I think a part of being on tumblr is that when you make a rebloggable post you are not starting one conversation but in fact making a jumping off point for many other people to say tangential things on their own blogs. and it can be frustrating as the op to feel like people are getting off topic, but sometimes people on this website are cataloguing their own collection of esoterica in ways only comprehensible to them and the way they tagged the post was not addressed to you, the op, or your larger point, even though you can see all of it. (sometimes people are intending to enter your conversation space and are being wrong in there though. the problem is that mechanically this can look identical). I have been on both sides of this and yes it can be very frustrating as the op of something that gets spirited away to tangents beyond your original intention and context but you do have the option to turn off notifications if it bothers you that much. instead of getting angry at people using the website for various of its intended purposes
#not a vaguepost#well it is a vague post lol but not about anyone or anything in particular#anyway people can recontextualize things for the purposes of their own blog and it's not a personal attack#I've started to get more jaded about long threads where the op goes through the notes and berates everyone whose tags they didn't like#''everyone's misinterpreting my post'' < maybe. but maybe they were saying a tangential thing that made more contextual sense on their blog#which your post reminded them of. which is allowed#again I myself have had desire to do similar things because sometimes people are being wrong in my notes#but! they are not interacting with me! they are interacting with the post as an object!#the author is dead even though I'm alive and seeing everyone's tags

hey I really like your fics and it's my birthday today! do you think you could write a little snippet where Rodney takes John to the symposium in brain storm instead and they're tag team bitchy 🥺🥺🥺 pretty pretty please 🥺🥺🥺
happy birthday!!!!! i hope you had an absolutely wonderful day and i apologize that this took so long! i hope you enjoy 🥰💜
"Rodney McKay?"
John immediately felt giddy when he recognized the voice as The Bill Nye. John turned in excitement to see him and Neil DeGrasse Tyson approaching, but his excitement dropped as soon as he saw the look on Rodney's face.
"We had it on good authority that you were... dead," Nye continued, and John suddenly understood why Rodney looked so bothered.
"Nope, he's actually very good at keeping himself and others alive. Been doing it for a few years now, even. Hi, Lt. Colonel John Sheppard," John said, and if he maybe looked a little bit scarier than he usually did when he introduced himself, well, he could hardly be blamed for that.
"Lt. Colonel? How do you know Rodney?" Tyson asked, looking surprised, and maybe a bit nervous, and that certainly made John feel a little smug.
"We work together," Rodney said quickly, glancing at John.
"You work with the U.S. military?" Nye questioned.
"Yeah it's uhh, it's-"
"Confidential. Pretty cool though," John answered in his casual drawl, smirking at Nye and Tyson. They exchanged a look.
"Right... Uhh, well... It was good to see you, McKay. And uhh, nice to meet you?" Tyson said, backing up a few steps before turning and pulling Nye back to whoever they were previously talking to.
"Thanks. That was... actually kind of bearable," Rodney said with a sigh of relief. John smiled at him.
"Come on, let's go get our seats early," John said, throwing an arm protectively around Rodney's shoulder as they made their way into the auditorium.
--
"That's- that's my bridge!" Rodney whispered harshly, and John clenched his teeth.
"I thought it looked familiar. It's the one you and Jeannie built, isn't it? John asked quietly. Rodney nodded as that Tunney guy continued spouting off how he was going to save the planet- and John almost scoffed, because Rodney had saved the planet- multiple times- and even he didn't feel the need to brag to everyone about it.
At least not this arrogantly.
"Okay, I've heard enough," John said, sliding out of his seat. Rodney followed on instinct.
"Where are we going?" Rodney whispered as they made their way through the seats. John turned back to answer when he was interrupted.
"Doctor McKay, leaving so soon?" Tunney called, and suddenly every face in the auditorium turned to John and Rodney. John's hand instinctively twitched for the gun he didn't have.
"Yeah, sorry, that's my fault. I forgot about some... important business we need to urgently take care of," John called back, his casual drawl masking the anger vibrating through him.
"Well, I'm sure it can wait until the presentation is over," Tunney shot back, a smug grin on his face. "I'm sure McKay would be fascinated by my discovery."
John clenched his fists as he glanced at Rodney, who was looking equal parts furious and embarrassed. He opened his mouth, and John shot him a look.
