FORGOT TO REPLY BECAUSE OF THE RGG TV ADAPTATION FIASCO BUT YEAH I DID READ THE SUBTITLE FILES FOR REAL but that was just me getting carried away 💀💀💀Exactly Though. I see the vision… dude is so conflicted…

I sometimes think about that too, because some of the other actors with Araboshi-za also joined the yakuza along with Arakawa, right? Provided they didn't join the Hikawa Family (or at least abstained from inflicting The Horrors on Arakawa) I wonder if they could've been some of the first to leave their families to join/refer people to join the Arakawa Family, or if Arakawa really just started with no one (at rock bottom… as it were…) and it was his charisma that drew people to him. Structured this terribly but Do You Get What I Mean…

I also expect a good deal of it is just like, snapping out of how desensitized he's had to become. Obviously he's got this inkling that being a yakuza is Pretty Messed Up by the time Jo joins, but it's still so notable to me that the Arakawa Family became so much more brutal after Jo joined and the body count was out of control.

But then when Ichi joins, Arakawa doesn't want him involved in that side of things at all (bar Ryuji but he was banking on him not killing Ryuji anyway lol), and the family as a whole moves away from all the killing almost entirely. Like the implication is sooooooooo… you both can and do make each other worse whether you want to or not… but Ichi puts Arakawa in touch with the side of him that doesn't want to live like that anymore...

I want to know so much more about like, Jo and Arakawa's first kills and compare and contrast how they were affected in the long and short term. If you're hesitating to ask Jo to swear his life to you, do you hesitate to ask him to take a life for you? Is it worse if you hesitate less? Guys you GOTTA gimme something to work with here

ANYWAY. SHORTENING TSUTSUMI'S NAME GANG REPRESENT friend and I've been calling him 223 for ages… y'know… tsu-tsu-mi.. when I have to specify Y3 Mine I say 3ne on occasion… but I guess most people probably read it as Tsutsu-three and Three-ne, if most people reading my username as Oh Four Tenno is anything to go by lmao

naw i get what you mean dont worry i got'chu 100%. maybe some ex-stage members joined with arakawa when he joined his first yakuza family and mightve followed him after The Incident occurred. then through his own merit he attracted people to join- i mean he was able to convince ichi to follow him after one interaction, it doesn't seem like an impossible idea. who's to say really (´▽｀)

its a testament to the arakawa family's image considering how jo and ichi both initially describe the arakawa family as being a family of killers and/or having influence, yet by the time ichi's in prison they seem to have lost that identity when the other prisoners have no problem laughing at them. i certainly wouldnt account arakawa's age as being a factor for 'losing his bite' and becoming jaded (for starters, he's not even in his 50's yet by 2001) when we've seen older yakuza still be ruthless in the series. TRULY a believable case of arakawa wanting to prevent others going down bloody paths like he and jo did. in my humblest of opinions (❁´◡`❁;;)

on that note though it would be interestin to know how their first murders went and how that affected em..

hunter x hunter thotz so far

soooo ruth and i started watching hunter x hunter woohoo finally! we’re like 10 or so eps in so i decided to collect some thots below on what i think so far (i havent rlly been spoiled so im interested to look back on this once ive watched more)

first off i love gon sm, hes immediately so endearing...hes just a baby!!!! just a little baby boy!!!! hes just so cute and good, im so not ready for him to get put thru the wringer later on as ive vaguely heard happens

the first few episodes were really fast paced which i enjoyed and thought was for the best. the characters came thru really strongly and i feel like we heard juuuust enough about the setting, premise, and what a hunter is 

i wasnt expecting leorio and kurapika to show up in the FIRST EP lmao that surprised me. i love so much how the three of them like IMMEDIATELY became a family unit in like 3 eps lmaoooo it was like ok here are 2 parents and their son bam. also leorio and kurapika having a showdown on the boat (which didnt end up happening) was a wild ride 

i have like zero fucking idea what a hunter is and the more they attempt to explain the more confused i get. its honestly kind of hilarious how little sense it makes. to be clear this doesnt detract from my enjoyment of the show at all (if anything it adds to it)

oh my god fuckgin hisoka is the worst he hasnt done much but i hate him so much already. good villain writing/design so far, hes so hateable

ruth every time hisoka shows up: WE HATE UR PUSSY BIIIITCH 

the character design in this show is....a lot lmao. ruth and i decided its a cross between soul eater, jojo, and one piece in terms of aesthetic. the designs are certainly unique and so many of them are just so ugly hvbjafdbdskgs it reminds me of that post thats like ‘masterpost of jojo characters who look busted as shit’ lmao

i already love this show a lot tbh like the way its structured so far has been kinda atypical for a shounen, at least in terms of fights - we really havent seen a lot of fighting yet. also nen hasnt shown up yet and its reminding me of stands not becoming a thing in jojo until p3 lmao 

anyways in litrally ep1 i already loved the 3 main characters we saw...leorio is a wild dude, i love him sm, especially as a fellow medical binch who wants MONEY. like, thats literally me. and kurapika is also wild, like damn they rlly just dropped their backstory in ep 1 huh. like we rlly are jumping right into this 

also when leorio said he was a teenager i was like WHAT???? just like evryone else which YEA omfg. i cant believe hes that young lmao. kurapika too

so leorio is one of those 19 yr olds who looks 40 and kurapika is the type of teen who looks like a 12 yr old

and KILLUA i love him sm also....hes an adorable assassin catboy and hes perfect. i love how quickly he and gon hit it off (tiny bfs.....) and how hes just like, this extra as hell 12 yr old with a SKATEBOARD and ASSASSIN SKILLS and then he sees gon and is like guess im gonna fall in love 

i gotta talk abt gon again i just love him. hes so polite and cute and kind and good, i just love him...wht a good protag. his motivation is just wild too, hes like well my dad abandoned me to go off and be a hunter (which he isnt even mad abt, what a nice lad) so im gonna do that to see what the deal is

i love how gon (just like the audience) doesnt really know what a hunter does/is and just goes into the exam totally blind lmao. also the fact that his skills seem to include jumping good, being speedy, having the energy typical of a 12 yr old, being a weather sniffer, being nice, and having good instincts/constitution as a result of having eaten random grass and forest shit growing up...amazing. 

