HIGHWAY TO HELL: RUN BOY RUN ⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ ⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ ⁺˚⋆
NOTES: AU, GLIDED ACADEMY, RUTH IS MY FAVORITE, FIVE HAGREEVES IS A ASSHOLE, RUTH MEETS HIM AGAIN, THEY ARE LITTERALLY THE SAME PERSON, OFFHAND FLIRTING? (its like one or two comments), RUTH INSULTS EVERYONE, SHE MEETS KLAUS AGAIN, SHE DOESN’T MENTION HER POWERS, FIVE IS SUSPICOUS, BLOOD AND GORE WARNING, MENTIONS TOWARDS AUTISTIC TENDENICS, RUTH HAS AUTISM, FOLLOWS THE ORGINAL PLOT OF TUA BUT WITH SLIGHT LORE CHANGES, RUTH HAS ACOHOL PROBLEMS, LEWD JOKES, KLAUS BEING NICE TO RUTH. KLAUS AND RUTH HAVE A LITTLE ‘LUNCH DATE’ AND TALK.
Ruth grunted and whined when her portal abilties were still offline. No matter how many times she tried to create a portal, it didn’t work. She was currently sitting on the couch in the longue or living room.
“Oh..” A familar, tired and yet sober voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
Ruth flipped her position up on the couch so she could see. It was Noel, and she had a suitcase with her. She frowned slightly before noticing Ruth.
“One day late to the party, Noel.” The teenage looking girl quiped as she shuffled around on the couch.
Another small sound raidated from the zombie looking girl. She looked utterly exhausted. Her long white hair was in a low ponytail but still looked ratted. She obviously wasn’t taking good care of herself.
Her frame was inceribly scrawny, bones. And the other more human looking girl squinted and scowled at all the bandages on her. Some looked old but some looked more new.
“What’s up with all the bandages?” She decided to be blunt.
The girl with the large sweater on only scowled before grimnacing slightly. It was a rytheorical question, one the younger looking girl already knew the answer to. But she knew that Noel wouldn’t answer.
“Did..did the others already leav-?” They started, coming a little further into the room as their eyes focused on her.
“Leave? No. Well, not that I know of. Violet, and Celeste aren’t here. I didn’t even think you would show up.” She answered before trailing off slightly.
An akward silence greeted the two techincal siblings. Ruth and Noel never talked much as children. Or even when they decided to go their sepreate ways and move out. Being back in the academy brought on a almost..painful..nostaglia.
The idea that most of glided academies childhood was lived in shadowed innocence. They all had time to have memories and bound with one another.
Ruth and Noel’s only memories of ‘bonding’ was when Ruth would help her with panic attacks and injuries.
“Who said I wasn’t here?” A quiet yet teasing voice asked.
Both the tan skinned girl and Noel nearly jumped out of their positions and skin. In the very doorway and barely in the room was Violet Pirce. She had a nice smile but teasing as she mainly looked at Ruth.
“Oh my god! Violet- what the fuck!” The amber eyed girl blinked a couple times before groaning.
Violet was a shy and angel looking girl. Her blue eyes were light and yet dull. They crinkled up, revealing red marks under her eyes. She was wearing a blue, almost dress fitting top with lace detailing and long sleeves.
She also had dark blue washed out jeans over her lower legs. They sunk slightly underneath her shoes but no one said anything.
Her blonde hair was in it’s natural braided bun state.
“I mean, I just got here, but still-!” Violet rambled slightly before rolling her eyes with drama.
She entered the room further, her own suitcase being dragged behind her. The girl on the couch only adjusted her posture and frame before looking at the two people with a deadpan, mouth turned to the side.
“Next thing I know, Celeste is going to waltz through the door.” She sarcasitcally said before scoffing and leaning back.
Violet only cringed slightly at the name of the only missing sister. Not to mention, their number one.
“Do..do you really think she’s gonna’ show up?” Noel decided to ask, tilting his head slightly.
Ruth only groaned before smoothly lifting her posture and getting off the couch. She took a few steps near the fireplace before placing her hands in her blazer pockets.
“Obviously not. Celeste isn’t showing up. She never will.” She spat, annoyance clear in her voice before brushing shoulders with Violet and walking past them and towards the door.
“Your leaving again?” Violet asked, blue eyes watching as the pink haired girl was by the door.
No response. Just the sound of the door shutting behind her. The blonde haired girl sighed before turning towards the white-nette.
“Seems like she’s still moody as ever..” She quietly said, weakely laughing afterwards.
The green eyed sibling only made a almost offended expression. His eyebrows were furrowed and his facical features were scrunched up. This made the other blink before furrowing her own eyebrows.
“What? Did I say something?” She tilted her head as she took a step closer.
“Did you really have to mention Celeste?” She quietly asked in return.
Violet only made a baffled expression as she furrowed her eyebrows further. Was it really her fault? Had she messed up? But didn’t Ruth bring up the topic of Celeste first?
“It’s not my fault, Noe’-!” She tried to start, but cringing at her wording.
“Don’t call me that.” She was quickly shut down by Noel, the said woman shooting her another glance before shaking her head and walking away.
Her suitcase came with her intow, making a clacking noise. She made creaking noises as she also walked up the stairs, presumming to unpack.
The now left alone girl scowled and bit her bottom lip. A feeling of both annoyance and longing built up in her. Why couldn’t she just get along with people? Even Ruth, who she was aleast somewhat close to didn’t want anything to do with her.
She looked down at her shoes as her hands clentched into fists. She could feel herself flick in and out of being visible, before turning invisible.
No one wanted to see her in the first place.
Ruth sighed before walking past a large building. It was Meritech, she really wasn’t paying attention. It was rather sunny out, but not uncomfortable. Some people shot her looks and she only furrowed her eyebrows at them.
But she immeditally felt her breath lurch as she saw a familar figure. Brown hair, emerled eyes and uniform. Holy shit, it was him.
He had a annoyed scowl on his face, and he clutched something in his hand. His eyes were infront of him and flicked around before landing on Ruth.
She felt her heart stop and she cringed immensly. She immeditally whipped around before walking away quickly, borderline jogging. She couldn’t just walk towards him, and using her abillity would cause another whole layer of shit.
She cringed as she heard voices whisper, was he seriously following her?! She hurried her pace, turning into a alleyway. Somewhere out of place where she could use her portals, if they agreed to work.
A faint woosh sound was heard infront of her and a flash of blue light. She stummbled back slightly and blinked multiple times.
