Something not-Vivziepop related, wow, lol, but I've been getting back into the Redwall series, and Mariel is absolutely iconic, so I decided to try drawing her and her trusty Gullwhacker ^^

listen.... in Mariel’s defense re: threatening Redwallers with Gullwhacker, the FIRST thing that happened to her in the abbey was being scratched in the face by Treerose and the SECOND thing was being pinned down and forced into a bath against her will

Dandin: we’re creatures of peace!

Mariel: you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

“Why don’t you walk more ladylike?” Dandin asked with a playful tone. He put his footpaws in front of one-another with an extremely exaggerated sway to his hips. “Looks completely functional to me, yeah?”

“Dandin...” Mariel couldn’t help but laugh as it looked like her mousefriend could barely keep his balance. “if you got whacked walking like that, you’ll fall right over.” She pointed to Gullwhacker as Dandin kept going. “And I’m not afraid to try that thought out.”

@eulaliaaaaaa‘s Redwall Fic Month inspired me to draw some Redwall again, so here’s my mousemaid shero, Mariel! She’s always been one of my favorite characters and Mariel of Redwall is a book I keep coming back to over and over.