is this gonna turn out to be one of those things where its like, wow theyve been using nen this whole time without realizing! tht would honestly explain a lot lmao 

i really enjoy how like....semi-normal the power levels are rn? while also being all over the place and wack as fucks obvs (like hisoka dissolving that guys arms in his first appearance was A Lot, as well as all the card stuff hes done..). like the part wher that blue guys (evil franky one piece) punches the ground and it leaves a crater and everyones like !!!! wow wtf thats unnatural! that literally threw me off bc that kinda thing is so normal in anime lmaoooo. but i like that thats the starting point bc it leaves a lot of room for power escalation w/out it getting too out of hand 

specifially our protags are starting out pretty low on the Shounen Badass scale - especially gon (and leorio, tho i kinda predict he wont be as fight-y? what with him being premed)

i find it kinda hilarious how killua hasnt done too much (aside from murdering those 2 randos in like half a second) despite being so clearly skilled...like when they have to do the 5v5 fight thing in the tower, i wouldve thought hed be the first up cause hes so badass but nope

actually thats what i find interesting - i was expecting all 5 (or maybe 4, we’re in the middle of leorio’s ‘fight’) of the fights to be physical smackdowns but so far nope, theyve been very cerebral. that bodes well, w/how smart the fights have been, bc i doubt the fights will get stale tht way 

tho they might be kinda frustrating sometimes - there are times when u DO just wanna see a good ole fashioned shounen beatdown yknow. but we do get enough of that now (and im sure we’ll get plenty more) to satisfy (like kurapika decking fake-franky) 

oh also the opening. its so charming and cute and i love the song...its also so hilariously basic and classic - like one of those typical 2000s anime openings where theres stock run cycles of all the main characters and theres a little animation of all the characters fighting together (and that fight doesnt actually happen, its just for the op) 

also love that leorios the only one who doesnt fight in the OP, instead getting saved from death by gon lmao. im curious if he’ll end up fighting at all (i assume a little?) and if he’ll use nen (probably healing type nen?) 

also i already wanna fistfight ging for abandoning his perfect angel son. also leorio is literally gons dad already, they even look alike wow 

that guy hanzo has done basically 0 things so far but i rlly like him already, im curious if thatll change. also sorry for calling u ‘hanzo overwatch!?!?!?!’ upon first viewing my guy 

tonpa is str8 up so annoying pls leave u pathetic loser 

tho it cracked me up when he and Evil Mr Clean were facing off and starting getting all detailed/shaded and i was like o shit is he actually badass. are we abt to see like a nen battle or st. but no....lmaooo

i found it interesting that leorio didnt really admit to wanting to be a dr at first...hes such a good dude, he kinda just let kurapika think that his motives were superficial and greedy when in actuality theyre selfless

also wanting to be rich can be a rlly interesting character motivation and i love when its done right

oh my god i cant believe it took me this long to mention the hilariously edge ED....like holy shit, its so 2000s, the song sounds like its been re-recorded like 40000 times bc of how bad the audio quality is, or something, idk how to describe music but its hilariously specific in tone and its rlly funny to see shots of the main characters smiling while this screamo whatever plays in the bg....wow. 

also s/o to killua for being king of edgy with that ‘tear of blood’ shot

i rlly like how much of the plot, especially the early hunter exam stuff, is moved along simply by gon being a good kind polite boy. 

love the fact that he and leorio and kurapika (and later killua) all team up without even saying anything...i love that, most shounen would have them be like ‘che, i cant team up with anyone, i have to prove myself ALONE or my victory wont be EARNED’ or w/e idk. who knows that might happen later but rn i love how they all effortlessly work together (and how they all contribute - without each other they would have all failed at different points) 

oh man also killuas first appearence was so funny when he drank a bunch of tonpas poisoned drinks and was like [smirks] tch, loser, im immune to poison. get dunked on. [skateboard away] i love him so fuckgin much 

omfg that part where killua looks all shoujo/kawaii and is talking abt how hes gonna kill his family or w/e and gon is just like ^_^? i love they

HOOOOLY FUCK I ALMOST FORGOT, BUT 65% OF THE REASON I MADE THIS POST WAS TO MENTION HISOKAS THEME LMAOOOOO his music being like fuckgin, spanish guitar/traditional mexican type music is sooooo goddamn funny to me for some reason, like the first time it played i was like ok whats going ON with this spanish guitar lmao but then i figured out that its his theme and god thats so funny 

hisoka is also so fuckign jojo like he could so easily be in jojo. he and dio would be the fakest best friends ever and would constantly try to kill each other on the lowdown and shittalk each other constantly in private but be super sweet to each others faces. also they would hatefuck. no im not taking criticism bye 

i rlly love everyones backstories also, and i find it interesting that weve gotten to hear/see at least some of all 4 of the MCs backstories. theyre all compelling and interesting and i cant wait to dive in further 

also calling it now but kurapika is totally gonna get way too absorbed in revenge and get fucked up/disregard their own life (maybe in the style of robin in one piece?) we’ll see but i feel like it aint gonna end well. i could be wrong, i really havent been spoiled at all, thats just my guess 

hbahjfbshjf the ep that was called ‘hisoka x is x sneaky’ was SO funny that reads like a dora the explorer ep title 

also i had no idea the ep titles were formatted like that w/the x’s and thats rlly funny 

ok but the part where leorio - who seems to be pretty bad at fighting - tries to fight hisoka - whose literal first appearence involved him effortlessly dissolving a dudes arms - is so fucking funny. leorio rlly b a premed w/no brain cells....same bro. 

also i loved the Cutthroat Kitchen portion of the hunter exam and how not a single contestant was any good at it lmaoooo. do they not have the cooking channel in hxh-verse earth 

ok i love how the main characters are all intuitive in different ways depending on their own skills, like how killua can immediately guess that kurapika has never killed anyone before after they didnt kill evil-franky

kurapika joined killua in the Edgy Corner during that part also. like, they both have legit reasons to be edgy, but the shots of kurapika sitting in the darker tunnel part was kinda funny

also killua, a literal 12 yr old, calling out kurapika for being a murder virgin was pretty hilarious 

ok also i didnt know that madhouse animated hxh which is rlly funny but w/e i love the animation especially the occasional chibi parts and the facial expressions (like killuas ‘i love murder’ catboy expressions) 

oh also when killua murdered those 2 guys and his hand was all vein-y and his nails were pointy, his hands looked like hisokas do...i wonder if thats a legit connection or it hisoka just b getting his nails did 

kurapika talking abt how even seeing a regular spider makes them rlly angry was both very sad and kinda funny. kura u have so many issues god bless 

kurapikas smackdown on evil blue franky was fuckin dope tho. and the red eyes reveal was SPOICY 

rlly love how the individual fights highlights the characters strengths/morals/motivations/whatever....the writing is already really strong tbh 

ugh ok ive ranted enough this is a Lot lmao its so disorganized but w/e 

basically i love this series so far and im rlly curious whatll happen next. also everything seems pretty chill and upbeat so far (relatively) and i know this shit gets dark and im NOT FUCKING READY.

Day 6: Vacation 🏔

So-this one is a Modern AU- ish-again? Idk even no just know the Paladins are on a vaca and Keith meets you while there!

Keith trudged down the snow slope, his fingers frostbite and cold under his black gloves.

He definitely wasn’t made for the cold- he hated it.