"Well, considering this work is shockingly similar to work he did with me and the U.S. military two years ago, I don't think it'll be that exciting to him. Thanks for the hospitality, but we need to go," John said, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Come on Rodney, we're leaving."
"You... you stood up for me," Rodney said when they got back into the lobby, and John was so busy looking for a phone it took him a second to process what Rodney said.
"Of course I stood up for you, that asshole was stealing your work. And he clearly isn't going to be able to prevent the issues we had last time with Rod, and I really don't need another alternate version of us showing up here of all places. We need to get to a phone so we can call the SGC, get this guy shut down." John was moving through the lobby again, looking for a landline, when he noticed Rodney was still just standing there. "What?"
"You didn't even hesitate. You just... thank you," Rodney said, and John was so taken back by the genuine sincerity he almost forgot about the matter at hand.
"Tell you what, if you help me find a phone so I can call Landry, you can make the announcement to everyone that Tunney is getting arrested for stealing top secret work that you came up with, okay? But we really need to call Landry before that machine gets started up."
Rodney beamed.
"I think I love you," Rodney said, like it was the most casual thing in the world, before pointing and leading John down the hallway to what must have been office space. Johns heart fluttered in response.
#okay not REALLY tag team bitchy#more john being bitchy on rodney's behalf#but#still good right?#anyways happy birthday!!!!#also this was the sweetest thing ever thank you 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹#genuinely hope you had an amazing birthday and got everything you wanted#ficlet#asks#mcshep#john sheppard#rodney mckay#brainstorm#sga

omg omg omg omg um um um okay *violently shaking*.
I opened up my inbox now omg I forgot to turn it off for this blog TwT so any follow ups could be asked from there!
Okay so, I'll go in order for each WIP :)
Cale dies
This one is quite self explanatory from the title, but Cale dies. It's a deathfic sickfic about him catching an incurable disease and him trying to live out the rest of the time he has left with the people he cares about and leaving behind a many good things as he can for them. It's quite fluffy (at first), and is generally slice of life. It's posted on my AO3 and ongoing under the title "a hero who will never be seen in the world again." It's ongoing with about 50k or so words posted (new chapter up soon!) and I'm estimating around just a little over 20 chapters or so (we're at 9 rn :)) Lots of fluff and exploration of different character dynamics, both ones with Cale and among the characters (Like Hannah and Mary, Bud and Glenn, a little bit of the northeastern nobles, Beacrox and Choi Han, etc.) There's expansion on Cale's KRS trauma, and the way is family feels about him and vice versa.
You can also find art and general updates and extras about this story on my blog under the tag #hero who will never be seen in the world again :)
2. AND THEY WERE COMRADES
Lol the doc title is my working title for now as I haven't come up with anything yet. This ones is about OG Cale and Choi Han during the 20-year long war and their camaraderie (platonic). They hate hate hate each other like a lot. Cale's whole family is dead, and Choi Han is the commander. It explores their time during battles and during training and how they (very) slowly start to open up to tolerate, and then eventually trust and even just like each other as people.
Some little bits include Cale bullying and provoking Choi Han into sparring with him (which was honestly just more like a one-sided beatdown at first) And I mean Choi Han wouldn't pass up a chance to pummel him, though eventually he actually like it because Cale is very good at provoking him and bringing out his abilities in turn. A lot of sparring scenes actually, as Cale uses the opportunity to study Choi Han and his techniques and such outside of regular soldier training hours. Then there's also Cale earning the name 'cockroach' or some insect amongst the other soldiers because literally no matter what you throw at him he just will not die. He clawed his way out of the sea, bleeding, half-dead, but alive and complaining about the sea salt stinging his wounds. He'll hide in a pile of bodies, he'll pretend to be dead, he'll wrestle and beatdown an arm member if his sword breaks. Even if he ends up barely alive in the end, as long as he's breathing he'll be ready for the next battle. He's really just a survivor. This is also how he starts to earn Choi Han's respect since his struggle reminds him of his time in the Forest of Darkness a little.
Eventually, they start to form platoons, and since Choi Han is a commander I guess he has the authority to choose the captains and stuff. So naturally, to screw with Cale, but also because he trusts him a little, he decides to make him Captain of Platoon #1 (does this sound familiar). Cale chokes while he's in like as soon as he hears his name and every name that follows immediately groans in despair when they realize they'll be in the same team as the infamous trash.
