#the AU where asriel just says this to chara and the plot of undertale never happens and the dreemurrs are fine
My Thoughts About If Kris Was In Glitchtale
first I want to say in the last post, where it has a drawing I did that I hope to use as a cover for a story idea at the place that has the name starts with a “Q”...
I notice just now I had mistakenly put down “Agate look at the face of her Mother, Queen Emeralda Lightvale...” which is like a idea to put in a Fan Fic of Glitchtale, but that is all I got so far as a idea.
I edited out, but I left the whole idea about if Agate, Copper and Amber’s Mom had a name, it would be Emeralda...
anyway even if that were so, that would possibly noncanon to the Main Timeline of Glitchtale.
but anyway here are my thoughts about Kris if they ended up being in Glitchtale.
if each Deltarune Timeline and AU is part of Deltarune, then Deltafell, Deltaswap and Alterrune, would be Sister World Counterparts of Undertale, Underfell, Underswap and Altertale.
you know like how Universe 6 & 7 from Dragon Ball Series, are Sister Universes.
anyway Kris could be from a Alternate World and Timeline, that is in a Sister Universe of Glitchtale.
in the Sister Universe, Agate didn’t create Betty, but that doesn’t mean she still didn’t cause misery and despair in that world.
if Kris was never born in the Glitchtale World, they might of been born in it’s Sister Universe, and while Chara and Frisk were born as boys in Glitchtale, Kris ends up being born as a girl.
I think that like in Deltarune, Kris would be a few years younger than Asriel and if Kris did travel through time and space and ended up in Glitchtale, she would be smaller than both Asriel and Chara, having to look up at them.
Kris could act cold and distant, and not talk very much, but deep down they are loving and caring, but doesn’t like to show their true feelings.
Kris could of went through different foster homes in her world, where she felt happy and loved for a while until each foster family just took her back.
it could be because they never believe her that the one was making trouble was her imaginary friend.
her imaginary friend, could turn out to be a Ghost Of The Lightvale Family, and they only stick to those who are of the Lightvale Bloodline.
Kris’s full name could be Krystal Lightvale, but she doesn’t know that she is a Princess or is the last of the Lightvale in her home timeline.
and she could be a descendant of one of the Lightvale Siblings, and if I think about it, if Amber didn’t lose her life and she grown up and might became chosen to become Queen, then maybe she could end up becoming the Ancestress of Kris.
Kris could be a double trait like her, one half of their soul is red and the other half is turquoise-blue, what the trait the turquoise-blue half of the soul could be unknown....
Kris could be named after a Princess who was named Princess Crystal Lightvale...(the name being spelled with a “C” instead of a “K”)
who was to wed a human of the human kingdom, but ran away and took a monster for her love instead, and that could be linked to the play that Mettaton puts on that has to do with a human and monster and their forbidden love.
and the one Princess Crystal Lightvale fell in love with, could of been the original heir of the Dreemurr Royal Family.
which would be the older sibling of Asgore’s Ancestor.
and the plot twist would be, the original heir was to be the Queen Of Monsters, meaning that Princess Crystal Lightvale, fell in love with another woman.
but instead of becoming dead at some point in their lives together, because of how long ago they lived, the two ended up falling into the void and lost in time and space and forgotten, and when they find their way out, the world had gone on without them, and it could turn out they went with Kris to the Other World.
but the two do not know that Kris is Crystal’s Niece, or that she was named after her but with a “K” instead of a “C”...
if any human tried to attack Crystal, I think her Goat Boss Monster wife, would protect her and tell the human to stay away from her wife.
if Crystal’s wife had a name, it could be Hildegore Dreemurr (like a mix of Hildegarde & Asgore.)
when the three do find out they are family, Kris could refer to both Crystal and Hildegore as “Auntie” like Auntie Crystal and Auntie Hildegore.
Crystal’s hair could be white and her eyes could be like a really pale purple or like lavender, and it could turn out that she is a Triple Trait, meaning that her soul has three traits, instead of just two like Amber and Kris has.
and in theory since magic and science has come so far, Crystal and Hildegore could have children together, by like taking two fragment part of their souls and then placing them in a human egg and then Hildegore placing some of her genetic essence magic on to the egg as well as merging it with her orb-egg, and Crystal becoming the one who carries their soon to be son or daughter for 9 months.
makes me think of the Anime called Vandread, where men and women started to live separately and forgot they use to live together and are the same species.
 but anyway a orb-egg could be a Monster’s counterpart of a human’s egg, but it is in like a sparkle of light form, and Crystal and Hildegore could have their two different eggs spliced together and merged into one.
Hildegore could be a fighter, while Crystal isn’t much a fighter at all, but can create shields to defend.
I would like to point out that the whole Crystal, Hildegore and even a Emeralda, are just “what if” type ideas, like if they did exist, and well if they did end up in some fan fic, then well it might be really short story, cause don’t know if it would be very long.
but anyway if Kris did end up being in Glitchtale, they would be a little girl who would be smaller than Asriel and Chara, because she would be younger than them.
I think that even if Kris came from another universe and timeline, Asgore and Toriel could of known from the moment they saw her, that she was their daughter.
you know like Rose from the Silent Hill Movie, when she saw Sharon, she knew that she was going to be her mother.
that movie isn’t for little kids of course, and it is for a mature audience only.