He breathed out, watching his breath wrap into a cloud of mist in the air. He smiled to himself- it had been a fun day. He had learn how to ski, he went in the snow for the first time in his life, but it was definitely something he didn't want to do again. He was sore from hitting the snow so much, and his skin felt like ice. When everyone had asked for coffee, he quickly agreed to go get it for the group, even though he didn't care for coffee that much. He just wanted to get out of the cold.

Finally, he saw the coffee shop, a rustic sign hanging over the red town door. He opened the gold door knob, and tinkling chime going off as he entered.

The smell of brewing coffee hit him and the whir of coffee machines blending against each other made a welcoming noise.To Keith’s surprise, the coffee shop was empty, except for a frost bitten looking snowboarder and older woman typing madly on a laptop.

He looked around- the coffee shop was very quaint. It was small and comfy, with wooden chairs, warm lighting, and red and gold trinkets on shelves and counters all around the room.

His feet gravitated his towards the counter, where a girl with a messy ponytail was doing-something (he couldn't tell).

She spun around, her pony whipping around perfectly onto her light brown tee. Keith’s heart thumped unexpectedly- she was really pretty.

“Oh hi!” she said walking up to keith, “Sorry ‘bout that, I didn't even hear you!”

“Its-fine,” he replied, his eyes focusing on the worn wood of the counter.

The girl paused. “Wait….are you- Keith Kogane?”

Keith shot up his head in shock. “What?” he asked confused. Does he know her?

“Oh my god, you are!” the girl’s face broke out into a huge smile, excitement evident on her face. “Your the Black Paladin!”

“How do you know that?” Keith asked, his cheeks surprisingly warming up quickly. This girl knows him, and his team. He didn't know what to think.

The girl shrugged her shoulders, a bashful look on her face. “Ima bag fan of you guys… ya know after you saved Earth and all then you have that show.... And you do have the mark on your face,” she smiled timidly, pointing at the spot where Keith’s scar would be on her cheek.

“Oh,” he touched the mark on his face, feeling kinda honoured in a way. He didn't think people actually recognized him.

She smiled again as she put piece of hair behind your maroon colored hat.

“And it helps your wearing all black and red.”

Keith looked down, realizing that she was right- his whole outfit was black, save for the red flannel he wrapped around his jeans.

“Well,” he laughed, “that makes sense.”

She laughed with him, making his chest feel warmer and his anxiety ebb a little.

“So,” she asked sweetly, “what can I get you?”

Keith said “oh” again, realising he was actually here for something. He pulled out a crumpled piece of paper, reading what his friends had asked to get.

She giggled quietly as she watched him- he was really cute.

“Um….” Keith struggled a little to read his sloppy handwriting, “one small chai tea, one medium hot chocolate, one large caramel coffee with extra whip, one large white mocha coffee with extra whip, and… a black coffee.”

The girl wrote down the orders quickly, then looked at Keith with an amused look.

“Let me guess…” she mused as she pointed at each order she wrote down, “the chai is for Shiro, the hot chocolate is for Pidge, the large mocha is Hunk’s, Lance’s is the caramel, and your the black coffee.”

He looked at her with a mix of amusement and astonishment.

“Close… the mocha is for Lance and the caramel is for Hunk,” he corrected good-naturedly. She had surprisingly gotten the rest right.

“Aw shucks!” she joked, scrunching her nose as she snapped her fingers. Keith thought her expression was adorable. “It makes sense thought.”

“How were able to figure that out?” he asked, his stomach itching to know.

“Told ya,” she smirked, “pretty big fan- its not hard to know who would get what.”

Keith nodded in agreement, trying hard to not stare, but stare at the girl. In an effort to not look like a creep, he began to add up the order. It was just barelu under 20 dollars, which was good, because he only had a 20 dollar bill on him.

“Alrightie…” the girl said under her breath as she punched the last few numbers in the cash register, “thatll be 10.50 please.”

Keith looked at her in surprise. “Wait- it should have been a 20, right?”

“Well….you got a ‘Paladin’ discount,” her eyes gleamed with mischief, making his stomach flare up in butterflies.

“Is that even aa thing?” he questioned, a smile playing on his lips.

“It is now!” she laughed, watching his cheeks flare a little pink.

Keith was so confused- a girl had never gone out her way to do something nice like that.

“Well...thanks,” he mumbled, a little lose for words. God how could one girl do this to him.

“Its all good,” she said happily, “I'll get those done in a sec.”

She turned around, Keith watching her pretty hair flip again. He turned his back on the counter, deciding to walk around the store a bit- it couldn't take too long to make a few coffees.

“What's taking so long?” Keith thought grumpily- it felt like it had been forever.

Finally, the girl said something. “So what brings you to Snow Peaks?”

Oh, right,” he thought. That's the place they were staying for the week.

He shrugged his shoulders as he placed his now warm hands in his pockets.

“Just wanted to go in the snow for a bit. Explore, I guess.”

“Know any places you wanna go o here?” she asked conversationally as she placed lots of whip cream on a drink.

He chuckled. “Not really… were kinda just winging it.”

She giggled kindly, looking up at him through her lashes.

“Well, if you ever need a guide, I’ve got you.”

“Thanks,” he said, a small smile tugging on his lips.

“No problem!”

“And… your drinks are ready! Sorry it took so long,” she apologized, a sorry smile on her face.

His slight frustration melted away. “Your good,” he said, “and thanks for-

He didn't know really what to thank and how to say it- thanks for giving me a discount? Sounds too formal. Thanks for being nice to me? Sounds weird. Thanks for being a fan? Sounds way too entitled for his liking.

“-everything, I guess.”

Welp.

Not amazing but- it'll do.

“No problem,” she waved. “Bye Keith!”

He waved back as he grabbed the drinks, butterflies flitting in his stomach as he felt a little sad. He really liked that girl and wished he could talk to her more.

He walked outside, the bitter cold biting his exposed skin. He set the drinks down on a snow frosted table, wanting to get his coffee out and chug it to warm himself up.

He turned each cup, expecting to see something simple like “Black Coffee” sprawled on one, and saw something much different.

Each cup had a different color and name and symbol to match.

The chai one had “Shiro” in purple and the paladin armor symbol.

The hot chocolate said “Pidge” in green and a little green tree on the side.

Lance’s was in blue and had a seashell next to his name, and Hunk’s was in orange, with a small little gingerbread cookie wearing a bow tie.

Keith smiled to himself, the adorable artistry of his anonymous barista making him feel warm inside. She really did all that for his friends- and that's what took so long.

And he didn't even care.

The smile still on his face, Keith looked at his drink.

His was characteristically in red, his name drawn in pretty cursive. Instead of a symbol, his cup had a phone number, and a message:

A lot. He looked back at the coffee shop, and then at the drinks.

He began to walk, the cold not even bothering him at all. His body felt so happy it could burst into flames.

