Sometimes though, he held her a little closer, a little tighter, as if afraid of losing her. Usually, it was because he had had a close brush with death, and even though he would make light of it in the morning, she knew he had felt real fear. Those nights, she pressed herself a little closer to him as well, too aware of the fact they had been dangerous close to a possible disaster.

Technically more than a line. Also, while this is the latest WIP I've been working on, I'm not completely convinced of its form, nor do I know where this is going. It's one of those things that sound great in your head, but struggle to make sense on paper.

Anyhoo, we'll see what we'll do with this. I have other things I might be going back to in the meantime. I have too many things on the stove, I hate that.

Yeaaah I know, it's Saturday but I only started writing last night.

And she caused t his. Tav hates herself for it, but then again, he does not. He should. Why doesn't he? Why isn't he lashing her within an inch of her life? The copy of the contract melts into a mass of writhing shadows in her hands. The crawl up her arms, cold and warm and slick, and then slide, twisting down her body and dominating every part of her. "Tell me, sweet Ida. Have you found the answers that you were looking for?" "Y-yes," she gasps, as the shadows lift her from her seat and make her assume a grovelling position on the floor. How is she going live with herself after knowing this? Perhaps this is her punishment. Curiosity did kill the cat. "See what you made me do, pet?" Raphael husks, as he stalks towards her, "Shouldn't you kiss the very floor I step on?"