“Hey, school girl.” A sarcastic, and annoyed voice was heard.
Ruth had to bite back the urge to groan. There he was in all his glory, the male with brown hair narrowed his eyes at her.
“Oh, it’s you.” She made sure to add some spite onto that last word.
Her hands shoved and clentched tightly into her blazer pockets. She glanced at the male as he rolled something in his right hand inbetween his fingers. Speaking of, he had really nice hands-
‘Focus Ruth’
“Yeah. Now-!” He smiled sarcastically before vanishing with a faint sound.
The amber eyed female blinked hard before looking around. She had observed his powers the other day, but didn’t get enough time to really adjust.
She made a ‘ack!’ sound as her collar was grabbed and she was forced aganist the alleywall. He was slightly taller then her, so her collar was lifted slightly.
“Why didn’t you report me to the police? I can’t help but find that odd.” He inquired, green eyes narrowed carefully as his hands tightened even further.
She only scoffed slightly, one eye shut from the pressure on her collar. Her eyes flicked across his face before she flashed a quick and annoyed smile.
“Yeah, run to the police..don’t be stupid..reporting a teenage boy in schoolboy shorts who probably murdered over ten or more people in the middle of a donut shop..sounds a little insane…” She scoffed before manging to shove him off of her.
She wrapped her fingers around her throat and collar slightly. She brushed off her blazer and adjusted her blazer and tie before looking at him.
“Plus, I have no dobut that the police has already investagiated it. They probably already started a case.” She added on before scowling and rubbing her tired eyes.
The boy only made a noise simaliar to a grunt. She wasn’t sure if he understood her point or not, but she didn’t say anything else.
“Glided academy, huh? What’s that?” Ruth tensed up at the question.
Shit. He didn’t know about her powers, obviously. And defentily not the ‘academy’ she belonged to. And the fact that he was part of the umbrella academy was even worse.
“A private academy. You wouldn’t know about it.” She quickly said, holding her breath slightly.
He only hummed again, squinting his eyes at her. She wasn’t sure if he believed it or not, but it was good enough to believe that he bought it. But something was strange.
Five Hargreeves was an asshole.
Her childhood crush was an asshole.
Surprsingly, in the few glimpses of the umbrella academy kid comics and magienzenes her and her siblings read, he didn’t seem like a asshole. At least, not from the small little ‘profile’ bits they had on their pictures and pages.
“Well, I can’t just have you walking around with that. And in all honesty, your kind of shady.” He said before adimitting with a head tilt and his hands shoved into his pockets.
“Excuse me?!” Ruth blinked a couple times before scowling slightly at his ‘observation.’
“Your excused.” He bitterly smiled before dropping it and taking his left hand out of his pocket and rubbing his temple.
She only scowled deeper, feeling her hands tighten in her pockets. But what he said next, almost made her shit her pants.
“Your coming with me.” He bluntly said, while looking at her with a bland expression.
The girl blinked a couple times yet again before recoiling. What the hell?! She didn’t want to hang out with this teenage boy who looked to be a godamn serial killer!
“Uh, no.” She deadpanned and spoke with a bland yet strict tone of voice.
He only raised his eyebrows and tilted his head slightly. She honestly wanted to snap his neck right then and there.
“I don’t recall saying it as a question.” He pondered.
She only took a couple steps back before crossing her arms. Five Hargreeves was being a total entilted brat. Where did he get that attitude from? From being in a world famous academy?!
She hated to break it to him, but he wasn’t the only kid with powers in this world. And not in NYC either.
“I don’t care, find someone else to bother.” She hissed before getting ready to turn around and leave.
But she was surprised by a hand being placed on her lower arm, near her wrist. She turned around and saw him holding her wrist before grabbing her tightly. And just like that, a bright blue worble of light incircled them.
Ruth and Five appeared in what seemed to be a room. It had a bed, bland green walls with what looked like faded calculations. Whoever lived in here, they had no sense of style.
Ruth immeditally peeled away from him and held her stomach. A feeling simaliar to being pulled through a collapsing portal filled her throat and stomach. She surely thought she was about to throw up.
“What the fuckkkk’..” She groaned out, stummbling some more before finally ground herself.
The green eyed male only watched her with a unimpressed expression on his face. When she finally stopped stummbling around like a drunk person, she came face to face with him. Her left hand was rubbing her temple, she scowled at him.
“What the hell did you do?!” She angrily asked, only making him snort slightly in amusement.
“Spacical jumped us to my room, in the umbrella academies resting place.” He looked at her like she was stupid.
“What the hell is wrong with y-!”
She was shut up by the male rolling his eyes and sighing before dissapering in a flash of blue light again. She scowled, crossing her arms before immeditally blinking when he was suddenly infront of her face.
Her arms fell loosely to her sides and she could feel her tan face heat up slightly. Although, she didn’t think he noticed. But he wasn’t too close, just enough where she could get a better look at his green eyes.
“Listen to me. My sister is going to come in here wondering where I am, and why I left. Just don’t say anything dumb. Matter of fact, don’t say anything at all.” He demanded in a low and serious tone of voice.
The amber eyed girl felt her eye twitch multiple times. She didn’t like to be treated like she was stupid. She was pretty sure her observation skills and knowledge was at least on par with this asshole.
She didn’t say anything though, because as soon as a familar figure stummbled into what she assume to be Five’s room, she was confused. It was a guy she reconqized- oh holy shit, fuck her, it was the guy from the pawn shop.
“Five-oh! It’s you!” He started finally getting his barings, before whipping towards the pink haired girl.
His eyes looked at it, murky. He was clearly on something, unsurprising due to the question she asked him the other day. Her own eyes flicked across his frame, she had to bite back a cringe.
“Wait, wait, you two know each other?” Five leaned forward with his hands in his pockets, a confused yet curious expression on his face.
“We met yesterday.” The girl blurted out.
“-At the pawn shop! Honestly, I didn’t expect Five to find you. Speaking of, what are the terms for this job you asked me for Fiv-!” He added on before rambling.
But before he could contuine, a faint voice calling the said teenager’s name made everyone tense up. It looked like the brown haired male panicked slightly before hissing at the drug addict;
“Hurry! Get in the closet!” He hissed, making a quick motion.
Ruth blinked, baffled as Klaus whined a little but his younger looking brother just shoved him in there. He turned to her, fixing his blazer before tilting his head.
“Five? Are you upstairs?” The same tired and sad sounding voice called.
The pink haired girl felt a pang in her chest as she heard the voice. Why? Was it because she sounded like Noel?