“I guess we'll finally have something to do tomorrow,” he thought wistfully as he saw his friends in the distance.

week thirty-nine

were practicing a lot for the concert rn so every school day has been just practicing which is fun!

had my last final for now on friday!! it was the second part of the swedish exam and it went better than expected. fridays mood was so weird. i was so happy for some moments and wanted to cry during some. i had slept like 5 hours the night before and when i meant to leave school w the earlier bus it just drove past and didnt stop at my stop so i had to wait another 2 hours for a bus (which was the one i originally planned to go w but the exam went by quicker than expected). i procrastinated hw and went out w i and t. we got maccas and then just drove around all night which was fun. i was so tired though.

d is talking to me more i think???? i am so conflicted. hes cute and nice and all. pretty funny. cute texter. flirty (?) but he has given me two major icks since we started talking......... one is a pic of him in a GAS MASK. he added it a few days after we started talking. if i had seen that from the start i wouldve swiped left. the other was when i asked what his favorite song was and he sent me the worst song ive ever heard. almost convinced hes cbat guy atp. lone digger by caravan palace. if he liked that song or had it in a pl id let it pass but AS A FAVORITE SONG???? oh no, baby, no. he said he likes most stuff, like hell listen to anything but i wasnt expecting THAT. he really meant it when he said anything.

i ghosted s. i blocked them but they dmed me on another acc TWICE. so i responded the second time and after some awkward ‘fighting’ they wanted to be friends in which i said yes bc im hoping itll die out soon. theyre nice and stuff but i didnt feel a spark but rn i think theres still a tiny awkward tension between us.

I feel absolutely horrible for taking so long to get back to your wonderful messages. I hope you can forgive me. ;__; It has been a hectic couple of months, and while they were amazingly fun, I have to say I’m happy to be reverting back to my regular schedule and pace. ive had this list of all the steam powered giraffe songs listed in order of my favorite to least favorite in each album, but i havent done anything with it and i made the list last year. thought id might as well post it!

each song has a little blurb about that song, and the reason i like it. strictly my opinions on the songs, but i tried to include some of the technical stuff so if you hadnt heard the song before, you could get a Feel of it.

album one

steam man band - wonderful lyrics and vocals! the robotic twinge i lovely and i wish this was longer. i love the lyric “count to twenty, one is plenty”

clockwork vaudeville - a charming song about a boy seeing the robots for the first time at a fair and you feel it in every note. theres a part where the spine switches to a more harsh voice and it works wonderfully to contrast the smoothness of thus far.

electricity is in my soul - again, i love the robotic edge this song has, but it also is smooth. the lyrics and vocals are amazing. so fun to sing along to.

brass goggles - the first song i heard of them, the three part harmonies are to die for and rabbit kills it. in the original version, the voices are super busy and super robotic and tbh its my fav version because of this. i adore when they split into three parts and sing their own thing.

sound of tomorrow - i love the chorus, especially the echo the spine does. love all the weird lyrics the jon sings.

blind minstrels ballad - i love how ambient and mysterious it is. sets the mood for a story. i love the jons voice.

steam man band reprise - i love michaels voice and the staticy effects the band had a lot of in this album. the lyrics work really well and i wish this was longer.

captain albert alexander - one of my favorite hero songs, caa is a whirlwind adventure of a man who loves the sea. i love the story line and it hits you hard emotionally

out in the rain - ambiance! i love the mood this song sets.

on top of the universe - a cute song about being in love, very charming and captures the feeling of falling in love at first sight. i love the end part where the spine has to be beat up.

ice cream parade - hilarious! works well as a skit but the song itself is messy. i like the horse adventure part (of course i start to like it when the spine starts singing).

2cent show

automatonic electronic harmonics - western vibes but keep the steam punk feel! robotic themed but focused around the spines feeling and experiences. i love the screaming. the second spg song i listened to.

circuitry - i cant understand what their saying, but i love the robotic screeching and words you can just barely understand. a circusy feeling.

juju magic - the jon kills it with the mood again, i love that you have that steamboat feel, but now everything is going crazy. nothing is right and the lyrics dont make sense but it works wonderfully.

me and my baby - this song makes you want to dance and the spine kills the vocals.

one way ticket - i love the feel of this song! the lyric “the conductor plays the bass, and the train it has a face” just. gives you that mood that this is all magical and cartoony and its just an adventure your having on a train.

the suspender man - one of my other favorite hero song. the lyrics can get strange at times but thats part of the charm. its so fun to sing along, especially in the fast parts. i love singing never 21 times.

steamboat shenanigans - i adore the lyrics. youre standing on a boat running on music and good feeling. the lyrics are silly and the vocals are wonderful. rabbit has a charming edged voice. uncle ralphie makes his appearance in a tuba

prelude to a dream - again, michaels charming voice strikes again. the way the lyrics are sung are eerie but strike you.

the ballad of lily - what is it with me and liking the segway songs more than the actual songs. the ballad of lily slowly builds into something greater as time goes on and i love the accordion.

make believe - another song i want to dance to, the chorus is so fun and great. this song is about being good.

honeybee - one of my favorite parts of this is how when the robots sing “bee” it reminds me of the subtle sounds of a bee buzzing. a sad song about love, maybe something we can relate to.

rex marksley - a wild wild west adventure following the greatest hero, rex wanders around doing good deeds for his life. a great beat and chorus, but it the verses that make it great.

scary world - i love the tentative way things are sung, spine and the gang are scared during this song, something is afoot. pretty sure the morse code says something serious and imaginative, and then ends with the word “bananimals”

thatll be the way home - another era song, you get the feel of the time period like a lot of the other songs on this album. thatll is a really fun word to sing repeatedly.

airheart - a story about a part airplane part woman who becomes a great pilot. a cute story with a great harmony.

little birdie - cute lyrics, the mood of the song is so strange and not how you would think.

go spine go - easily one of my favorite songs. a jazzy sort of song about the spine having diarrhea. poor spine gets harassed by his band mates

roller skate king - all time favorite hero song. rsk is just a fun guy who roller skates and wants other people to have fun. i cant help but to dance to this song and the chorus is super catchy.

wired wrong - a song that hits too far home. weve all felt wired wrong one way or another. the harmonies are so solemn but hit all the right emotions.

hatch fever - hatchworths debut song. hes still learning what its like to be one of the singing bots so hes still working out the kinks. fast and catchy, i love the abrupt breaks in the song.

fancy shoes - mysterious fancy shoes from a mouse find themselves on hatchys feet. i love the tangents and the footfall sounds at the beginning set the mood of the strange yet serious mood of the song.

steam powered giraffe - you can feel everyone getting ready to sing, i love how you hear about the robots being robots. i love the contrast between all the robots voices tied together with lovely lyrics and a fun beat.

ghost grinder - rabbit strikes again with a chilling song, but this song works the scary theme into a fun halloweeny song about a dancing event.

mecto amore - i love the sultry kind of beat this song has at the beginning. always in love with songs that remind you these singers are robots.

