Ooh, for the grid kids series, how about the time when all the grid kids had to babysit Seb and y/n's daughter? I feel like it would be chaos all around.
Grid Kids: Baby-Sitters Club
Sebastian Vettel x wife!Reader x platonic!drivers
Summary: the grid kids have tamed some of the fastest cars on the planet but can they tame their baby sister?

Max Verstappen: Good Taste in Music
“Alright, mate, remember, she likes the pacifier if she starts crying and always check if she’s hungry,” Sebastian instructs as he hands over the baby monitor to Max.
Max nods, trying to hide the nervousness on his face. “Got it. How hard can it be? I’ve tamed a Red Bull, after all.”
You chuckle, “It’s not the same, Max. She’s not going to pit in 2.4 seconds if she needs something.”
Handing over a small pink bag, you add, “There’s some milk in the bottle and a few toys. Oh, and if she starts crying and won’t stop, play her the Formula 1 theme. She strangely calms down to that.”
Max, cradling the baby carefully in his arms, smirks. “Like mother, like daughter.”
Sebastian laughs, “Alright, we’ll be back in a couple of hours. You got this.”
An hour into his babysitting gig and things are surprisingly smooth. Max and the little one are seated on the couch, with him talking to her about overtaking techniques and the importance of tire management.
Suddenly, a small wail interrupts his monologue. Max’s eyes widen in slight panic. He tries the pacifier. No luck. He checks the diaper. Still dry. The wailing grows louder.
Thinking quickly, he connects his phone to the speakers and starts playing the F1 theme song. Just as you said, the baby’s cries subside and she starts to doze off.
Max lets out a sigh of relief, whispering to the now sleeping baby, “You’re going to be a racer, aren’t you? Just remember, Maxie taught you the basics.”
A few hours later, you return to find Max fast asleep on the couch with a snoozing baby cuddled on his chest, the F1 theme playing softly in the background. You share a smile, knowing your little girl is in good hands with her grid brothers.
Charles Leclerc: Start Them Young
“Okay, she might be a bit tricky during her nap times. She’s been fighting sleep a lot lately,” you adjust the baby bag over Charles’ shoulder.
Charles gives a confident nod, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “Don’t worry, I have a plan. Have you ever tried Ferrari engine sounds to help her fall asleep?”
Sebastian chuckles, “Not quite the lullaby most kids go for but anything is worth a shot.”
You smile, patting Charles on the back, “Good luck. We’ll be back soon.”
An hour into babysitting, the little one is becoming restless, rubbing her eyes, yet refusing to close them. Charles has an idea. Booting up his laptop, he finds a clip from one of the recent races, and soon, the familiar sound of a roaring Ferrari engine fills the room.
Amazingly, the baby’s eyes start to droop, and within minutes, she’s sound asleep. Charles grins triumphantly, feeling quite proud of his unconventional method.
Later, he decides to do a mini photoshoot, dressing her up in a tiny Ferrari onesie he secretly bought and posing her with a little Ferrari model car.
Upon returning, you and Sebastian are welcomed by a giggling Charles showing them the adorable pictures. “Look, she’s a natural Tifosa! We start them young.”
Sebastian laughs, “That’s one way to do it. Just remember, she’s got Red Bull and Aston Martin blood too.”
Charles winks, “We’ll see about that!"
You can’t help but laugh, “No matter the team, she’s got the best grid brothers around.”
Lance Stroll: Canadian by Proxy
“Alright, little miss, ready for some Canadian immersion?” Lance grins widely, holding up a tiny hockey stick and puck. “It’s never too early for your first hockey lesson.”
You raise an eyebrow, laughing, “I’m not sure she can even hold that stick yet, let alone play.”
Lance winks, adjusting the baby-sized Montreal Canadiens jersey he brought with him. “Trust me, by the time I’m done, she’ll be ready for the NHL.”
Sebastian smirks, “Just remember, no actual skating yet.”
With you and Sebastian heading out, Lance sets the scene for a cozy afternoon. He places the baby on a soft blanket, surrounding her with plush hockey toys, and turns on a recorded game. Soon, the room echoes with the sounds of cheering fans and commentary.
The baby gazes curiously at the screen, her little fingers reaching out to grasp the mini puck Lance places in front of her. Lance, laying beside her, narrates the game with exaggerated commentary, making her giggle with delight.
Halfway through their game, Lance feels adventurous. He gently places the baby in a laundry basket cushioned with a plush blanket, using the mini hockey stick to push her around, mimicking the action on the TV screen. Her laughter fills the room as they play their unique version of indoor hockey.
By the time you return, you find Lance, completely worn out, sprawled on the floor, with your daughter, dressed in her little hockey jersey, contentedly napping next to him, clutching the mini stick.
Sebastian laughs, “Looks like you had quite the game.”
Lance grins, slightly out of breath, “She’s got potential. Might just be the next German hockey prodigy.”
You chuckle, “Thanks, Lance. Just remember, before hockey comes racing.”
He winks, “We’ll see. Maybe She’ll bring the Stanley Cup back home to Montreal one day!”
George Russell: Pulling Pigtails
“George! Over here!” You wave, holding out the baby bag as George ambles over, hair in its usual perfect quiff.
“Well, hello there!” George greets, bending over to coo at the baby who instantly reaches out, tiny fingers eager to grab his thick hair.
“Looks like someone’s a fan of your hair,” Sebastian remarks with a chuckle, watching as his daughter gleefully tugs on George's hair.
George laughs, wincing just a tad. “It’s alright, who needs a hairdresser when you have such a cute little stylist?”
You hand over a bottle of milk, “She just had a nap and might be hungry soon. And, well, you might want to keep an eye on your hair.”
With baby in arms, George heads over to the living room. Laying out a blanket, he places her down, only to have her immediately try crawling towards him, reaching for his hair again. Grinning, he plays a little game, leaning in close and then pulling back, making her giggle each time.
As the afternoon progresses, George discovers that his hair is the ultimate distraction. Whether she’s fussy or just bored, having his hair within reach keeps her entertained. Even feeding her becomes easier as she remains captivated by his hair while sipping on her milk.
Feeling a tad mischievous, George decides to shoot a quick Instagram story, showing the world his new hairdresser in action. Fans immediately flood the comments, loving the adorable interaction between the racing star and the tiny tot.
When you and Sebastian return, you find George seated, baby in his lap, both engrossed in a video of funny hair fails. His hair now looks nothing like its usual pristine self, instead resembling a bird’s nest.
“Seems like you two had quite the day,” you remark with a laugh.
George, brushing a hand through his tousled hair, smiles, “Best hair appointment ever. And the most adorable tiny stylist to boot.”
Lando Norris: Stealing the Show
“Alright, munchkin, just you and me today. How hard can this be?” Lando chirps, picking up the little bundle and settling her onto the couch, surrounding her with cushions. The room is set up for his usual streaming session, his gaming chair at the ready and multiple screens glowing.
He’s barely into his first game when a small cry interrupts him. “Hungry already?” he asks, looking over to see her trying to grab the controller lying next to her. “Ah, you want in on the action?”
Quickly, Lando scoops her up and settles her on his lap, handing her a toy controller. “There you go, co-host,” he says with a grin, adjusting his headset and returning to his game.
He’s live-streaming and the chat exploded with comments about his adorable helper.
Who’s the kiddo?
That’s some fierce competition you got there!
Does she have her own Twitch channel yet?
But the peace doesn’t last long. In the middle of a particularly intense race, the baby suddenly decides to slam her toy controller on the keyboard. The game goes haywire, Lando’s car spinning out of control.
“Oh no! Sabotage!” Lando exclaims, laughing even as he tries to regain control.
The baby giggles, clearly pleased with the chaos she’s caused. Lando’s chat goes wild with laughter and teasing comments.
Dude, you just got schooled by a baby!
That’s what you get for multi-tasking
She’s clearly the superior gamer
Shaking his head in mock exasperation, Lando says, “Alright, alright, you win this round.” He lifts her up, peppering her face with playful kisses, making her squeal and show a gummy smile.
Throughout the stream, there are more interruptions — from spit-up incidents to sudden dance breaks every time she gets fussy. Lando quickly learns that streaming with a baby requires a whole new level of multitasking.
As the stream comes to an end, Lando addresses his viewers. “Thanks for joining in. Hope you enjoyed the special appearance by our youngest gamer here. Maybe we’ll make this a regular thing?”
The unanimous response? More baby streams!
Chuckling, Lando signs off, “Say bye-bye, little co-driver.”
She waves her tiny hand as the screen goes black.
Mick Schumacher: Baby Meets Fur Baby
“Hey there, Ang,” Mick says with a smile as he enters the room, the baby cradled in his arms. Angie, his Australian Shepherd, immediately perks up, her tail wagging enthusiastically.
The baby’s eyes widen as she takes in the large, furry creature approaching her. Mick chuckles, gently lowering her onto the floor as he kneels down beside her. “This is Angie,” he introduces, watching as the dog sniffs curiously at the baby.
Angie’s warm, wet nose tickles the baby’s palm and she lets out a squeal, her fingers curling in delight. “Looks like you’ve made a new friend,” Mick chuckles, patting Angie’s head.
As if sensing the baby’s fascination, Angie sits down and gently places her head in the baby’s lap. The baby giggles, her tiny fingers brushing against the soft fur. Mick watches the interaction with a fond smile, his heart melting at the sight of his dog and baby sister bonding.
Mick then picks up a toy from the nearby pile and hands it to the baby. “Here you go, little one. Angie’s sharing her toys with you.”
The baby takes the toy, inspecting it with wide eyes before promptly attempting to shove it into Angie’s mouth. Mick chuckles softly, taking the toy from her and showing her how to play with it.
“Hey, Angie, be gentle,” Mick instructs his dog, who seems just as excited as the baby about the playtime. As Angie retrieves her own toy and lays down beside the baby, Mick joins them on the floor, ensuring the little one doesn’t get overwhelmed.
Time flies as they play together, the baby’s giggles filling the room. Mick can’t help but smile at the simple joy on her face and he finds himself falling into a gentle rhythm with her.
After a while, the baby’s eyelids start to droop and her fingers loosen their grip on the toy. Mick smiles, knowing she’s getting tired. “Looks like someone’s ready for a nap,” he whispers, carefully picking her up and cradling her in his arms.
Angie follows them as they make their way to the nursery. Mick gently lays her down in the crib, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. “Sleep tight, little one.”
As he turns to leave the room, Angie hesitates by the crib, looking back at the baby with a soft whimper. Mick chuckles, scratching behind her ears. “Don’t worry, Ang. You’ll be here when she wakes up.”
Runaway Baby
Max, face flushed, darts through the paddock, narrowly avoiding a mechanic pushing a cart of tires. “I swear I just saw her here!” he shouts, barely avoiding a collision.
Lando, holding a stuffed bear, pants as he catches up, “I turned around for a second and she was gone! How does someone so small move so fast?”
Charles is on the phone, trying to speak over the noise, “We’ve got everything under control, just ... some tiny mishaps. Nothing to worry about!”
“Tiny mishaps? Charles, that’s an understatement!” George interrupts, waving a baby bottle in his hand.
Lance, coming out of the Aston Martin garage, looks worried, “Checked the garages, no sign of her. We need a strategy guys, like an actual race strategy but without Ferrari messing it up this time.”
George chimes in, “How did we lose her? There were six of us and one of her!”
Mick looks pale, “I was showing her my dad’s old helmet and turned around for one second to put it down. Then she just toddled away while I wasn’t looking!"
Suddenly, from a distance, there’s a familiar baby giggle. They turn to see a reporter, microphone in hand, crouched down in front of a camera. Their sister sits beside him, happily babbling away, reaching out for the fuzzy microphone cover.
The reporter, clearly amused, asks, “And who do you think is going to win the race today?” The baby, enthralled with the microphone, tries to chew on it.
Lando sighs in relief, “Well, she’s got a future in media, that’s for sure.”
Charles approaches the duo, scooping up the baby and thanking the reporter. “Thanks for babysitting. You might have a new pundit here.”
The grid kids gather around, all breathing sighs of relief. Max ruffles his sister’s hair, “You gave us quite the scare, snoepje.”
“She definitely knows how to steal the spotlight,” Mick says with a chuckle.
You and Sebastian, having witnessed the chaos from afar, approach with raised eyebrows. You smirk, “You guys thought babysitting in the paddock would be easy?”
Lando grins sheepishly, “Definitely more challenging than a race, that’s for sure.”

Can I request #94 ☁️ with Jack Hughes?