She tensed up as the person calling out entered the room. She had straight, but soft looking dark hair. It was up in a bun, and her features looked completly exhausted. She was wearing a big jacket ontop of a collared shirt and pants. It also seemed like she was carrying something on her back.
She sighed, eyes focused on the male.
“Oh thank god, I was worried sick about you.” She breathed out, concern in her voice.
Five simply glanced at her, looking away from the tan skinned girl and window. His hands were in his pockets as he looked over his shoulder.
“Sorry I left without saying goodbye..” He said, his voice sounding lower and softer.
The woman only frowned but her eyes shifted over to amber ones. She jolted slightly, surprised she didn’t notice her earlier. Her eyebrows furrowed and she looked towards her brother in confusion.
“Oh right, This is Vanya. Vanya, meet…?” He just now relized he had basically kidnapped the girl and didn’t even get her name.
She scowled before crossing her arms on her chest.
“Ruth. Ruth Pirce.” She simply said, finishing off his sentence.
It looked like Five raised his eyebrows at the name. He also looked like he was going to say something else, but halted it. What? Was he judging her name? Like his was any better! He was litterally named after a number!
And something else was bothering her. In all of the TV and glimpses she had gotten of the umbrella academy, she had only counted six members. She never recalled there being a seventh.
The tired looking woman only flashed a smile before dropping it when she looked back at her brother.
“No, look, I’m the one that should be sorry. Yeah, I was dissmissive..and..I..I guess I didn’t know how to process what you were saying..I still can’t to be honest.” She stummbled out any apology, before frowning and fiddling with her hands.
The brown haired male only furrowed his eyebrows slightly. He seemed to want to say something, but he simply slid his hands into his pockets. He tapped his foot on the ground before making a ‘tsk’ sound as he opened his mouth.
“Well..maybe you were right to be dissmissive.” He said, walking a little closer to her.
Ruth had no fucking clue what the two were talking about. But it seemed like something important. Then again, she was never one to bluntly ask questions.
Five made a sound simaliar to a scoff before contuining.
“Maybe it wasn’t real afterall.” He huffed before shaking his head.
“It felt real, anyway. Well..like you said, the old man did always say time travel could contaminate the mind.” He said, before flashing a grin.
‘Time travel?’ The tan skinned teenager thought, furrowing her eyebrows.
She knew time travel was a real thing. Being stuck in a collapsing portal rift had tought her alot. Espically about time, even though when she finally got back, she was messy and still stuck in her sixteen year old body.
The brown haired woman only frowned, eyes looking away from him. She seemed much more shy then the girl would’ve thought.
“Well then..maybe I’m not the right person for you to be talking to. I used to see someone, a therapist. I could give you her information.” She offered, seeming geniuley concerned for her brother.
The amber eyed girl pressed her lips into a firm line and she glanced at the other teenage looking boy. His expression almost looked taken aback, maybe even a little offended. He quickly blinked before looking at the floor and at her with another sarcastic smile.
“Thanks but..I think I’m just gonna’ get some rest. It’s been awhile since I’ve gotten a good sleep.” He glanced over at his bed with a soft look before nodding at her.
She seemed to slump over slightly, clearly not happy. She only looked back at him, probably knowing he wasn’t going to do that. But she simply sighed before exiting the room.
“Okay..” She simply breathed out before leaving sight and going down the staircase.
It looked like Five turned to the pink-nette, and was about to say something but didn’t. As when he opened his mouth, the closet doors that Klaus hid behind stummbled open.
She jolted slightly as items clattered out of it. She blinked a couple times before looking at his outfit. It was a teal and orange buttoned up flare blouse and pants. She only grimnaced slightly at the color choices, not her taste.
“That’s so-!” He was cut off by taking a big breath of air as he finally stood, with his hands placed on his chest.
“-Touching! All that stuff about family, Dad and time! Wow!” He pretended to be actually moved by his brother and his sisters moment.
“Can I leave now?” The brown eyed female finally decided to speak, annoyed and looking at the teenage looking boy.
He only turned to her slightly, glancing at Klaus and then her. He turned to her fully and shoved his hands in his pockets again, and with a sarcastic smile, he said:
“Absoutetly not.”
She felt a scowl come across her face, and her body tensed up. She could feel her hands curl into fists as she looked at the male in frustration, coming a little closer.
“Why the hell not?” She hissed, clearly over this bullshit.
“Because I need you.” He simply said, before looking towards his brother.
‘More like you don’t want me to run to the godamn cops, asshole.’ She thought, feeling her eye twitch.
Klaus contuined rambling about something rather loudly, and Five was getting annoyed.
“Would you both shut up? She’ll hear you!” He hissed, glancing at mainly the dirty blonde but sparing a glance at Ruth.
“I’m moist.” Klaus whined, throwing his arms back.
“…” Five and Ruth shared a distrubed look.
The brown haired male only sighed, shaking his head slightly. He pinched the bridge of his nose before doing a quick up and down of Klaus.
“I thought I told you to put on something professional.” He gestured towards the man’s outfit.
He looked a little insulted and frowned. His frame slumped over slightly and he raised his hands as he gestured towards it himself.
“What? This is my nicest outfit!” He said, frowning.
Before the pink-nette could say anything, a hand cupped around her wrist. She glanced over at the green eyed male as he only made a unimpressed face at his brother. He pinched the bridge of his nose with a free hand before waving a hand and walking out of the room with the girl in tow.
Klaus only groaned before following him shortly after. They stopped near a smaller staircase.
“As long as I get paid.” He huffed, the teenage looking girl had a good idea of what the money was for.
“When the job is done.” The younger looking male curtly responded.
He was about to start walking down the stairs, but the drug addict raised his hands. Almost as if he was making a ‘wait a second’ motion.
“Okay, but just so were clear on the finer detailsss’, I just gotta’ go into this place and pretend to be your dear old dad, correct?” He drawled out the words before asking.
The ladder’s only looked at him, Ruth more confused then the other. They were both turned around and looking at him now. Although, his right hand was still firmly around her wrist.
“Yeah, something like that.” The boy replied blandly.
The bigger concern that Ruth had, why did she have tl be along for this?! She had no idea what they were talking about or where they were even going.
“What’s our cover story?” The older male asked again as he tilted his head slightly with his hands clasped.
‘Cover story? Where the hell are we going?! The club?!’ She thought, sarcastically and concerned in her head.
Even the male holding her wrist seemed confused. His eyebrows furrowed and he tilted his head slightly. Before raising his eyebrows and making a baffled expression.