Asgore from Deltarune, really does seem to love Kris, because of the big papa bear hug he gives them.
if Kris did exist in Glitchtale, or had lives in a Sister Universe of it...
and if she went to Glitchtale, and ended up being taken in by Asgore and Toriel, that would mean that Asriel and Chara get a Baby Sister. XD
and like Kris from Deltarune, Kris could of started to wear a horn headband and be really happy about it, even if they don’t show it, but both Chara and Asriel could tell that she is happy by looking at her eyes sparkle....even if they are hidden under her bangs.
anyway I don’t think I have much else to say about the theory about Kris if they ended up in Glitchtale, this is more of a what if type theory, not like it would actually happen, but if Kris did end up in that AU, I think they could end up becoming the baby sister of Asriel and Chara.
I think in the next post after this, I will talk about the whole Michael Afton/Summertrap....anyway thanks to reading this, and once again this is more of a what if type theories, and it doesn’t mean it would happen in the canon of the AU.

The other game! explanation (an undertale au)
If you want to skip the back story I’ve marked we’re you can start reading for What the world is.(it’s in red)
I feel like I’ve never called it and undertale au but that’s what it is. Okay so the other game is a world that me and my sister have been working on for years (when i say years i mean it started august of 2019)
My sister and I were very cringy and started an undertale role playing game. I was Chara and Sans and she was asriel and frisk. We basically just played there day to day lives on the service and we had a lot of fun with it.
This was 2018 and i didnt know how to draw boys at the time (did other people have that struggle?) So when I had the thought of making an au where they are all humans I decided to make them girls instead.
Eventually I changed it so the errors, nightmares, and epic were all boys and dream, cross, and ink stayed girls. I proposed playing this game with my sister too and we did.
I picked those six because there (in my opinion and observation) the most popular (epic I just really like.)
She generally only plays as a dream and occasionally epic.
I'm the rest.
We didn't have a name for it so we just called it “the other game” we had the undertale game (or utg for short.) so we just referred to it as the other game we did have the intention to name it eventually but we never did so “the other game” just stuck.
(it's also called t.o.g for short.)
——read from here if you skipped
Their characters grew with us, it was so fun to play with character designs as an artist and backstories, turning the things that the original characters have and “humanifing” them was really fun, like for instance dreams constant urge to have to be perfect. What do you think that would do to a human teenage girl who lives in a regular human society?
We ended up changing a lot about them as we went on, epic’s gender changed and they over all grew as people with me.
Nightmare has always been a bit of a favorite of mine so naturally I connected with him, but all the characters have struggles.
We dug into their mental health a lot as well. Giving explanations for things that only their monster counterparts should have like errors glitches we ended up just using tourettes as “glitching out” we got into how their brains would work in these different circumstances.
Dream and Nightmare’s relationship is stable and seeing how that ended up affecting their characters. Making error and nightmare warm up to the group was one of my favourite character developments to play with.
To sum up the world there human versions of those six who’s genders vary. They're just this cute friend group.
I’ve worked so hard on this world that I thought why keep it to myself anymore share it.
I also want to mention that there are ships if you don’t agree with them I’m completely fine with that. But the world really doesn’t rely on the ships for plot. (I did pick these ships when I was nine and can’t bring myself to change them so give me a break.)
error and ink- I feel like the fandom kinda agrees on this one even if they don’t ship it
Dream and epic- I may have to explain this bc I’ve never seen this ship once in my life but I thought it was cute, like dreams friends with cross so that’s how they met idk I’ll explain that more in detail if someone wants me to.
Cross and nightmare- okay so I know this one’s a hit or miss with people but nightmare is a lot more like passive or even dreamswap so it works better ig
again I was nine when I picked this and I think it’s too late to change it we have to much plot around them
Another note is they are the only “ship” that doesn’t even happen really they end up never dating they had like a situationship (even though I hate that term) and it just never happened. Nightmare has a boyfriend who I made for the game and cross is happily single I can explain that more too if anyone wants me to.
That was a lot but I hope I find at least one other person who I can rant about this to bc I think my irl friends are sick of me talking about it.
Have a lovely day thank you for reading feel free to use the asks if your interested or dm me! :)

Undertale Fans to Throw Money At
Tumblr media
If you're an Undertale fan with money burning a hole in your pocket, look no further, for these are nine people you can throw money at.
CleverCatchphrase (Ghost Switch)
Patreon
Tumblr media
Description:
Everybody can be a good person if they try...but what if they weren't allowed to try? What if that good decision wasn't even theirs? Can people still be good if they never even had a choice?
Review:
At only 49 pages in, the comic is presently establishing world-building and plot points that will take effect later. Though it broadly follows the in-game course of events, the fact the talking flower isn’t who you’d expect gives the character a lot more characterization early on. This flower doesn’t disappear after getting attacked by Toriel, instead following and conversing with Frisk as they go through the Ruins. Yet, soon after Frisk fell in, they were killed instantly with a seed-shaped bullet, so one wonders what the flower’s true motivations are.
Bunnikkila (Underrift)
Ko-fi
Tumblr media
Description: The monsters are free. The resets are over. But is the damage to the timeline erased? Stalled? Or still deteriorating?
Review: Underrift's plot is intriguing and filled with mystery. It has bright, full-color pages, and a line-less stylistic shift for scenes in the non-place of the void. It also features a Sans backstory, linking him (through multiple possibilities) to the mysterious W.D. Gaster, the former royal scientist scattered through time and space.
Spookmoose (ZombieTale)
Patreon       Ko-fi
Tumblr media
Description:
Frisk should not have survived that fall. ZombieTale is a slow-burning work about a zombie Frisk bringing a zombie apocalypse to the Underground, with all the horror and despair that entails.
