Fully agree with you on tommy’s gentle treatment of buck, i am so emotional! if they eventually split (over eddie or otherwise), i love the idea of tommy being very in love with buck and really sad about the whole situation but still wanting what’s best for him (plus buck will never really forget the first man he went on a date with!)

stooop this is gonna break my heart for Tommy. i love Buck so much but it’s so likely that he is gonna do something stupid like talk about Eddie all the time and Tommy will understand that he needs to let him go. i truly hope Tommy finds his happiness because he genuinely seems so kind now, it’s just so unfortunate that he got in the middle of the two dumbasses.

Seriously, I’ve been in the analyser circles of the Dream SMP side of tumblr since it began pretty much. And it’s been a really cool ride all the way. 

At the start it was basically like a lot of stream summaries with your own spin on it and rooting for different sides to win. At first they looked at us a little strange to be analysing a minecraft server like it was a proper story. And in truth it felt a bit like digging out the narrative amidst a chaotic mixture of cool streams with some powerful moments nestled in there. 

Over time it became a bit more popular and gradually organised, as far as that can even happen on a site like tumblr. Soon we had dedicated analysis to different streams and and arcs as fans began to assemble the content into distinct arcs from what the CCs gave us. And soon we had great blogs like dsmpanalysis popping us just to archive the many lovely essays.

And the whole time its been a lot of fun. It’s fun seeing people getting into analysis for the first time. People sharing thoughts and opinions and slowly growing confident enough to formulate their takes and make insightful connections. 

I’m sure some people find this type of overanalysis a bit overwhelming but for me personally, it’s always enriched my experience in this fandom. It’s great to gush over the arcs I love and dissect the arcs I’m less satisfied with. It’s awesome to go on tumblr to read dozens of posts directly after a stream. I consider a lot of people on here my friends and I love discussing these streams with them.

So thankyou to everyone on here for being so awesome and indulging this love of mine.

I’ve left the fandom at this point; my hyperfixation ended, my schedule changed and I had to force myself to move on, but the DSMP changed my life. I will never be the same person as I was before late 2020. I will be forever grateful for the lore, Ranboo’s late night mining streams, Tommy’s vlogs, Punz’s speedruns and Techno’s Saturday streams (they were always at 4:00 PM my time). The fan content was top tier, and I will never forget the love I received on the fanfics I wrote myself. I may have moved on, but the boobers and inniters will always hold a special place in my heart.
