Okay I was thinking about Roach again (big surprise I know) and I was specifically thinking about his callsign.

Usually the story I go with for how Roach God his callsign is simply because he's so prone to mishaps on missions (nearly falling off a cliff, having a building break under him, etc) but always makes it out alive he ended up getting dubbed as being "just like a Roach." And thus, the callsign.

However, I was thinking about the theory that I've seen some people drop about him getting his callsign because he survived several explosions or even one big one. And during explosions the Roaches always seem to come out alive. But, more specifically, that Roaches are far more resistant to radiation than humans. Meaning nuclear radiation.

Now some of yall probably know where I'm going with this, but for those of yall that don't, let me tell yall about a little guy named Paul Jackson.

Paul Jackson is one of the 2 main characters of the original modern warfare and he and several others end up dying when a nuke is set off. I really enjoy pairing Jackson and Roach together as friends and while I would usually place Roach as a former US Army Ranger, perhaps he was USMC. With Jackson.

Consider Roach having been present during the push on OpFor in the middle east. He's in the same squad as Jackson or possibly even worked under Griggs. When the nuke gets set off, Roach is one of the people in on of the planes that gets knocked down by the aftershocks. He's one of the only one's to survive the crash. He's got to navigate his way through enemies, dangerous terrain, and the danger of spreading radiation to get to safety.

Roach comes out of it alive and gets his callsign because of it.

Alternatively I also love the idea that he got his callsign because he's terrified of Roaches and screamed when he saw one crawling across the floor in the barracks. Thats probably the more realistic one lol

I'm reading through the allegiences and trying to decide if I should commit to reading over 200 pages. What happened to Otterslip??? Why was he exiled?? He seemed so happy and friendly dude I can't?? I was brought here by an Evil Ravenstar fanart, but WHO IS RAVENSTAR?? Where did Nick go did Nick die?????? I like that the Goldenstar family tree is still running though. Original cat lineage from the founding of the Clan :3

well, I can't tell you the individual fate of each and every cat (I mean. I Could. but thats kind of the point of the moon updates) but i can give you the general rundown of the clan :)

The clan started with seven cats--Scorchstar, Nettlestem, Wildfang, Oaktuft, Morningpaw, Goldenkit, and Sunkit. Very early on, Wildfang was killed when rogues attacked the camp. This is also how Scorchstar lost her first life.

Wildfang was the medicine cat, meaning that after she died, the clan didn't have one anymore. By this point, Goldenpaw was already on his way to being a warrior, but Sunkit hadn't started her training yet. Scorchstar decided that when she became old enough, Sunkit would be the medicine cat for the clan. Sunkit, who desperately wanted to be a warrior, was understandably upset by this. This was the first instance of a long line of disagreements between her and Scorchstar.

Goldenpaw and Morningpaw became Goldenflare and Morningbloom. Along the way, they fell in love, then, to their elation, Morningbloom became pregnant! Unfortunately, the birth was hard, and she died almost immediately after, leaving Goldenflare the single father of three kits. He named them Maplekit, Applekit, and Honeykit. Only a few moons after their birth, a loner named Toro joined the clan, bringing her two kits, Silverkit and Dawnkit, with her.

The five kits eventually all became apprentices, and then warriors--save for Silverkit, who decided to be a medicine cat, and was apprenticed to Sunwish (formerly Sunkit). Their full names became Maplethorn, Applebranch, Honeygleam, Silverbelly, and Dawnshine. Silverbelly and Applebranch became mates, as did Honeygleam and Dawnshine.

Somewhere in there, Scorchstar became mates with her deputy, Nettlestem, and they adopted a single kit together, Otterkit (eventually Otterslip). When Otterkit was an apprentice, Nettlestem was attacked and killed by dogs. Scorchstar blamed Sunwish for being unable to save her, even though there was nothing to be done. Mad with grief, Scorchstar murdered Sunwish in a fit of rage. At this time, nobody knew except Otterslip.

Not long after the murder, Scorchstar herself was torn apart by a pack of dogs. She read this as Starclan punishing her for what she had done. Realizing it was wrong, she repented, and begged for forgiveness--reluctantly, Starclan allowed her into their ranks. Goldenflare, who was appointed deputy after Nettlestem, received his nine lives and took on the name Goldenstar.

(Since you asked, Nick died the same moon that Scorchstar did. He was buried in a rockslide.)

Otterslip, as an adult, found three abandoned kits and adopted them as his own. He named them Yewkit (Yewberry), Ivykit (Ivybounce), and Grasskit (Grassroot). Grassroot went on to be (you guessed it) killed by dogs. Otterslip, following in his mother's footsteps, blamed Stormsight (Silverbelly's apprentice) for not being able to save her.

Stormsight was told by Starclan that Scorchstar had killed Sunwish. He wanted to tell the clan about this. The combination of this fact and the fact that he 'failed' to save Grassroot drove Otterslip to murder him, by pushing him off a cliff.