Review:
Artistically, this isn’t what you’d expect when hearing “zombie apocalypse story that also takes place in an underground world of monsters.” Yet, the art works very well; it's like a blend of Disney's Frozen (with its indigo/purple/pink-dominant palette) and the 1500s-woodcut-esque art from The Last Apprentice, an old-timey horror book series. Through its texture, palette, and lighting choices, the style conveys isolation and paranoia. Even at its brightest and most colorful there’s a feeling something is not quite safe, not quite right.
Though Frisk is a pandemic-spreading zombie, they’re remarkably sympathetic. While distanced and unaffectionate, one can tell they’re just very hungry and in great pain. As they eat (and infect) more and more monsters, they become slightly less mindless, and able to feel regret for their actions, but are still unable to stop themselves in their pain and hunger.
C-Puff (Time Scar)
Patreon       Ko-fi
Tumblr media
Description:
One day Sans wakes up with a huge scar on his body, one that definitely wasn't there yesterday. And now Sans must keep an eye(socket) on not one, but two humans. What do they want? Keeping that promise to Toriel is going to be harder than he thought...
Review:
Time Scar, a largely black-and-white comic, has crisp lineart and often detailed backgrounds. The trees of Snowdin are especially remarkable in their detail and abundance, and furniture, houses and other boxy objects are perfectly rendered. One can guess at where Sans’ mysterious scar came from; nonetheless readers will be intrigued and want to know exactly what caused it. Adding on to this mystery is why there are two humans: one innocent, another sinister.
Undertalethingems (Unexpected Guests)
Patreon       Ko-fi
Tumblr media
Description:
Papyrus messes up his special attack, and shenanigans ensue. But there’s always more to the story, and skeletal dragons are just the beginning.
Review:
The artist is quite skilled at drawing skeletons; Sans’ and Papyrus’ special attacks (which manifested as draconic skeletons) showcase this well. Though largely monochrome, The artist is also remarkably good at drawing Toriel: her look is a perfect blend of an old lady, a mother and a goatlike monster. Asgore is similarly well-drawn, which is especially notable since so many fans find him difficult to draw.
WolvenOne (Long Road)
Ko-fi
Tumblr media
(From an associated mini-comic. Lineart and shading by smieska-draws)
Description:
It's been a year since happily ever after. But, as the latest anti-monster conflict proves, happy endings are not one-time events: they must be constantly maintained. For one particular disturbed flower, happily ever after after is still far away, but that doesn't mean he must travel the long road to recovery alone.
Review:
(Note: Frisk and Chara are both a “she” in this work, for those who don’t like that.) This fanfiction excels in characterization and plot. The work is tonally versatile: its moments vary from quiet, to tense, to action-packed and cinematic. While Asriel-saving works are practically a subgenre in itself, the work nonetheless finds a way to make it unique with the angle of Flowey’s gradual recovery with soul-regeneration medication. Long Road’s human characters, including its new ones, also have well-developed personalities.
Kaitogirl (Kaitogirl's Underfell)
Patreon       Ko-Fi
Tumblr media
Description:
One work based on the community-owned Underfell AU setting. A human child falls into an underground realm of bitter, cynical monsters who want revenge on humanity, but nonetheless cheers up their lives as they try to return home.
Review:
(Warning: Has blood and swearing) As expected for Underfell, red and black are common colors in this work. But, rather than making everything red and black, colors are often altered to darker, redder and duller shades than in canon. In fact, one could also accurately describe this as “that purple Underfell”: this color-altering often results in shades that are broadly purple. Or, perhaps, one could say “zero-orange Underfell”: there’s practically no orange, and when yellow and green does appear (largely from Flowey) they’re dull shades. By Waterfall, the colors get richer, along with a general jump in art quality. Flowey, as is common for Underfell, is broadly “good” rather than “evil”, but his characterization here is pleasantly close to his canon one nonetheless: he’s grumpy and cynical and prone to getting frustrated with Frisk.
AbsoluteDream (Over the Void)
Patreon
Tumblr media
Description
After the events of Undertale, Frisk, Asriel, and Monster Kid find a secret room in Waterfall while visiting their old home in Mount Ebott. The room contained a mysterious mirror. Venturing through the mirror, they find themselves in an alternate reality where monsters were never sealed underground...but can they ever get back to their own reality?
Review
It’s just par for the course for the acclaimed AbsoluteDream: his art will blow your socks off, figuratively speaking. Over the Void’s art excels in virtually every aspect of comic-making; its flaws are so rare and minor I don’t think anyone not as thorough and critical as me would even notice them (or call them such). If one wasn’t wowed enough, Over the Void occasionally even has stunningly crisp animated panels. Characters’ distinct personalities shine out through facial expressions, body movements, and dialogue. While the plot hasn’t developed much only two chapters (and 76 pages!) in, the build-up is nonetheless intriguing.
Coffeelemental (The Anomaly)
Patreon
Tumblr media
Description
Frisk’s personal control of the timeline is used to ensure monsters have a peaceful return to the surface world – but the seven who sealed them underground in the first place have some problems with this.
Review
(Note: Frisk is a “she” in this work, for those who don’t like that.) The Anomaly, by Coffeelemental, is simultaneously the “Saturday Morning Cartoon of Undertale sequels” and the Sistine Chapel of Undertale fan comics in its tone, dedication, polish and detail.
Though its time-travel element and time-skip might seem like a risk to a simple plot, it nonetheless keeps the plot a perfect medium between complexity and simplicity. While some of The Anomaly’s themes (e.g., “With great power [over time] comes great responsibility”) are pretty common in Undertale works with a Frisk-based, Post-Pacifist timeline premise, The Anomaly nonetheless deals with those themes in an interesting way. Characters from the game itself hew closely to their original, nuanced personalities, and its seven human antagonists have remarkable characterization. (derived from the full review)

Day 15: Favorite Scene
So I was thinking about this one all day, trying to figure out what I wanted to draw.