“What? What are you talking about?” He questioned, voice breathly as he mummbled.
“I mean, was I really young when I had you? Like 16-?” Ruth made a face (because her apperance was that of a sixteen year old.)
“-..Like young..and terribly misguided?” Klaus contuined.
The brown haired male didn’t seem amused, maybe even a little baffled. He only shrugged before answering.
“Sure.” He said simply, expression unamused.
“Your mother, that slut!” He suddenly spat out, making Ruth jolt slightly and due a double take.
She saw Five snicker at the baffled look on her face. She wanted to whipe that stupid small smile off of his face.
“Whoever she was. We met attttt’..the disco!” He shook his head before throwing it back and trailing off before snapping his fingers.
The short haired girl was honestly flabbergasted. This guy obviously was fucked up. But maybe his joking and non-serious personality was because of the drugs? Well, she knew he did them due to his response at the pawn shop.
“Okay? Remeber that!” He laughed slightly before pointing his finger at the two.
He snapped his fingers again and made a distrubing motion as his hands trailed down his body. And groaned slightly.
“Oh, my god. That sex was amazinngggg..” He groaned out, swaying slightly.
Both of the other’s exchanged a distrubed look. He seemed more unimpressed then the girl. As a bead of sweat rolled down her cheek, and her tan skin was a shade paler.
He simply looked away after a moment and scoffed.
“What a distrubing glimpse into that thing you call a brain.” He insulted, before heading down the stairs, dragging Ruth next to him.
Klaus simply scampered after them and pointed a finger at him.
“Don’t make me put you in time-out!” He threatened.
The three simply exited the academy, Five and Ruth heading towards a van. Although, she felt the male looking at her a couple times.
“What?” She scowled and looked at him.
“Ruth, huh?” He rythorically said, seeming to want to say something about her name.
“What about it?” She hissed, clearly not in the mood to try and figure out what he was thinking.
“Sounds like a old ladies name.” He bluntly responded, seemingly not phased by her agression.
She felt her amber eye twitch some. Like he had anywhere to make fun of her name! He didn’t even have a proper name! Unlike his brother!
“You litterally have a number for a name, don’t talk.” She spat, furrowing her eyebrows and glaring.
He blinked, before wanting to say something. The van was close and a few more steps they would enter. But before he could say anything in defense, Klaus shoved in-between them.
“Okay, break it up children! Your father demands it!” He demanded before snickering slightly.
Ruth, only scoffed, shoving past him. She entered the back of the van as the older male took the passengers seat. The teenage looking boy also took the drivers seat. And they took off without another word.
To say that Ruth Pirce was surprised was an understatement. They had entered meritech, a place that made prostectics for disabled people. Five had dragged his brother in her in, and now they were in a doctors office.
A middle-aged man, blonde hair, blue eyes, overweight. He had a basic lab coat on and looked like a doctor. He leaned back in his chair and in his clean office.
It was almost perfectly clean, and when she looked out the clear windows, she saw her reflection. But she looked down and immeditally looked away, fear of heights was a bitch. The junkie’ was sitting slouched in a seat as the teeange looking boy had let go of her finally.
“Like I said to your son earlier, any information about the prosthectics we build is strictly confidental.” He blandly replied, looking at the trio infront of him.
The only information the girl had about any of this, is that Five was trying to get information out of the guy. Apprently he had found an eye and wanted to know who it belonged to.
Yeah, that wasn’t creepy at all.
“Without the client’s consent, I simply cannot help you.” He cockily replied, she didn’t like this doctors tone.
In fact, he seemed awfully keen to not tell them. Not like she had any invested intrest in this, but he was getting on her nerves. But she was snapped out of the nasty look she was sending him by Five slamming his hands down on the doctor’s desk and leaning towards him.
“Well, we can’t get consent if you don’t give us a name.” He hissed, clearly getting pissed off as he glared at the adult.
“Well that’s not my problem..Sorry, now there’s really nothing more I can do, so..” He seemed awfully keen on trying to make the trio leave as he raised his eyebrows.
Ruth finally had to say something, this doctor was pissing her off. She walked beside the green eyed male and scowled, body tense.
“That makes no fucking sense. Just go to the client and ask them for consent. And then come back here and tell us, asshole.” She made a tapping her head agressivly gesture.
She saw both of the brothers make a taken aback face. What? Was it not obvious she was a agressive person before? This doctor had no common sense.
The male, now wearing a black pinstripped suit and loose dress pants. He cleared his throat and made the three look at him.
“And what about my consent?” He rythorically asked, tone offended.
“Excuse me?” The male in the rolling chair behind the desk asked, confused.
“Who..gave you..permisson-..” He started, but then everyone was more confused when he started tearing up.
“To put your hands..on my son..and his adorable girlfriend?!” He sobbed, pointing to the two teenagers in uniforms.
The tan skinned female was completly flabbergasted. She knew he was suposed to be posing as Five’s dad, but girlfriend?! When was that even apart of the plan?!
The two exchanged looks, she mouthed angrily,
‘Girlfriend?!’ She mouthed but he simply looked away and with the doctor they both questioned.
“What?” They both breathelessy said, Five more confused.
“You heard me.” Klaus spat, leaning forward in his chair slightly.
“I didn’t touch your son..or his girlfriend.” The female felt her annoyance only growing every time someone adressed her as the asshole’s girlfriend.
The curly haired male only scoffed slightly and stummbled to his feet. It was clear he was on something. Secretly, she wished she had some vodka or a edible right now.
“Oh really? Then how did he get that swallowen lip then? Oh- and his poor love, how did she get that bruise on her cheek?!” He sarcastically asked.
Both of the teenagers shared another look. The doctor even glanced at them, only to see two skin clear faces looking back at him.
“He doesn’t have a swollen li-!” He was cut off by the older looking brother sending a punch towards his brother.
The girl felt her mouth drop open slightly as his head turned harshly. He grunted slightly, before looking at Klaus while touching his now busted open bottom lip.
What the hell was wrong with this family.
But before she could stare at him more, a harsh punch was throwen towards her left cheek. His rings slightly scratched her too, and she also grunted a little at the pain. Her hands flew to her throbbing and aching cheek, and she sent a nasty, veomnous look at the male who had punched her.
He only glanced at her before placing his hands on the desk and leaning towards the doctor. Who, now, by the way, seemed terrifed.
“I want it. Name, please. Now.” He breathed out sharply.
