OH BOY--

Iris started out as Eobard's ideal woman because of her role as Barry's wife, but he's also quite a fan of her work...he's always treasured his copy of Barry's biography, even if he's seen to it that it's become badly outdated. The intimacy and insight she revealed in that work played a large role in his infatuation with both her and Barry.

Iris is one of the few 'mere mortals' that Eobard finds worth the trouble of slowing down for. He usually finds matching his pace to a more mundane frame of reference tedious in the extreme, but Iris' lively (if, in his case, often combative) personality is more than fascinating enough to make up for it.

Unfortunately for Iris, there's nothing sexier to this poor deranged rat of a man than the demonstrable ability to kill him. He thought it was hot when she was just brandishing a gun in his face.

If Iris let him, Eobard would lavish her with gifts. And not just any old gifts...he would raid ancient Babylon and Atlantis, burglarize the crown jewels of a hundred kingdoms, bring her gowns from every era and lay them at her feet. Iris, however, would take to such offerings very poorly and he knows it.

Eobard reacts oddly well to praise, and Iris discovers and exploits this very quickly. She knows that a few murmured words of praise can quickly reduce him to an eager mess, and she exploits it...especially when she's tired of hearing him talk. The man never shuts up.

Cuddling! Iris likes physical affection, and it's a good thing, too--once he's allowed to hold her, Eobard quickly shows a tendency to cling to her like a drowning man finding a life raft. He likes to hold her so tight that she has to remind him that one of them actually needs to breathe and isn't just doing it out of habit.

“Stop being dramatic-” Phobetor sighs as he continues on with his work, not even looking up from his desk as the pesky burglar deity had made his presence known, having become far too used to him appearing every now and then, usually when he is far too busy to humour him and for some utterly foolish reason.  

He glances up only momentarily, to make sure the mummy-god didn’t truly have a limb hanging off that lovely meat suit of his, own to be caught by surprise at the sigh of Osiris handcuffed, once more, to himself. “What-” he mutters before his eyes narrow with accusation and he lowers his pen. “Have you been snooping in the store room again?” He snaps, Osiris’ curiosity in something he apparently has no interest in truly does astound. 

“I am not letting you out again” Phobetor replies with a wave of his hand before his eyes lower to his paperwork once more and he collects up his pen, set to ignore the god. He should have kept him tied to one of Babylon’s beds the first time he found him in such a predicament, it would have caused him a lot less strife!

Situated in Night Babylon, Central City, Club Rouge began as a reasonably quiet bar frequented by crooks looking for a spot of cover & people who loved the thrill & freedom of unregulated gambling. For Rouge, it was a place where she could easily meet with fences willing to buy riskier goods as she progressed from small-time shoplifter to methodical burglar. She became a regular attendee & player, often losing her reward money at the tables in the same night she earned it. Her name & face became well known to the staff & owners as well as other patrons as time passed & she settled into criminal life.

It was her bad habit that landed her with the chance to make the place her own; strapped for cash but hooked on the game well past closing hours, she bet the string of diamonds around her neck. Pressed to match her gall & full of liquor, the barkeep threw in the only thing he owned with worth like that: the deed to his bar, the key to his business. She had no qualms with playing dirty & the ( almost literal ) ace up her sleeve won her an opportunity the likes of which she’d never had before.

For a couple of good years, it was the base of her operations & a source of revenue, information & contacts. It was also the place she called home, despite her tendencies to wander & stay wherever she happened to find herself. With its popularity & income growing, she added her flair, a touch of glamour to the run-down bar at last; lights, games, drink, music --- an Eden for the city’s sinners. Maybe this boldness & lack of discretion in expanding on her enterprise had a role to play in her eventual downfall.

Nothing lasts forever & maybe she was convinced of the opposite, but crime doesn’t pay. Club Rouge & the small fortune it earned her were just another thing to lose when her hot streak came to a sobering halt at the hands of the authorities.

PRESENT.

A fully licensed bar & adult arcade. It retains it’s flashy appearance & neon signs, but now you’re more likely to find a pinball table than a poker one in this aging club. There’s been some considerable downsizing since its heyday, both for legal & monetary reasons. Rouge had her assets seized by her new ‘allies’, her business venture included, & understandably, a government body has little interest in paying through the nose to make a legitimate casino out of a sleazy gambling den. As a result, Club Rouge could no longer offer its long term patrons a haven for anonymous betting & gambling. Criminals who once networked within the safety of its walls won’t step foot near the place, rumours of a set up by a reformed thief, of a government snitch & her traps spreading like disease. But at the same time, its sinister reputation still hangs over it, a curse which won’t be dead & buried for years to come; it hasn’t found popularity with the city’s regular club-goers either. The club’s profits have dried up along with its clientele, but it brings in enough to keep itself stocked & the taxman away.

Her name remains on the deed & it’s a familiar place to rest her head should she need it, but Rouge handed over the reigns of management when she accepted her role as an agent, as per her agreement with G.U.N.