For some reason this prompt was really hard for me to write. Everything my brain was coming up was super dark, so I hope you like this nonnie. Also I hope you don't mind I changed "they" to "someone"
Drabble Masterlist
"Did they hurt you?"
When you walked into the club, all you wanted to do was have a few drinks with your friends and dance the night away. All you wanted was a few hours disconnected from the world to forget about the stress of the week and the stupid fight you got in with your boyfriend Jack. Instead, you somehow lost your friends in the crowd on the dance floor. Suddenly alone and a little drunk despite only having a few drinks. All you could feel is your quickened heartbeat as you tried to push your way through the crowd. The club had way too many people and suddenly you regretted even leaving your little apartment. You were craving air, somehow you were pushed to the ground in the mush-pit that was the dance floor. Finally crawling back up, you turned your body and pushed yourself through the crowd.
It took you until you were outside to realize that your fishnet stockings were ripped in multiple places, your makeup was smudged from the sweat of being inside the hot club and your hands were covered in little cuts from people stepping on your hands. Standing outside you could feel the crispy cold air from the beginning of fall in New Jersey. Without even thinking you pulled out your phone and ordered an Uber to the one place you felt most safe.
Jack opened the door in shock to see you. Usually when you both had a fight you at least let each other cool off for a night. But once he took in your appearance, your slightly ripped clothes, the dried blood on your hands, the way you weren't breathing evenly his stomach dropped as he pulled you into his arms. He slightly kicked the door shut with his foot as he held you in the small entry of his apartment. As soon as you felt his arms wrap around your body, you clenched onto his t-shirt with your hands and fell into him as you sobbed. Your emotions from being intoxicated plus almost having a small anxiety attack in the club.
Without even thinking picked you up, automatically you wrapped your legs around his waist. One of his arms moving to pet your messy hair as he cooed in your ear. "shh baby, shh it's alright baby. your safe baby. promise." His promise making you cry a little harder maybe out of relief for knowing it's true. With your eyes closed and your head tucked into Jack's neck you didn't even know where he was carrying you until you felt him try to put you down.
"no. no. no" speaking for the first time since you got here. Jack held you tighter trying to reassure you that you were okay.
"baby I'm just gonna let you sit on the sink in the bathroom. I'm gonna wash your makeup off okay, and I wanna clean your hands." he whispered to you softly. Slowly you let Jack sit you down on the end of his sink, still standing between your legs. He reaches behind you in the cabinet next to the mirror and grabs his first aid kit and your makeup wipes he keeps in stock for you. Finally getting a good at your hands his jaw locks suddenly feel anger form in the pit of his stomach. "honey" he cooed at you, lightly grabbing one of your hands and you winced. "Did someone hurt you?" All you could do is nod looking down at your own hands. "Who?" he asked sharply, without a doubt thinking of ways to hunt them down in the moment.
"I got pushed to the ground somehow at the club." you admitted shyly suddenly embarrassed about being pushed around so easily. Jack grabbed an alcohol wipe and started lightly cleaning your hands.
"That's not okay." he said bitterly. "Where were your friends?" Even though he sounded bitter, his touch was soft as he was focused on cleaning your hand and then putting Neosporin on it.
"lost them in the crowd."
Finishing with that hand, he moved on to the next without saying a word. Then he threw away all the trash from cleaning your hands and pulled out a makeup wipe. He still hadn't spoken but you didn't need him to, just the fact that he was the one cleaning you up made you feel better. His eyebrows were creased focusing on getting your stubborn makeup off without having to put too much pressure on your face. His tongue slightly sticking out as he grabbed another makeup wipe, you closed your eyes your body relaxing to the feeling.
"baby?" Jack asked softly.
"hmm"
"Gotta make sure you don't have any other cuts. Do you wanna change here or in my room?" He asked his arms softly wrapping around you as you felt yourself craving sleep.
"bed. I wanna go to bed." you whined. Jack lightly chuckled. He carried you to his bed lightly sitting you down, without hesitation you flopped onto the bed.
"Oh no you don't" Jack said as he took your arm to pull you back up to sitting.
"I wanna go to bed." you complained again.
"And we can once you change." he reasoned.
"too tired you do it." you mumbled too tired to even open your eyes.
"okay honey if that's what you want." lightly kissing your forehead before letting you lay down on the bed, your legs hanging off the edge as Jack got you one of his t-shirts and boxers to change into. You could feel Jack struggling trying to change you but you couldn't bring yourself to change. He found another deep cut on your knee and cleaned it without you even twitching. He knew you were deep in sleep by now.
Finally he cleaned everything up and climbed into bed with you. He pulled you close to him and you slightly moved to form around his body. He didn't know if you were awake or not but he still kissed your forehead. "I'm sorry I wasn't there tonight." he whispered not expecting you to answer.
"It's okay. You cleaned me up and your here now that's more important." you mumbled wrapping your arms around Jack tighter and slipping back into unconsciousness.

The Three Letters
Summary: Sam tears her ACL during a game against WestHam, you get upset, Millie helps you understand, the team supports you and your Mum’s
Warnings: ACLs
Tumblr media
You were sitting on the bench next to Millie, wearing your jersey, you were an avid Blues supporter which isn’t surprising considering you had grown up at Chelsea, your Mum was in talks with Chelsea when she found out she was pregnant with you, she was worried that Emma may no longer want her, so when she told Emma about her situation she was pleasantly surprised when Emma said to her that they would sign a contract early, especially considering the Red stars were dropping her due to her pregnancy and that she was talking to other clubs. Emma was very supportive, through the pregnancy and after, she worked with your Mum and helped her get back to playing surprising quickly after you were born, she arranged sitters for you, she even sometimes look after you herself. Sam was very grateful to have found Chelsea, they accepted her from day one and they were her family. You loved Chelsea too especially Millie, Erin and Guro.
Sam was a little surprised when she found out she was pregnant, as 3 months prior she had decided to stopped IVF her fifth round had failed, or that is what the doctors had said, but her national teammates were adamant the doctors were wrong, she kept vomiting and had weird cravings so one camp she ended up doing a test and found out.
Today you felt slightly odd wearing your blue jersey, you didn’t want to upset your Mama, it was also the first time your Mum and Mama were playing against each other, you had just recently moved from your old apartment to your new one, as now you lived with both your Mum and your Mama. You had known Mama for most of your life, but you had never lived with her, and your Mum had never versed her in a Chelsea game, it was only ever in a Matilda’s game. So, you didn’t exactly know which team to cheer for, but you decided to stay true to your roots and support Chelsea. Blue was also a better colour than brown or claret as your Mama always corrected you, your Mum would laugh every time she did so.
It was the 80th minute and with the knowledge there would be a lot of stoppage time Emma had come over to the subs bench to talk, she stood with her back to the pitch just beside you, everyone on the bench wasn’t paying attention to the field but instead to Emma, Millie had told you to be quiet for the new few minutes, but as always if there was an emergency you could interrupt, you didn’t know if your Mum lying on the grass holding onto her knee was an emergency or not but you decided to interrupt anyway so you got on your knees to be closer to Millie’s ear and softly spoke to Millie “sgoose me Millie,” she turned her head from Emma to you so you continued “why Mummy on floor?” she whipped her head to where your little arm was pointing too before saying “Shit, Emma you might want to see this,” Emma quickly turned around and as she did the ref blew the whistle, the medics were quickly running onto the pitch towards your Mummy and your Mama had made her way beside her, bent down next to her squeezing her hand, she was saying something to her but you were obviously to far away to hear.
“Fuck” Emma yelled causing you to get frightened, you jumped into Millie’s lap and a small tear rolled down your cheek before Millie hugged you saying, “It’s alright,” Emma must’ve seen your actions out of the corner of her eye because as quick as she was to turn around she sat down in your now empty seat.
“Sorry, y/n/n, I shouldn’t have done that, I’m just a bit stressed currently” she said softly as she rubbed your arm, you nodded before leaning back on Millie who placed her head ontop of yours, “it can’t be happening”.
“It might not be, she isn’t crying,” Millie replied optimistic.
“Mummy never cries, what Mama says” you replied, both women sighed, what you said what exactly true, your vision began to blur slightly as tears welled up in your eyes, you could sense something was wrong, you saw the stretcher being brought on and a few tears fell from your eyes, they landed on Millie’s arms which were wrapped around you, she squeezed you slightly tighter at the sensation and turned her head to Emma “Do you need me? I know you said you might want me to go on but like do you need me?”
“No no. Go. Take her. This has to be overwhelming for her, maybe head down to the medical room so you’re there for when Sam gets down there. Her and Sam matter more than the game,” Emma replied whole heartedly.
“Thank you, Emma, I’ll keep you updated” Millie replied before getting up, she gathers your things and headed down to the medical room. Your Mum was brought in shortly after, already having had scans, the doctors updated Millie and told her was going on, the three of you sat in the room in silence, Sam quickly falling asleep, Millie knew there would be a lot going through her head and so just let her be.
The door opened gently, and your Mama walked in, she kissed your forehead before she spoke, “Hey, baby girl, how is Mummy?” she ruffled your hair.
“Hurt”, you reply.
“ACL” Millie said informing your Mama better, your Mama’s face broke at the three letters and she turned to your Mum who had just woken up from her brief nap, her face relaxed slightly at the sight of her fiancé, they hugged as a silence filled the air, which was soon broken by your Mum, “Kris-” her voice broke as Mama interrupted her “Hey, it’s okay, I’m here now, I’ve got you, we’ll get through this together, I promise, I love you” your Mama said as your Mum broke down in tears, you started crying too, you didn’t know what was going on, your Mum was upset, your Mama seemed upset, Emma was stressed. Your cries made Sam cry even more, “I’ll just take her out for a second, I’ll calm her down and try to explain to her what’s happened” Millie told both of your Mum’s, who nodded gratefully, before she got up, holding you in her arms and walked out, she opted not to stop in the locker room and instead she walked out into the hallway and found a more quite spot, before she slid down the walk and sat on the ground, she positioned you so that you were sitting in her lap facing her, you just leaned into her and sobbed into her chest, she rubbed your back as she tried to sooth you, after a while you leant back at looked at her, “Millie,” “yeah?” she replied softly, “What’s wrong with Mummy?”
“Well, your Mummy’s hurt her knee,” “Oh, will she get better” “Yeah, she will” “Is it bad?” Millie nodded, before she pulled out her phone, she quickly did something on it before showing you a photo “See this. This is a knee, and this is a ligament”, the ligament was highlighted purple in the picture, “a ligament is sort of like a very strong rubber band, and this ligament is very important, it kind of holds your knee together, its an ACL, and your Mummy has hurt her ACL, and she will need surgery to fix it, and she will have to work very hard to get better, she will get better though, it will just take a long time. Does that make sense” you nodded in response still absorbing all of the information.
“You’re oddly good at that Mils maybe you should become a teacher when you retire” a voice from above said, the voice held an amused but kind tone. Millie looked up to see Magda and Pernille stand in front of her. “We thought to just come and check that you and Y/N were okay,” Magda said as they both sat down either side of Millie. You smiled at both of them, and they smiled back. “We’ve had showers and everything, if you want, we can take Y/N so you can have a shower and stuff” Pernille offered.
“Thanks guys, that would be great.” She said to them before looking to you “Hey, I’m just going to have a shower quickly, but I’ll come back and then if you want, we can go see Mummy” she soft said to you. “Okay,” you replied before standing up and moving over to Pernille, you quickly found a place in her lap, and smiled at her again. Millie got up and went into the locker room, Magda shuffled closer to you and Pernille. “How are you feeling Y/N?” Magda asks, “Sad, and and I don’t know, why did Mummy have to get hurt?” you replied, for your age you were quite good at expressing your emotions and thoughts, it was something Sam had taught you, first with little amounts of sign then with words, it was important to her that you were able to do so due to her job and the fact that you would be around people often who didn’t know you inside out like she did.
Both women sighed before Pernille replied “I know, it’s unfair, isn’t it, and it’s also okay to not know how you feel, sometimes emotions are confusing, and sometimes they get to much but that is okay.” You just hummed and nodded in reply, Pernille’s words were oddly comforting. Magda whispered something in Pernille’s ear before she got up and went back into the locker room, she returned shortly later, with your water bottle, and blanket in hand, she sat back down handed you your water bottle, you took some big sips before handing it back to her, she then laid your blanket over you and within seconds you were asleep.
You had been woken up due to some movement and look up to find you were now in Millie’s arms, “Do you want to see Mummy now?” you nodded sleepily, Millie took you through the locker room and into the medical room, where your Mummy was.