The chubby man seemed taken aback, mouth hanging open slightly. Before he pointed a finger at him and breathelessy said;
“Your crazy.”
The dirty blonde haired adult only laughed under his breath, shaking his head slightly.
“You’ve got no idea.” He assured before looking at a snowglobe on the doctors desk
It was near the edge, Ruth didn’t really get a good look at it. But from what she saw, it had a earth figure and sparkles all around and floating in it.
“‘Peace on earth-‘“ She assumed that’s something it had written on it. “That’s so sweet!”
The pink-nette’s gasp that came out of her mouth couldn’t be stopped when the adult picked up the thing. His head slammed into it and glass and water filled with sparkles went everywhere.
She also saw Five out of the corner of her eye, blink rapidly. She looked away though when he looked her way, they had enough of shared glances already.
“That’s gotta’ hurt..” She winced and cringed under her brearh as a startling amount of blood started running down Klaus’s face from his forehead.
She honestly wouldn’t even be suprised if he was concused by that. But maybe the drugs helped lessen the pain. But that theory was taken off the table as his hands clenched on it and he shut his eyes tightly, making a pain expression.
“God, that hurt!” He groaned and yelled slightly, before shaking his face and head slightly.
The male behind the desk simply stared in horror. His hand reached for the phone and he quickly dialed a number into it.
“I’m calling secur-!” He was panickly cut off by the bleeding blonde as he snatched the phone out of his grip.
“What are you doing?!” He panickly asked Klaus, who seemed to be catching his breath.
The blonde simply gasped for air before speaking into the phone. He was still leaning over the male’s white desk.
“There’s..been an assault in Mr. Bigs office! And we need security , now! SCHNELL!!” He breathlessy said into the phone before yelling that last part and lazily slamming the phone into the reciver.
The girl in the red uniform simply flicked her eyes across the room. But she was taken aback when she saw a smirk whine itself onto Five’s face. What the hell was going on?!
“Now, here’s what’s gonna’ happen Grant..” He adressed the ladder by the wrong name.
“It’s..Lance..” He hesitantely corrected the addict, but he simply waved him off.
“In about 60 seconds, two security guards are going to burst through that door. And then they’re gonna’ see a whole alot of blood on the floor, and they’re gonna’ wonder, ‘what the hell happened?’” He gave a basic rundown of what was about to happen.
A light bulb went off in the girl’s head. They were setting him up, blackmailing him, forcing his hand. Whatever, it was all the same thing.
“And we’re gonna’ tell them-..” He cut himself off by sniffling and using a heartbroken tone.
“That you..beat the shit out of us..” He raised his hands before stummbling away from the desk with a smile.
The green eyed teenagers smile only grew. He gazed at his brother, expression something Ruth couldn’t read.
“Your gonna’ do great in prison Grant. Trust me, I’ve been there!” He reassured, with a sigh and smile.
Ruth wasn’t surprised he had been in jail before. But she was curious how long he was in there for.
“A little piece of chicken like you..oh my god, your gonna’ get passed around like a..-” He cut himself off as he started doing a spin motion with his hips.
All of the other three only shared a look. Why was the brown haired boy still smirking?! His brother was litterally bleeding and acting like a physco’! This wasn’t that amusing!
She made another face but looked back at the grey eyed male as he sighed again. He stopped doing to vulgar motion and slumped slightly.
“Your just..Your gonna’ do great, that’s all I’m saying..” He tried to reassure, even though she knew that was FAR from what he was saying.
“Jesus, your a real sick bastard.” Lance or ‘Grant’ spit out with a horrifed facial expression, paling slightly.
The drug addict simply looked proud. He turned his head slightly and the pink-nette made a face when he spit out some glass.
“Thank you.” The shard of glass clinkened on the ground.
The brownish eyed teenager pressed her lips into a firm line when Five shot a proud smirk in her direction.
God, what had she gotten into?
Now the trio was in another main office area. Lance dug threw files before furrowing his eyebrows at something. Five had given him the number that was on the back of the eye, but the doctor seemed confused.
Klaus was sitting on the desk, along with Ruth which she objected to at first, but he simply smiled and patted an area next to him. The green eyed teenager was the only one standing there.
“Oh..that’s strange..” He said in confusion while glancing up at the three.
“What?” Five demanded, clearly getting impaiteint.
“Uh, the eye. It hasn’t been purchased by a client yet.” He explained, looking back down at the file.
‘So this was just a big waste of time?’ The girl in the red uniform closed her eyes and irked.
Klaus jumped down from where he was and circled back to where the doctor was. He tensed up as Klaus circled him before taking his right and placing his hands down as he leaned closer.
“What? What do you mean?” He breathed out, trying to look at the file.
The doctor quickly glanced at the taller male, fear in his eyes. As blood and sparkles were still dripping from his forehead.
“Well, uh, our logs say that eye with the serial number..” He trailed off as he furrowed his eyebrows even further.
“This can’t be right, it hasn’t even been manufactered yet..” He said in confusion before looking up at the trio, mainly Ruth and the other.
“Where did you get that eye?” He asked, mainly asking the boy who was standing next to Ruth.
He only scoffed before angrily walking off. Both the short haired girl and the male in the pinstripped suit gave each other a look. They decided to follow after him.
The two eventually caught up as the brown haired male stormed out of the entrance to Meritech. Klaus walked up to him, a little quicker then the girl.
“Well, this is not good.” He said through gritted teeth.
The curly haired adult only spared a glance at the girl before back at him. A smile crept onto his face as he grabbed her. She made a sound of surprise and blinked before looking at the male.
“I was pretty good though, right? Yeah, what about my consent, bitch?” He laughed airly after exagerating his voice on that last part.
The boy in the uniform only scoffed. He stopped walking down the stairs and turned towards his brother. His eyes were narrowed and he shook his head slightly before speaking.
“Klaus, it doesn’t matter.” He shot down, making the female look away.
“What? Why? What’s the big deal with eye, anyway?” He looked surprised before actually asking.
The pink-nette silently praised the lord as her question had been asked. She had refrianed from asking it, and almost cried in relief. If she had stayed silent any longer, she felt like she would’ve lost it.
She looked at Five and looked alert. Almost like she was keen to see why he was so pissed about this.
“There is someone out there who is going to lose an eye in the next seven days.” He explained, hands in his pockets as he came a little closer.
She only furrowed her eyebrows with this. Why was the time so important? She obviously knew alot about time with her abilities? To which none of the brothers knew about. But still, why did this week matter so much?
But his next words made her heart stop.