turn back the clock - i cried listening to this song like full on sobbing. rabbit has such a true performance of watching a little girl grow up in little to no time. the song is heart wrenching but worth a listen to understand a part of rabbits character. you can feel her emotions as she laments time.

please explain - silly lyrics that fit together nicely. a series of questioning things the robots dont understand. the spines verse is funny not because of the spine, but the other robots making razzberry sounds during it.

a way into your heart - a love letter to the fans. weve had hard times but the robots will be there for us to sing with and get a smile back on our face. a cute song, but the first few lyrics are sung awkwardly.

bleak horizon - i think its hilarious when the little kid is just like “...bye” a chilling song about the future. harmonies are on point

steam powered giraffe reprise - a cute idea that works really well on stage and kind of random on the cd. the robots have been reset and now sing in japanese. kind of stunted sounding japanese but the song is still catchy and lively.

ill rust with you - this song screams grease. super 70s and you pick up that feel immediately. you can practically imagine rabbit in the all the clothes she describes

she said maybe - another song boasting spines vocal range. kind of creepy.

vice quadrant

its cosmic - the chorus, god the chorus. the progression of notes leaves my ears wanting only more.

the speed of light - you can pinpoint just where the song takes its turn from innocent amazement to more sinister. all this power, you feel invincible. chilling, just like all the song about the astronaut. the build up is amazing.

progress and technology - i adore the spines sharpness of his voice. the robotic feel matches the theme of how the future has come so far. slightly ominous in its lyrics, you feel like something will go wrong with this utopia.

oh no - legit sobbed the first few times i listened to it. the soliton reprise kills me every time. the first word sung is actually my favorite, but i love the pacing of this song, especially at the beginning

daughter of space - the story lyrics that the spine continues to excel at. i love how the lyrics mimic the astronauts feelings towards the daughter of space.

on a crescendo - soft, homely, this song lets you live in the comfort of your time while describing how far humans have come. im so glad a song so chill made it into this album.

commander cosmo - im so glad dwight is ok. captures the emotions and the views of both commander and the public. an emotional roller coaster.

necrostar - rabbit kills it with the sexy deep, scary lyrics. necrostar cant help but to sound sultry as he describes how he is the one to destroy humanity

steamjunk - the perfect opener for winks arc. lost, but hopeful. i love the progression of the song and the chorus.

the pulls - ive never loved a waltz so much. morbid lyrics sung beautifully and calmly toward you. so strange that hatchworth sings low, but i wouldnt have it any other way

whale song - oh so, so cute. oh my gosh. so. cute. rabbit is just teeth rottingly adorable and im so glad we get to hear her take center stage on her accordion. i love the conversation of them just starting a song on the fly.

the vice does tight - harmonies! scary, and set the mood of the impending doom. i love how the lyrics flow and adore how the singers switch

where i left you - saddening, but in the longing sense. hatchworths voice is back to the countertenor were used to.

wink the satellite - hatchworth and wink are just too cute. i love the speaking parts.

fire fire - a lovely song, that is until you realize what its about. this guy just does not have good luck. loses a lot of the emotion of the live performance, but it works to separate the graphic scenes from the audience. back ups make the song. the pinao crawling up the scales gives me chills.

soliton - a love song in its core. love the build up to the chorus. i love when cosmic sings as well! because she loves the astronaut too.

burning in the stratosphere - short and sweet. i love the suspense and build of the countdown and the irony.

star valley night - i love the off key sort of singing for some reason. the up and downs are wrong in all the right ways. cute silly lyrics from all the bots.

starburner - a cute, up beat song. maybe wishing on stars isnt a good idea, but the conversations in this song make this song cute. more spine crying plz

starlight star shine - love that acoustic guitar, especially since so much of this album is synthesized and electronic. a charming love song.

the space giant - i love the conversations that take place in this song. the story progression and especially the part where their blasting off of earth are great.

over the moon - catchy and sweet. the chorus is my favorite part.

sky sharks - not really a fan of professor elemental, but i love the silliness of the song. strange things are happening but its so silly and presented silly. song gets dated with a 50 shades of grey reference.

hold me - sad, but lovely. the verses are cute.

gg the giraffe - cute lyrics! gg introduces herself and expects only gratitude for existing. gg voice is meant to be obnoxious however and makes the song a little hard to bear.

steam world heist (not including remakes of the songs)

what we need are some heroes - i fell in love with this song at first listen. such a depressed world, but hope is always on the horizon. im always a sucker for the spines voice. “forever and a day” always hits me hard for some reason. the chorus is so hopeful.

the red queen - grew on me. originally i was upset things payed into a red queen sense, but the sharp noises vocals and robotic laughing, well, that grows on a person. i loved all the staticy distorted noises.

the vast frontier - so chilling, hatchworth returns with his slightly morbid lyrics and wonderfully written music.

star scrap - another song i cant help but to sing with. a bit depressing, but fits the mood of the album. i love the ending

the stars - i love how space western this song is. back to the old roots, perhaps. again, im at the mercy of spines wonderful vocals. hatchworths verse is silly and cute and im not even mad it breaks the song up

prepare for boarding - i love the shifts in this song, they all work well to make the song interesting.

quintessential

only human - this song never fails to make me smile. hatchworth can sing and help me as much as he wants. sigh. he just wants things to be easier and better for us. i love the other robots interjections, but hatchworth is the real star of the show.

the ballad of delilah morreo - the rapid one right after the other beat of the lyrics and music make me love this song so much. the chorus is killer. “bat and beast and wolf and spider” always gets stuck in my head

overdrive - i love the echo that the band sings. everyone is so great in this song. hatchworth has the greatest lines but once the beat drops, oh boy. those harmonies. reminds you how robotic they are without being the same robotic they were in the first few albums. theyve been refined and fixed up. maybe not the biggest fan of the rap.

malfunction - this song can hit close to home. a different take on being wrong than something like wired wrong, but this one chooses to embrace those malfunctions. the chorus is lovely

photographic memories - maybe a bit slow at points, but sets up this new lover the spine seems to infatuated with. this isnt some fling, this is someone he wanted to spend his life with. the verses make the song, but the chorus doesnt holdout. the music in between verse keep you interested and the subtle changes keep you on your toes as the song shifts.

i dont have a name for it - such a charming, cute love song. i absolutely adore when the bots switch off singing words and parts of words. that up and down of their voices hits me just right.

sleep evil sleep - the lyrics are dreamy, but solidify in just the right moments. this song is about taking a break from the awfulness, just for one night.

blue portals - the chorus really keeps with you, another song where hatchworth just wants to do good, although this lets you see his more chaotic side.

salgexicon - honestly i still cant believe they made their dnd characters part of the spg lore. among hero songs, this one is pretty memorable, even if its cluttered with so many characters. the chorus gets stuck in your head, but the verses are what keep me interested. im glad salgexicon cries a lot but is still heroic.

leopold exeditus - i absolutely love the music that accompanies the song. the chorus is great and i love the divergence in the middle. “mozambique” is the best word ive ever heard get sung ever.

dream machine - a lovely closing piece, now that the evil sleeps, she can sleep and dream. seems almost like amsr during the verses.

love world of love - the beginning lyrics are my favorite, which make up for the repetitive chorus.