So first I thought of the scene where Papyrus sees a human, sans tells him it’s a rock, then says ‘but what’s next to the rock?’ And Papyrus starts freaking out and next thing you know they’re just...spinning. Like all over the place. I love it. (We need more spinning skeletons stat)
Then there was a scene in my au (Vtale) that I cant reveal because I’m not even done writing out the whole plot, so... plus I can’t do it because this is UNDERTALE not UNDERTALE AUS! This is also why you won’t see any cute Kris, or Susie or police officer Undyne here because I’m restricting it ^^’
So anyways, even though I’m a strict pacifist, and would never think about going through with actually doing genocide, I love the reactions? If that makes sense? Because it shows a lot about the characters that you wouldn’t get from genocide.
Like papyrus’s kindness is infinite and even though yes, you did kill at least twenty people he still believes in you and won’t stop being merciful, even if it kills him.
Undyne will literally revive herself in an attempt at stopping you from killing the rest of the underground (and a lot of the times she succeeds because of how hard the battle is, and if it weren’t for you having the power to reset, you would have been stopped)
Muffet’s family still cares about her deeply, because even if she’s a swindler (gold digger? Gold trapper?) she’s swindling for the right reasons, or seemingly so.
Mettaton will try to stop you, despite how he know it will get him killed. And even if he’s doing it for the fame, that’s still a lot more courage then most people have. A lot more then I have.
And then sans. I can’t even begin to describe sans. I’m not going to even try, because I’m sure most of you actually know all about what there is to be known about him honestly.
But Chara. Chara chara chara. Now THEY are the most interesting one of all honestly. Because almost everyone assumes the worst in them because of their words in the Genocide route. But honestly I don’t see how their evil. Really I don’t. I mean think about it.
Chara is the first human who falls down into the underground. Now they wake up, and just about the first thing they see is a furry goat monster in their face. Now most people would attack said monster, because it’s a strange thing right in your face, regardless of how furry and cute it is. But they didn’t.
How do I know this? Well, it’s been pretty clear in Undertale that how much the monsters get hurt is by intent. Well, intent and LOVE and weapons, but mostly intent. I’m sure that if Asriel came back hurt or if someone told them that they saw the human hurting Asriel, they wouldn’t be very nice to Chara and be very cautious. This is seen in Toriel when Flowey hurts (or attempts to) us, and she immediately fireballs him away. Now this may be because she had prior interactions with him before, but this is also seen in the battle with Froggit where Toriel is there and she literally glares it away.
Point being if Chara had any intentions other then submissive and or pacifist and had hurt Asriel then Toriel at least wouldn’t have been so kind.
It’s seen multiple times that Chara has had good intentions/interactions (tries to make Asgore a pie with Asriel, helps the player and frisk as narrator, tried to break the barrier with Asriel, even encourages us after a FRICKEN GENOCIDE RUN that ‘another path may be more suited.’ . As in, DONT MURDER THE MONSTERS AGAIN.
I mean seriously. We just murdered almost all of the underground, and instead of encouraging us to do a Flowey (aka more murder) they say to do another path. Aka less murder.
If they really had evil intentions, they could have said nothing. Or better yet, done it for us, trapping us in an internal torment as we watch them murder the underground over and over again on the screen because they have our soul. But they didn’t. And that’s just...
Okay point being I really like chara, I don’t believe they’re evil, and I also like their snarky ‘who says your the one in control’ like a total edgelord.

DELTARUNE SPOILERS WARNING!
Ok, it's time to post opinions. My first impression of the game is: it's an interesting au! The whole traveling inside the closet (Narnia?) and the 2 factions in this "underground" make me think about a dream. I don't know if it was reality or not, but it gave me dream vibes. It's only chapter 1 anyway, and there are 3 save slots, maybe we're going to have 3 chapters in total, who knows. I liked the city and all the ut characters around: you can totally feel the au vibes here, since everyone are different from the originals (Undyne with both eyes, Alphys somewhat in love with Asgore, Asriel adult in college, Sans just arrived in the city, everyone on the surface, Gerson tombstone etc. also no references to the war, or other humans around). I won't talk about the journey cause I don't have much to say, it was a poor plot for me but it was entertaining. Also, it lasted only for the first chapter of this game, we can expect for more plot, but would it be focused on this weird underworld?
Right now, I prefer not to say anything more and focus on what I believe is the most important part of this game: the ending.
The ending was creepy and made me think about some weird troll. But it wasn't a troll. So, later, I decided to analyze that part, and I reached a conclusion.
It COULD be a sequel.
And now I'm explaining why.
Let's take in consideration that we're in a new "world". Alternative Universes, Timelines, Dimensions, come with things, people, choices and situations different from the first "world". A world where the war never happened. A world where Asgore and Toriel never married. A world where Gaster didn't die etc. we have many possibilities. What if this world is one of these "alternative" worlds? Keeping this is mind, let's talk about the main character: Who is Kris? They totally look like Chara expecially in the last frame, with red glowing eyes and a knife, ripping off their soul and putting it in the cage like they don't even need it. Why? Also that body with no face, acting like a zombie in the last sequence, as it's controlled by Chara as well as the soul itself.
Do you remember the end of no mercy route and soulless route? Chara took control, Chara took the soul, Chara wanted to move on another "world" in order to destroy it.
What if this Chara, controlling Frisk's soul (and body?) reached this world and is studying it before destroying it?