“Hey, baby girl, I missed you.” Your Mummy told you; you could hear the sadness in her voice.
“Do you want her? She has been sleeping, probably will go back to sleep” Millie said to Sam, who nodded, so she carefully put you in Sam’s lap, your little legs were either side of her body, and you quickly snuggled into the familiar comfort of your Mum. “I love you Mummy, I will help you get better,” “Thank you baby, I love you lots, never forget that” she replied as she placed a kissed-on top of your head. The room was silent, as your Mummy just sat there, you in her lap and Millie in the chair adjacent.
You were half asleep when you heard your Mum mumble “I’m sorry” to Millie. “For what?” you felt her shrug, and a tear rolled down her cheek.
“Sammy, we’ve got you I promise, everyone was so concerned about you and already asking how they should help, I’m pretty sure little miss is going to get lots of sleepover invites but I did remind them that you love her and so maybe offering to take her away and possibly leaving you on your own wasn’t the best idea.” You felt your Mum’s chest vibrate as she laughed at what Millie had just said before Millie continued “I’ll be here every step of the way, if you need anything, anything at all I will come over and help, even if it’s just a square of chocolate, but in all seriousness we will all help you, with anything, I will literally be a text or call away.”
____
They next week was tough, for all three of you, you got sick, Sam had just had her surgery and Kristie was looking after both of you whilst also still training and playing at West Ham, however to ease the load Steph came over to visit, Dean had gone away and she was lonely or at least that’s what she said so that your Mum’s didn’t feel worse than they already did about her staying over and helping.
About 2 months into your Mum’s injury you went away on a Team Trip with the team but it was Emma and Millie who took you, they promised Sam that they would take extra special care of you in which they did, you had an absolutely fantastic time, you got lots of treats, got to stay up late, helped Emma with training, and even got to walk out with Emma as coach, during the line ups at one stage. The Matilda’s Olympic Qualifier Squad was being announced and so Sam was having a hard time emotionally with her injury, so Millie and Emma decided that they would take you with them.
______
After a long 9 months you Mum made her return, it was a home game and the fans went wild, you were just happy that your Mum was happy again.

The Wonder Twins Universe
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
After the media photos you went to the Wonze household. You asked Lucy who was teaching her Spanish, you wanted to learn the language so you could have a better communication with the team and the fans. Barca made the effort to sign you so least you could do was to try to speak Spanish. After a while you told them that you wanted to rest so you could be ready for tomorrow.
As soon as you entered the guest room you called Leah.
“y/n!! I’ve seen the pictures that Barca posted! I hate to admit it, but Barcelona’s jerseys really suit you.”
“Thanks Lee! I can’t believe it really happened. I’m really here.”
Leah immediately saw how your eyes shined when you told her everything you did during your day, how the girls treated you during your short interaction with them and how everything went with Jonatan.
Leah knew that you had found your home. During your whole time at Arsenal, you did everything you could for the club however, you never talked about the club with so much passion as you were talking about Barcelona and Leah couldn’t have been happier for you.
“Sis, I’m so glad for you. You are making your dreams come true.”
“Yeah, I must thank you for that. If you hadn’t talked with me, I would probably have signed the extension. So, thank you Lee, thank you for being the best twin I could have. You are the most important person in life so I wouldn’t had been able to leave if you weren’t ok with it.”
As soon as those words left your mouth Leah started crying. No one would be able to understand the bond that you guys had and how much you meant to each other. After all you guys were the wonder twins.
After talking for some more minutes the call ended as you had to prepare everything for tomorrow, your first training session with the team.
Before falling asleep you couldn’t help but to think again about those beautiful brown eyes.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
“y/n do you have everything?”
“Yep, got everything! We can leave Kei!”
It was the day of your first training session with Barca. You wouldn’t lie if you said that you were nervous.
Lucy and Kei were going to take you to training as you didn’t have a car yet, they had been nothing but wonderful hosts to you. You were glad to have them as friends.
Before the session started Jonatan talked with you about how training worked, which was going to be your schedule and what he had planned for you. He wanted you to keep playing as a defensive midfielder however, he wanted you train once a week with the forwards so the transition to an offensive midfielder was easier for you.
Mapi made sure to take you under her wing, she knew what it felt like to be the new one. When Mapi moved from Atletico to Barca it was difficult for her so every time there was a new person joining them, she made sure that they felt welcomed.
With you she felt different, she felt as if you guys had been friends in another life.
While you immediately clicked with her, you felt as if you had known her your whole life.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Exhausted
That was how you felt after your first training session. The session was so much more intense than the ones you did in Arsenal, and you realized why Barcelona was a top team. Their winning mentality, their passion for the game and their hunger for more trophies had you amazed.
You were walking towards the locker room when you heard that someone running towards you. It was Mapi, the only moment that you guys separated was when you went to do some exercises with the other midfielders.
“y/n! How do you feel after your first session?”
“To be honest I feel exhausted, but I enjoyed every single minute.”
“I know what you mean. This team is just different from others. This team is just special.”
Mapi left you so you could take your shower and go to have a well-deserved rest.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
You were waiting in your cubicle for Lucy and Keira to be done so you guys could go back to their apartment when you heard that someone was next you.
“y/n, I’m glad to see you again!”
“Thanks Ale! Can I call you that? Sorry if I’m overstepping, I heard Patri call you that and I thought that it was ok?” You stopped your rambling when you heard her laughing. It was the most beautiful noise that you had heard.
“Stop rambling don’t worry y/n, you can call me Ale.”
“Then if I can call you Ale, you can call me y/nn”
“Nah, I think I’ll stick with wonder. After all aren’t you a wonder twin?”
You continued talking with Alexia, there was something about her that had you captivated.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
As soon as that laugh left Alexia’s mouth Mapi’s head turned around and looked at you and at Ale. She hadn’t heard her genuine laugh in months. After Ale tore her ACL Mapi was afraid, she wouldn’t be the same. Alexia had to put a strong facade for the club and for the national team, she smiled and laughed but Mapi knew that those were fake, so Mapi was surprised to see her comfortable with someone that she just had met.
Mapi couldn’t help but to look at you and Alexia with a soft small. Ingrid approached her also smiling and spoke.
“You know elksling, I have the feeling that y/n will fit in perfectly here and her joining us won’t only help us inside the pitch.”
“You’re right mi amor, she is just what the team needed.”

A Reputation for Good Taste
Misa x Reader, ~3.5k words, part 2/?
Part 1 here
Another part! Again, deeply unproofread, so apologies for any errors.
“I’m sorry, what??” Your friend made a show of rolling over to look directly at you where you lay, bundled in her bed. “You’re telling me that Alma cheated on you, then you drove her mistress home and somehow ended up seducing her into giving you free tickets to a football match? Actually, I’m not surprised about the Alma thing, sorry, but the rest is beyond me.”
“Maya!” You blushed hard. “None of that is what I said! Well, except for the Alma thing. I did not seduce María, and please don’t call her Alma’s mistress. All I did was drive her home and probably make her uncomfortable by crying about how I’m a bad aunt. She definitely only offered the tickets because she feels bad that my girlfriend cheated on me with her. It was so obvious that she thought she needed to do something to apologise.”
“If all she felt was guilty about Alma I hardly think she would go to the lengths she did, but out of courtesy to your broken heart,” she fixed you with a look, “I won’t argue about this right now.”
“Thank you, Maya.” You mumbled, then, “I don’t even know if my heart is broken. I’m angry at Alma for doing something so stupid to both of us, but it’s really been getting worse for a while, hasn’t it?”
“Oh honey, it has, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.” She lifted the covers between you. “Now come here and let me cuddle you.”
You rolled over and let her pull you against her chest, relaxing into the comfort of your friend’s arms.
“I think my heart broke a while ago, but I really wish we would talked instead of this.” She just squeezed you tighter and you drifted to sleep.
--
You awoke the next morning alone in Maya’s bed, the sounds of her in the kitchen with Marc, her boyfriend, faintly audible from through the closed door. Your first thought was about Alma, and whether she had bothered to say anything to you since you left the flat. You quickly found your phone and unlocked it, opening the messages app. At the top there was an unread message, but it wasn’t from Alma. You tapped it open anyway.
María: Hi, good morning! I hope you are feeling okay and that your friend is taking care of you. I talked to the club and the tickets will be no problem and no cost. I’ll give you the details later :)
María: Do you have a jersey for the game?
Maria: It’s El Clásico, you have to wear one.
You felt a blush rise as you read the first message. It was sweet, but you were also a little embarrassed to think that María knew you needed taking care of. You quickly typed out a reply.
Me: Thank you so much, you have saved my aunt reputation and Luisa’s trip! And I am okay, thank you for asking. Between my old friend and a certain new friend who has gone out of her way to do me a big favor I’m feeling better.
You wrote and deleted the last line several times before hitting send, unsure how María would take it. You didn’t have to wait long to find out, the little dots that showed she was typing popped up after just a few seconds.
María: I think your new friend would be very glad to hear that, and glad to hear she is your friend, even if the circumstances you met in were not ideal.
María: You didn’t answer my question, do you have a jersey?
There was no resisting the grin that spread on your face as you read her message.
Me: Luisa definitely has a jersey, I got her one for Christmas.
María: I didn’t ask if Luisa had one, I asked if you did ;)
Me: Hmm, I think I have an old Barça one lying around somewhere.
You figured if she worked for worked for Real Madrid she must have a healthy animosity for the rival club, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a little fun about it.
María: We will discuss that later, but I might let it slide if it’s an Alexia kit. Sounds like you are in need of something to wear on Saturday. Green or white?
Me: Green?
María: Yes, it will bring out your eyes. Good choice!
María: Meet me for coffee? I will give you the jersey. Before you ask, it doesn’t cost me, I promise :)
Your head was spinning, but somehow you didn’t really mind. You weren’t about to turn down the offer for coffee, if for no other reason than to buy María acoffee as a thank you.
Me: I’d love to. Let me know when and where, I am off work today so anytime works.
She sent a link to a cute looking coffee shop and said to meet her there at 3 before signing off to get back to some work. You were still giving your phone a bewildered smile when Maya opened the door to her room to check in on you.
“My god, please don’t tell me Alma has sent you some ridiculous make up text that has you falling back under her spell!” You looked up at her words, startled and confused.
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about the lovesick smile you were just giving your phone when I walked in.” You scoffed in response to Maya’s words, but still felt a sudden urge to keep your conversation with María to yourself until you had a better idea of what was going on.
“I’m just smiling at the death march sightseeing tour mum has the family on today. I was planning to meet up with them, but the play by play is equal parts funny and frightening.” It wasn’t really a lie, you knew your mother well enough to know that your prediction was probably true, and you really were going to meet up with them. It just wasn’t exactly what had you smiling, or the afternoon plan you were most looking forward to.
Maya looked like she might say something more, but a particularly loud clang from the kitchen had her hurrying quickly back out. Alone again, you decided it was long time to get yourself ready for the day.
--
Dressed and showered, you caught Maya and Marc as both were headed out the door to work. Maya had instructed you to be back for dinner with the two of them, but otherwise you had free reign and your spare key. Sipping the cup of coffee one of them had left on the counter for you, you pulled out your phone and called your mum.
A short itinerary run-down later, you had plans to meet up outside their hotel and a half day of sightseeing between you and your unexpected coffee plans. That left only one other call to make, and it was one you didn’t want hanging over your head any longer. You dialed the number and listened as it rang through three times before you heard the other end pick up. When she didn’t say anything, you spoke first.
“Alma.”
“I know, I’m sorry.” She answered, the guilt unmistakeable in her voice.
“I’m sorry, too.” You sighed. “It was a shitty thing to do, though. I didn’t deserve that.”
“You didn’t.”
“Did you want me to see? You had to have known I wouldn’t be out that late.” You couldn’t help but ask. Her silence was all the answer you needed. “Okay. I’ll stay at Maya’s another night, but can you have your things out after that?” Thankfully, she had moved in with you only a few months back when her lease ended. Almost everything was yours, and you wouldn’t have the added insult of losing your flat along with your girlfriend.
“Yeah, I’ll pack everything today. I really am sorry.” You could hear her holding back tears, and you were struck by a pang of affection and sympathy for her. As cruel as cheating on you was, the last few months had been hard for both of you, and falling out of love with her first hadn’t been particularly kind either.
“Thank you, Alma. I hope things work out for you.”
“You too. I’ll miss you.” She ended the call, and you felt the weight on your chest ease.