WOW alright. This is long please ignore im just pissed tf off. 

So once upon a time i lived with a(n apparently former) friend named ezra and he decided 2 months into our second year of our lease that he was too depressed to live in our apartment anymore. He says hes gonna move back in with his parents but continue to pay the rent. Alright. Kinda a bummer, but im used to people bailing out on living with me. (this would be the 3rd time lol) This boy took almost 3 months to move all of his stuff out, and still didnt get everything! He left trash, dead plants, game consoles, and other random belongings scattered around the house. I tried for a month to get him to finally come get the rest of the shit he left and leave his house key (SINCE HE DOESNT LIVE HERE), until he finally did, but left what i just mentioned and DIDNT leave the key. I ask him if hes gonna come back the next day to get the rest of his stuff. no response. I tell him im just gonna keep his stuff if he doesnt come get it the next day cuz hes had 3 MONTHS to get it out and im getting annoyed. I get a letter in the mail saying there was something up with the rent, which his parents pay his half of. ik i paid by half exactly so im wondering if they overpaid this amount or underpaid. no response. OKAY. i text him say id like him to respond to me when im trying to talk to him about important things. no response. at this point im getting pissed off and i text him once a day the next 2 or 3 days being like DUDE. TF. FINALLY he answers and he just say “keep everything. bye” LIKE???????? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GO ABOUT THIS  LIKE AN ADULT AND YOUVE BEEN THE ONE IGNORING ME AND LEAVING YOUR STUFF HERE WHEN YOU DONT LIVE HERE?? We were on totally good terms like a month ago so idk why he suddenly is acting like im being a huge bitch? God forbid i try to keep him accountable for HIS RESPONSIBILITIES. I tell him i dont really wanna keep his stuff, and that he still has the key ive asked for a few times. He says hes gonna turn the key in to the leasing office when the lease is up. excuse me NO??? I say that he doesnt live here, and im not comfortable with him having a key to my house. suddenly thats a direct attack on him and he goes “oh my god do you think im just gonna barge in whenever i want?? jesus” Like....yes I am worried abt that bc youve done it before! and thats not even the point! YOU. DONT. LIVE. HERE. YOU made the decision to move out, you loose access to this house. Thats that. I dont want ANY of my friends just having a fucking key to my house! (except my bestie but ya know) And i was like trying so hard to stay calm and continue to be AN ADULT and not a WHINY VICTIMIZED BITCH BABY and i was like “then why do you need it? i live here, you dont, i dont want you to have a key especially not with the way youre acting rn” and hes  like “ i dont need it. Ill turn it in to them early if thatll make you feel better” Like better but also no?? I need to know you dont have the key anymore and its my house and I want the key?? why is that such a hard request?? I tell him to mail it to me or throw it in the bushes by the door since he apparently hates my guts now for some fucking reason and refuses to see or talk to me????? he of course has stopped responding again so i tell him if i dont get my stuff back (including some chopsticks he accidentally took) that i would drive out to his house to get them from him. I came home from work and the chopsticks were left at the doorstep but i still didnt see the key anywhere. So i texted him asking about it and of course he didnt respond. I honestly have no idea what set him off. I thought we were p good friends but if hes gonna be acting like this im not even sure if i care he doesnt wanna talk to me anymore. i just want the damn house key back. Im sure his super paranoid, untrusting, asshole parents said some shit to him and thats why hes acting like this. Welp. We have another challenge. Its 2 puzzles and 1 sliding puzzle. Not that good with puzzles. Here is hoping that we are better than the other tribe. I dont want to go to tribal again. First try and i got 11ish minutes for easy puzzle. 😧 need to try harder to be faster.

Okay so Dennis got a CRAZY score. I got a good score on the hard puzzle. I could do better but why waste my time looking like a big threat when I'm not super worried if we go to tribal. No matter how this challenge works out I'll be in an okay spot.

omg so we won immunity and im so happy i did NOT want to go to tribal again. i accidentally got obsessed with binging YOU on netflix and forgot to msg ppl so that was scary SAKJFHASJ. but i feel like keaton is next to go maybe... like me nathan and annabelle could work together i hope and me and maynor are still close idk. or maybe they want me out... downside of being so threateningly iconic i guess... but ya dont have to worry about that i hope we merge after this but maybe we'll have to wait until f9 and thatll be real sad tbh! the other tribe is like hm dennis, nick, brian, nicole, sharky, matt. so its like 3-3 from swapped tribes :O i hope that either nick/sharky/nicole go home wooh! no offence to sharky just has a scary name

I am so happy that we won immunity. Especially winning by a minute and something seconds. Right now I have an alliance with Keaton which is my ride or die. Bryce is also an ally. Nate is an ally for now.  Hopefully Sharky still wants to work with me because I still want to. Im glad my first tribal went smoothly.

After this vote better be merge I’m so antsy, I can’t believe the one time I sat out we lost. I really had a good story going down with not going to tribal until merge then they RUINED it. Men ruin everything I told you so. Anyway, the vote is most likely gonna be Nick. Dennis and I are a duo at this point bc he tells me everything going on in the game. Brian and I talk, Sharky and I talk, Matt and I talk. There’s only so many options on a tribe, ya feel? So that just leaves poor Nick who f’ed up the puzzles for everyone.

I don’t have much to say I’m glad we won because I still haven’t gotten to the bottom of what Marie said how they threw me under the bus so I’m glad we aren’t going to tribal also Keaton annoyed me highkey with how rude he was to Marie

OK, so we lost the challenge... and we're back to scrambling around to try and find anyone to blame and vote out.  I think most of the tribe is set on voting for Nick tonight, whereas I think Nick has thrown Nicole's name out there (or at least told Dennis he heard it).

I think Nick going is ideal but I do recognize the threat of people like Dennis and Sharky in this game... and it does concern me... but I would love to go into the merge with meat shields galore!  So I'm hoping that taking Nick out will allow me a better blend-in point in this game so that all the shields can take each other out and I can thrive in the chaos.  I do hope we merge shortly, but I'm ready to continue fighting it out either way.

God this tribal is quiet. Like my oh my is it quiet. I am definitely tempted to use my idol tonight if Nick pulls any shenanigans with advantages, but I hope that I can avoid using it to be quite honest. I feel like I have a good rapport with everyone, Brian and Sharky i worked very hard on to ensure that they trusted me (which apparently they did cause they knew i was from FB LOL). SO ya i am nervous but I pulled my weight thus far in the game and make connections. Im just really paranoid as making jury would be fucking lovely and I don't want another premerge placement to my name tyvm.