Goldenstar also died at this time, losing his final two lives by falling off a cliff. His deputy (and son), Maplethorn, took his place as leader and became Maplestar.

Only a few moons after Maplestar became leader, the truth about what Otterslip had done came to light, and he was exiled from Fallenclan. His surviving children, Yewberry and Ivybounce, spent the rest of their lives with their father's betrayal hanging over their heads.

During Maplestar's reign, Fallenclan came to war with Shallowclan over Shallowclan's lack of prey. The battle was ended with no Fallenclan casualties, after only a few moons. Maplestar, already pretty old, was leader for a relatively short amount of time before losing all his lives at once to a flash flood. His deputy, Cherrydust, took the mantle of leadership and became Cherrystar.

A few moons into Cherrystar's leadership, Ravenkit and Littlekit were born to two former outsiders, Troutspeckle and Gyoza. It became immediately clear that Ravenkit was something special when he graduated early, at 10 moons old. Littlekit followed not long after him, and they became Ravenshade and Littleleaf.

Littleleaf was on a patrol with Fallenclan's deputy, Poppyfeather, when they were attacked by rogues. Littleleaf, a fantastic hunter but not much of a fighter, was badly injured in the attack, and ended up completely blind. Ravenstar, extremely protective of his brother (especially after the death of his father, Gyoza), blamed Poppyfeather. In his eyes, she didn't protect him as well as she could have. Ravenstar plotted for a few moons, and then, when the opportunity came, he caught Poppyfeather off guard and killed her.

One of Fallenclan's medicine cats, Feathersight, received a vision the same moon that Ravenshade graduated. The vision was rather unclear--broken raven feathers trailing from the sky. Nothing immediately came of it, so it was mostly brushed off, but the clan as a whole knew about it. Ravenshade, knowing that the position of deputy was now open, instructed his former apprentice, Flamefall, to remind Cherrystar of the vision, and insinuate that it meant he was destined to be deputy. His plan worked out, and so Ravenshade became deputy of Fallenclan.

With the small taste of power, Ravenshade began to crave more. When his mother, Troutspeckle, was bitten by a snake and killed, he decided he needed to do whatever he had to in order to protect his only remaining family, Littleleaf. He poisoned Cherrystar with nightshade berries, taking all of her remaining lives, and rose to the position of leader, taking on the name Ravenstar.

There's a lot of little bits in here that are important--Honeysong's ghost sight, Feathersight's suspicion, Darkpaw's dream, but this is where the line between what I've already drawn and what's spoilers gets a little wobbly, so I'll leave it at that :3 hope this was a decent explanation, and that I didn't leave anything too important out

And yes, Goldenstar's lineage is still going :3 his surviving descendants are Crowflame, Mothspots, Antbite, and Honeysong.

ok, so I think this is the first time I've posted a question as such and it's not just a comment but I'll try to be brief. I have to say that I loved the scenario in which they go to the world of Reader, it's very good and honestly I laughed a lot, but now changing the subject, considering that this is a ShadowPeach x reader universe, before the monkeys became warlords and met Reader, who was the one who became yandere first, Wukong or Macaque, because it would be interesting to have a little background on that. Another question is, if Reader can use her magic through artifacts, and suppose they change with her emotions, what if when she discovers that they are actually Wukong and Macaque, her desperation drags her to another world by accident (Perhaps as a method of survival for the adrenaline of the moment) and take him to another world with another Wukong, perhaps the canonical world of LMK, perhaps that of Black Myth Wukong, perhaps that of Monkey King Reborn, and Reader meets another version of Wukong or Macaque and genuinely becomes friends/falls in love with them and they are not Yandere, how do you think things would happen when the monkeys (inevitably) envelop Reader?

For Reader's ability. That is a really cool idea! A pure survival instinct truly. Now I don't think that she'll be meeting any other Wukong or Macaque in this au. (Maybe if I make another au and a crossover? But not in my main Cursed Warlords AU)

My reasoning is quite simple. Too much drama, okay thats kinda hypocritical I guess since there's probably gonna be quite a bit of drama.

Anyways, the pure survival instinct to get her out of the situation is really cool. In my mind, her dimensional travel ability stems from more of a teleportation type.

Because of this, I believe she would either teleport back to her own dimension or she might just teleport far away from them. Even if far away happens to be on Flower Fruit Mountain while they are away. Maybe haven't decided yet.

Anyways love that idea. Will probably use it at some point for the Reader (gonna make it happen at the worst possible moment too, probably. Hehe~)

Hehe~ I have a few ideas for this.

Surprisingly, I actually have Macaque go yandere for his husband before Wukong did.

Wukong is pretty oblivious to romantic emotions originally. He just knows he wants something so he takes it.