--
It had been a long morning with your family, but you were immensely happy to have spent the time with them. Mum’s heavy-handed tourguiding made everyone laugh, but she had done her research well, and you were glad for it. Even after living in Madrid for three years, you still hadn’t taken the time to see all the sights. Plus, everything was more enjoyable with Luisa dragging you along to point out the best bits. You walked double the steps, but it was worth it to be honored as the most interesting adult, and you loved any opportunity to hear more about what her latest activities and interests were.
Having arrived a few minutes early to the coffee shop, you were lost in reflection on your family’s antics when the light touch of a hand on your elbow pulled you into the present. You jumped a little at the contact, and felt the hand grip a little tighter to steady you. It only took you a moment to look up and catch the owner’s warm brown eyes. As soon as you recognized her, María tugged you forward gently into a hug, and you sunk into the contact.
“Hi.” She said, releasing you to arm’s length.
“Hi, how are you?” You responded a little breathlessly as her hands finally fell away from your arms.
“Better now.” She answered you with a smile. “Have you been here before?” You shook your head no, returning her smile. “Good. It’s my favorite and I’m glad I get to introduce you to it. Come!” She pulled the door open and gestured for you to step inside. Stepping through the entrance, you were hit immediately by the rich smell of coffee, and you paused to appreciate it. You looked over your shoulder as María entered behind you and spoke with joking reverence.
“I think I’m in love already.” She chuckled and nudged you ahead with her own shoulder.
“You haven’t even tried it yet, keep walking!”
The two of you approached the counter and greeted the barista. You inclined your head to María to order first, and after a moment’s hesitation, she requested a café con leche Before the barista could give her a total, you ordered your cortado, card already in hand to cover both. You turned to look at the woman next to you and she raised her hands in mock surrender.
“Any pastries you recommend?” You asked, still looking at her.
“Everything is good, but my favorite is probably the pear tart.” She answered, and you looked back to the barista.
“One of those too, please.” She nodded, then recited the total and let you hand her your card. After ringing you up, she retrieved your pastry and passed it over on a plate with two forks.
You followed María to a quiet corner with an empty table. She pulled out one chair before walking to the other side and sitting down.
“Can’t risk you dropping our tart.” She said with a wink when you gave her a look. You rolled your eyes, but still felt a blush as you set the plate down carefully and took your seat. Her fingertips quickly snagged the edge of the plate, sliding it to her side of the table. It didn’t exactly bother you, but with her earlier chivalry you weren’t expecting her to immediately lay claim to the shared treat. You watched as she industriously carved out a bite with one of the forks, clearly taking care to perfect the crust to filling ratio and center a perfect slice of pear on the wedge she cut. Her focus was charming, but your mouth was nearly watering waiting for your turn.
“You have to have the perfect first bite, my reputation for having good taste could be on the line here if you aren’t impressed.” She spoke as she finally lifted her fork, extending it toward you with a shy smile. There was a burst of warmth in your chest as you realized the care she had taken was for you, even if it was only to prove she made the best choice. You opened your mouth and closed your eyes, leaning forward slightly to meet her over the table. Her free hand was loosely cupped under the fork to catch any crumbs, and it brushed your chin gently as you closed your lips over the forkful of tart. You tilted your head back as María pulled the fork away, instinctively raising your own hand as well. The back of her hand was soft where your palm met it, and she let it rest against yours for a moment before pulling away. Her trailing fingers were far from your mind, however, as soon as you began to chew the bite of tart. The flavor was divine, sharp and sweet and fresh all at once, paired with a perfectly buttery-flaky-crisp crust. María let out a burst of laughter and a fist pump at the wide-eyed nod you gave her when she asked if her reputation was secure, which in turn had you covering your mouth as you tried to swallow through a growing smile.
A barista calling out your orders had María quickly standing, waving off your offer to help, and gave you a chance to sneak a second bite and collect your thoughts for a moment. You felt silly for being so charmed by María’s kindness, from her it seemed more like second nature. Her actions, while some were a little over the top, felt like they came from a combination of genuine thoughtfulness and her desire to make you laugh. It struck you after a second, you felt taken care of. Not in the big-gesture way that Alma always wanted you to exhibit, hinting at big gifts and dramatic arrivals at her office to sweep her away to Ibiza, but something much gentler. It was nice, you realized-- both to be taken care of and for the acts to be so unpretentious.
“For you,” a hand touched your shoulder and your cortado was placed in front of you, “and for me!” María set her own cup down and took her seat, smiling and waving her hand dismissively as you thanked her.
The conversation flowed once again between the two of you, and you enjoyed it even more than you had the previous evening in your car. You managed to draw out the tart, each taking smaller and smaller bites until finally María nudged the plate toward you and insisted you take the final piece. You brought out a chuckle from her by solemnly confessing that you’d taken an extra bite while she fetched the coffees, and she happily stole the plate back to finish it off herself. With the food out of the way, you were both focused on each other, and you felt the heat of her gaze as she listened carefully to everything you said.
You covered a wide variety of topics, learning about her family and friends, her love for music, and the meaning behind some of her tattoos. She didn’t speak much about her work, but you could tell she was driven and passionate. You shared plenty in return, her open interest in what you said and thoughtful questions leading you down plenty of tangents, including a retelling of your family’s antics that had you both laughing. The two of you were so engrossed in the conversation, that it wasn’t until your phone started ringing that you realized how much time had passed.
“It’s the friend I’m staying with, I better answer.” You told María, who gave you a thumbs up as you stood to move a few paces from the table before you answered. “Hi Maya.”
“Girl, where are you?” She asked, skipping over any greeting. You looked down at your watch and realized it was after six. Not time for dinner yet, but Maya was no doubt expecting you to be there when she returned from work. You caught María’s eyes on you and rolled your own dramatically at her as you replied.
“Sorry Mum, I’m out with a friend and we lost track of time. I’ll be back soon. Do you need me to pick anything up on the way?” You could very nearly hear Maya’s eyes narrowing on the other end of the line.
“What friend? I know all your friends, they’re my friends. Unless…” You winced as she trailed off, realizing you didn’t want to have this conversation within earshot of María. “You’re with Alma? Or Alma’s m—”
“Okay! We can talk about this later!” You cut her off firmly, feeling your face heat as you wondered how audible Maya’s voice was from your phone speaker. “Also,” you continued, thinking it might be best to clarify once and for all, “I ended things with Alma officially this morning, so safe to assume I’m not with her.” Maya’s honest-to-god cheer was a bit embarrassing, but you did feel a little like cheering yourself, so you chose not to mention it.
“I’ll expect all the details when you get here. Be safe until then, love you!”
“Love you too.” You ended the call, looking down at your phone a few moments longer than necessary before raising your head to look at María. She had an unreadable expression, but quirked an eyebrow at you when you met her eyes.
“Your friend seems very fun.” She said, then after a pause, “sorry to hear about Alma.” It felt like she was giving you the option to choose whether you wanted to talk about it, which you appreciated.
“I’m not really sorry,” you said, “it should have happened a long time ago.” María kept her gaze on you, not interjecting, face carefully neutral. It reminded you of when you first looked at her in your lobby. In a quieter voice, you continued. “I don’t wish it did, though.” María’s easy smile was familiar to you already, but her lips didn’t curve this time. You felt a strong urge to leave quickly, or even better, for the floor to open up beneath you. Closing your eyes, you heard the chair scrape as she stood. How predictably thoughtful of her to leave you to recover from your embarrassment. Just as you listened for her departing footsteps, you were caught off guard by two strong arms wrapping around you in a tight embrace. Your eyes opened in surprise, but it didn’t take you long to squeeze just as tightly back, relief coursing through you. María’s face pressed into the side of your neck, and you felt her speak, but the words were too muffled to hear. The two of you held each other close a while longer, before she pulled back enough to look at you.
“This might be the strangest friendship I’ve had, but I’m so glad I met you.” She said, smiling softly. You returned her smile, and couldn’t resist saying,
“maybe Alma did both of us a favor in the end.” She gave your shoulders a squeeze in lieu of answering, but spoke after a moment.
“I had better send you back to your friend before she grounds you, I would hate for you to miss the game because you aren’t allowed to leave your room for a week.” It made you laugh, but the possibility is more likely than you’d like to admit. Maya had a greater chance of grounding you than your own mother did, in all honesty. It’s enough to spur you into action, and, after returning your dishes to the counter, the two of you made your way out of the cafe. You hugged one more time, then parted ways, but a shout of your name had you turning around before you made it to your car.
“I almost forgot to give you this!” María held out a folded piece of bright green fabric to you. “It’s the whole reason I dragged you out here after all.” You took it from her and unfolded it, quickly realizing it was a Real Madrid jersey, though not in the colors you were used to seeing.
“I thought you were joking when you said green!” She laughed in response to your confusion and explained that it was a goalkeeper’s jersey, hence the bright color.
“I brought a regular one as well if you prefer.” She added, sounding a little uncertain.
“No way, this is much better,” you held it up to your chest, “does it bring out my eyes like you said?” She leaned in a little closer, reaching out to lift the fabric up to your cheek.
“Absolutely.”
--
That evening after you returned to Maya’s and took a longer look at the jersey you sent María a text with a picture of the back of the jersey.
Me: This Misa better be good if I’m wearing her name on my back
María: Don’t worry, I wouldn’t let you wear her name if she wasn’t

— dad!jude bellingham headcanons !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: dad!jude bellingham x fem!reader
req: could you write dad!judebellingham ml <3
note: i tried writing headcanons because i feel like my writing is very 👎👎🍅🍅🍅 at the moment, i hope you'll like it still !! reblogs are VERY appreciated since the tags are in a silly goofy mood right now #useless 😝🤪
tag list: @ceofmercedes <3
it's well established on judeblr that he is a girl dad, so girl dad it is
i think he would spiral a bit over the fact that you're growing a whole human being in you
he would say random shit like “no but do you feel her legs grow ?”
and you're like 😐😐😐 of course not
but the poor boy is just clueless 😪
he would always remind you of how you're the most beautiful woman on earth, even when you're crying your eyes out because ron fell off his chess piece in the philosopher's stone
now,, i think we're all well aware he would spoil your daughter rotten
getting her new clothes or new toys whenever he passes in front of a store because “she might need it one day”
but !! he would never let her turn into a “daddy i want a squirrel” kinda girl
you would both make sure she's very well mannered because he is very aware his parents' education played a big part in who he is today
i feel like being strict wouldn't be a problem for him either
yk being the eldest in his family, he wouldn't be swayed by your girl's pleading eyes when she acts wrong
he would 100% cry on her first day of pre-school (it's the cancer in him)
and he would try to drop her / pick her up from school as much as he possibly can with training and stuff
if you speak another language, you'd learn it to your daughter and use it to talk shit about jude 🤭
“have you seen what he wore today ?” “yeah daddy's shirt is very ugly”
in my case she would say quoicoubeh to him
i feel like he'd get so frustrated and start sulking amd pouting before your daughter reassures him
okayy bc it's spooky szn rn 😋
family matching costumes !! (call it corny 😡 i do not care)
monsters, disney characters or the adams family... he'd have soooo many ideas
he'd go trick or treating just to eat all the sweets
playfights with your daughter for their girl's attention
“it's my mommy !”
“oh yeah ? but mommy liked me before, so i'm the number one in her heart”
“it's not true ! mommy tell him he's a liar”
you can only roll your eyes because he really has beef with a whole child ???
but he's just a kid himself !!
everytime she gets to see uncle jobe she's overly happy
and jude would smack the back of his head when he says a bad word
(like he's not the one to curse at home yk 🙄)
is it a bad thing i think he would secretly hope your daughter has a bad dream so she'd have a good excuse to sleep in between you both ?
because he would
just to cuddle with her
then he regrets it when she wakes him up early in the morning
when she grows up he would be soooo invested in her school's dramas
like, actually asking for updates during dinner like he's dan from gossip girl
“what do you mean ben is dating his ex's best friend ?? he's such a di... bad person”
he'd be so gassed whenever she would wear his shirt (especially at school)
like you got all these clothes but chose this particular england shirt ? 🥹🥹
(as if half her wardrobe isn't his jerseys from every club he's been at)
(+ jerseys he exchanged with other players and signed jerseys by football legends)
he would sooo show her off to his teammates
“yeah my girl knows how to read now” 😎
and show every picture of her EVER
even the embarrassing ones
100% would introduce his friends as uncles
“say hi to uncle gio” (🫠)
now hear me out bc i think it's my favourite idea
he would totally look up hairstyles tutorials for your babygirl and try them out
once he gets the hang of it, he would never stop finding new ones
and since he doesn't have a sister, he would go to his mum for advice
on hair, but also girl stuff so he can pretend he already knows it all in front of you
you'd also go to his mum to advice tho, because being a parent (especially a mum) is never easy
and she would gladly share all of them with you
when you get into fights with jude your girl would always try to make it better
“dad says he's sorry”, “mum said she's not mad anymore”
of course you both know she's lying but somehow it always works ???
so your relationship is the prime example of what she's looking for when she grows up
and she secretly hopes she gets to love her s/o just like her parents love each other (too corny now ?)
anyways jude would treat you both like his little princesses, and he's so so so grateful he gets to live a lifetime with you two
or maybe more than two who knows 🚶‍♀️

chelseanews Y/N and Mason Mount spotted after the Chelsea vs Man United game today. Mason is seen to have stayed behind in London while the rest of the United team returned to Manchester.