Of course at first they have zero respect for Cale and hate him, though Cale acts just as indifferent but makes sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to do with some annoying nagging. But eventually, they realize he really cares. He carries them with him to somewhere safe when they're injured in battle, and when someone's in the medical tent because they're injured, he'd come over and sit next to them every once in a while with food and water and keep them company. Everyone who enlisted had some degree of baggage after the attacks, and everyone's lost something. Cale could see they're clearly upset or something, so sometimes he'd come up to them and talk. Of course, everyone's reluctant to say a word, especially since he seems drunk when he does. But after some prodding they just end up airing it all out to him, thinking he's just annoying and won't be coherent enough to really understand. The different thing about Cale is that he's very honest. Maybe blunt, and maybe seemingly insensitive, but he's honest. He lets them say what they need to say, cry maybe, and says s short word of condolence, but no empty words. He says the harsh truth of what they need to hear, and his honest opinion. Sometimes honesty is just what they really needed to hear, and the closer they look, the more they see the hint of clarity in his 'drunken' eyes. They also see how hardworking he is, more diligent than he seems. turns out the fact that he keeps ditching practice early was to go to some secluded spot in the forest to train on his own without anyone looking, and sometimes with even with commander choi han. When someone dies, he always carries their body back and gives them a proper burial. Thanks to all this, Cale starts becoming a very respected leader among his platoon members.
There's def more details in my notes about Cale's foot soldier days and how he gets along with members of the main cast, as well s his complex relationship with Choi Han, but in the end, they got along with a sense of respect for each other, though they have a very playful rivalry that can easily make it seem like they hate each other, though deep down they do care. A fun little detail is that in the beginning Cale starts mockingly calling Choi Han 'Han-ah'. Commander Han-ah, Han-ah, Han-ah the annoying punk, Han-ah the overpowered bastard, such and such. Choi Han was super annoyed at first, and eventually pettily pays back by calling Cale Cale-yah in a mocking way during training. Cale also eventually manifests aura smoke after all that difficult training with Choi Han and on his own over the course of decades. Not at Choi Han's level, but still pretty damn good. Ah but eventually the final battle happens, and Cale, who is half dead, is being carried away by Choi Han while the world is basically ending. He's trying to talk to him, make sure he stays conscious, but it's difficult. Then Cale hears GoD's voice, and the deal happens. I won't get into it too much but CHoi Han finds a way to follow Cale to earth 1 while leaving a part of him behind to regress in nameless and meet Krs!Cale.
The first time he saw KRS, he almost kills him on sight because his face is literally WS'. Then Cale, now Roksoo, tries to talk to him but oh now they're fighting in alleyway. He does get through to him in the end by using a few moves Cale used when training with Choi Han and saying some stuff. Choi Han hugs him, which KRS is caught off guard by, but they just head back to KRS' apartment where he explains everything. So now they're boomer roommates trying to figure out how to send emails! yay! This part of the story includes PTSD, fluff, Roksoo's adorable niece, and him trying to explain Choi Han is an old friend of his he hasn't seen in a while who's rooming with him to his team.
Whew! that sure took a while, sorry for the ramble but yeah this is a fun litle story i started bc I wanted to Og Cale to be happy and have someone to heal from his trauma with pls pls pls.
3. from writer to reader.
Okie dokie, so this one's an ORV one shot featuring KDJ and HSY, specifically 1863rd turn HSY and 15 yo KDJ and how Han Sooyoung takes care of and looks out for KDJ through her writing over the years as he continues to read her story. Stuff like 5 paragraphs worth of Lee Seolhwa healing YJH in great detail, from what she uses and how she uses it so that Kim Dokja could properly take care of himself and his wounds, even using the stuff he could find from the nearest convenience store without going over his budget. There's also detailed cooking montages with YJh that just feel more like a cookbook for various easy recipes, and even KDJ's favorites. A scenario where YJH has to answer an interview that seem a lot like Job interview questions when he's older. A scene where LJH mentions her study techniques back in high school. Words of reassurance form characters that she wished she could deliver to Dokja, how to dress properly, how to manage finances, how to manage an apartment, stuff like that slipped in subtly, with care, for him. After all, it is the story written for just that one reader. All the way up until the day the apocalypse hits, and HSY's well wishes.
