There’s also one about getting bit on the thigh and bleeding out and… yeah. That’s for the darker humour crowd.

Eels are not actually all that aggressive, they’re actually quite big scaredy cats. The Moray Eel is just a bit of a grumpy big guy (like anyone else we know?). He doesn’t like being cornered and divers usually accidentally annoy them on the reef, and back them into a corner.

(Please be nice to our friends in the water guys. Please give them lots of space, and you too can avoid getting your knee bitten)

They’re also mostly catadromous - meaning they leave the oceans and go and live in fresh water for most of their adult lives, then come home to the sea to have their babies. It’s pretty sweet really when you think of it like that.

Oh, and thatsecond part - sure! We’ve had a couple of bigger rescues in the North Sea nearby.

Pretty sure it was Rotterdam we had a sunken cargo ship blocked in the port with the crew still on board too. Had a rescue capsule from out of orbit get stuck in the shifting sands up north too, I think that was near Leuchtturm. I’m sure Scott and Virgil will have others (and John the ever knowing font of IR knowledge). Not sure I’d want to try and take TB4 through those canals!