Those near said to have heard the argument spiral from Y/N bringing up Mason’s departure from Chelsea, some said she began crying because ‘she did not find out Mason was leaving Chelsea until he was gone’.
It looks as if Mason did not let his so-called ‘best friend’ know he was leaving Chelsea.

fabrizioromano 🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 🚨 Mason Mount’s career at Manchester United is OVER!
After not returning to Manchester after their away game against Chelsea, Ten Hag has confirmed that at the end of the season, Mason Mount will no longer be a Manchester United player.
At the end of the season offers of up to €30M will be linked to other clubs. The biggest rumour being his return to Stamford Bridge, despite his feud with striker Y/N Y/L/N.
A club statement will be released within the next few hours, we imagine we have seen Mount play his last game in a United jersey.

Monthly visits.
Prompt: Honestly? I don’t know what this is, nor I know if it’s any good. The idea came from one of my midnight delusions when I think about stuff to write. Is this a kid fic? Yes? Kinda. Most probably. Do I care? No. Will there be sequels about it? Most probably. I still don’t know. Probably the sequels will feature more Alexia, but for now, you have to endure this 7.4k Drabble.
Actual prompt: In one of your monthly visits to a children’s hospital you meet Ava, she is going to change your life completely.
It was a hectic day for you in Barcelona today. Every month, whenever you had a day off, you would go to the local children’s hospital to support children with Leukaemia. Your younger brother had the same condition, so it has always been an important topic for you to support.
Every month you tried to convince one of your teammates, or from the girl’s team or the boys, to go with you. Usually, the children would go crazy if you brought them Pedri or Gavi. They would sign autographs and shirts and sometimes even get a ball and show off some of their tricks. When the club found out about this, they wanted to set up interviews and shootings in which they would broadcast or post your visits with them on social media, but you always said no. You liked this to be kept quiet, to not stress the kids, and not bring unwanted attention towards them; you weren’t there for the money, but just to give happiness to anyone you could.
You knew you weren’t the most famous athlete in the club, especially when you had the likes of Lewandowski, Pedri, and Gavi. On the girl’s side, you played for one of the most famous women’s soccer clubs and was one of the captains; well, if Alexia and Marta wouldn’t play in a game, which wasn’t very probable. But still, Alexia and Mapi were more famous than you; therefore, the children they tend to want their jerseys to be signed by them, but occasionally, some would recognize you, and you were delighted in signing and taking pictures or carefully playing with them whenever they wanted to.
You tried not to get too attached to the kids as you knew that they still had a deadly illness. Initially, it was hard, especially when you asked a nurse about a kid, and they would just give you a sad look. You would come home from the day and lay in your bed, absently trying to make sense of it. You hated seeing children suffer.
But there was a girl you met 5 months ago; she was brilliant but also a little prick. Her name was Ava. The first month you saw her, you brought with you Pedri. He was like a little brother to you, you got along great, and he was great with kids.
You went into her room, she was super excited to meet you both that she even asked for a double autograph. At first, you were confused by the request, but then you figured that the second autograph would be for a friend or a family member. So you went on normally with your day. The kids were all happy, you played Fifa with them and then, when it was time to leave, you decided to say goodbye to all of them. As you entered Ava’s room, you saw her working on something with her computer. As soon as she saw you, she shut it down very quickly.
“What are you doing?” You smile, walking to her. You were curious as to what she was doing. She was eight, so you knew that whatever it was, it was going to be something funny.
“Nothing!” She says quickly, hiding her computer behind her back.
You started to gently tickle her sides, conscious of her weak state. She started laughing, but soon you stopped and got her computer.
“If you open it, I will cry, and you will never come here ever again!” She threatens me, pouting.
“Why don’t you want to show it to me? Is it a secret boyfriend?” You smirk suggestively.
“No! Ew! Boys are gross!” She exclaims disgusted.
“I agree with you.” You say. “Boys are gross.”
“You can’t see it! It’s - It’s a secret.” She says, trying to grab the computer from you.
“Oh, come on! I’ll tell you one of my secrets if you tell me.” You try to convince her.
“Okay, but promise me that you won’t get mad.”
“Pinky promise.” You say, putting up your pinky and waiting for her to do the same.
You slowly open the screen and see a tab with eBay. She posted one of the two autographs she received today, with a picture of you and Pedri signing it. You start laughing and looking at her, amused.
“You sneaky little child! You are selling them?” You chuckle.
She crossed her arms unamused and replied as if it was the most obvious thing, “One is for me, and one is to sell.”
You look at her with a questioning look.
“My sister told me that I can’t buy too many books and video games because they are too expensive, so I buy them myself.”
“You are a little businesswoman.”
“Shh, you can’t tell anyone, especially my sister. She would get so mad. She hates it when I do this kind of stuff!”
“Your secret is safe with me.”
“Pinky promise?”
“Again?” You chuckle.
“Yes.” So you promise, then you stand up from the side of her bed and are about to leave when she asks, “Will you come back?”
“I come every month,” You say, turning around to face the little girl.
“If I’m already better, can I come here just to see you?” She asks shyly, hiding her mouth with her hands.
“Of course, you can!” You say goodbye to her and leave the hospital, waiting for Pedro. When you see him, you both get in the car.
“You know, today, I saw Ava again, and I saw her selling our autographs on the internet.” You laugh.
“That girl is sneaky!” He replies.
“She even insisted and made me promise not to say anything to anybody.”
Over the next three months, whenever you saw her, you would wink at her and make whoever was with you that day sign a double autograph for her. Then when you finished staring with the other kids, you would go into her room, and you guys would talk and play with cards. You would always question why she would never talk about her parents but only about her bigger sister and how great she was. You weren’t expecting her to be sixteen when you finally meet her. Her name was Lucia. You saw her as you were about to say goodbye to Ava. You went into her room, but she was already asleep, and Lucia was sitting on a chair next to her.
You thought both girls were sleeping, so you quietly left the room, but as you were about to close the door, you heard a quiet whisper.
“You must be y/n.” She states, rather than asking. She stands up and walks to you.
“Yes, that’s me. Are you Ava’s sister?”
“You know, she always talks about you.” She says, whispering and closing the room behind her.
“She always talks to me about you.” You say. “I think that as of right now, I know more about you than myself.” You try to joke, but she doesn’t laugh, leaving an awkward silence between you. Making you notice how tired she looks, as if she hadn’t slept in a long while.
“Do you want a cup of tea or coffee?” You offer.
“Nah, don’t worry.” She shrugs.
“Come on, I’ll pay for it. Five minutes, then I’ll get out of your hair.”
She slowly nods and then follows you to the cafeteria, which is open 24/7. Thankfully there was nobody there, so you could sit in peace.
You follow her as she sits down at a table, and then she breaks the silence.
“Why are you helping her?” She whispers.
“What?”
“Listen, I don’t know your intentions here, but she is really getting attached to you, and whenever you are done with these ‘trips’ to the hospital for the kids, she will suffer from it, and I don’t want that.”
“What are yo-“
“She has already lost so many people in her life; she doesn’t need another one.”
“Your parents are not in the picture anymore, right?” You ask.
She slowly nods. “It’s just me and her for now.”
“Where are you guys staying?”
“As you know, she is staying at the hospital.” She says as if she is stating the obvious.
“You?”
“That’s none of your business.”
“Listen, I know what it’s like to be in this situation; let me-”
“No, you don’t know that!” She says defensively.
“Ten years ago, I was you.” You slowly explain. “My brother, Nico, had Leukaemia, and I was in the same position as you. I was just a little bit older and could work. My parents didn’t give a shit about us. They said it was too much work to take care of Nico and wanted me out of the house because I was a footballer and gay. I didn’t have a support system. I was the support system.”
You take a deep breath and then continue. “Fortunately, I had a job, so I was able to take care of Nico and I, but not everyone is that lucky.”
“So you are saying that you feel bad for us?” She asks rhetorically, standing up from her chair, ready to leave.
“No, I don’t. When I started these ‘trips,’ as you say, five years ago, I told myself that I would never get too attached to any of the patients. But then I met Ava, and she is so smart and also a little sneaky, I grew fond of her.” You give her a light smile and continue.
“I know that the money she gets from selling autographs, t-shirts, and stuff, isn’t for buying books and video games, as she says, but for you guys to survive. I would love to help in any way. And I know that you probably won’t trust me. I wouldn’t trust a stranger either.”
Lucia sits again and looks at the table, playing with her drink. Looking almost guilty, as if you found out about a secret no one was supposed to know.
“I can’t do this anymore.” She barely utters, breaking the cold and defensive mask that she put on with you.
You slowly take her wrist, trying to reassure her. “You are stronger than you think.”
“I’m just so tired. She deserves better than me. She deserves a whole family. A better support system, and instead, she got stuck with me. I still need to finish school. I don’t have a paying job; how will we go through this?” She starts to silently sob. Hearing her cries breaks your heart; you stand up and circle around the table to hug her.
“You are already doing a great job. Ava is so proud and thankful for you. You are already doing the best you can, which is more than enough.”
She removes herself from the hug. And you continue, “Where are you staying? Not Ava, but you.”
“I’m staying during the night at a local women’s shelter. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s the best option.” She says shyly.
You couldn’t let her get back there.
“Come to my home with me. We have a spare bedroom, food, and whatever you need.”
She takes two steps back. “No no. You are already doing more than enough for us. This is too much.”
“Let me help you. You won’t leave her for too long. You need to rest too, so you can be there for her. Come on, go get your stuff. I’ll wait for you here.”
She just nods and goes to her sister’s room.
In the meantime, you text your girlfriend Alexia that Lucia will stay at your house for the night. After a few minutes, she reappears with a backpack. you exit the hospital and get to the parking lot.
You get inside your car, and she sits beside you. “I live fifteen minutes from here. I hope you are not scared of dogs because you are going to see one.”
“I don’t have a problem with dogs. I didn’t even know you owned one. Ava didn’t tell me anything about that.”
“Well, it’s not technically mine. It’s my girlfriend’s. And you will probably see her too.”
“Is she okay with me staying? Cause if that’s not the case, it’s okay.” She soon rambles.
“Don’t worry, she knows. Most probably, she won’t even know you are there. She is a sleepy head.” You smile, remembering how Alexia would never get out of bed if not for training.
“Is she a footballer too?”
“Yeah, it’s Alexia Putellas. I think you know her.”
“Oh my god! So the rumors are true.”
“Well, we tried to hide it.” You remark, slightly blushing, thinking that you actually hid your relationship well from the media.
“Not that much.” She laughs.
-
As soon as you get home, Alexia greets both of you.
“Que tal, mi amor?” She hugs you instead of kissing you and then focuses on Lucia.
“You must be Lucia. Hi, my name is Alexia.”
“Yeah, I know who you are. Here in Barcelona, everybody knows you.” She chuckles while your girlfriend blushes lightly.
You take her to your guest room and show her the bathroom. She takes a shower while you go to your kitchen, searching for Alexia.
You sit on top of the counter and ask her to come closer to you. She finds herself between your legs while you take hold of her shirt.
“I believe you owe me a kiss.”
“I’m sorry. I just didn’t know if you told her we were together or even if you wanted to kiss me in front of her.”
“Don’t worry, Amorcito.” You cutely rub her nose with yours, then put your finger to your lips, asking her to kiss you.
She kisses you sweetly, then gives you pecks everywhere on your face. First on the cheeks, then on the nose, on the forehead, and finally on the lips again. You smile at the action. Even though you had been together for three years now, she still managed to make you feel all fuzzy on the inside with even the smallest actions.