I took inspiration for this concept from a rlly good orv Tumblr post so please if anyone knows which one it is or finds it pls pls pls pls i had a screenshot on my old phone but its gone.
Ah, and here's a snippet:
Kim Dokja smiled a little to himself as he read the barrage of concerned questions Yoo Joonghyuk’s companions asked the indifferent man, despite him brushing them off and trying to divert their attention to focusing on preparing for the next scenario. It made him sigh— just let them worry about you, you sunfish. Kim Dokja found himself inwardly wishing that he could have people who’d care about him that way, but he was more of a nuisance than someone worth thinking about.
So for now, he was content with reading and wishing like this.
Soon enough, Lee Seolhwa arrived, quickly sitting beside Yoo Joonghyuk with her medical supplies in tow. She took Yoo Joonghyuk’s hand with a gentle yet steady grip, assessing the injuries. The passage described lots of cuts of varying sizes, a few thorns that were splintered into his skin from the monsters along his leg, and a few bruises from some harsh collisions, among other things.
A few minutes later, Kim Dokja found himself reading through paragraph upon paragraph of highly detailed descriptions of Lee Seolhwa’s healing procedures, almost like she was walking the reader— him— through the process of dressing and treating the wounds. Though Kim Dokja was far more interested in the chemistry between her and Yoo Joonghyuk as they made small talk with each other.
And thats all! sorry for replying late my laptop kinda broke- I hope you like it! (Gahhhh this is way too long!)
Original Post Rules: “WIP Tag Game: Rules: In a new post, list the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have WIPs.”
Hm. Uh.... I don't think I have as many people to tag as I do WIPs so I shall see XD
- And When the Gods Weep
- And So the Phoenix Rose
- Blank Pages
- A Twisted World
- The Worst Game Show Ever
- If I Should Die
- An Ode to the Soulmate
- Repeating (For Years to Come)
- The Caged Bird Sings
- Seismic Tremors
- Trouvaille
- We Are Living Echoes
- Remnants of a Bitter Life
- For Healing and Homes
- Who the hell likes living just to die?
- Lying liar
...So that comes in at 16 WIPs. Time to see if I have enough people to tag in the first place XD
@arrowheadedbitch @quackery-binx @the-autistic-spider @wandering-tides @misakisakuya @eryhenituse @jslmasaysmoneyisbest @darliiinqq @xarlutye @venus-dawnstar @blueteller @calethescammer @murasaki-cha @records-of-a-slacker @echoelena-ing @jaded-ghoster
That's enough people off the top of my head! Feel free to ignore this post if I tagged you :)

Spoilers for Chain of Thorns
Christopher might be alive
I saw a post a few days ago arguing very convincingly why Christopher might actually be alive and I wanted to add some arguments to it, but can't find it anymore. So I'm now making my own post about this. If you are more talented than me in finding this post, please tag whoever wrote it in the comments. Thank you.
Little disclaimer: I didn't look anything up in the books, because I don't have them with me. So there might be something I don't remember correctly. Please point that out in the comments if this is the case.
So, as stated, I believe that Christopher might not have died (at least not fully*) by the poison from Tatiana's dagger. Here are some arguments why I think so.
*He could have become a vampire after his death, as mentioned in said post I can't find anymore. The author of the post wrote that vampire blood could have been part of the poison, causing Christopher to go to the nearest vampire clan and get bitten by them.
Christopher's appearance in the whole book series: He is the main character with the least POVs (does he even have one?) and "screen time", even though he is a main character. That might indicate that he could become important in future books like TWP or the book about Matthew, to make the screen time more even. He also has almost no character development because his character is already good as it is. This might change or get more attention in a future book.