Basically a short Summery would be Macaque comes to Floqer Fruit Mountain as a traveler and meets Sun Wukong. The two fight each other because Macaque is an 'intruder'.

However, Wukong isn't going all out at, nor is Macaque. Wukong finds that he likes this new monkey demon, and eventually offers him a place in his troop.

Macaque decides to agree, at first to find out more about this other monkey. He doesn't know how he feels at first and is debating what exactly he wants to do.

As they get to know each other and begin to fall in love, but only Macaque seems to realize. Wukong is as dense as a rock (pun intended)

Macaque is already close with Wukong as his right hand man, he doesn't share his feelings. He can be rather shy at times, and believes that he'll have to fight Wukong to the death or unconsciousness like all of his other suitors.

But even though he believes that Wukong won't accept him, he won't let anyone else have him. If he can't have him, no one can. Will he harm his love? No, he'll just kill anyone who shows romantic interest in him.

Of course, he won't tell him, and the person will simply go missing without another word. Macaque is a great actor and no one will suspect him for a while... until...

Everything comes to a head when someone decides to challenge Wukong to a courting dual in public. Obviously, Wukong would have beaten her easily however Macaque who had finally decided to offer his love and picked out the courting gifts and had everything ready, would not have it.

Not only did he have everything ready, but the girl decided to challenge Wukong when Macaque had planned to. So~ yeah, the girl died... at Macaque's hands.

That is how the two got together, by Macaque slaying one of Wukong's suitors (he had quite a few before he became a warlord) and bending the knee to ask for his hand.

It is only then that Wukong actually thinks of his feelings for Macaque as love. Admitting it to himself as Macaque bends on his knee and promises to stay by his side for eternity.

At first Wukong is furious, his right hand doesn't think he can fight for himself- oh. Oh that's why he did it. This Boi was a blushing mess, because it's at this point that his own feelings hit him in the gut (or rather the point where he actually recognizes his own feelings.)

They soon become completely inseparable, more so than they already have been.

So even though Macaque is the first to go yandere, Wukong is NOT far behind him. Of course, there are some stupid enough to try and woo Macaque as well, only to be slain by Wukong's staff.

The suitors only diminish as Wukong and Macaque become Warlords. It becomes widely known who they are and who they are with. Even if some (very few) are stupid enough to try to get between them, they are quickly ended.

No one will come between them, and neither of them are interested in polygamy... at least not until... you.

I haven't actually decided on whether or not the other Addison's were good or bad guys. This would change their reaction to seeing Spamton.

I had this idea that Spamton's world is a lot like Seam and Jevil's. Its more cruel and wicked than the original Deltarune.. And Spamton might not have been particularly close with the other Addison's.. They had no time for bonds or relationships. It was a dog eat dog world, every man for himself.

Branching off of that, one idea I had was the other Addison's had become jealous of Spamton's success and tried to kill him by pushing him into the acid pools.. Only for Spamton to survive and reemerge as a horrific looking creature..

If I go with the evil Addison story.. some Addison's might run away in fear just because of how horrific Spamton looks. Though some might deliberately abandon him becuase they hated him/were jealous of him and felt like he deserves this.

If I go with a story where the other Addison's weren't responsible for the acid fall.. they might still run away in fear. Seeing this horrible beast.. not realizing its one of their own.

The top row of teeth all fused together and became one big cracked tooth. And the bottom row did the same. But the two rows are separate and he can still open his mouth.

To think that if while he was initially melting, he had kept his mouth closed? His teeth would have melted together and he wouldn't be able to eat anything easily.. if at all.

Buuuut,,, maybe from Bonnie bowl you could also get one of Bonnies signature bowling balls? A purple bowling ball with a rabbit ears print on it somewhere.

And for Pirates Cove perhaps a cheap pirate captains hat? I had this idea that there's 100s of these cheap captain hats that Foxy gives away to the kids every day. So maybe that could be a collectable too? :00

Yeah, me and some friends theorized about that. We thought "Maybe Vanessa or William is taking care of the animatronics and keeping them clean"

But even if they were, you cant help certain wears and tears. They would look noticeably worn, stained, torn in some places and a bit brittle in others after so many years of just existing.

They also missed out on a lot of scares by making them pristine. Bonnie's face could have had a crack/split down the side. "Oh yeah that's been there for a while, its fine" Only for it to fall of later in the movie revealing these piercing red eyes and a Childs head lodged in Bonnie's face/jaw.

Or Chica could have her beak come off or dangle down and reveal colorful wires hanging down.. and.. is that a childs arm.?

The basic idea for my Kirby AU is that I took the other metaknight's and added them to the Kirby Right back at Ya universe :00 I cant remember what info I shared before because this ask was sent so long ago.. but I'll just recap Axe Knights story because it has the most detail!

