Rewatching The Boys and Ashley and The Deep are my favorite fucking duo. Sure they’re morally reprehensible people but they are literally just the saddest wet cats in Vought towers and I love them.

I need more background for Ashley. Sometimes I don't understand if she's an ambitious corporate bitch or just someone who's so caught up in this job.

Not even in her most despicable moments I truly hated her. The actress does an amazing job

I just had the best dream about this show and I'm so fucking Pissed it's not real. Please just read this if you have the time:

Some stuff might not make sense but I clarify some things at the end.

In this dream, you can willingly give someone else your powers through physical contact. It has to be intentional.

Hughie was about to get hit by a truck so A-train pushed him out of the way and, in that split second, decided to give Hughie his powers (thinking he deserved them more) (this is after A-train's fallout with his brother). So now Hughie has super speed and A-train is just a human.

Ashley saw this happen and went to tell Homelander. Ashley, not understanding the situation, thought that A-train died during this process so that's what she tells Homelander.

Homelander is actually upset that A-train is dead (kind of like him with Black Noir. He secretly cared for all supes in my dream). So he goes after Hughie.

Eventually, he does find Hughie in a large shopping mall (like an abandoned Walmart) and he's with A-train and Butcher. Homelander is ready to attack Hughie but Butcher gets in his path. So we have a standoff:

Butcher is blocking Homelander from attacking Hughie and A-train is blocking Butcher from attacking Homelander. A-train knows Homelander won't attack him because he was once a supe and still cares about him to some degree.

With Hughie in the back and feeling helpless, he teleports behind A-Train to face off with Homelander (in my dream he kept switching from teleportation to super speed).

Now that he knows A-train isn't dead, Homelander can fully grasp the fact that Hughie is a supe now, and so he doesn't attack him. As I said, he has this irrational, conditional appreciation for all supes in my dream.

So we have Homelander, A-Train, and the rest of The Boys (Annie included) in this mall when, all of a sudden, Vought soldiers come out of nowhere.

Everyone starts fighting until that black substance starts coming out of Hughie's nose (like Butcher in the season 3 finale). Homelander sees Hughie fall and yells at Butcher that he needs Compound V (real compound V) to stay alive. Butcher, already getting the blue vial before Homelander even said anything, injects it into Hughie.

Hughie now has permanent super speed and teleportation powers and, I kid you not, the dream ended with Hughie walking back into the fight in slow motion with this look in his eye that says giving him that Compound V was a mistake.

For clarification:

While Homelander cares for supes in my dream, he still won't hesitate to kill one if they step out of line. He still wants his perfect supe army to be perfect. He only 'cares' for Hughie because he's a supe now which is why he wants him to take the real Compound V; so he can live and have another supe ally.

Homelander and Butcher working together to save Hughie was kinda like how they worked together for Ryan in the season 3 finale.

Giving Hughie Compound V so he permanently has two powers jump-started his corruption arc so fucking fast-

I'm fully aware that none of this will ever happen and I will be forever pissed off.

As we're starting to see, Homelander wants to pit supes and humans against each other. Although we have a good handful of supes already, he's gonna need more. I assume he'll pick those who are close to him and/or those who share his ideals. If he does start experimenting with Compound V on humans, here are likely the first batch of candidates:

Ashley

Ashley is the closest human to Homelander right now. To his knowledge, she hasn't gone against him since he showed her what will happen if she does. (We know she has but he doesn't know). I figure she'll hesitate at first but she'll comply if it's a direct order from Homelander. I wonder how she'll act with powers though (will she continue her redemption arc or will she get worse).

Todd

This bitch will willingly volunteer to take Compound V in a heartbeat for Homelander. Homelander may or may not remember how Todd was the one who initiated the applause in the season 3 finale when he lasered that one guy.

Monique and/or Janine

If Compound V works for Todd (that fucker), he'll likely try to convince Monique and Janine to take it. Saying something along the lines of "I trusted Homelander and look! He made me stronger! He'll make you stronger, too!" I actually wouldn't be surprised if Compound V killed Monique. It would show Janine that not all supes can be trusted (like M.M. was telling her) and it'll prevent her from trying Compound V and possibly dying as well.

Hughie

If you follow me you knew this was coming but here me out!

Homelander doesn't know a lot of humans (personally at least). Of the humans he does know, he doesn't know which of them would be most likely to handle Compound V without dying. But he's seen Hughie with powers. He's seen him in control of his powers. If the writers are going the route of Hughie not dying from taking lethal doses of Temp V like Butcher, this could be the reason. Also, Homelander has yet to come after Hughie after saying he would to Starlight.