Okay I'm trying to play it cool and laid back and not do too much talking. But in case jury starts this round I want to save face with Nick. So I told him I would talk to people about getting Nicole voted out. I'm not going to. As much as I may have been frustrated with Nicole at first I'd like to be OG Dinah strong going in to the merge and she's more active now so we get along. So i'll wait like 20/30 minutes and then be like "idk if it's going to work. Nobody wants to vote Nicole idk?" and take it from there.

WOW WOW WOW. This playing both sides thing has really paid off. NICK HAS AN IDOL. I wanted to stay close to him for a possible jury vote but this is so much better. Brian and I had talked about how Dennis is a huge threat and possibly getting rid of him could be a great move. Nick is definitely using his idol. And he locked his vote on Nicole. No one else knows about the idol. So I can either let Nicole go. Or I can make a power move and vote Dennis and then we get him on the revote. Sorting it out with Matt now. This is going to be a shocker.

So I’m getting votes but it’s ok because I’m gonna play my idol! Dennis and Nicole have another thing coming if they think they can take me out this easily. What a premerge it has been!

Fake Love pt.3

It was finally Sunday and you were giddy with excitement. Yes, you knew it wasn’t a real date, but it was basically the same thing. Sun was in the shower taking her sweet time while you waited outside yelling at her to hurry up, grabbing your towels.

You ended up going to her house so you two could prepare for your dates. Plus that’s where Jimin and Jungkook were going to pick you two up, so you both decided it’d be better if you just went over.

Sun finally stepped out of the bathroom in her towel and you quickly made your way there to grab your shower and you know do your business.

After about an hour, the two of you were almost ready. Clothes were flung around the room, (typical girls’ room when we get ready to go out ;D ) the different combinations just didn’t pass Sun’s or your approval.

You guys were putting on your makeup and you were doing your eye liner when you realized: “I don’t know why I’m even spending so much time on my eyes. They’re just going to be hidden by my glasses in the end anyway.” You sigh, putting down your eyeliner. Looking over at Sun, you turn around and lean against the dresser.

“Nah, trust me you look bomb with the liner with and without your glasses.” She turned towards you and winked before continuing to apply her lipstick. You smile, shaking your head. What would you do without her.

Getting off the dresser you walk towards the bed and sit clutching your stomach filled with nervous butterflies. You were starting to get nervous since the time Jimin was supposed to come came closer and closer.

“Fuck I’m getting nervous” you let out smiling weakly at the girl in front of you.

Sun turns towards you finishing up her makeup. “Same. But hey, it’ll be worth it at the end,” walking towards you she bends down and grabs your hand, playing with your fingers. “Kind of excited though…” she looks up at you and grins and you couldn’t help, but agree.

The door bell, at last, rings and you find your smile slipping from your face, your nervousness getting the best of you.

“Oh god, they’re here. I look okay right?!” you get up, pulling her up with you.

“You look great babe, what about me?” Sun looks at you, the worry shown on her face.

“Perfect.” You squeeze her hands. “Okay Sunny, let’s do this.” You give her an attempt of a reassuring smile and the two of you leave her room to greet the hotties downstairs hehe.

Climbing down the stairs you caught a view of the two males in front of the doorway greeting Sun’s mother, looking well like I said HOT. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from Jimin who looked absolutely ravishing in his black ripped jeans and blue shirt with a black blazer draped over his shoulders.

And there was Jungkook there wearing his signature white shirt (though may I say that this one actually fit snugly lool) with a blue blazer on top paired with some dark blue jeans.

Sun pulls your hand and drags you down the rest of the stairs, cause let’s be honest who the hell can walk properly with two ridiculously attractive men in front of you ~swooon

Jimin then looks up towards you two his eyes trailing over the two of you and smiling.

“There they are!” Jungkook grins widely and raises his arms. “There’re the beautiful women.”

You just laugh while Sun, beside you, blushes and squeezes your hand. “You don’t look too bad yourself.” She retorts back, and then it was his turn to blush.

You smile and then look over at Jimin who had an unreadable expression on his face. You let out a “hey” and he snaps his head towards you and smiles back.

“Hey! He’s right, you two do look great.” And you immediately blush and look down thinking omg he thinks I look good and the butterflies in ur stomach just explode.

Suns just grinning at you before she claps her hands and goes “Oh it’s your first time meeting right?!” and she grabs Jimin’s hand and Jungkook’s hand and brings them together forcing them to shake hands.

“This is Jimin, my other amazing and important best friend, and this is Jungkook, a co-worker and really good friend of mine.” And she looks up at Jungkook giving him a sweet smile that just takes his breath away.

The two shake hands and you can’t help, but notice the small, wry smile on Jimin’s face.

“Okay kids, now you know the drill, be safe and keep your phones on you in case of an emergency. BYE!” and Sun’s mom pushes you four out the door after making the two boys promise to take care of you two and you yell out a “Bye Mrs. Lee!”.

The plan was to take Jungkook’s car to a restaurant that was nearby.

Jungkook opens the passenger seat and motions for Sun to go in going all “M’lady.” And you just grin madly seeing Sun getting all shy muttering a thank you and getting in the car.

And then you look over at Jimin to see him staring over at them too with a sort of frown on his face before he opens the door and gets in, you following feeling quite confused towards Jimin’s quietness.

Once the car starts moving you look over at Jimin next to you and feel slightly guilty.

Did he not want to come out tonight?

The thought made you feel horrible and so you nudge him softly.

“I know this was all sudden and I’m sorry you’re being forced to do this with me.” You let out quietly.

And he immediately widens his eyes and goes “No, no of course not! I mean I said yes, I agreed to it. This isn’t forced at all!”

And you can’t help the feeling of relief going through you as you smile at him.

At the restaurant, you guys are all sitting at your table eating your meals.

Jungkook and Sun are seriously hitting it off and you cudnt have been more proud of your best friend.

On the other hand…. Well, let’s just say it’s been pretty quiet with Jimin. He didn’t talk much and whenever you tried to strike a conversation with him, he’d reply sweetly and quickly and that was about it.

You were slightly sad to say the least, and Sun noticed.

“Hey (Y/N) I have to go to the bathroom, come with me?” and you quickly nodded and got up. “We’ll be back!” she let out and the two of you left to the bathroom.

“Wats going on Y/N? You two have been so quiet.” She clasped onto your hand, once in the bathroom.

“I know… I don’t know Sun I don’t think this was a good idea. He really doesn’t seem to be enjoying himself, and it just… it feels awkward.”

“Nonsense Y/N! Maybe it’s just because Jungkook and I are there? How about this; I’ll tell Jungkook, after we leave the restaurant, to drop us all off at my house and then I’ll make Jimin walk you to your house!”

“What?! No! You can’t leave me alone with him! It’ll be so awkward.”