When she finished, you hugged her and stayed in her embrace until you heard a door open, and Lucia came down the stairs.
“Sorry to interrupt you guys.” She says awkwardly. “I just wanted to thank you guys again and say goodnight.” She quickly goes up the stairs, embarrassed to have interrupted something, not letting either of you reply.
“Go to the nena; I’ll get ready for bed.” Alexia encourages you.
You get to the guest room and knock on the door; you hear a faint ‘come in’ so you enter.
“I’m sorry I interrupted you guys.” She says she had her back on the head board, with the covers tucked to the stomach.
“You weren’t interrupting anything.”
“Thank you for letting me stay today. You really didn’t have to.”
“Nonsense, I’m happy you stayed. Honestly, I really needed some new energy around the house. Don’t tell Alexia, but sometimes living with her it’s like living with a granny.” You joke, earning a laugh from her, while you hear from the other room, “I heard you!”
“Ooh, she’s mad.” Lucia teases you.
“Nah, don’t worry, I said worse in three years of relationship.” Now turning back to serious, “Listen, I’m really sorry, but tomorrow I have training early tomorrow and-“
“Y/n, just tell me when I have to leave.”
“You can stay until you want; I can call you a taxi or take you to the hospital whenever me or Alexia come back from training.”
“I’ll be out of your hair in no time, don’t worry.”
“I don’t care, honestly. I know reaching out for help is difficult, but here is my phone number; if you need anything, just call me.” You gave her a note with your phone number, then affectionately caressed her cheek. “Good night Lucia.” You close the guest room door, turn off the light, and go to your room.
-
As soon as you enter your room, you are met with your girlfriend, who is cutely pouting on the edge of the bed. “I’m not a granny!”
“Yes, you are! You always go to bed early and make weird faces when you can’t see properly.” You tease her.
“I’m a footballer!”
“Yes, you are! A pretty darn good one!” You add. While literally pushing her onto the bed and getting on top of her.
“Get off me!” She says, trying to be serious. “I’m still mad at you!” She says while trying to squirm out of your grip.
“Nope! I’m sorry for calling you a granny. Will you forgive me?”
“Never!” She says, so you begin to tickle her sides. She started laughing while trying to remove your hands from her, but she couldn’t. “Okay, okay, I forgive you! Stop it!” You stop tickling her and get off her going to the bathroom.
You get ready for bed, putting on one of her nike shirts and a pair of soccer shorts, and then you plop on the bed beside Alexia. “Can I have cuddles, Amorcito?” You ask while stretching your arms, opening and closing your hands.
“Si, mi chiqui. Come here.” You put yourself on top of her and begin giving her sweet pecks in the middle of her chest. “No funny business tonight; la nena is sleeping two rooms from us.”
“I wasn’t going to do anything.” You say, continuing while smiling.
“I’m very proud of you today, Y/n.”
“I’m really sorry if I didn’t tell you beforehand.”
“Look at me.” She says, waiting for you to look at her.
“You did what is right and what everyone should do. Whatever you do, I will always support you.”
You give her a loving kiss on the lips, thanking her for the words. “Next month I’m coming with you. It’s been long overdue, and I want to meet Ava.”
-
The next day you wake up and go to see Lucia; you knock at her door, but she doesn’t reply, so you slowly enter the room. You found all of the bedsheets neatly folded and a note that thanked you for everything. You were a little disappointed, but you knew how difficult it was to trust people and accept help, especially when you are alone. You figured that she probably went to see her sister in the hospital.
-
The following month you finally brought Alexia with you. The kids would always ask you to bring her to the hospital, but unfortunately, she never had the time to do that with her busy schedule. You had already informed the hospital that you would come, and the children were thrilled to do something different rather than always boringly watching tv or reading some children’s book.
As Alexia greeted all the kids and played and joked with them, you went to see Ava, hoping that you would see Lucia too. You didn’t expect to see everything packed up and the two girls with their backpacks on, ready to go.
As soon as she saw you, Ava ran up to you, and you lifted her weak body, giving her a hug. “The doctor said I can go home now! I’m not sick anymore!”
“I’m so happy!” You say while hugging her a little tighter.
“So, who is it today? Who did you bring today?” She asks you excitedly.
“Why don’t you go and find out?” You say, indicating where Alexia is; she quickly squirms out of your embrace, exiting the room and leaving you alone with Lucia. Her eyes stuck to the floor from the moment you opened the door. She wouldn’t look at you.
“I’m really happy that she is finally healthy now,” You say honestly.
“That’s the most important thing.” She agrees weakly, finally looking at you.
“How are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling better now that she is better.”
“Where will you guys stay now?”
She hesitates, but then slowly, she starts, “I do-“
“Lucia! Look who came today with y/n!” Suddenly Ava came inside the room, dragging Alexia with her.
“Hi, Lucia.” Alexia waves at her, then focus again on Ava. “Y/n, how did you manage to convince Alexia to come here today?” Ava asks you in awe. “She is soo famous and the best player in the whole world!”
“I know! She really wanted to come, though, right?” You say, searching for Alexia’s confirmation. “Yes, of course!” She says, then kneeling in front of the small kid, “Y/n talks a lot about you.” She whispers, “She never talks about you, though,” She remarks, smirking. Alexia puts her hand on her hand, pretending to be offended.
“Who cares? I’m still better than her at football,” She whispers loud enough for you to hear, then sending you a cheeky wink; you react by poking your tongue out at her. This made Alexia earn a laugh from Ava and a chuckle from Lucia. She then drags Alexia out of the room, asking her if she could show her a trick with the ball.
“She’s her favorite player; our dad always brought us to your games.” She says sadly.
“I didn’t know you liked football.”
“I loved football, I even used to play it until a year ago, but now it brings out too many memories, so no football for me for a while.” She chuckles.
“Which position did you play?”
“Guess.”
“Center back?”
“Nah, striker.”
“Oh wow! I’m sure you were the top scorer in your team.” You nod, surprised.
“I was, I even was called up in La Masia, but my parents wanted me home, and then Ava got sick, so I never was able to go.”
“Oh wow! You were good then!”
“Don’t act too surprised!” She says, teasing you, hitting you on the shoulder.
“I’m not!” You say rubbing where she just hit you “If the circumstances were different, would you have wanted to go?”
“Yes? I guess, I don’t know? I loved football.”
“Not anymore?”
“I haven’t played in so long; I don’t think I even remember how to kick a ball.” She chuckles.
“Well, I guess we have to find out!” You say, while she looks at you puzzled.
“Come on, go get your stuff.” You say to her while putting your backpack on your shoulders, waiting for her to do the same.
“Where do you want to take me?” She says, looking at you puzzled.
“Don’t you wanna show off your skills?”
“I guess I don’t?”
“Come on, it will be fun!” You try to convince her.
“I don’t have cleats.” She tries to find an excuse.
“What’s your shoe size?”
“39, why?”
“I have the same size. If you want, you can use a spare pair of mine.” You offer.
“Why are you so nice to me?”
“I’m not being nice; this is me trying to show you that you, too, deserve to be happy, and you can have fun even if you think you don’t deserve it.”
“I-I don’t know what to say. I can’t leave her alone in the hospital; that girl has too much energy for a cancer patient.” She jokes.
“I think Alexia is keeping her busy enough. I genuinely think she is trying to steal my girlfriend from me.” She’s still not convinced. “Besides joking, Alexia is really good with kids, and she wouldn’t mind, but if it bothers you, we can bring her with us. Or they can come later on.”
“Oh, definitely, later on, I won’t embarrass myself with Alexia Putellas; I don’t think I could recover from that.”
“Oh, thank you! You know I am too a Barça player, right? And that I was the one that scored the winning goal in the last champions league, right?” You fake being offended.
“Oh, it was merely a tap-in.” She jokes, trying to rile you up. You knew she was joking, but you also knew this was a low blow to your confidence.
“Patri was the real hero in that Final, and I guess it was a tap-in, but it still brought us to the victory; that’s got to be worth something.”
“You know Ava basically woke up the whole floor when you scored that goal; she was so happy.” She smiles at you, quickly reminiscing that memory.
“Well, I can show you that I can score goals that are not tap-ins if you come with me.”
“Let’s see if you can do that!” She challenges you.
“If you win, I will get you two tickets to Camp Nou next year for every match you want to see, but if I win, you will let me help you.” You hesitate to say those words, hoping you wouldn’t push her away.
“Prepare to spend a lot of money because I never give up.” She teases you.
“You have some confidence, pequeña.”
“I’m not small!”
“Come on, go and say goodbye to Ava; we’ll leave in five minutes.”
As she exits the room to find Ava, you wait in there for her when you see your girlfriend appear from the door.
“Ava is wonderful.” She says while taking your hands.
“So wonderful that you would stay with her for another couple of hours?” You try while she gives you a puzzled look.
“What did you do, Y/n?” She asks, removing her hands from yours.
You tuck your arms behind your back, and shyly, you explain. “I’m taking Lucia to the field. Apparently, she played football, so I want her to have fun for a minute.” She doesn’t reply, so you continue, “But if it’s too much, I can bring her with me and Lucia, no problem. I just-“
“You are rambling, mi amor.” She says while grabbing you by the waist, trying to ground you. “You go have fun with her. I will come to the field after so we can play together.” She offers while smiling at you.
You give to get on your tippy toes and give her a small peck on the lips, “Thank you, Amorcito.”
“Just don’t have too much fun without me.” She grins, giving you a forehead kiss. You hear steps coming your way; you turn your head and see Lucia and Ava looking at you.
“You two are disgusting,” Lucia says, giving you guys a disgusted face while you just laugh at her. Ava instead looks at the two of you, trying to understand what the relationship is between the two of you. She looks at you and asks, “Is Alexia your wife?”
You choke on saliva, not expecting that question. After a mild coughing session, you received an annoying look from Alexia and Lucia.
Not that you didn’t want to marry her because she was the only woman you could see yourself growing old with, but you were just waiting for the right moment to propose. Honestly, you didn’t even know if she wanted to get married, especially to you.
You reply, “No, no, she is my girlfriend.”
“Wow, how did you land her?” She asks you curiously.
“Why is everybody bullying me today?” You say exasperatedly without even replying to the question. “Lucia, are you ready to go?”
After saying goodbye, you get in the car with Lucia and drive to the training facility.
“So I guess you don’t like the idea of getting married?” Lucia asks, breaking the silence.
“No no, it’s not that. I would love to get married, especially with someone like Alexia; she is incredible and so supportive.” You take a deep breath. “Do you want to know a secret?”
“Wait, are you going to propose?” She asks excitedly.
“I was planning to!”
“Oh my god!”
“Don’t you dare tell her! Or I swear I’ll get mad.”
“I won’t” She makes the movement of zipping her mouth with her hand and throwing the key away.
-
You get to the training facility a few minutes later; the field is closed, so Lucia looks at you and asks, “If it’s closed, how can we enter?”
“Can you keep another secret?” She nods, and you take out a key and unlock the door. “I was drunk after we had won our first Champions League, I don’t know why, but I decided I wanted the keys to the field, so I convinced Mapi and Patri to help me. Let’s just say that Alexia had to come out and help us because we were too drunk to keep quiet, and she didn’t want me to get in trouble. I got the keys, made two other copies for my accomplices, and slept on the couch for two days, but it was well worth it.” You say proudly.
“You know, when I imagined what you were like, when we would see you on tv or at the stadium, I pictured you differently.” She smiles at you while following you to the changing rooms.
“How did you picture me?” She asked curiously while handing her a spare pair of cleats.
“They call you the asesina silenciosa for a reason, you know?” While putting on the cleats, she continues, “You are always so cold and precise on the pitch, scoring and assisting in so many games, whereas in real life, you are basically the opposite. You are very nice, and you always try to help everybody, and a literal gay panic in front of Alexia; it’s so funny and very painful to see.”
“She’s just very beautiful and amazing, okay? Leave me alone.” You reply shyly, blushing a little.
“So, are you ready to get your ass beaten?” She asks you jokingly.
“You know that I’m a professional athlete, right? I get paid to play football.”
“Don’t get too cocky, Y/ln.”
You get on the pitch and begin passing the ball to each other; initially, she was a little rusty, but as soon as she got comfortable with the ball, you knew she had a lot of talent and potential.
“So favorite player?” You ask her.
“Messi. He’s just way too good and so great to watch.” She answers. “What about you?”
“All-time favorite, of course, is Messi too, but right now, I really enjoy seeing playing Rodri and De Bruyne.”