“They’re gonna’ bring about the end of life on this earth as we know it.” He explained further, squinting at his brother.
End of the earth? Ruth felt a lump form in her throat. Clearly he was serious- wait, maybe he was just lying? Who would lie about something like that though?! He defentily didn’t have the type of vibe to be like his brother and joke about that!
Or maybe he was insane to?! She ment, it was certianely possible- oh god, she had to get out of here! Ruth didn’t even relize she had been zoning out and making faces. The growing paranoia and sickness in her stomach was only snapped out of it when one of them talked again.
“Yeah, can I get that twenty bucks like, now, or?” The tall scrawny male completly brushed off his younger looking brothers concern as he waved his arms around.
If the short haired girl tried to make a break for it now, would they stop her? They hadn’t really spoken much to her, but then again, the green eyed male could teleport.
“Your twenty bucks?” The ladder echoed back, making a face of disblief and almost mocking him as he scoffed.
“Yeah, my twenty bucks.” The former confrimed, nodding his head.
The girl in the red uniform did recall something about money. God, she wished she could just turn off her racing brain. She just wanted some answers for once. But hell- it wasn’t her fanily.
“The apocolypse is coming. And all you can think about is getting high?” Five questioned, only making Ruth more sick to her stomach.
Apocolypse? Is that why he was so worried about a date? But how would he know?? God-she hoped he knew that he looked absoutetly nuts right now.
She ment, imagine a teeanger walking up to grown adults and raving about an eye and a apocolypse! He would get locked up! Why was he even a teenager anyway when his brother looked to be in his thirties?!
Ruth’s oncoming migraine throbbed in warninng for her to calm down.
“Well I’m also quite hungry, tummy’s a-rumblin’!” He put his fingers near his stomach and wiggled them towards his brother as he made grumbling noises.
The tan skinned girl made a distrubed facial expression. She moved away from Klaus and towards Five slightly. He seemed to notice the movement, and spared a quick glance at her before back to his brother.
The said brother had a slight look on disblief on his face. He looked stunned before suddenly looking pissed.
“Your useless..” He said quietly, scrunching up his face at his taller brother.
“Your all useless!!” He snapped, louder and sparing a glance at the girl and the older looking male before scoffing and walking down the stairs again.
‘Oh no he did not.’ The female was stunned for second before feeling a shot of rage overcome her at his angered words.
He huffed and sat down at a step. The girl quickly walked up to him, a step lower then him. She moved infront of him as he sat and scowled.
“You-listen to me asshole! I don’t even know why you forced me to come with you, but I’m not fucking useless. Maybe that’s how you get your rocks off by pretending your better then everyone else, but your not. Your just a fucking physcopath.” She snapped, grabbing his collar slightly.
A pause of silence greeted the pair as he looked at her. She could just strangle him here if she really wanted to. He was pissing her off. Her eyes were narrowed and her eyebrows were furrowed.
“Woah, woah woah!” The drug addict quickly pulled her off of him and stepped infront of her.
Five was shocked, for lack of a better word. He never expected her to just lose it at that. She seemed pissed at him, he could still feel her scowling and glaring angirly at him .
“She’s right though..you do need to lighten up, old man!” He said before laughing and taking a seat next to his brother.
The short haired girl only scoffed, shaking her head slightly. But suddenly, the male in black clothing snapped his fingers and pointed at his brother.
“Hey, you know, I’ve just relized why your so uptight!” He pointed out, a small laugh coming out of his mouth.
Five only turned his head slightly, looking at his brother out of the corner of his eye.
“You must be horny as hell!” He vuglery said, making Ruth cough.
She turned around slightly as she started choking on a piece of hair. What the hell?! This guy didn’t have any filter! It was kind of funny, but she was still pissed.
“All those years by yourself..it’s gotta’ screw with your head being alone.” Klaus unhelpfullingly added on as he gazed at his brother.
Years by himself? The girl was trying to place everything together. She still didn’t understand why Five looked like he was in his sixteen’s.
The short haired brown haired male only scoffed and shook his head. His long hands were folded as his knees were up.
“Well..I wasn’t alone..” He corrected, voice soft.
Klaus looked surprised by this as he made a shocked expression. He raised his eyebrows before smiling slightly and leaning towards his brother. The teenage looking girl didn’t know what to make of the situation.
“Oh? Prey tell!” He egged on, seeming curious.
“Her name was Delores, we were together for over thirty years.” His voice was soft like he was speaking about a real girl.
That just made less sense to the short haired girl though. How could he be with a girl for thirty years? He didn’t look like he was in his fourties or thirties!
“Thirty years? Oh wow!” His older looking brother seemed geniuley impressed by this information.
“God, the longest I’ve been with someone was..I don’t know, three weeks?” He contuined, but didn’t seem sure of his answer.
Ruth cringed slightly, they weren’t even talking to her. Could she just leave? She really wanted to, the conversation was akward.
“And that’s only because I was so tired and looking for a place to sleep.” He added on, before sighing and looking away.
Was he broke or homeless? She meant, sure, he looked a little dishelved. But he didn’t look like he was completly suffering or struggling.
“He did make the most fantastic osso busco though..” The sound of a faint ‘whoosh’ made Ruth snap her head towards the street.
The drug addict looked back to his side, only to see his brother had dissapered. He gasped and stummbled to his feet, rushing down the stairs.
A taxi car drived past the building, and in the back seat with the window down, the boy made a teasing face at the duo.
“Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! What about my money?!” He waved down his brother and shouted, but the car only kept going.
The girl in the red uniform felt a sense of relief that he was gone. Now she could just go back to the academy. Or she could try and get answers from..
Her head slowly turned to look at the curly haired male. His frame was slumped over slightly as he saw his brother just ditched him.
She walked down the stairs and next to him.
“Wanna’ get lunch?” She offered, making the older blink and look at her.
Before a bright smile formed on his face. He clapped his hands together and nodded.
“Oh, you’ angel! Of course I would!” He cooed before smiling happily.
Only if he knew what her real motives were.
The pair was now at chinese resturant. Klaus was absoutetly devouring his noodles and rice. The amber eyed girl watched him with careful eyes as she took a swig of her tea.
“Aren’t you gonna’ eat anything?” He asked, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked at the girl.
She only placed her tea cup down and shrug her shoulders.
“I’m not hungry.” She simply said before holding her hands together infront of her mouth.
“So..do you know why your brother was looking for the owner of that eye?” She asked, flicking her eyes slowly across his face.
He only grunted before swallowing his food. He waved around his chopsticks as he looked at the girl.