Axe Knight was Metaknight's first follower, and best friend. He was with Metaknight from the very beginning. They became star warriors together when they were both a bit young. Axe Knight truly believed in Metaknight. He saw greatness in his friend, he saw a true hero. And he truly believed Metaknight was going to end this war and save the world. Its because of this adoration and belief, that Axe Knight devoted himself to Metaknight and proclaimed himself to be his first follower.

It was not too long after when tragedy struck. A battle broke out and Axe knight sacrificed himself to protect Metaknight. As he lay on the ground, dying from his sacrifice.. he saw Metaknight too laying on the ground nearby. Unmoving, and in a pool of his own blood. Axe knight died with his heart twisted in grief. Thinking that his sacrifice had failed. And that his best friend had died.

Metaknight of course survived, and Axe Knights sacrifice was the only thing that saved him. But Axe Knight didn't know that before he died. Metaknight buried his best friend and left that planet in grief. Forever changed by this loss..

But Axe Knight.. wasn't totally gone. Axe died grieving, thinking that this world lost a great warrior; Metaknight. Thinking that it was so cruel Metaknight didn't get to live longer. To travel the universe and save lives. They were robbed of a hero. Because of Axe Knights failure. His soul was so disturbed that it couldn't move on. He later crawled out of his grave, with a fiery determination to make things right. To go out there and save as many lives as possible. To protect anyone he can and to help all who need him. Because that's what Metaknight would have done.

Eventually after years of blindly wandering the universe.. battling monsters and saving innocents.. he crosses paths with dreamland. He finds himself in a little town full of Cappys.. And then he runs in to a familiar face...

I was going to draw a comic of Jangles making a vlog style video. "Hey guys, welcome to pranking with Jangles. Today I'm gonna prank Bibi by throwing this cheese slice at his face!"

Jangles throws the cheese slice and it completely misses and just splats on the ground. "Oh oops"

Okay im now thinking because of @daybringersol’s post about how we need more jrwi aus based on different cultures. And. I am here. To tell everyone about this fun little finnish nursery rhyme “päivänsäde ja menninkäinen” or roughly translated “the sunbeam and the troll” (menninkäinen doesnt really have a perfectly fitting english translation it could be anything from elf to gnome to goblin to troll but whatever)

Now as a nursery rhyme, its a pretty short story. Its about a LITERAL ray of sunshine, as in like a ray of sun’s light but like fairy creature or something, who one day accidentally gets left behind in a forest as the sun starts to set while its sisters all fly away. And the sunbeam is just about to fly away as well, when it sees a troll.

The troll only comes out during the night, since it cant handle / survive during the day. It lives in a cave and thats where it spends its days. But the sunbeam and the troll notice each other, and immediately fall in love at first sight.

And because its love at first sight, and the troll has never seen anything as beautiful as the sunbeam, it asks the sunbeam to become its beloved, saying that it doesnt care if its light is bright enough to make the troll go blind, and that if the sunbeam comes with it, they can live in its cave together and be happy together.

But the sunbeam tells the troll that thats not possible, because the sunbeam will die in the darkness. It tells it that it has to fly away now, or it won’t live for much longer. And so the sunbeam has to fly away, leaving the troll behind, and to this day when the troll walks through the forest during the night, it wonders why they must be so different and unable to be together, one a literal child of light, and one a creature of the night.

Like i said, its a pretty simple story. Its for kids. But it has such heavy themes of mutual, requited, wanted love, that is nonetheless left unfulfilled because of reasons that neither party can control. CAN YOU SEE THE ANGST POTENTIAL???

And now im sure you could pretty easily make an au of like. Any of the campaigns to this. But because i am who i am: Kian and Rand. Just imagine Kian as a literal being of light, forever out of Rand’s reach, bright enough to make him go blind yet beautiful enough that he doesn’t care. Honestly, if we don’t want to follow the original song to a T, we could also probably agree that its not exactly out of character to imagine Kian staying with Rand despite knowing that he won’t survive the darkness, just so he can be with the person he loves for a while longer.

pete mostly writes lyrics on paper and on the notes app. sometimes if he's driving he'll have whoever's the passenger write it down for him. he doesn't do voice notes because he doesn't "think in those terms".

So I had to think about it a bit and uh…yeah I think because it reversed time the original deaths didn’t count. The trio don’t really mess with time other than prolonging how long everyone lives. They have no idea it even happened.

Nergal though did experience some heavy deja vu as he caused Giggles to fall off the ledge and then threw a whole ass meteor at Toothys face that second time. —Side note, this meteor was probably the size of the chelyabinsk meteor (19 meters in diameter) rather than the Chixulub meteor that Nergal wiped out the dinosaurs with (approximately 15000 meters in diameter); the one he threw at toothy was just enough to destroy toothy and the surrounding forest and cause havoc in the town, but not world ending—

Bad luck was already in motion before Splendid got there and made it worse.