After passing the ball to each other and chatting, you begin doing some shooting drills and dribbling. You were shocked, to say the least; she was so good, she dribbled with ease, and her finishing skills were incredible.
The first time she dribbled past you, your ego got scarred for life, but then as time went on, you began cheating a little by holding her shirt or picking her up from the air and moving her whole body away from the ball. She would get mad at you, while you would just laugh it out, but she began to do the same thing to you after a while. By the end, you were laughing on the ground, trying to catch your breath.
As you both calmed down, she began talking. “I really missed it.”
“Playing football?”
“Yes, and having fun. You know, I couldn’t even touch a ball after our parents left us; my dad was the one that loved soccer and Barcelona maybe more than anything, probably more than his family. I tried playing soccer to make him proud of me so that maybe he could see and pay attention to me, but I guess it wasn’t enough. After Ava was diagnosed with Leukaemia, they told me they would have to go on a ‘work trip,’ but they never returned. And I stopped playing football.”
“I hope that this didn’t bring back bad memories. I know how it feels when you think you are not good enough, but if it helps, you are a great kid, Lucia. In these last months, you have proven yourself to be more than enough for Ava and your parents. Any parent would be proud of what you did for Ava; not everyone is capable of that or willing to do it. You have proved everyone wrong. You couldn’t be more proud of yourself.”
“Thank you, I really needed to hear that.” She breaks down crying.
“Come here.” You say to her while gently holding her while she cries. “Let it all out; I’m here for you.” After a few minutes, she stops; you keep hugging her, waiting for her to let go of you, when you hear a car arrive. “Your sister is here. Do you want me to come with you to freshen up?”
“No, no. I can go alone; just tell them I went to the bathroom.” She informs you.
“Will do, captain.” You say, giving her the military salute; she replies with a surprised chuckle and a ‘you’re so weird.’
As Alexia gets inside the pitch, you see Ava running towards you, giving you a crushing hug that makes you stumble from your sitting position on the grass to falling to your back on the ground.
“How did it go with Alexia? Did she behave well?” You ask the little girl.
“We stayed at the hospital, we played games and I pranked a nurse!” You hear the voice of Lucia from behind you, so you tell her sister to go to her and cheer her up. As she walks to her sister, Alexia sits next to you, and you turn to her.
“You are really good with kids.” She remarks.
“You too, you know. Would you ever want kids?” You ask her.
“I never thought about it, but I think it would be something I would like with you.”
“I think I need to help them. They deserve to have a house and a support system. Lucia is so smart and kind, and fierce. While, Ava is so full of energy, funny, and sneaky.”
“I love you, Y/n, and even though this is too early and I still haven’t fully processed every-“
“It’s too much for you. I get it. But they’ll be on the streets if I don’t help them. You must understand why I’m doing this, but I can’t do this without you.”
“We’ve been by each other’s sides for years; you think I’m gonna leave now? If you’d let me finish, Y/n, I would have told you to do it. I will always support you, and I kinda got attached to the Nena. So go through with it; you have my full support.”
“If it actually happens, our lives are going to change drastically, would you be ready for that?”
“I got you all for myself for three years; it’s time to expand our little family. Of course if they want to. Don’t push too hard; she is still scarred and scared to trust again. Be cautious.”
“I don’t know how I got so lucky.” You say beaming at her.
“I’m the lucky one.” She smiles while gently rubbing my thigh and then standing up.
She goes to Lucia and asks her if she wants to play some football with her; she is hesitant at first, but after a bit of convincing from you and Alexia, she eventually decides to play with her, but you know that she is holding back.
Alexia knew that something was wrong. Hence, she took the ball into her hands, and stopped the little competition that they were doing, “I’m not made of glass; you can play harder on me, you know.” She offers.
Lucia throws her hands in the air, “I’m not going to be the reason why La Reina got injured again.”
“I’m taller and stronger than you; you won’t injure me.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.” She chuckles while they return to playing, Lucia clearly getting more physical.
You laughed at their interaction and how Lucia worried about hurting Alexia;.while Alexia just wanted to have fun. After a while of playing, Alexia turned her head to you, mouthing the words “She’s good”, you respond by nodding approvingly, shifting your focus on the little child next to you, who at the moment was very quiet.
“Did you get your autograph from Alexia?” You ask her, trying to break the silence.
She slowly nods, still looking at her sister, then turns to you. “Yes, only one, though.”
“You didn’t want one for you?”
“No, I only got one for me; I didn’t want to sell hers.” You see her softly yawn, trying to keep open her eyes.
“Did you have fun today?”
She nods, then looks again at her sister, who was trying to dribble past Alexia, “I hadn’t seen her that happy since before I got sick.” She smiles like a proud sister, showing signs of her tiredness again.
“Are you tired?” You ask her.
“No.” She says defensively while crossing her arms, yawning again. You chuckle at her, finding it adorable how she tries to hide how much she wants to sleep.
“Yes, you are!” You say, poking her side. “You can nap if you want; I’ll watch out for your sister for you.” You offer.
She slowly nods and then moves near you; you didn’t expect her to sit between your legs, curling on your chest. You were shocked; you didn’t know what to do, so you just put your hands on her tiny body and rubbed her back. “You’re comfier than the grass.” She says, dozing off to sleep. You kiss the top of her head and then whisper, “Go to sleep, Nena.” And she did.
You were physically in a very weird position, as you knew that you would be getting cramps in a couple of minutes, while mentally, you couldn’t nor remember the instance of ten years ago when you were holding your brother in the same position you were with Ava. She reminded you of Nico, both of them had the same personality and were too smart for their age.
Trying to get more comfortable, you slowly sink to the ground from your sitting position. At the same time, Ava gently stirs, repositioning herself, fisting your shirt with her tiny hand, not wanting you to let go, even though you wouldn’t go for the world. After a few minutes, you doze off and get woken up by a light caress on your cheek. You slowly open your eyes, Ava is still sleeping soundly, and on your side, Alexia is waiting for you to wake up.
“Mi Chiqui is getting dark outside; we need to leave.” You slowly get up, still Ava in your arms, spoiler alert: you couldn’t feel your arms and back anymore. She gently stirs awake, “Shhh, go back to sleep.” You whisper to her, still rubbing her tiny back. She was so small for a six-year-old.
You see Lucia, she was taking your cleats off her feet; putting on her shoes again. You give Ava to Alexia, and then you walk up to her. “I’m sorry she had to sleep on you; I-I was just too caught up playing that I didn’t even notice she was tired. I’m really sorry.” She tries to explain.
“Hey, don’t apologize; you were having fun, and she was just tired after a long day. And now look! She stole my girlfriend again.” You say sincerely while trying to joke in the last part, pointing at Alexia, who was rocking Ava in her arms, showing off one of her big smiles reserved for children and for the people she loves.
Then you turn to her and ask her, “Are you hungry?”
“Oh yeah, I’m starving. I haven’t run that much in months.” Then she backtracks. “Oh, wait. I knew what you were doing; you are trying to manipulate me into eating with you guys.” She asks, clearly understanding your intentions.
“Manipulate is a big word, isn’t it? I guess you can call it offering to eat something with us?”
“Nah, the right word is definitely manipulate or gaslight.” She remarks.
“Well, do you want to come with us?”
“I don’t know; I must get her to bed.”
“Where are you guys staying, if I can ask?”
“You already know the answer. And don’t you dare ask me to stay with you. That is too much, and I wouldn’t know how to repay you. I can deal with everything on my own.”
You knew she wouldn’t budge on that one, but you had to give it to her; she knew your actions before you said anything.
“Why don’t we just eat something and figure everything out later?” You offer.
-
So you did that; you brought Lucia and Ava into your home, ordered take-out, and put on a movie to watch. Alexia and Ava were petting Nala, which in the beginning, the little dog hid in your room, but progressively through the night, she slowly got accustomed to the new people and gladly accepted the cuddles that the younger girl had given her.
The scene that was before your eyes oddly felt really domestic. Most nights with Alexia, if they weren’t spent out with friends, would include snuggling on the couch and relaxing; the only difference was that there were two new other people now.
You tried not to get too attached to them and tried not to act as a parent but more like someone that could help. They already had parents, and you for sure didn’t want to replace them. You just wanted to give the help you weren’t given when it happened to you, so if some food and a roof were needed, you wouldn’t hesitate to share that and maybe a little love here and there.
Ava was asleep, and Alexia was about to, so you tried to get the attention of Lucia so you could talk to her. You went outside on the porch with her so you wouldn’t disturb Ava from her much-needed sleep.
“Thank you for today, I really appreciated everything you did for us, but I think we have to get going.”
“You can always stay here.” You offer while she tries to dissuade you. “Listen, if it’s a problem to stay with us, I can book you a hotel room, but please let me help you find accommodation. I would love for you to stay until you find a better place. Ava can start school, while you could go and play in La Masia, or finish school and go to university, or both, whichever you prefer. And I know I’m not your mother, nor your relative, I’m just a stranger, but it wouldn’t sit well with me to let you guys leave somewhere that maybe it’s not even safe.”
“I don’t want to be a burden. And you don’t owe me anything.” She scratches her forehead, thinking, “Why are you even doing this?”
“What?”
“Why are you helping us?”
“Honestly? I don’t know. I just know that I would love to help you in every way you let me. And you can always tell me to fuck off. But I hope you don’t” She chuckles, and for the first. The time she looks at you. “So what do you think?”
She remained silent for a while, while you patiently waited for her to reply, hoping it would be a positive answer. “Only until I can find a better solution for us. Plus, Ava already loves it here and loves you. When she saw you for the first time, she kept gushing about you and how you were her second favorite player, the first being Alexia” You chuckle. “And maybe living in a real house is better than waiting for social workers to find another accommodation.” She shyly adds. “I think you should ask Alexia if it’s okay for her too; I don’t want to get in the middle of you too.”
“She’s okay with it. She loves kids, and believe me, in a matter of days, she’s going to turn all protective, especially with Ava; she always had a soft spot for kids. As for the social workers, let me handle it, okay? I’ll try my best to make it as quick as possible.” She slowly nods and whispers a ‘thank you,’ taking you by surprise and hugging you. It took you a second to react, but soon you tightened the embrace, waiting for her to leave it.
“Probably, it’s going to be much of a burden for you rather than us.” You chuckle, “When our friends and Alexia’s family and my brother find out that we have two new people in our home, they’ll want to meet you. But I’ll take care of it.” You explain.
She removes herself from your embrace and looks at you. “Can I come to your games too? I miss being at the stadium.” She asks shyly.
“Oh, you must!” Your jokes. “I expect you to come every week with my jersey on.” You grin, pointing at her.
“We’ll see about that. I also like some other players in the squad, like Mapi Leon or Caroline Graham Hansen.” She playfully smirks.
“Then I don’t think I can give you any tickets.” You fake being offended. “Now go to your sister and take her to bed.” You grin, winking at her.
“Yeah, yeah. Thank you y/n.”

yourinstagram mase, you are the most amazing person i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. when i got hired at chelsea in 2019 and our first time meeting was you accidentally running into me and almost giving me a concussion, i didn't know how big of part you'd end up playing in my life. i'm grateful for that moment and every other one after that we've shared together. it'll be weird seeing you in red but i'm so happy for you. i might throw tomatoes at you when you play against us blues but i'll still love you all the same. i'll miss you, my friend. once a blue, always a blue. 💙

Could you do a Joao angst/fluff where like he comes home after the fanchats he got (look up if u don’t know) and he comes home all sad and reader comforts him and it’s all sappy🤭🤭 Thanks love❤️
WC: 1.8k Life has been tough recently with Joao coming back from loan at Chelsea and not feeling welcome at all back at Atletico. It's been awful watching Joao dread going to training every morning and coming back so upset but there is nothing I can do to change anything which makes things even harder. Throughout preseason Joao hasn't played a single minute and he's been publicly told that he isn't in the teams plan and he needs to earn a spot if he ever wants to play which we both know won't happen. Joao hasn't helped his situation by saying he wants to play at Barcelona which looks unlikely but anything can happen in the transfer window.
Today brings with it the first match of the season and all day Joao has been moping around the house and I've been trying to cheer him up but nothing seems to be working. We went on a walk with floki this morning which usually helps clear Joao's mind but today it didn't he was just as quiet and downbeat as before. I even tried to get him to bake with me as he loves that but he turned me down straight away so I gave up on trying to distract him and just let him mope around the house. Over the course of the summer Joao has been extra clingy it's like he's been hanging onto me in order to feel some sense of security which makes me want to cry just thinking about it. He's been the exact same way today, since we woke up he's been to touching me in some way which has mostly been cuddling on the sofa which his head on my chest.