Christopher's appearance to Grace in the laboratory 1: First of all how random, that no other character in all of Cassie's books ever had an appearance like this even in way more challenging situations. Could this actually happen? Secondly, in this scene, Christopher asks Grace not to turn around to see him. Why would he do that if he was only a ghost or not even visible. I mean that would be the first thing I would expect to see if someone, who I think is dead, starts talking to me. Grace wouldn't be scared by that. But if he was actually alive or in a very... uh... unpretty condition... like for example that he somehow turned into a downworlder (vampire) and looks rather bloody, that could scare Grace, especially since she thinks he would be dead. So he warns her not to turn around. Now you might say: But the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice that was addressed by Grace, wouldn't that be the reason? That is just what Grace thinks of at that moment, but not the reason Christopher gives. Of I remember correctly, he gives no reason, just says "Don't turn around", and Grace listens.
Laboratory scene Part 2 - Orpheus and Eurydice parallel: As mentioned above, Grace thinks of this myth when she encounters Christmas in the laboratory. In the myth Orpheus basically tries to bring his beloved wife (?) Eurydice back from the dead. He manages to convince her soul to follow him out of the Underworld, but he has to promise her not to turn around until they manage to escape. Almost out of the Land of the Dead, Orpheus gets too noisy and turns around. So, he fails and Eurydice has to stay dead in the Underworld. But opposing to this myth Grace doesn't turn around to look at Christopher, which, according to that myth would mean that she brought him back from the dead successfully.
Cassie's theories before the book was published: If I remember correctly Cassie gave us three statements about what would happen in COT, two of them being true. I think it was something with Belial and flying over London as a bird (true), one of the main characters dying (true?) and one of then turning into a downworlder (wrong?). While everyone at the time thought that was about Matthew, it now applies to Christopher. Why would she choose the downworlder theory, if she didn't actually think about making one of her characters one. And we know Cassie. She always has some surprise fir us, especially when a character like Christopher just randomly dies.
Motive for his death: There is none. While everyone else who dies, dies for a reason, Christopher's death seems so random and even at the end of the book, you won't find out why he died. This means that we probably get at least another mention of Christopher somewhere, to explain why he had to die.
Immortality as a vampire: As mentioned above, another mention or appearance of Christopher and Grace seems likely to me. But four of the five books we know about that Cassie will publish in the future, play a century later. So, to appear in them, Christopher and Grace must either invent time travel or become immortal. All the Harry Potter fans know what a mess happens when you add time travelling to a story. And I TWP there's also Thule and the Faerie Lands as different worlds, so that would just get to confusing. Therefore my guess is that if they actually appear, they would be immortal. The only way to become immortal as a Shadowhunter is to be bitten by a vampire. So, Christopher could have been bitten by a vampire, while "dead" and unattended and after months of struggles, came back to Grace. Grace, having nothing to lose, chooses to join Christopher and lets him bite her as well. If they tell their friends or not, is actually not quite important, but like this they could appear for example in TWP, to give the main characters some advice or help them with something. I mean, in a Grande Finale of a universe, the help of two science obsessed, former Shadowhunter vampires might be great.
Nobody is dealing with the aftermath: No funeral, no great remembering of Christopher, nothing. This might indicate that something happened that made it unnecessary for this to happen. Like, you know, Christopher actually being alive.
Here are also arguments I can think of, that would make it less likely for Christopher to be alive:
He's dead. Very dead. Anna literally said it. (But on the other hand, medical knowledge back then was not as good as it is today and they all were super shocked. They might have missed a sign that he was actually alive.)
Why would Cassie do that to us? (She did it with Livvy. Why not again? Just a little less destructive.)
I can't think if any other reasons right now, but if you have more arguments for this or even against it, please leave them in the comments or repost this. I will add the arguments here if you want to.
What do you think? Could Christopher actually be alive? Or is that impossible?

INKTOBER 2021 — WRITING VERSION —
DAY FIVE: WINGS
Crow!Jumin Han & Ghost!Male Reader oneshot
Genre/Tag: TW!Death, TW! Starvation, Supernatural, Angst, & Fluff
Author's note: Hello! It's neom 🐾. I know it's been a while since my first story, but I'm still willing to finish this Inktober even if it's not in synch with the actual Inktober timeline. With all that said, if you want, please do leave feedback!
The world is full of tragedy and morbidity as it was full of fortune and life. Not everyone is lucky and not everyone is unlucky. The only thing that is sure everyone will experience eventually, is death.
It does not matter what your background is, because death chooses no one. Death just happens even if one showed life how worthy they are to live longer.