Thats why Splendid is considered one of the Isles “catalyst” residents. He’s just another bit of bad luck in motion. And Nergal takes advantage of that when it happens. It’s like Nergal sets up the dominoes and the catalyst comes in to knock ‘em over. Flippy is also often used as a catalyst resident and Lumpy’s amazing mental prowess causes him to end up being one from time to time too. Predominantly full time catalysts are fairly rare on the Isles though. Splendid ignoring the cries for help that second time around didn’t save anyone, it just took away his own involvement in their deaths is all.

Also speaking of time travel, Sniffles totally went all the way back to the DinoSore days when the curse was starting. Probably not too long before the meteor hit and set the curse of the Isles in full swing.

Right image I’d say it’s either a type of ichthyornithiformes, toothed flying birds that lived alongside their non avian dinosaur family members, or a Nemicolopterus, a small pterosaur from the Cretaceous. It died out technically before the end of the Cretaceous but I’m just working with what they give me here. To the right…..look….i have to remember that the people who worked on htf were not trying to be accurate and were just throwing around prehistoric looking animals willy nilly, but that thing looks like a drepanosaurus which was a bizarre little reptile from the Triassic period. I’m just gonna take some artistic liberties and say it’s a surviving member of that lineage that may or may not have existed during the Cretaceous and move on.

And also this guy totally lived in the trios old village and he ends up living in the First Civilization after the meteor impact I’ve decided. He may look like an anteater but he’s actually a gypsonictops. And yep, ants also existed at the time and they probably were eaten by mammals like gypsonictops. Im using Linguamyrmex vladi, the “hell ants”, just as an example cus they are cool.

I know my blog its a huge mess, when i started it i really didnt know what was i doing.〒▽〒 I wanted to create my own Onceler au, i struggled with finding a original one, i chosed Fish-ler because its sounded good/funny(?). I have a lot of lore in mind but the principal problem its that i am SOO lazy to draw everything... I really want to finish it because i think it has potential, ill try my best.

I will explain to you what has happened so far,

basically, there is Greed-ler and Once-ler (ik they are the same person but the fandom separates them, yk) Greed was in a vacation trip on his boat, but the boat sank down, he falled in the sea until he reached an island, where he met Oncie, who ended there because on an family trip Chett and Brett pushed him into the sea and ended inn the island, they tried to survive together and one day Oncie founded some magic shell necklaces who turned them into fishes, (Greedler turns into a shark and Oncie into a clownfish) and thats it for now, i promise it will get better i have a lot of ideas 😭😭😭 and for Universe-ler, (from the comic "The Origins") he is like a sort of god who made that Greed-ler end in the island. Oh, and they are in love.

What was it about Will and Nico that drew you to them, individually and/or as a ship?

nico has always been my favorite character!!! well technically that's not true it was annabeth until battle of the labyrinth (and i still love her very very much) -- i read the original series as each book was coming out so when titans curse came out in 2007 i honestly thought nico was so annoying LMAO and i thought bianca was going to be the new addition to the cast. so when she died i was totally shocked and i didnt know how to feel about nico until battle of the labyrinth came out. and then he had that dark and edgy character arc, and my dark and edgy emo 14 year old self was like "ok this kid rules actually" and hes been my fave ever since. how long has it been. (checks watch) ive been stanning nico di angelo for 15 years.

i have always loved nico because i've always related to him -- i have a lot of the same problems that nico has (catholic repression, internalized homophobia, trauma, mental illnesses, feeling like you dont belong, i could go on) and seeing him fight so hard to survive just for the chance to see the day when things might get better...it was really inspiring to me. it sounds corny but this character helped me get through some really difficult times in my life. the way that nico strove so hard to survive in heroes of olympus when he basically had nothing he wanted to live for really gave me strength to keep going too.

And thats part of why solangelo immediately appealed to me! Nico di Angelo finally finding love and laughing and allowing himself to be close to someone after i watched him endure ceaseless torment since 2007 was so gratifying. ever since their initial interaction in blood of olympus i have felt like will was so right for nico -- he was never afraid of him, he treated him the same as everyone else, he went out of his way to make nico feel wanted and refused to let nico fall back on his old self-destructive habits. and i thought it was really fitting that nico's love interest would be someone new, someone unentangled with nico's twisted past, someone he could look to the future with and heal with.

so i started liking will because he was nico's love interest, but once trials of apollo came out I got really invested in will as his own character too, and this feeling has only strengthened with the sun and the star's release. I have actually been waiting for an Apollo demigod to be a main character since I was like 12, because I've always identified with Apollo (I've had a lifelong special interest in Greek mythology lol). And Will was exactly who I was waiting for -- i love how gentle he is, i love that he's a healer, i love his relationship with Apollo, I love how much of a dork loser he is, i love how much he cares for people, and i love his dynamic with nico so much. i ended up writing my fic Solace because I couldnt stop thinking about how will was there in the background the entire time, he lost his siblings, he pined for nico, he was forced into leadership roles when he wasn't ready. and after reading tsats i LOVE how much he is filled with self-doubt and anxiety and how he loves nico so much and wants to support him and make him feel safe and loved in the ways that nico needs. he is so so so fucking good and i adore him and he is truly unlike any other character in this series.

i love nico, i love will, i love solangelo, i love how they contrast each other and yet are the same in so many ways, i love how they overcome realistic relationship obstacles to be together because after all theyve both been through they deserve to feel secure and at peace with someone they love, who they know loves them back.