Let's remember that Toby Fox asked us to play it only if we have completed the Undertale game. Maybe it could be something like "100% completed" with no mercy and soulless route, exactly because we're going to explore what happened after that? Thinking about it, it would make more sense to create a sequel of a twisted ending (maybe leading to a redemption, Frisk's escaping from this fate, saving Chara in any way?) than create another game after a peaceful happy ending.
Also, the beginning of the game with that person talking to you, asking for the character... all the messages on Twitter made us think about Gaster, so it's weird if there's no Gaster. What if Gaster is the first person who talks to you in the game?
So, my only two opinion so far are 1 - It could be just an entertaining au (maybe cause Toby Fox didn't want to mess with the original story) 2 - It could be a sequel from the no mercy/soulless route.
And Gaster is talking to you from the game.

I love this a lot because it’s a really great use of technical truths. “what you see here is not the world of Undertale” yep. I know. It’s the world of Deltarune, which in the game is demonstrably different from Undertale. Choices don’t really matter, the conflict is different, monsters are above ground, etc. Toby, you didn’t answer the question.
“Deltarune’s world is a different one. With different characters that have different lives. A whole new story will begin.” Yeah I know! All the characters we love are different from how we remember them from Undertale! Different relationships, different positions....This is a whole new story. Toby, you still didn’t answer the question we think you’re answering.
This kind of answer is written in a way where it sounds like it means one thing but if you really think about what’s actually being said, it can’t mean that at all. Sure, it looks like he’s saying “this isn’t related at all see it has no impact it’s a whole new world,” but when you examine it...we already knew that this is a new scenario. And that wasn’t why we were asking. The thing we want to know is “why are the things we recognize from Undertale existing in Deltarune, and why are they like this?”
If you’re writing a separate story from your previous one, with no relationship whatsoever, you use totally new characters. You don’t bring old characters back but different. You don’t bring musical motifs and gaming mechanics and themes back even with new twists. But that’s not what happened here. We have things we recognize, but they’re different. All of that symbolizes “this is what you know in new different form” not “completely separate story.”
Now, of course, there’s still one more detail I need to contend with “[Undertale] will remain untouched.” That whole paragraph basically details that nothing you do here will change what happened when you play Undertale. and I agree with that. I don’t think DeltaRune will impact Undertale at all. I think at most it will recontextualize a few things, but at the core it will be the same and go whatever way you left Undertale on.
But again, Undertale staying untouched doesn’t mean no relation. It means that what happens won’t change the events you experienced in it. It means the plot of Deltarune can’t change the plot of Undertale. But that still leaves connections open.
I maintain that Deltarune is a prequel. Not in the traditional sense, no. Logically speaking the events of Deltarune can’t have happened right before Undertale. Asriel is in college, the monsters are above ground, Chara and Gaster are ???, there’s a lot to contend with if we treat it as one linear narrative. But...I have a question: since when was Undertale one linear narrative?
Undertale was always about timelines and the way your decisions impact them.  Sans in the genocide run has this really long monologue about meddling with the timelines and how everything is fucked. When you restart people comment on memories they have from the previous timeline, or the way you look as a result of said timeline. In all of Undertale, there has never been one world. One timeline. I’m gonna use a Sans quote here to make my point.
Tumblr media
Sans-es. Sans-es from other timelines, other worlds where you make different choices. What if Deltarune is just...a timeline that’s a result of different choices? It’s the same people more or less, it doesn’t affect Undertale, but it’s a whole new story.
Now, this still leaves room for it being just an AU but that’s where all the weird unexplained stuff in Undertale comes in. The machine in Sans’ secret lab and the picture on the neutral, all the fun value content you can get in the game depending on the value you have, the other stuff you can hack into...all that is there for a reason. You don’t put stuff like this in a place people can get to, particularly the fun value stuff and Sans’ thing which you can get pretty naturally (you get a random fun value so it’s possible to get one of the events at random like the wrong number song), if it doesn’t matter at all.
Sure, it doesn’t matter to the story of Undertale. You will get a complete Undertale experience without any of that. All the themes will hit you and the right character beats etc. You don’t need this for Undertale...
But you do for Deltarune. A lot of this is starting to come back. Gaster most notably with his theme and the Entry Number 17 noise coming up in Deltarune, but there’s a lot of other things that when looked at through the lense of Deltarune take a new light, specifically with this extra or “cut” content. And to me, that means...Deltarune has had some impact on Undertale. It does not change Undertale. No, nothing can change Undertale.
But Deltarune eventually will make it. The timeline is all fucked up. We know that. I think Deltarune is where things initially went wrong. It’s a story we can’t change because it was already decided by Undertale existing as it does.
And finally, “It’s a game you can play after you complete Undertale if you want to.” I think that speaks for itself.

Undertale: Adventures of Chara(here called Ezy), Asriel and an OC
THIS IS AN AU WHERE ASRIEL NEVER DIED, EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY AND IS HAPPY WITH HAPPINESS
OC is Snek, who is a monster. A snake girl. The name was supposed to be temporary but it stuck. She's an overly shy but skilled soldier who still hangs around even when she is off duty.
First part Making Food
Asriel was minding his own business in the house when he heard an unfamiliar voice arguing with Ezy in the kitchen. He stopped behind the closed kitchen door and listened.
"I didn't say destroy it! Now there's egg all over the counter!" sighed the stranger.
"But I only have two levels of violence," replied Ezy, "Off. And on."
"Then turn the violence off and just break the eggs in a normal fashion!"
"There is literally a force stopping me from doing things moderately. If I turned off the violence, they wouldn't break at all." Ezy whined.
"Hey!" Ezy suddenly shouted, interrupting themself. "Why don't YOU just do the eggs, and then I'LL fry them."
