>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Leon liked to meditate. It was something he tried to do every other morning, no matter where he was. Funny enough, it earned him a reputation for being "the silent type" even though he would do it for no more than 20 minutes, usually with his legs crossed, back straight, palms flatly resting on his knees. If he was in the field and couldn't assume such a position, he would just sit normally, hands on his knees, making sure to stare at a fixed, far away point for as long as he could.
However, the best position by far was the one that he came up with for himself, but which he didn't dare do in public- on his knees, hands folded behind his back, arms flexing and relaxing, head thrown back and eyes closed. Whether this was a legitimate meditating position he did not know, and did not care. All it mattered was that it felt great.
However, even though his arms were currently behind his back, he did not feel great. In fact, he felt pretty fucking awful.
Leon shook his head to try to wake himself up. To his frustration, his eyes wouldn't open. His eyelids were too heavy.
"....the fuck," he mumbled out. Had he passed out somewhere? There was a pounding pain in his head, one he usually associated with a bad hangover.
Fuck, his arms and wrists ached too. He tried to pull them down, but was met with decisive resistance. "The fuuuuuck," he slurred, now angry.
He was standing, barely, that much he knew. His entire weight was being supported by his hands, which were attached to…something.
His eyes had to open if he wanted to see what was keeping him upright. It felt like cuffs, but he couldn't be sure.
Standing up properly could help. Problem was, his legs felt like jelly, the cheap kind. "Come on, come on…." he murmured to himself. Finally, his eyes fluttered open, and he could assess the situation.
Dim, barely lit bare room. A brand new cheap carpet beneath his feet. His wrists looped tightly over with a small chain that was padlocked, and connected to a bigger, longer, thicker chain that in turn connected to a crank.
Ah fuck. This was a torture room.
He yanked on the chain for good measure, mostly out of sheer frustration but also with the silent hope that it would start to give way.
It did not.
Leon groaned, the pain in his arms becoming worse than the pounding headache spreading from his temples to the back of his head. By now he was sure that he had been drugged.
Maybe this was the torture? He was to be left here, all strung up, until his shoulders were about to fall out from his sockets, after which they'd come and demand something of him (he would say no) and leave him again? Or torture him with electricity? Knives? Hot pokers?
A strained whine escaped from the pit of his chest. The uncertainty was now doing its damage too.
Then, someone unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Ada.
With a deft motion she slammed the door shut behind her. She was carrying all his gear, which she unceremoniously dumped on the ground in front of him.
"Those guns aren't cheap you know," he said, not at all concerned about the guns. The quip was to mask the insane relief and happiness he felt upon seeing her.
Ada gave him a soft smile. "It's been a while, Leon. An interesting mess you've gotten yourself into." She walked up to him, and put her hand on his cheek.
It felt so nice. Would she kiss him? Inadvertently, he leaned in, and was delighted when she kissed him back, parting her lips, letting him slide his tongue inside her mouth.
He had seen her recently, a month ago, when she had broken into his apartment and tossed him some recordings that she claimed she had no use for. Although he had been somewhat taken aback at first, he had thanked her and offered her a drink. She had said yes to the drink, and yes to climbing onto his lap, grabbing his hair and riding him for the better part of the night.
So by all standards, he'd say they were currently on pretty good terms.
The kiss ended, and she moved away. "As nice as it is to see you, Leon, I am now wondering what to do with you." She was circling him like a shark, her heeled boots softly thumping against the carpet, her red, flowing blouse swishing from side to side. Leon liked her in the dress, but he liked her even more in the tight black pants she was now wearing.
"How about you let me go?" he proposed.
"Oh, it's not my decision to make," she said.
What did she mean by that? "What-" No wait, he'd get to that in a minute. "Can you give some slack on the chain then? My arms are killing me."
She pondered for a moment, before walking to the crank at an agonizingly slow pace and gradually releasing it.
The groan he let out was almost embarrassing. All the tension was gone, and while his wrists still hurt like a bitch from the chains digging into his skin, he could at least keep his arms down, level with his hips.
He immediately eyed his gear, wondering if he'd manage to reach it.
"No you don't," Ada said. She punctuated her sentence with a rather rough pulling of the slacked chain, forcing him to stumble backwards.
That annoyed him. "Ada stop fucking around, just let me go. That’s why you’re here…right?"
She scoffed and walked up to him. "Leon, the only reason I'm here is because I know the people who took you, and I just happened to be in the neighborhood on an impromptu house call when I stopped by." She gently swept his blond hair out of his face, and moved her lips to his ear. "In fact, it would benefit me, and my employers, if I left you here to die."
Well now he was angry. Why the fuck did she always toy with him? In a swift motion, he grabbed the front of her blouse and hooked one of his legs on the back of her thigh, pulling her so close that they were nose to nose, chest to chest.
"That's not happening," he growled in her face. She looked startled, but was already gaining her composure, softly but firmly placing her hands on his hips.
"Leon, sweetie," she cocked her head. "I said it would be beneficial." Her eyes flicked down to his lips. "Now let me go."
"No." He twisted the fabric of her blouse in his hands, earning a small gasp from her. "Tell me what the fuck is going on, Ada."
He hated how she lied. How she manipulated. How she disappeared, and how she didn't consider his feelings. As far as he was concerned, he was getting some answers and then getting the fuck out. Sure he was chained, but he had her in an iron grip, and in terms of brute strength he-
She kissed him again, softly, sweetly, her hands smoothing over his lower back.
Leon melted instantly.
His grip loosened, and using the chain as leverage, he leaned into her, moving his hands down and holding on to her belt for balance.
Her breasts were now firmly pressed against the thin fabric of his black tactical T-shirt, and he moaned into the kiss. Fuck, he'd make love to her right here on the floor if she ordered him to, chains and all.
"You're so easy." She was mocking him. "I prefer doing that to tasing you."
Leon furrowed his brows. "You wouldn't-" Ada held up a portable taser a hair's breadth away from his face. She clicked it, the electricity making the ends of his hair rise.
"I guess I would have deserved that," he said flatly, and she smiled sweetly at him. He did grab her after all.
No wait, he didn't deserve that at all. He was simply trying not to die. And if he had to get rough with her, so be it. Fuck, she was making him stupid.
But before he could do anything, she had already moved away to roll the chain up.
"Wait no-" he protested, but his wrists were soon back above his head. Fuck.
"See you, Leon." She said, walking past him, deliberately swinging her hips."Next time, try not to get hit on the head and drugged by a bunch of low grade mercenaries."
"Ada, you-” he swallowed the unsavory curse that was on the tip of his tongue. This is not over- Ada!" She gave him a coy smile, and then, she was gone, the door slamming behind her.
"Fuck!" Leon growled. He jerked from side to side, causing the chains to loudly clank. Oh that fucking woman. Every fucking time he would get played and-
His eyes widened. She left all his gear on the ground. Why?
Come to think of it, the chains around his wrists felt loose. He looked up, and realized there was no padlock.
"Ada," he laughed. Suddenly, he heard shots and screams. No doubt Ada was applying her charms.
Realization swept over him. Of course. She had told him everything in the beginning. A 'house call' in her case meant the termination of a target. The target happened to be the very mercenaries that had grabbed him.
Within seconds he was out of his chain, and in a minute he was suited up. But when he burst through the door, gun drawn, he realized that Ada had already taken care of everyone, and, unsurprisingly, was already gone.
Leon holstered his weapon and weaved his way around the fallen bodies. He'd have to report this in, which no doubt would raise some questions. But he would explain them away- he always did.
He just hoped that he'd see her again.