I've been re-reading your notes on your Adoption AU and there's so many neat points.

The way each turaga bonds with and helps the kids, as well as the specifics. Like Nokama helping Gali find a way to vent her anger safely, and encouraging her to be angry in the first place. Or Vakama nonchalance to Tahu's declaration that he'll run off to find his siblings. "Sure, just let me kit you out first so that you can survive."

The body horror related to the Toa Mata's origins in this AU.

How you've adapted the Toa Metru's hordika transformations just gives me so many feelings. It's horrifying, and heartwarming in the ending. They only want to care about their kids and won't hurt them.

Velika is delightfully scary, as is Artakha.

The twist in the ending, how the Toa Mata unravel everything and didn't even intend it that way. Also the irony that Velika's plan likely would have failed like this ultimately even if everything else went according to her plans.

ACTually i do have. a few more stuff i forgot to mention like KOPAKA ISNT COMATOSE FOR LIKE THE WHOLE SECOND HALF OF THE PLOT, when his sibs touch him he starts getting better and gets out of the hospital and stuff, he just has to, you know. get back in his body properly. because he was Snow for a hot second there

or when Tahu becomes fire Vakama throws himself in a blazing inferno and pulls him back out essentially through the beads Tahu made for him... or Nokama and Whenua throwing themselves into the ground/sea wading through it until they pull their kids out... or Matau holding onto Lewa's hand in the middle of a tornado...

OR. speaking of the hordika. i have two specific scenes that are so clear in my Mind

first one is shortly after Velika activated the trigger for the transformation and the Turaga scattered to keep the kids safe from them somehow, and Whenua manages to get Onua in a ventilation shaft. Onua ofc thinks his dad is coming along and starts panicking when Whenua fucking shuts it behind him (also bc hes scared of heights so yknow) and tries to reach for him through the grates but Whenua starts giving instructions on how to avoid HIM - he cant climb anywhere so the kids need to stay off the ground, he cant crane his neck but hes got good hearing, stay away from his back elgs bc theyre very strong and dangerous, etc. He tells Onua he's a smart boy and to keep his siblings safe and then he just keeps repeating that he loves him so so so so much as he goes through this horrendous change more and more violently until hes full on just a monstrous animal screaming and scraping at the wall trying to get to his son and Onua has to scuttle away in tears

and second one is later on, while the Turaga are in full pursuit. Pohatu is running away but hes distracted, so he falls down some stairs and gets hurt super badly - nothing broken but it hurts so much he straight up cant stand up or move for a little. and Onewa finds him (hes a big predator with so many Sharp Fucking Teeth) and approaches him quickly and Pohatu is bawling his eyes out bc his dad is going to MAUL HIM and then theres this huge tongue licking his face while Onewa whines inconsolably. hes like RED ALERT BABY HURT CLEAN BABY IMMEDIATELY and hes nudging him with his nose and whimpering trying to understand how to help him and hes laying down next to him with his big scary body curled up around him just Licking Him. Pohatu snaps out of shock like dad thats gross! thats gross!! thats gross... and he starts crying HARDER bc his dad loves him SO much even tho hes a big fuck off scary ass beast and hes been lookin out for him this whole time still... and then Onewa pulls him up by the scruff of his shirt and puts him on his back and they go around like that. and Velika is looking at that and going "HM. some thoughts on character in tristamp and trimax

now i still havent yet watched trigun98 or read trimax past like the first 2 chapters yet, but from what i understand, the characteristics of nai and vash are different to tristamp. i LOVE tristamp and i love vash. i love kind and soft characters. characters who are just kind, who refuse to fall into apathy. who prove that kindness is a strength not many are able to carry. and i love nai too (aside from him being a creep those last few eps) someone who, feels responsible and has a need to keep his head at all times. to be the realistic one. someone who saw an injustice and firmly decided he would end it no matter the cost (not that i agree with his genocidal plan that also hurt plants that he was supposed to be protecting)

what i have found out is that in the original trigun, nai was actually the soft and kind one until Tesla, and vash became the kind one afterwards in a way to i guess be more like the old nai? and this is more realistic and hurts more to see. (hurts in a delicious way) like you have a kind character who gets brutally exposed to the horrors humanity is capable of. who (im guessing) for survival and a sense of justice is forced to grow up too fast and choose to do something (here he is like the tristamp nai) and its always painful to see the soft character turn angry and resentful. 