"Because breaking the eggs is part of the process of cooking the meal!" argued the stranger. "You said you wanted to learn how to cook, preparation and cleaning is as important as cooking the food."
A silence happened for long enough for Asriel to think that the situation had resolved itself. He opened the door and walked into the kitchen.
The voice bellowed, "THAT'S TOO MUCH HEAT. OH MY GOD IT'S LIKE THERE'S ANOTHER UNDYNE IN HERE."
Asriel saw the owner of the voice: The usually reserved *Snek, whom he had dismissed as being mute.
The shock of the changing situation forced the prince to holler something of his own.
"D --- DOn'T FALL OUT OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS, YoU TWO..."
His presence in turn caused Snek to withdraw back into her quiet shell. "Y-Your grace."
"We're not falling out." Stated Ezy, throwing their arm over the snake with a grin. "Bickering is a normal part of friendship. I'd say it brings us closer together."
Snek broke away from the human and wordlessly went to attend to the pan that had started sizzling out of control.
Asriel looked defeated. "But we're friends. Why don't we ever bicker?" he asked quietly.
"Because you cry"
~Later~
"You can talk. That's so .... so weird. My dad said you were mute." muttered Asriel.
The other two were sat at the table. Attempts had been made to get Asriel to sit down too, but he was too busy pacing.
"She's like 02, then. Silent but deadly." Asriel concluded.
Suddenly Ezy saw an oppourtunity. "Hey, wanna hear my Asgore impression?"
They both looked at them quietly. Ezy interpreted the silence as a yes.
"SUCH A FINE SOLDIER HAS NO NEED FOR WORDS."
Snek blushed and pretended to recieve a text.
Asriel frowned. "Sounds nothing like him."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Two, a plot
Asriel was sitting at the dinner table, reading. Ezy sidled into the room and flopped down on the opposite side of the table with a sigh.
"What's up?" Asked Asriel, not looking up.
"Everybody loves the king. Nobody would ever hurt him." They sighed again.
"Of course. Dad's just a nice person."
"I'll have to do it." they muttered.
Asriel moved the giant pot of flowers in the middle of the table to one side with a gesture of the hand so he could see his sibling.
"......hurt him?"
Ezy had their face down, speaking into the table. "I was gonna hire somebody to do it but if nobody wants to, I'll have to do it myself."
The book was no longer a priority, so Asriel put it down. He leaned across the table. "Why would you hurt the man who took you in? Who raised you as one of his own children?"
"I promised I wouldn't tell."
Asriel forgot about the table and went round to look at Ezy face to face. "So -- so, what? Someone asked you to do this? Is there a plot to kill dad?"
"No, no one's ... /killing/ anyone.. I." Ezy started fidgeting. "I can't sayyyy itttt."
Asriel didn't avert his eyes.
Ezy vibrated intensely. "Hmmmmmmmm I cannnnnnn't"
The prince took his sibling by the shoulders and shook them. Everything fell out in one sentence.
"Someone wants to get closer to him, so I thought why not pretend he's being attacked, then the someone can run in and stop the attack, but get hurt in the process, and then Dad can nurse them back to health and they'll get closer that way."
Ezy punched the table. The flowers jumped.
"DAMN IT!! EVERY TIME!! Don't tell anyone. It's supposed to be a secret!"
Asriel frowned. "His door is open all the time, you only have to walk in and then spend the rest of the day chatting."
"Not. If. You're. Shy!" came a very strained reply.
Silence.
"...............Is this about Snek?"
Ezy started throwing playful punches at the prince. "EVERYONE KNOWS I AM BAD AT KEEPING SECRETS SO WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS MAKE ME KEEP SECRETS"
Limbotale
A continuation of Undertale: Genocide route.
I’ve been thinking, I’ve seen so many continuations of the other routes, but none for the genocide route, understandably. But like normal death for us humans, maybe the monsters of Undertale do have somewhere to go when they’re slain. But Heaven or Hell are too typical and cliche, so what about some of the other afterlife realms, like Limbo. There’s so many AUs of Undertale, but only like, one or two of them are really continuations of the original handful of endings. Like I said, mostly the Pacifist and Neutral endings, and yes, I know that Genocide means everyone’s dead, but even that isn’t complete erasure.
What I was contemplating about this “Limbotale” is that every character who’s died still wanders about, still with their old personalities and quirks, albeit everything is more somber and melancholic and even slightly cynical, but generally the same as the lively Undertale timeline was. Although, every character has prominent scars racked across their bodies from when they were mercilessly cleaved by Chara’s blade. The scars no longer secrete blood, and don’t cause the monsters physical pain. Mental and emotional pain, yes, very much so, but they try to set aside the damage that they’ve suffered and go about their lives as they once had. Of course, some monsters may be better at this than others.
One of the main points of melancholy is that everyone remembers, so they’re very wary of humans. Somewhat mercifully, it’s not too severe since they are already dead, so they have the comfort of knowing that they can never die again, at least via normal means of death. The monsters holding the most suspicion of humans are the characters you’re able to befriend the most with during an Undertale playthrough. ie. Sans, Papyrus, Toriel, Asgore, Undyne, and Alphys. Some of the ex villains too, like Mettaton and even Asriel. Remember, Asriel wasn’t always a flower, and I figure that when he’s killed, his dust reverts back to its original body in Limbo.
Also, the point with Alphys, yeah it’s a contradictory thing because she’s never encountered in a genocide run. Maybe when Chara’s free, she finds her somewhere and kills her too eventually? *shrug* Same with the other monsters who’d evacuated from the Underground.
