he doesn't. He def figures out he has amnesia ngl and is probably very mad at Megatron for lying to him. If it's SG!Megs who gets amnesia well I'm pretty sure SG!OP is keeping him in Iacon and he is never ever leaving OP's sights. Doesn't help that D-16 held so much respect for the Primes so he'd probably look up to OP.

In the Shattered Glass FunPub version, it's a bit difficult to say cause canonically speaking I'm pretty sure that... before the war, Megatron and OP didn't actually know each other? Like it's never brought up that they knew each other, when Megatron was a mathematician and Optronix was a librarian. So yeah I don't think it would work here cause I'm pretty sure Optronix would straight up just kill an amnesiac Megatron. At best he'd help fix him because he'd just be offended that his greatest enemy wouldn't even die as the mech who had been opposing him for so long. Megatron though... he'd help reform Optronix, he's a nice guy in this continuity and to be fair this is the Shattered Glass continuity where OP genuinely does get a sorta redemption arc where he became Nova Prime.

In the Shattered Glass IDW version, this one is tasty because they do know each other. If it was OP who got amnesia, well... the problem is he was pretty power-hungry even when he was Orion Pax but I think Megatron could fix him (probably not but ya know) by appealing to whatever small friendship they did have. Also he has to really make sure OP doesn't find out he's already a dictator and got the power he wanted cause OP will be pissed once he realized Megatron lied to him. If it was Megatron who got amnesia though? OP is probably going to keep him by his side and would try to maybe get him to work with him?

Like assuming OP still has some affection for Megatron, he would keep him by his side. I like to think this if only because of Megatron's "you may have offered me a place at your side, but I never could have been on your side" and OP's "we are past nothing, Megatron, until I say we are." Like he'd probably be ecstatic to find a Megatron who doesn't exactly oppose him yet.

But yeah, just some amnesia thoughts for TF:Shattered Glass.