vash tho, who saw what happened to nai, who also went thru the brutal exposure to human cruelty, went the other way. now since i havent read trimax yet, i cant tell what turned him to be vash the stampede. was it guilt the way it was in tristamp? or was it to keep a part of nai alive despite nai killing that part of himself? was tristamp rem’s dream trimax nai’s dream and vash is working to make it a reality? ill know in the next few days as i read. but what my point here is that in trimax vash CHOOSES to be kind. he has anger in him, he’s not as soft as tristamp, and he its “naturally” kind. he actively chooses to be kind over and over again. i think thats a lot more realistic to us. most of us arent naturally kind and we always have our breaking points. tristamp vash didnt really have that but trimax vash is so painfully human in the sense that he feels so much anger but keeps it locked. he chooses to be the kindness he wants to see in the world. 

i guess you can say both trimax and tristamp vash are kind of insane in their way of firmly staying kind. tristamp vash for being naive and childlike almost in his way of being too nice, and trimax for deciding to stick to being nice and lock a part of himself away. 

anyways im just rambling. i just wanted to get some observations down before i read trimax and see how much of this ends up being wrong. this is so long lol highly doubt ppl will read but if u did, pls share ur thoughts i need more ppl to talk to about this series. its taking over my brain and this fandom has such high literary and media literacy, some beautiful analysis, and straight up poets and writers and artists that put shakespeare and whatever artist to shame lol

UglyDolls Movie Analysis.

So, I wasn’t interested in UglyDolls when it first came out. I’d never heard of the toy line it’s based on and it looked like just another “beauty is on the inside” message cranked out by hypocritical Hollywood. But recently, I’ve finally got around to watching it and it’s not just about looks.

It’s about disability.

The movie takes place in an automated, possibly magical toy factory where different types of dolls are put together; pink rag dolls, grey teddy bears, red birds, and featureless humanoid fashion dolls known as “pretties”. Every toy is scanned and any one that has imperfections gets tossed down a shoot and sent to “Uglyville”. This is just like how disabled children are abandoned or killed by their parents when they’re born.

Uglyville is essentially a paradise with endless celebrations and all the junk food you can eat. The leader Ox (voice by Blake Shelton) tells everyone that the “Big World” of humans isn’t real, and everyone has pretty much lost interest in leaving. All except Moxie (voiced by Kelly Clarkson) a short and stumpy ragdoll who wants a human so badly, she runs away through the shoot, with her friends tagging along. Her friends include a grey blobby guy and a red bat. They end up with the pretties in the Institute of Perfection where the dolls are trained in surviving the Big World before going through a portal that sends them to their ideal child. This place is run by exposition bots and a scanner gate that assigns the dolls their appearance, name, and even careers. (Everyone is something slash model).

There, the Uglies meet Lou, (voiced by Nick Jonas) the most perfect doll and leader of the institute who tells everyone, through song, that being ugly is bad and that kids don’t want ugly toys. (Shows what he knows) They also meet Mandy, (voiced by Janelle Monae) the one doll who's nice to them and who hides the fact that she needs glasses. Tangent: I don’t know if it’s my place to say this since I’m white. It is so nice to see a black woman get portrayed as feminine and friendly and have her own character arc outside of helping the main character.

Anyway, Moxie and her friends stay, and Lou allows it, just to make himself look more benevolent. The dolls are trained to avoid getting messy or damaged (reasonable hazards for toys) and prepare for a real-world simulation called The Gauntlet. As hard as the Ugly dolls work, Lou keeps sabotaging them. He also sends a trio of girls to spy on Uglyville and kidnap Ox.

It turns out, Ox used to live in Perfection after landing there by accident. But he failed the program, learned that toys like them, rejects, are originally meant to end up in the recycling bin where they’re burned in the incinerator. Ox kept the ugly dolls sheltered in a place they’d never want to leave because he was afraid of them facing rejection. Thats also something lots of parents of disabled kids do. This news floors Moxie. She and the others never knew there was anything wrong with them. Not until it’s cruelty pointed out. As Lou tells her, “they were never meant to exist”. Eugenics much?

The uglies return to their home and break the news to the others. Everyone falls into despair; it’s one thing to never find your soulmate, it’s another to be told that nobody wants you. But then Mandy arrives, telling Moxie that she should run the gauntlet anyway because thanks to Moxie’s sweet affirmation, she feels encouraged to wear her glasses with pride. And they share a beautiful duet about how there will always be people who give who flack for being yourself, but you should be yourself anyway. There’s only so much you can do with the body you’re born with. And I love the trend of animated films saying that perfection is overrated. Encanto, Turning Red, the latest Trolls movie all have this message. And it’s good. Progress and self-betterment are great, but not when they come at a personal cost of conforming to someone else’s unreasonable standards. Moxies’ hope is restored. Just in time for Lou to have them both kidnapped and thrown in the incinerator. The other uglies save them, and they enter the gauntlet. Lou enters as well just to make sure they lose.