Anyway, just like in Undertale, you have the option to fight or spare everything you encounter. Now that everything’s dead, people mainly cheer themselves up by engaging in sparring matches for sport. Nothing can die, so sparing is technically considered forfeiting, but it’s still labeled as “spare”. For the sake of aesthetics, lol. And the battle system is all the same; monsters still use the same attacks as they had during life, so things can be pretty easy to go through.
So I’ve been going on about how life’s like now for the monsters of the Underground in Limbo, and mentioning the battle system seems like a good segway into the plot of the whole thing, no? Like I said, battles are now friendly competition amongst the monsters, but against humans it’s much the same as before. You see, there’s a barrier between two sections of this Limbo world; one being a residential zone for the dead monsters, and another for the souls of dead humans. Ooh, interesting, no? ewe Anywho, the two races live separated because of the monsters’ stigmatic view of humans, even though the humans are dead too. The monsters still want only to live in peace, and since being massacred by one evil human, this is where their skepticism originates from; the monsters essentially want nothing to do with the humans. But sometimes, members of either race seem to fancy risking interactions with each other. It doesn’t happen often at all, and thankfully the races never really squabble with each other over the rare mingling members, but the monsters do see that some humans are still good-hearted even after death. But of course they still prefer to play it safe and keep the barrier up to at least let them have a peaceful afterlife.
As the story goes of a new foray into Limbotale, one spectral human is interacting with Asriel through the barrier, simply talking as is all they can do. They talk about their lives in their respective residencies, what they tend to do for fun otherwise, how their other neighbors are going about, and so on and so forth. They proceed to converse about how they were killed, and how their lives were like before their deaths. It’s both joyful and solemn for the both of them, and when they come up to talking about random topics, they’re interrupted by their respective caretakers and separated once again. When they’re able to meet up again, Asriel starts coming up with an idea to bring the human into the monster zone, but he’d need to plan how to not have his friend monitored and outcasted by all the other monsters. His main plan involves the human befriending the main characters foremost, being as they’re the most looked up upon by all the other monsters. If they can trust at least one of the spectral humans this time, maybe the stigma will lessen at least for the human for now.
So, the story technically begins with the player going around Snowdin Town, of course accompanied by Asriel, and you can wander around freely as you wish, interacting with virtually anything. I should also mention that Limbotale does take place a few years after the events of the genocide ending, possibly in the wake of Chara reincarnating the world after you give your soul to them. That’s a plausible outcome, no? .3. Anyway, Asriel acts as your sidekick in this world, and he stays with you throughout the whole thing, if only to see to it that you’re not too uncomfortable in the midst of all the wariness and stigmatic fear.
As I said for the battle system, the random monsters who get into battles with you can be spared, and similarly to your hypothetical score in Undertale, every monster you spare slowly lessens your skeptical projection to the monsters, making you more viable to be trusted. Occasionally you encounter the main characters, funnily enough in the same orders, and their battles are more of a test of how determined and faithful you are to show them you’re not out to hurt anyone. This is about as committing as before, but this time there’s more room for error… The local monsters are simple enough to work around, but the main theme of this world is faithfulness, and that’s what the main bosses are testing. You have to be a lot more honest and careful with your choices to win their acceptance. This may seem cheap and cynically straightforward, but remember, all of these characters were brutally murdered by a demon and they won’t forget those scars… So as you go through the story, befriending the characters in general sequence, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Toriel, Asgore, and finally Sans, you gradually gain the acceptance of the whole monster zone. The main bosses do pretty much grow accustomed to you as you go along anyway, but in sequence is as it’s confirmed if they’ve accepted you as a friend.
However, Sans is the one who your choices strictly matter; he’s very cautious of humans, still relatively laid back, but definitely very watchful, to the point where he’s as daunting to be around as he is relieving. Once Papyrus is befriended though, Sans is a little easier to persuade as long as you play your cards right with him. Partially by way of that is successfully befriending his other friends, the aforementioned characters, and when interacting with him himself. Of course, since he’s so analytical and psychological, you have to essentially match his mindset. That doesn’t mean just telling him what he wants to know on the spot. What I mean by that is, Sans is virtually the only one who critically listens to what you tell him, so if you say one thing, and then tell him something that doesn’t quite match up, he will call you out on it, and if his trust for you isn’t sufficient enough, he’ll initiate a very difficult battle with you. But seeing as you probably wouldn’t want to fight him, you need only talk to him three times and then spare him, granted he doesn’t beat you down first. Of course you can’t die in this world, but him beating you has pretty much the same effect as in Undertale, and his trust decreases. If you’re not honest, or even if your own words escape your knowledge as to what you once told Sans, you may find yourself in a lot of battles with him. Of course, he’s also as frustratingly difficult to fight as when he was alive; of course all of the bosses are, relatively.
So Sans is essentially the main monster you would benefit most from befriending, but his battles can range from relatively difficult to borderline unfairly hard depending on where you stand with his friends. Of course this is all easy if you go about the story with pacifist intentions. Curiously enough, his battle on a completely harmless Pacifist run is surprisingly forgiving. By the time you face him for the last time, he should be mostly accepting of you, but you must still be very careful. If you choose to attack him even once, or even by accident, his trust will drop back to below half and make the battle much harder than it should be. Interestingly, if that happens, he won’t be particularly happy about it. Almost disappointed, but indifferent at the same time. You’d think he’d actually be more expectant of it if anything. But if you get through it with no mistakes, the last battle is the point when Sans finally fully accepts you as a friend. If you do happen to blunder up, he’ll likely be the only one who still doesn’t fully trust you. It seems unfair, but understandable as well.