“Uh uh, no Y/N, you need to be able to talk to him alone if you want to date him in the end right?! Come on sweetie you can do this!” and she squeezes your hand with encouragement.

Looking down, you softly reply an okay.

Walking out of the bathroom, you see Jungkook talking to Jimin happily, a cute bunny smile on his face, while Jimin was smiling at him.

“Ouh they seem like they’re getting along. That’s a relief.” Sun whispers to you.

“Of course they would, Jungkook’s a sweetheart and damn you two have been hitting it off.”

And the Sun looks at you with a small, shy smile. “I know, I’m so happy.”

And you squeeze her hand.

Out of the restaurant and arriving at Sun’s house, Sun turns towards you and Jimin with a huge smile.

“Hey Jiminie, can you walk Y/N to her place? It’s dark out and we want to make sure she stays safe yeah?”

“Oh I can drop you off if you want Y/N.” Jungkook lets out looking at you.

“Oh no!” Jungkook and Jimin both look at Sun, surprised. “It’s just… I thought we could talk a bit more…” she says shyly looking down. And Jungkook’s heart burst.

“It’s fine Jungkook, I’ll bring her back. That’s supposed to be my job for tonight anyway.” And Jimin looks over at you smiling lightly causing your heart to burst.

Out of the car and walking towards your home, you two walk in silence.

The night was beautiful, the moon shining in the sky with crickets chirping away.

Clearing your throat you look up at Jimin, not being able to handle the silence any longer.

“Jimin?”

“Hm?” He looks down at you.

“Everything okay?” It was strange. Over the past few months that you’ve known and talked to Jimin, he has never been this quiet. The boy’s always bubbling with cheerfulness and kindness. The fact that he barely spoke a word all night was just surprising and worrying.

He didn’t say anything for a minute and you let him be, not wanting to push him into being uncomfortable.

“Can I tell you something?” he finally muttered.

“Of course!” You reply. Then gathering all the courage you have, you slowly reach out and take his hand in yours.

Fuck it was so soft and warm.

He looks at you immediately and smiles. “Thank you… It’s… It’s about Sun.”

Looking at the confusion on your face he chuckles. “What about her? About Jungkook you mean? You didn’t like him?”

“No, no!” Jungkook was sweet. He’s a good guy.” And then so soft, you almost missed it, you hear “That’s the problem.”

A feeling of dread starting to pool in your stomach, you reply. “Wh-what do you mean.”

Jimin sighs. “You know how we met right? Me and Sun? I was being bullied by these other guys when Sun came in and helped me. I remember how cool she looked and instantly she became one of the most important people in my life.” He pauses and you squeeze his hand to continue. “As the years passed… she… she started to become more than just a hero to me. I.. I started liking her.”

You held your breath.

“For the 15 years I’ve known her… I fell so deep for her, and seeing her with Jungkook… fuck it bothers me so much.”

Your heart shattered.

Ok so today wasn’t so bad. I still don’t have internet btw, which is jjust so cool ofc… I woke up at 730 and chilled in bed for a lil b4 I got up and got dressed and got all ready for school. Catherine had to drive me bc my car was in the shop so we left at like 810 and got there around 830ish and we parked at horsebarn hill, which they added more commuter parking to! Yay! My class was in hicks so it was right there and then I had INTERNET! So I posted my replies yaaaaaaaaaay!

The first class I had was wetlands ecology and the guy doesn’t talk very loud but honestly he was kinda funny and seemed like a nice dude so I think its gonna be good and not too hard. We did an activity and for part of it you had to find someone who had been to minesota, and when we finished he called on me bc I had been there. It was weird, he asked weird questions that I couldn’t answer like which suburb was my family from??? And I had no clue… I just said we go to st paul. I guess he did his degree there so he thought I knew shit but im from cali baby sorry

Next class was in the basement of ITE so I had to RUN omg. Its already hard enough to go downhill from there to hicks, and going up sucked. But the second class was intimate relationships and OH BOY im excited for this class! The teacher sounds gay first of all which is cool even if hes not gay, and its about all SORTS off interesting things that I kinda just think I should know about. He specifically noted that hes going to try to be inclusive and we are going to talk about non hetero things which is GREAt. I drafted an email to send when im on campus tomorrow with questions about honors conversion and his research and stuff so I rly hope he replies

So then I went to the gym and did arms, and MAN my pump was awesome. I could pull 100 on the lat pulldown doing chinup grip and I could only pull like 80 last semester! I felt pumped. It wasn’t so busy bc I went at like 1130 when everyone was eating lunch so it was great yaaaaay! So then I showered and I met my dad so that he could get lunch and I could eat mine, and then I had to run nd get my last HPV vaccine shot and it hurt but I did great hehe and now im ALL DONE. No more fuckin needles for a while thank god. My arm is gonna be sore for like 4 dayss though, so that’s why I did arms today lol

Then we went and got my car and the tires apparently are worn down in weird spots so its kind of a bumpy ride but I mean… I will survive I guess. We also ran to target (altho I was fucking dying I was so tired) and we got a bike. We brought it back and at first I was having major issues and it was being shti and I thought it might not be good, but I took it around again and actually I think itll be fine. So hopefully thatll help me get around campus because last year I was fast walking a lot abd honestly like what the fuck. ALSO the buses are fucked up because theres a road closure and basically you cant get anywhere so I wanted a bike to jst be able to go fast. Its in my trunk and im gonna use it tomorrow… wish me luck

I came home and my dad eventually left and he gave me a card that had 140$ in it omg thank god I can actually pay for groceries while I wait for paychecks for a month. I took a shift Wednesday n ight with Meagan so things should get moving in that respect, I hope. Aw shit I GOTTA remember to bring my work clothes on Wednesday then, wow. I should have time to change and stuff. Ill also need two meals… ill figure it out I guess uhh

Btw I was so annoyed bc I cried a little when my dad left because I feel so bad that HE feels sad about leaving and it just makes me feel shitty… im in this weird limbo where like… he is still mean to me sometimes and he does bad things but its not as bad as it used to be but the past still HAPPENED sso I mean? Im not forgiving him and I cant ever feel comfortable around him and I just. I guess I feel like I should never feel sad abt it and im really not I just. Idk. Im not really sure rn.

Made some food and chatted with Catherine a bit, almost burnt my nachos but I saved them. The broiler is quite hot here. Then I excused myself at like 930 because omg I needed to fucking write like, im gonna get nothing done if I just get stuck talking to Catherine for hours every night. But tomorrow im coming home at like 330 and she wont be here for 2 hrs after that so hopefully I can chill and maybe make rice then and get a head start on things… that would be good. I have to do some reading for both of my classes so far but im not good at reading during the week, I might see if I can wait and read it/catch up/read ahead on the weekend when I have more time. Catherine will also be gne then and it’s a 3 day weekend so I think thatll work out well honestly

Well I gotta go to bed now I have a class at 930 and I gotta go early to work out this bike so bye
