This is a bit of a rant but

WHY HAS IT TAKEN ME THIS LONG TO GO THROUGH THE TFA ALLSPARK ALMANIC WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME

This was litteraly my first time seeing Oilslick's first concept art and BRO thank FUCK they changed it (and then changed it again and again 😒they should have just kept the toy design)

But I'm literally bouncing off the walls, they have colour concepts for Prometheus black and that lanky ink sketch of Oilslick is chefs kiss, not to mention the box art of Oilslick that I never got to see because my Oilslick was unboxed 😭😭 I kinda wanna buy a second Oilslick figure just to repaint him in his unreleased concept paint toxic Oilslick. I've actually made it my mission to own asmuch Oilslick stuff that I can get my hands on, nothing will stop me (aside from the financial aspect)

There are so many bots who want to claim TFA Ratchet for breeding; Deadlock, Pharma, Oilslick, and even Lockdown. They all want to fill that big grumpy medic with so much transfluid and sparklings.

tfa Ratchet is prime breeding material you can’t tell me otherwise. Old, fat and fertile, with a medic’s build no less, anyone would want to pump a baby into his pussy. Someone definitely should… Maybe he just keeps getting fatter and fatter until one day he rolls over and his water breaks.... Don’t worry, he’s very good at this part. Just another reason people keep trying to knock him up. They know the sparklings are gonna come out big and healthy.

I think he spent a good chunk of the war getting captured and pumped full of babies, and I don’t think he hated it. Maybe he’s so grumpy all the time because he misses being knocked up <3

So my brain just generated this scenario for "why is Hazard like this":

They were raised in a bioweapons lab. And I don't mean they were there while other researchers did work I mean someone (probably shockwave) placed smol Hazard in this lab and promptly forgot about them for a few million years and eventually out steps Hazard who has learned how to make everything in the lab work but nothing about lab safety or social norms like not everyone is a potential test subject.

Ooooo, that's cool as hell! So Haz basically learned from utter trial and error in said scenario, and it's pretty sad in a way. Can you imagine juuuust beginning to exist and bam! You're left alone with a bunch of stuff that you have no idea what it does? Plus, that lack of social contact would definitely make a mech a nice amount of feral (after all look at tfp au Optimus who grew up in the wilds of Cybertron and even after all these vorns he still shows it)

In said scenario, Hazard likely grew up in an environment where everything alive they met was exactly a test subject, so it makes sense that even as an adult they're not the best at seeing the distinction between live specimen, enemy, and ally.

Plus, I place Hazard's creation date as being some point in the smack dab middle of the war, somewhere around the 2 MYA mark likely when the vast majority of the fighting was still on Cybertron and there were more resources to spare.

It's actually crazy that I look at fanart of Oilslick that was posted when I was 6-14 years old 💀💀 I genuinely forget how old Transformers animated is

It's actually weirdly beautiful how after all these years different generations have equally found joy and adoration in the transformers continuations (Especially Tfa) and how Derek j wyatt has essentially immortalised himself through his work in bringing happiness to people's childhoods and adulthoods

I might be getting deep but Transformers has been my biggest hyperfixation (and most expensive) for years now so I feel I get to go deep with it