So all this explaining, and there hasn’t really been a point to all this, has there? Hmm, right then, what’s this world looking forward to, you wonder. I suppose there’s not much of a goal for them to anticipate, but maybe making friends with the humans again. I mean, before, they wanted to leave the Underground and live among the humans again, but now that they’re dead with a stigmatic view of them, living among them would be the last thing they’d want. Yeah, this time they’re simply hoping to befriend particular humans who do still approve of them, to come to terms with their death and eventually accept that friends can still be made in the humans.
What’s interesting about this world is that unlike Undertale where if you beat the game, then go through the world by the same route, nothing much differs, Limbotale actually remembers previous playthroughs, even if you’re going down the same route. Albeit, something interesting does pervade, such as of course the new character being unknown to the monsters, but the last human you played as is now an NPC in the world, and they can even be interacted with. They generally tell you things they’ve done and can give tips about things, like qualities on their main friends or comments on the world from a 3rd person perspective. But this only happens if you go through the whole story up till the point where the “reset” option in the main menu says “true reset”. Which doesn’t actually reset anything as it does in Undertale, what it technically means is it’s “resetting” the routine of life in the game, so you’re going through the same script on a different forward in-game point in time. So with each playthrough of the same Pacifist route, your previous humans will get to become permanent residents in the monster zone, sometimes interacting with various overworld monsters too. Also, the monsters remember as well, but beware of course, the stigma will pretty much always exist, hence with each playthrough, you will have to battle the boss characters every time.
However, this world is also very unforgiving if you decide to try and go through with murderous intentions. Well, I say murderous. I mean by getting into battles and choosing the fight option will quickly scare the monsters, and get the bosses on your case almost immediately. If caught, they’ll berate you and Asriel, and then throw you into stupidly difficult battles. Should you somehow survive all this, the monsters all accuse you of being Chara coming back to torture them again. The payoff is hardly even worth it, I’ll tell you now, seeing as it should be pretty obvious even thinking about it. The only thing that does happen for a tormenting run is raising the resentment of the monsters towards humans, dead or alive, and making the next playthroughs more difficult, until after quite a few at least. And besides, that’s supposed to be the whole idea of limbo, isn’t it? To go through and atone for your sins and mistakes?
I wonder if this might clash with the Aftertale AU in some way. >3>
So I’ve Been Thinking
(probably not good that I’m thinking, but ehhh)
It might be hard, but I have so many different AU ideas for Gravity Falls and Undertale. If anyone has lots of experience in the AU communities, I’d love to get some help on investigating to whether these have been done before or not. I’ll post the base ideas below the cut, and if you like any of them, please let me know! I really want to start leaving a mark somewhere since these people and communities have helped me so much.
(Note, all of these AU’s will be written AU’s. I will do some art, but not to the point where it’s a comic like most AU’s)
Undertale AU Ideas
Renegetale: Renege means simply to go back on your word. A world with slightly different events leading up to the deaths of Asriel and Chara, which leads to Asgore not saying he’ll kill all humans, which leads to many of the promises being made in Undertale never being made or becoming broken. It all leads up to the falling of Frisk, who has to go through the Underground. It’s the first AU I really ever thought of, and has gone through about a month or two of preparation and planning, and I’m still not where I need to be.  (I have Frisk planned to be non-binary and Chara planned to be female, due to some of the events that happen and older-time views when “she” was alive of girls being inferior to boys, which influences some of “her” decisions)
Underemblem: An Undertale and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright crossover AU. The following (main) swaps occur, with many others as well:
Frisk -> Corrin Chara -> Azura Sans -> Ryoma Undyne -> Hinoka Papyrus -> Takumi Asriel -> Sakura Toriel -> Mikoto Asgore -> Sumeragi Alphys -> Yukimura Justice (Human Soul) -> Garon Bravery (Human Soul) -> Xander Patience (Human Soul) -> Camilla Integrity (Human Soul) -> Leo Kindness (Human Soul) -> Elise
This AU is only loosely based upon the Fire Emblem game itself. The Ebott kingdom is at war with their neighbors, (Unknown name), as in the FE game, but there are other changes. “Sumeragi” is not dead. “Azura” is not kidnapped, instead willing leaving her home. It takes the basic plot of Birthright with a few twists, shaping a war between humans and monsters and Frisk’s story. (In this AU, I have Frisk planned to be male and Chara to be female, for the reason that during the time period Fire Emblem takes place, gender is very important when it comes to who rules what.)
Gravity Falls AUs
Portal Falls: A world in which Ford’s portal is not created until much later on in his life, only being finished about the time Mabel and Dipper are born. During a fight with Stan almost identical to the canon one they have, both twins fall into the portal. 19 years later, Mabel and Dipper are informed by their parents about the disappearances of their uncles, which leads them to accepting an offer to become the new owners of the “Mystery Shack” and looking for the journals to bring the portal and their uncles back. The journals are long found by other people (Gideon has the second, as per the show, but I’m still debating on who has the third), and their only lead is the first journal, which was left behind in the portal room since nobody dared to go in there since it was found out what had happened.
??? (Currently code-named Separation Anxiety): A world in which at the end of “Dipper and Mabel VS The Future”(S2E17), Mabel accepts Dipper taking the apprenticeship offer, and heads back to California on her own. Even with the rift sealed, Bill is still lurking (of course) and Mabel is trying to figure out just why she was left alone to California, making a lot of false assumptions and whatnot, leading to her changing in an attempt to become more like Dipper and Ford so she can stay back in Gravity Falls with them the next time she gets the chance to visit.
If you liked any of these at all, please let me know so I know if it’s worth it to start further development and if you can, I’d really appreciate any help I can get when it comes to looking around for the ideas!