They have to go through life-size human house and dodge obstacles. At this point, I’m wondering who exactly is in charge of this toy factory and how they can afford all this crazy machinery.

While the pretty dolls focus on staying clean and looking out for themselves, the Uglies focus on having fun and being loving. They go back and help those who’ve fallen behind, they befriend the mechanical dog and mechanical baby they encounter. They choose to lose together rather than win alone. This ends up helping them pass in while Lou, who actually made it through the house, ends up failing.

While the audience isn't surprised by this, everyone else is. Perfect Lou failed at something. This triggers a breakdown in which Lou reveals that he isn't a real doll, he's a prototype. He can't leave the factory or be purchased by a child. Big kudus to whomever came up with this plot twist because this explains so much about Lous' character. Of course he's insensitive towards others. Of course he can't handle being played with. Whatever love-and-be-loved instinct the other dolls got, he didn't get it. But he still wants to go to the Big World. And that led him to resent the others, especially the Uglies, who can go through the portal despite their imperfections. In a way, Lou himself is disabled. But he could never admit it. And that's what leads to his downfall. He destroys the portal to the Big World and gets thrown in the very washer that he kept sending the Ugly Dolls to. A lot of fans are disappointed that he doesn't get redeemed in the end, I totally get that. But to be redeemed, you have to want to be redeemed. Lou just wanted everyone to forgive him immediately. Plus, he's still alive in the end, so his arc has an open ending.

The dolls work together to repair the portal, and set up a new system in which their communities live together and go back and forth through the portal so they can hang out whenever their humans are asleep.

And at the very last scene, Moxie meets her kid, a little girl with bad teeth like hers. Believe it or not, kids want disabled toys. There are Barbies with blindness and albinism, there are baby dolls with Downs Syndrome, there's and old man who crochets dolls with vitiligo patches. A girl in an online video painted a facial birthmark on her doll to match her moms' facial birthmark. I myself keep toys with missing limbs and chewed-up faces. Representation matters. And it's good that companies are finally acknowledging that. Even when they sometimes do a bad job at it.

It should also be noted that while the Pretties supposedly have it better, the Uglies live better, with a community that values joy and friendship and individuality. That really drives home the message that differences should be accepted and celebrated, not ignored of erased. (Just like that other animated musical starring Kelly Clarkson…)

One last thing, while the movie is officially the property of Universal, it was financed and worked on by two Chinese company. A movie about dolls, made in China. Brilliant.

hey guys i come with another ramble about crafting dead and the way it works in my headdd

so

theres no real backstory to cd scar, he just woke up one day and it was the way it was with zombies running around and cities being overgrown and abandoned. he knows what humans are he knows all of that shit just has like? no real memory? he just kinda appeared! i like to still include the whole server thing like he canonically talks abot scarland quite a lot, so lets say bc its a hardcore thing its a server he cannot get out of until he dies, and dying hurts and injuries stay.

the only way i imagine any other hermit being there is really just through rift shenanigans..? i dont really see any other hermit in there except scar

i like the idea of jellie being there! makes him feel more sane less insane! although in my head she is more optional to the scenario but greatly appreciated

hes deffo like :DDDDD about all the things but hes also pretty pathetic at time like hes scar hes clumsy falling over, not paying attention and a zombie comes up on him he panics runs and shit!!! he does have quite a bit of medical knowledge due to all that! his scars come from all those injuries sustained in this world, for example the scar on his face! (the eyebrow scar was a thing from his survival world hes silly like that)

also in my head this is all like pre hermitcraft in my head he doesnt know hermits yet, hes got nurfin to do with them, its like his origin story side quest, origin story to his scars or something

but i do also love the idea of all of this just being its separate universe, but i still imagine it only being him and him just waking up one day to the whole apocalypse shit, he probably knows hermits then, possibly looking for them? (i need the 'thats how he gets the scars' idea to stay cause it drives me crazy btw) hes still a bit :DD but in a more insanely trying to stay positive way maybe? i dont think he ever finds anyone alive tho! if there is anyone still alive they probably find his dead body before he find them

in the first scenario so like server verse thing he just goes home and if we include the rift shenanigans, hes probably like "oh yeah ive neen thinking of letting them just get me and going home yknow" and whoever is stuck with him is just like "OH THIS GUY IS SUICIDAL" but no he just is going home like literally

in the second scenario of the actual other universe i feel like he would probably do the thung where he gathers as many zombies as he can and blows himself the fuck up, like slashes at them gets bitten and injured a shit ton and then boom blegh poof all dead, like his goal would be to take out as many as possible just in case some is in fact alive