“Not really! But he has been going on about something, the apocolypse? I just think he’s crazy.” He said before pondering and shrugging.
“Do you think he’s telling the truth? About the apocolypse- I mean.” She titled her head and asked.
Klaus only shrugged again, picking at some of his rice.
“Wouldn’t be the first time someone thought the apocolypse was coming. Rehab centers have all sorts of..intresting people.”
Ruth only hummed in response and looked away. It was still around lunch time. This place wasn’t the busitest but it still had other people besides the two.
“So..why does Five still look like a teenager? I mean, the rest of you look around late twenties or early thirties.” She decided to ask a question that had been bugging her.
The ladder only nodded his head and snapped his fingers.
“Well- dear old Five dissapered around sixteen years ago. The rest of us grew up without him and then, yesterday- he came back! For our dear old daddies’ funeral! There was a giant blue vortex thingy’-something you would see from like..back to the future or something?” He explained before trying to help her understand.
Dissapearing? It was a little confusing. He had only came back yesterday? Taking a little vacation for sixteen years was nothing to laugh at.
“Anyway, he said something like- he was fifty eight? At least in his mental age he said. It was all really confusing.” He waves around the rest of his chopsticks before finishing his food.
The pink haired girl pondered over this, looking away. A blue vortex? He was fifty eight mentally? It was extremely confusing, but who was she to say?
Was he simaliar to her? Ruth knew he couldn’t create portals like she could. But time jumping could be tricky. She didn’t know his limit, but she was sure he had to do something dangerous.
A waiter with a check made her pay and she paid quickly. She finally looked back towards the older male and furrowed her eyebrows as he was looking at her.
“So..why are you so curious about dear old Fivey’ anyway? You have a crush on him or something?” He asked, smile on his face.
Ruth only tensed up and felt her face heat up slightly. Her amber eyes were wide for a second as embrassment creeped over her. She cleared her throat before scowling and shaking her head.
“Don’t be ridicilous! He’s an asshole, and I only met him today!” She degraded but denied his thought.
Klaus only laughed slightly before sighing and cleaning back on his side of the booth. He looked relaxed and looked at her with a grin.
“That’s a shame. I think you two would be cute!” He sighed before tilting his head slightly.
She only deadpanned before standing up. The male only groaned slightly as he stood up. The duo walked as she had already paid. He stopped outside of the resturant and smiled down at her.
“Thanks for the food, Ruth. Keep hanging around Five and I might repay you a favor sometime!” He only laughed slightly.
He smiled and ruffled her hair slightly. She heard him laugh again but when she looked around, he was no where to be seen.
The red uniformed girl finally got back to her orginal academy. The Glided academy, when she entered it was sunset. She had done some wandering around the city before deciding to head back.
She wasn’t sure if she should bring up what happened today with her siblings. Surely they would think she was crazy.
“Oh, welcome back!” A familar energetic voice greeted.
She looked and saw Astro standing aganist the doorway of one of the spiltting hallways. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt that had a white tank top underneath. It was rather big on her, and she also had on shorts.
“I can’t believe everyone’s still here..” The teenage looking girl said.
The tall girl only nodded and leaned off of the wall. She walked towards her with her arms crossed and looked around.
“Yeah well, some of us don’t really have anywhere else to be.” Her voice was rather somber as she mummbled that before snapping out of it.
“Speaking of you, are you ever gonna’ stay home long enough for us to have dinner with you? Honestly, we already had dinner today and yesterday! And it was italian!” Astro snapped their fingers before sarcastically asking.
The shorter only scoffed before shaking her head.
“I don’t know, I’m a busy person.” She huffed and looked away.
The other wasn’t impressed, to say the very least.
“Oh- I know you usually are the first to wake up. So could you make sure no one leaves tommorow? I have something I want to talk to you guys about.” Before the long haired person could say anything, she contuined.
They blinked with big yellowish eyes before nodding their head.
“Sure, I can do that. But is it important? Like-how important-?” She simply said with a grin before furrowing her eyebrows.
Ruth cut her off with a throw of her hands in the air. She groaned lowly before looking at her.
“It’s just important, okay?! Make sure no one leaves!” snapped, glaring at Astro slightly before demanding.
The other only turned their head slightly when she pushed past them. She walked up the main stairs and heade towards her room.
The tan skinned female groaned when she entered her room and closed the door behind her. She shrugged off her blazer and piece by piece she took her old uniform off completly. She only found a basic white shirt and shorts to sleep in her closet, seeing as it was mainy uniforms.
They didn’t really make any clothes that were appealing for her age. Or at least physical age and size. And she couldn’t go walking around in professional clothes when she looked sixteen, could she?
After she had brushed her teeth, taken a shot of vodka and a shower, she crawled into bed. The shot of vodka didn’t do much by haze her mind over slightly. She knew she could be classifed as an acholic, but she didn’t really care.
She laid on her side and felt her mouth go dry, but she didn’t feel like getting out of bed. She looked at the red ring on her night stand, it glittering when the moonlight hit the red gem. Her amber eyes practically glew in the dark too.
She only pressed her face further aganist the pillow, expression bittering. She frowned nastly before turning around on her opposite side and closing her eyes, falling asleep.
When she closed her eyes, she dreamed about Celeste.

Extra Information: Viisi means Five in Finnish. Five and Y/n were partners in the commission. They look seventeen or eighteen instead of thirteen. This one-shot takes place on the last episode of season one, and the entirety of season two.
----
The Academy, Five's home, has just collapsed--courtesy of Vanya's new powers--and Five ordered his family to meet at Super Star Lanes bowling alley to come up with a new plan of action.
He grabs your wrist, blinking you with him. You're both in front of the bowling alley in a flash of blue.
Five takes a moment to pace around, not entering the building. The crisp, spring air bites at your earlobes as you hug your sides for warmth
"Hey, Viisi, can we go inside?" You look at him with a grimace and a pleading smile. He whips his head in your direction to glare at you, then strolls inside with a roll of his eyes. You follow in his stead.
The interior is heated, thankfully. Five informs the underpaid worker that his "parents" will be arriving shortly to pay for his bowling shoes. He takes a seat adjacent to Lane 6 and you sit next to him.
"So, how was the farewell with Delores? I know you two were close." You lean back in your seat, getting more comfortable while waiting for Five's siblings to arrive.
He does not look at you, his jaw ticks in annoyance.
"Come onnn, I know you're stressed, but this is your sister. I'm sure she's reasonable enough not to end the world." You turn towards him, leaning your elbows on your thighs and admiring his pretty face.