"Hello there. Why are you crying?" A small fifteen year old boy approaches you, a fourteen year old boy who is sitting on a bench in the middle of the night inside a quite city.
"I lost my kitty... and now... I do not know where my house is!" You sobbed while desperately trying to wipe off your own tears.
"So you are lost?" The fifteen year old boy asks while sitting down next to the you who just nodded confirming that you were indeed lost. "For how long do you think?"
"I do not know!" You exclaimed.
The fifteen year old boy sighed before introducing himself. "My name is Jumin, what is yours?"
"[[Y/N]]..." You utter quietly whilst confused to why he suddenly introduced himself.
"What a wonderful name you have there. Someone as cute as you definitely have a cute smile." Jumin tried to cheer you up.
"Is there any reason for me to smile?" You innocently asked Jumin while looking at him properly for the first time. That's when you noticed. "Wow! You have wings?"
"Yeah. You see, I'm a crow." Jumin explained even though it just made you even more confused.
"Then, why don't you look like a crow? Where is your beak?" You ask trying to understand what he really is.
"Well, some people see me as a full crow while others see me in an in-between form. In simpler words, you see me in a half-half form. A mix of a crow and a human." Jumin effectively explain.
"But why do I see you in this form and not the other?" You ask while slowly forgetting you were crying a few seconds ago. Jumin finds that adorable as it was peculiar. From a crying mess, you quickly became a curious cat. It's such a fast change that it almost gave him a whiplash.
But it does makes him sad that you haven't realized it yet. Before he saw you, he saw your lifeless body thin and fragile. He concluded that you starved to death. After finding your body, he quickly searched for your soul. Which he is now conversing with.
You see, people who are alive sees him as a crow while the dead or any creatures in the afterlife or in-between sees him as a human with dark black wings.
"It's because you're special." Jumin lied not wanting to make you go back to crying.
Jumin is a young crow who has his own death he follows. Deaths are creatures who guide lost souls to the afterlife. Crows are their helpful companions who help search for the lost souls to be guided. Jumin is currently being trained, and now he is waiting for his busy master. The one who should tell you about your situation.
In the meantime, he should calm you down.
"I am?" You innocently asked the dark haired boy.
"Yup, now want to search for your kitten again?" Jumin doesn't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. He saw a lifeless kitten who looked thin and fragile. It probably also straved to death. He doesn't know if it's yours though. If it is, then its soul is just around the area.
"You'll help me?"
"Of course, what does it looks like?"
"She's a siamese cat with a red collar! The collar has the name Stellar written on it."
So it definitely was yours. Jumin recalled all the features he saw of that cat. What a beautiful tragedy that it died. Now both of you can be together again.
"I think I saw Stellar around here. Shall we go?"
"Really?!" You finally smiled.
Jumin smiled before holding your hand. "Yup! You'll finally see each other again."

Thank you for the tag @godofdiverseinterests! I always feel so important.
Are you named after someone? Nope! Not as far as I know. My middle name is my aunt's name though, and that's because I look a lot like my aunt.
When was the last time you cried? Saturday. I'm an emotional person. I cry less around my family, though, and people I don't trust because I don't want them asking questions or thinking I'm weak. I only cry around my boyfriend because he holds no judgements of me and knows that's the kind of person I am, especially with what I have to hide.
Do you have kids? Heck no! I like being alive too much to risk that. I also have to go through lots more therapy before I'm emotionally ready for kids.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? No. I prefer being straight about how I feel. I will occasionally use sarcasm when teasing a friend, but that's it. I'm told I have dry humour though.
What is the first thing you notice about people? General appearance mostly. And gender for personal reasons. If we actually attempt at interacting, the vibe I get is what I notice next.
Eye colour? A weird brown. Like, I think my grandmother described it as chesnut, but it has small tints of grey and green from my own dead family members who had abnormal eye colours. And the black around the colour is super dark so the brown stands out more.
Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings! Scary movies give me nightmares.
Any special talents? I've always had a talent for writing even at a young age. I guess learning fast and memorising things the moment I see it, at least academically, could also be a special talent. I don't think I've ever been given the freedom of trying anything else I was interested in.
Where were you born? America. I apologise on behalf of all the Americans who thinking hating and killing people for being different/for things they can't control is okay. They deserve punishment and death and they aren't real Americans.
