Exodus asks 'What would Magneto do?'

After the decimation was a challenging time for Exodus and The Acolytes. The revered Magneto was now human, though that doesn't stop Exodus from remembering his sermons. His mental state is unstable without a purpose so he desperately searches for one by revisiting times he felt like he was part of something greater.

My french is a little rusty but he has fond memories of being formally acknowledged as a hero and 'knight without equal' - and granted the title of Grand Duke - a pretty serious deal in 12th century France. Not sure why he'd be fighting The Franks. The Franks were France mostly, at least in the High Middle Ages. Avignon was the Papal seat in the 1300s, so maybe he's meant to be protecting the Pope and the dates are mixed up by 200 years. Maybe I'm missing something, I'm not a Medieval scholar by any means. Also, Exodus has been known to have a loose grasp on reality. Anyway, he decides his purpose is to fuck up SHIELD. I dig it.

Maria Hill (boo!) is chilling on a helicarrier, probably either planning or covering up war crimes. Her day is thoroughly ruined when Exodus comes crashing through walls and tearing shit up like a pink terminator. He drops a pretty dope one liner in response to her command to contain him. Exodus refuses to be contained and he's not impressed with their psi division either.

'Even dogs can be trained to walk' - says the dude who won the superpower lottery. He melts the brains of the psi division and revels in Maria's shock. She's probably thinking 'fucking great. Magneto the second except crazier' and she's not far off. Exodus is here for a reason beyond shits and giggles though.

He restrains everyone easily and non-lethally and is unconcerned about the possibility of SHIELD hunting him. While they chat he telekinetically uses helicarrier parts to build.

After taking the plans for a future Cerebro from Cable's mind he builds one the easy way - from bits of SHIELD helicarrier lol. Sadly it's all for nothing, as there's nothing to find. No More Mutants was quite thorough, leaving only ~200 on Earth.

Maria Hill remains quiet for once, perhaps realising gunboat diplomacy doesn't work on someone who can crumple gunboats like paper. The X-Men try regular diplomacy but Exodus is really not in the mood.

When he leaves they send a sentinel after him, and Exodus hints that he might have been part of a knightly order. Or he chooses to ignore that knights were mostly armed robbers and killers. Either way, bye bye sentinel. He fucks off to sulk for a few years but he will return once he's figured out an interpretation of Catholicism and mutant supremacy translates into something to crusade for.

One, in bunny slippers and a robe-equivalent of the Acolyte uniform, having prepared breakfast and tea for the Acolytes in the kitchen of clockwork castle, is carefully preparing tiny Dweller of Strifes to put on top of some celebratory cupcakes. He can't wait to surprise his Master with the resurrection of the Dweller of Strife, and hopes The Fleshmancer remembers him.

Two is reading a report at the breakfast table and absentmindedly snacking on bacon, which Four keeps trying to steal but keeps getting thwarted by Two smacking his hand with her rod. She reads aloud interesting details in a sotto voice, to avoid waking Three

Three is physically present at the table but laying face down, either asleep or communing with the wood-- the others aren't sure which

One, upon finishing the little details on the mini Strifes' eyes, looks up at just the right time to see Valere/Zale/etc climbing up the mountain in his back yard, and accidentally drops the piping bag of frosting on the plate of cupcakes, which can only mean one thing-

ACOLYTES are generally regarded as the powerful, the guardians, the most trusted of a FIGUREHEADS followers.

TIME did not want to share its burden. It did want to protect other younglings, however. It did not want what happened to it, to happen to anyone else.

So, for its ACOLYTES, it chose those that were similarly, not as cared for in their communities.

Ekkyrx was from another colony nearby, they were outright hated and regarded as a beacon of misfortune and hate. The earth had stopped sprouting. The beasts in the stone were active. Its emergence coincided with everything. They were not the cause. They were just a symptom of PARANOIAS influence.

Tessix's preform was found far too early. It could not finish forming itself when removed from the chamber. nonetheless, it tried. It could never have succeeded. It was cast out, useless, it had nothing to protect itself, its hands were wickedly formed, it could not stay. It was an omen. It was not its fault that their preform was removed too early.

Hraisix is entirely different. Its colony was long gone by the time it emerged, their BEING warped by something else entirely, wrapped in a blanket of the end. TIME found it far too late for it to be removed. Instead, it showed them that the end was unachievable, that the end was never a goal.

ooc lore: Hraisix is.. kind of FINITES kit?? basically. its COLONY left before it had actually had a visible preform, and part of FINITE was beneath the chamber it was in. since its COLONY was no longer supplying life, it drew from FINITES memories and literally formed based off of what FINITE remembered of her kits. so TIMES acolytes in general are just.. its kids for lack of a better term?? idk how to explain it language is hell. Found family dynamics i Guess

Also, the 'x' at the end of their name is a click noise. its very much necessary.