"No, it's not that." He scoffs, looking at you with a sneer.
You notice that his tie is crooked so you reach out to fix it, like you often do. It's sort of your thing.
He smacks your hand away and you raise an eyebrow.
"You okay Viisi?" You rub your hand a little, surprised. Normally, he lets you fix his tie with no problem. Although, he would grumble about it a little.
"God- No. I'm not okay." He puts his hands in his hair, gripping it slightly with an exasperated expression. "And stop calling me that."
"What?" You breathe with a smile of disbelief. "What's going on? Did something happen- Did I do something?" You lean away from him a little to give him more space.
"Stop, just stop it with the touching and the nicknames. I'm sick of it!" He looks at you with cold eyes. This is very unusual of him.
You cock your head to the side, trying to understand. "Five, I thought- I thought that was our thing! Y'know, the friendly banter and-"
"I know you're desperate for some sort of relationship with me, but I'm here to tell you that it's not going to happen. We were only ever co-workers." He says through gritted teeth, avoiding your eyes. "I'm telling you to stop pursuing me." You were never 'pursuing' him.
Usually you would brush this sort of behavior off, ignore it. Tell yourself that it's only because he's stressed. He's always stressed! Thinking back, he was never all that nice to you. Even in your Commission days.
You'd tricked yourself into thinking that maybe he thought you were special, or that you were at least his friend. His confidant.
You look at him with eyes full of hurt, which Five has never seen from you. He almost feels something bubbling up his throat, but the feeling dissipates quickly. "Have I made myself clear?" He says evenly.
You only nod, turning away so he doesn't see the tears prick at your eyes.
Five's siblings come inside and you two don't speak to each other again.
A year and seven months later (for you, at least.)
1963, Dallas Texas:
Five anxiously pulls at his tie after narrowly escaping three armed Swedish men. He had just watched his siblings, along with you, blow up in yet another nuclear explosion. It's left him oddly shaken up about how he treated you back in 2019.
He's pacing down the alley-way between the Commerse and Knox when he notices a flash atop the roof. A large camera of some sort.
A brown haired man closes his window briskly. That's strange.
Five teleports inside, scaling up a flight of stairs with cat-like agility. When he knocks on a door, the one beside him answers, revealing a mouse-y looking man in his early thirties. He looks at him with big, expectant eyes.
"What do you want." His tone is dripping with suspicion.
"Hi, I'm selling encyclopedias for my youth group. I was curious if-" Five gets a door to the face. He huffs, blinking inside after him.
The man, Elliot, jumps, yelping in fear and pulling out a butter-knife from his drawer of kitchen utensils. "H-how did you do that?" He hesitates, astonished.
Five looks at him with amusement. "Don't really have time to explain."
Elliot runs a hand through his unkempt brown hair, gripping the butter-knife in a feeble attempt to protect himself. "You from the Pentagon? Huh?"
"Definitely not."
"CIA? FBI? KGB?"
Five eyes up the kitchen, noticing a coffee pot on the other side of the room. "Is that fresh?" He uses his powers again, blinking himself right in front of the coffee pot.
Elliot screams, whipping his head back and forth between the place Five just was and the place he appeared. "What..." He pants, eyes wide.
"Elliot? You okay?" Five hears a faraway voice from another room. A familiar voice. "Who's with you?" It asks.
You appear from around the corner, presumably from Elliot's bedroom, looking almost two years older.
Five furrows his eyebrows and so do you. He breathes out your name is what you almost register as relief. But, you know better then to think that.
"Oh, Five. You're back." You say casually, nodding and crossing your arms. Five sets the coffee down, unwillingly noticing how you didn't call him by his nickname.
"How long have you been here?" He walks towards you, looking at your slightly different features. You changed your hair, he observes. He says nothing about it.
"A year and a half, I believe." You tap your chin in thought. Elliot glances between you two with interest or surprise.
"You two know each-other?" He puts the butter-knife back onto the counter with a small clatter.
You nod, shrugging. "We were co-workers." You send Elliot a reassuring, genuine smile.
Co-workers. Five doesn't like how the word rolled off your tongue.
He licks his lips, looking away. "You live here?" He asks you, though it was a silly question considering its obvious answer.
You nod with tight lipped smile, approaching Elliot. You fix his hair with your fingers and flip the collar of his flannel back down. "Did he scare you? I told you he could be a bit much."
Elliot exhales a shaky laugh at your words and actions as Five begins to feel a hot, frothy feeling in the pit of his stomach. He changes the subject. "Are my siblings here too?"
Elliot answers for you, looking back towards the teen again. "The other six anomalys- The power surges." He begins to look excited at this new discovery. "They're your siblings?"
Five ticks his jaw, ignoring him. "So they're alive..." He begins to pace around. "I think I stranded them here. Now listen to me..."
"Elliot." You tell him his name.
"Whatever, alright? I got ten days to find them and save the world." He points to you and Elliot. "Now, I need your help to do that."
Elliot is just so happy to be involved, his three year long project finally achieving some major development. He scrambles to find a certain newspaper scrap from his desk drawer. "You know what? I, uh..." He fumbles with it, handing it to Five.
"I always thought that this, uh, mugshot looked like arrival number four."
"Diego." Five reads softly, then he twists around to face you. "You're coming with me." He states.
You hiss awkwardly through your teeth, avoiding his eyes. "Ohh, about that... Actually, Elliot and I were about to play scrabble."
Five narrows his eyes at you, barking your name. "The world is ending and you're just gonna play scrabble with this homebody?"
Elliot looks at his dusty wooden floors with a look of dejection.
"Uh, yeah. That's exactly what I'm gonna do." You lean against the door-frame with a bored expression. "I thought you wanted me to stop following you around like a lost puppy."
Five feels strange. "You know what? I don't need this." He blinks away to search for Diego.
When Five returns from the strip club, after a failed attempt of recruiting both Luther and Diego, he decides to test something. His fingers reach for his tie, pulling at it and skewing it. Perfectly crooked.
You couldn't resist fixing his tie, he knew this.
So why didn't you? He finds himself uncharacteristically frustrated about unresponsiveness.
As he demands that Elliot develop his Frankel Footage, his eyes trail to you occasionally, silently tempting you to straighten his tie.
Your eyes flicked to it once. However, you made no move to adjust it.
Five heaves a dramatic sigh, angrily fixes it, and leaves to look for Vanya.
He messed up before, he realizes. He feels like shit.