What are your hobbies? I write, crochet, read, and plan things. Planning calms me down because it makes me feel in control.
Do you have any pets? I have two cats who I live with and one dog that lives with my grandmother. I think she, my dog, can sense I'm not a dog person and likes me the least out of everyone in the family.
How tall are you? I am now 4' 11"! It took me forever to get here!
What sports do you play/have played? When I was younger, I played basketball with my older brother until I discovered books that weren't religious/the actual Bible. My grandmother is a super religious Christian. I was lucky to find her kids' books from when they were younger.
Favourite subject at school? I adored Psychology, Anatomy, and Forensic Science when I was in high school. I've always had a thing for minds and bodies.
Dream job? Being a published author. That's been my dream since I hit 10th grade or so. I used to want to be in a band, but I lost motivation after my family kept shooting down my hopes. And then I want to crochet on the side to have some extra cash when I need it. If things go the way I plan, which I doubt they will, I'll have an Etsy shop up sooner or later that will help me earn money faster for things I need.
I hope it's okay to tag @writingmyselfintoanearlygrave, @nanasway, @howboutjusttrash, @pixel-is-writing, and @djmunden.
15 for 15 tag
Thanks @nobodywritesstuff for tagging me!
Are you named after someone? Nope. Not really. My real name is pretty common. James is a pseudonym, btw. My pseudonym is named after someone though. I chose the pseudonym way back in 2011. After seeing Iron Man 1 for the first time, I was obsessed with the surname Stark. And James is just a name I like. I toyed with Eric Preach as a pseudonym for a while. Didn’t like it. Went back to this.
When was the last time you cried? Uh, this is pretty embarrassing but the last time I cried was two weeks ago, watching a How I Met Your Mother episode and nostalgia just gave me all the right feels. Cried for like ten straight minutes.
Do you have kids? No. And I don’t plan to anytime soon. It’s not that I hate kids but tbh, they are very annoying. I have like three different cousins all under the age of five though and I can tell you they are a fucking handful every single time they come over.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes. And self-deprecating humor too.
What is the first thing you notice about people? Height, body features, eye color. I won’t lie. If you’re a guy, I’m probably checking you out.
What’s your eye color? Boring black.
Scary movies or happy endings? Both. Happy endings make me mushy inside and scary movies are just plain fun.
Any special talents? Uh, I sing pretty well. I used to be able to sustain very high notes but puberty is a bitch. I am also very good at chess, if that’s a talent. And I sew pretty good too. But only small stuff. I can make a sock with enough time. A sweater or something would drive me mad.
Where were you born? India.
What are your hobbies? Writing, reading, watching movies and shows, playing video games, singing, doing jigsaws and walking.
Do you have any pets? Uh, sad answer incoming. Not anymore. My dog (he was ten at the time) died three months ago from diabetes.
How tall are you? 5′11.
What sports do you play/have played? I played basketball for like a year. Loved it but just never had the time so had to give it up. I played badminton for two years. Was okay at it but didn’t interest me too much. I mostly just play chess now.
Favorite subject at school? English Lit and History.
Dream job? Long winded answer incoming. Never really thought about it, honestly. It might sound strange but I just never have. I like living in the moment. But, there are a few appealing options. I wanted to be a historian for a few years, then a journalist sometime in between and even a translator at some embassy or something like two years ago. At this point, I’m honestly not sure what my dream job would be. However, if you ask me what my life looks like in ten years, there are two wildly different points I’m on. A) Either I own some old Victorian castle and live with a lot of pets, (I’m one of those rare cat and dog people) and I spend my nights sitting in a cozy, comfy chair by a warm fireplace, a glass of some good wine in hand and a great book, surrounded by cats and dogs at my feet. In this scenario I also have a boyfriend. Or B) I’m a writer, scraping by writing for a magazine or a paper while working on my masterpiece of a novel and living in my small but cozy apartment with my one dog/cat and that’s it.
I’ll tag (and you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to): @jess—writes @writingwithteacups @grimmwrites @lilac-written @three-seas-writes @cogwrites @riverlinden @iwritethemworlds @hell-yeah-fantasy @the-real-rg @writersloth @godofdiverseinterests @leo-november @hepiit @andiiwrites @yourwritingisgay
