we have a uniform in school which we only had to wear to special events, and it consists of formal bottoms (black slacks/skirts for girls and black slacks for guys) a white shirt and a tie with the school logo on it for boys, and a shirt like this horrendous being for girls

so we had to wear uniform today and i wore the shirt and put on a pair of grey slacks, thinking it’d be fine

so i get there, my friend is wearing black jeans, which i though was also fine because from what i knew, this was going to be like a you sit down and the teacher hands out the diplomas kinda thing because that’s what they are usually like and that‘s what was at the end of elementary school

our teacher came in with a “i hope you are going to change” and i was ok whatever sure (i wasn’t gonna change, i didn’t have anything to change into), she goes out and i thought that was gonna be it about my clothes but oh lord was i wrong

she comes back with the fucking principle and the principle just starts going absolutely fucking crazy on us, she starts shouting about how “this is unacceptable, we only had one thing to do, didn’t our teacher tell us?” so this goes on for a couple of minutes and then they both leave

an hour(!!!) later they come back and tell the class to go into another classroom where they will receive their diplomas, but my friend and i should “stay here and wait for the others, you can’t come in with them, you’re gonna get your diplomas afterwards”

i was fucking flabbergasted, as you would imagine, and just absolutely speechless

so we stayed there for half an hour waiting for the others to come out, then we went in the same classroom and they gave us our diplomas without any formality whatsoever

so this was the event so mark the end of my entire high school experience. what fun