When it came to the time that Joao had to leave he really didn't want to go but we both knew he had to so we said long goodbye to each other before Joao made his way to the stadium. He told me not to go to this game even though the team are playing at home as he's well aware that he's not going to get any minutes and he doesn't want me to be there to watch him just sit on the bench. I considered going anyway as I want to show my support but I chose not to in the end as I want to respect what Joao wants plus I think I'd cry if I had to see him sat there the entire game just wishing he could play.
Throughout the build up to the game Joao was texting me and sending me pictures with him and his teammates as he still gets on really well with a few of them. In return I was sending him pictures of me cuddled up on the sofa and some of me in his jersey as I know he'll like that. The texts stopped when kick off came around and I turned the tv on to watch as Joao is still part of the team and I like to see them do well. The game went really well with the team scoring 3 goals although they did concede 1 but a win is still a win.
After the match finished I went to change and do my skincare leaving the tv on while I did so like I always do as they often interview the players after the game and I'm used to waiting to see if they speak to Joao. When I came back they had a camera on the pitch which showed Joao training on the pitch which at first made me smile but then I got closer to the tv and heard what was going on. At first I thought I was hearing things but I quickly realised that the fans were actually chanting those horrible things at him. It made me so mad as he's still human and he's still part of their club but these fans have decided they can say those awful things about him just because they think he no longer belongs. The anger soon dissipated and turned into sadness and worry as I know Joao is going to come back super upset and just feeling incredibly down and I want to be there for him and try and make him feel better.
The wait for Joao to get home felt like eternity but eventually I saw the headlights of his car come through the windows at the front of the house. As soon as I heard the door begin to open I sprung up from the sofa and ran and jumped into Joao's arms which luckily he saw coming and caught me so I didn't fall on the floor. While I was in his arms I gave him lots of kisses all over his face before kissing his lips to show him lots of love as I know that's what he needs right now. As I went to pull away from the kiss he pulled me right back in for another kiss which I was happy to go along with. When we finally both pulled away Joao walked to the sofa with me still in his arms and got us situated so we were laying next to each other under the blanket I had earlier. Just as I was about to ask Joao how he was doing I looked into his eyes and all of a sudden tears began flowing down his face.
"Oh baby it's ok let all of your feelings out" I said laying his head on my chest and beginning to wipe his tears
"No one wants me" he sobs
"You know thats not true Joao you were loved at Chelsea it just wasn't meant to be and I'm sure Barcelona would love to have you if they had the money plus I very much want you around" I said trying to comfort him
"Even the fans hate me y/n how can I keep going to training knowing they everyone around me doesn't want me there" he said
"Those people aren't true fans any true fans wouldn't do that no matter what and you know your teammates like you I can see your phone blowing up with texts from them asking if you are doing ok" I said
"I know things are tough right now but I'm here for you and I will continue to be here no matter what" I added
"Thank you love I'm sorry for being so miserable having you here has made all of this bearable" he said
"You don't need to apologise I understand it's hard and I'll do anything I can to help" I told him
This time he didn't say anything else he simply just kissed the part of my neck that he could reach from his position. As much as I loved having him resting on my chest I had an idea of how to cheer him up that required me to get up so I let him cuddle with me a bit more before I told him to get comfy in our bed and I'd meet him there. Once he was gone I headed to the kitchen and to the freezer where I knew we had Joao's favourite ice cream. Usually he won't eat ice cream during the season as he's supposed to stick to his diet but ice cream always makes me feel better and I'm hoping I can convince him that the same will go for him. I got myself some ice cream as well because I think I need some too before heading to the bedroom with my two bowls.
Joao was waiting for me patiently sat in bed just looking at the door but a slight smile appeared on his face once I entered the room. His expression then turned to confusion when he noticed the bowls in my hands that was until I gave him his bowl which he tried to give back to me straight away telling me he can't break his diet. Eventually I managed to convince him that it was ok to break his diet this once and that I wouldn't tell anyone which was enough for him to decide to enjoy some ice cream with me. While we were eating I put Joao's favourite show on which he's watched a million times before but he is always telling me he could never get sick of it and I thought he would enjoy watching a few episodes.
He wanted to cuddle with me again so he settled in again with his head on my chest but this time he had his arms fully wrapped around me so we could be as close together as physically possible. Naturally one of my hands went to play with his hair which was a bit of a mess but I absolutely love it like that so it didn't stop me running my hands through it and scratching his scalp which he really enjoys. As we were laying together I couldn't help but let my mind drift to some of my favourite memories I have with Joao including some from recently which was just a reminder that even during hard times life offers beautiful moments.
"Joao do you remember the first time we went to Portugal together and you showed me the sunset on the beach?" I asked
"Yeah why?" He questioned
"No real reason I was just reminiscing and I love that memory it was such a lovely day and that just topped it off" I said
"I loved that day too you looked so pretty in the dimming light I just couldn't get over how I found someone so perfect" he said
"Little things like that always stick in my mind like the other day when we sat outside together just looking at the stars trying to name them even though we both know nothing about astrology" I laughed
"I think our names were better anyway" he smiled
"You know things like that always remind me that even though things are tough right now we still have each other and we can still create good memories which make everything just that little bit better" I said
"You're right love no matter what's going on and how hard it is having you to help me through it really does make everything so much easier I don't know what I do without you to remind me of what's important in life" he said
I could tell he was feeling much better about life after that as the light was back in his eyes and the smile on his face was no longer forced. Instead of focusing on all the stress in our lives he was looking at all of the good things instead which is exactly what I was aiming for as Joao just needed a new outlook on things to make life that little bit better.

ireland got knocked out of the rugby world cup, i am apoplectic with grief, i have channelled those big sads into a buddie rugby ficlet. yes buck plays for ireland and yes eddie is a irish coach no you don't need to know how they got there.
for my rugby girlies. i hate this sport and also i love it with every part of me. i also think this counts for seven sentence sunday so thank u for tagging me @fangkinkdiaz
The final whistle goes, and Buck knows it's over. He doesn’t need to look up at the scoreboard to know that they didn’t make it - the World Cup dream is over.
Tears are dripping from the curve of his chin before he even realises he’s crying - but Buck isn’t surprised, really. He’s not sure he’s ever felt devastation quite like it - four points standing between them, and a World Cup semi final for the first time in history.
Four points.
This one was going to hurt for a long time yet, Buck knew.
Accepting the hand offered by a teammate, Buck allowed himself to be pulled up off the field where he’d been sitting, hot, frustrated tears streaming down his cheeks, only adding to the mess of blood, and dirt on his jersey.
“I thought we had it,” Jack mumbled as he dragged Buck to his feet, his hand shaking in Buck’s grip. It was his first world cup, Jack one of the youngest of their squad. It was Buck’s second, but his first with a team he really thought could make it all the way: and the devastation was worse, when you went into a competition believing the win was yours. At least last time, he had been playing for fun.
Buck could only grimace in response.
He thought they had it too.
Four fucking points.
It’s a blur, as he walks around the field, shaking hands with players in black celebrating, exchanging tight hugs with his own teammates, his own devastation reflected in their expressions as they take a lap of the field, thousands of sad faces in bright green jerseys looking on as they clapped a congratulations Buck wasn’t sure they had quite earned this time.
Buck watched, standing alone on the field as his teammates went to find their friends and family. He’d always been jealous of that. Maddie tried to come, when she could, but Buck played for a team thousands of miles away from her California home, and she had a kid now - it wasn’t as easy as it used to be for her to be in the stands.
He was more jealous of the players who were seeking out their wives, and girlfriends, sympathetic faces pulling them in for hugs, and kisses, the kind of reassurance Buck himself was craving as the adrenaline started to leave his body, and the reality started to hit: the World Cup was over. Rugby was a funny career. Buck liked to think he’d still be fit, and playing, by the time the next World Cup came around, but he knew one bad hit was all it took to end a career.
It was what happened to Eddie, after all.
Buck had watched Eddie play on TV more times than he could count, had stared, astounded, as Eddie had played some of the best rugby Buck had ever seen. And then one day, it was over.
It had been a warm-up test - not even a championship game. Buck had been watching it back home in California, and it was 3am, and his eyes had ached from the brightness of the TV as he’d watched Eddie line out, 10 emblazoned on his back and a familiar confident grin on his face. He had been the best in the world, and then one bad hit had broken his shoulder so badly, he’d never regained full fitness again.
Eddie had joined the coaching squad, after his career had been cut short, and Buck had sought out the familiarity of another American voice in the Irish camp the first day he had arrived, three long years finally making it so he qualified to play for the country he had adopted as his home after Munster had offered him a contract to play club rugby. It had been a rogue decision, from their coach - America wasn’t lauded for creating the most memorable rugby players - but they’d seen something in Buck.
He was grateful for that.
Something in Buck broke as he watched another teammate embrace his girlfriend, and he started to walk, his feet carrying him where his heart so desperately wanted to be.
Eddie was standing near the edge of the field, teeth worrying the corner of his lip as he watched the devastation unfold around him. One thing that people didn’t know about coaches, Buck felt at least, was that they felt the hurt as much as the players did: coaches just had the harder job of putting on a brave face sooner and making sure the squad got back on their feet.
His lanyard was tucked under his arm, in that ridiculous way Eddie always wore his accreditation, and his hair was a mess: Buck knew if he watched back the match, every time the camera panned to the coaches, he’d see Eddie running his hands through his hair.
“You fought like hell,” Eddie offered, and Buck knew he wasn’t wrong, but that wasn’t the comfort he wanted, there and then.
The thing was - somewhere along the way, Eddie had stopped being that familiar American face, and he’d started to be Buck’s best friend, and then he’d become the love of Buck’s life - in that order, with a few stops in between. They’d talked about it - all the ways going public would affect Buck’s career, how it might make him a target, if he was ready for the snide remarks that would come with being an out rugby player in the peak of his career - and they’d agreed to keep it a secret until Buck retired.
But they’d just gotten knocked out of the World Cup, and Buck wanted to kiss his goddamn boyfriend.
“There’s no going back, if you do,” Eddie whispered, and that was when Buck realised he’d said it out loud. Eddie had come out after his career had been cut short, never one to dream of being an advocate but suited to the role, all the same, rainbow laces in trainers and a pride flag pinned to his jacket a constant reminder to the world that he was here, and he was queer.
“I don’t want to go back,” Buck shook his head. They had lost the World Cup - he would be a different rugby player for it, now. He was ready to be a different man, too.
“Are you sure?” Eddie inclined his head slightly. “Buck, you’re not thinking straight right now - you’ve just played a crazy eighty minutes, and -”
Buck kissed him. He was gross, and sweaty, and disgusting, and there was blood pouring down his face, escaping the plaster the medical team has hastily put on his head 47 minutes in, but Eddie kissed him back with a familiarity and certainty that Buck would never get used to as long as he lived. Eddie was home. This team was home, and Eddie was home - and he’d figure out the rest.
The noise of the stadium hadn’t lessened - it hadn’t gone silent, in shock. No, the noise was still roaring, and the world had kept turning, and Buck was pretty sure that was an ITV camera that was recording the way Eddie kept a tight hold of the hem of Buck’s jersey and -
“You’ll take the heat off us losing, with that one,” Patrick grinned, and Buck let out a breath he didn’t realise he was holding as his teammate teased him.
“I was just doing it for the team,” Buck retorted, and despite everything, despite the hurt and the loss and the way it would take weeks to find his love of rugby again after coming so close - but not quite close enough - he looked at Eddie and couldn’t help but smile, his boyfriend returning the grin.
Yeah.
Everything was going to be okay, actually.

Before Project Mayhem, before fight club, before Marla, before Tyler — there is still one sad sack of shit.
.
.
The hard part about work trips isn't making the plane or seeing another family of five burnt into their leather seats. It's missing support groups.
See, if you're lucky, the company will send you out to a major city. Cities are great. A little advanced work to find a slightly below average church or library, you're set each night you're there.
It's a bit of novelty, getting to be a new face all at once. People assume you've just been diagnosed. It's never the failed treatments, the degradation of their life and everyone in it, the continuous experience of knowingly dying — none of those things are the worst thing that happens to you.
It's finding out they will.
So people cry. They crowd around, I sob like I've been told I've got stage four colon cancer and three weeks to live. We all cry. I sleep soundly on the plane back or in the nice, four star hotel my company provides me.
Flying out to a small town, though. I'll be awake enough to be hallucinating by the time I get back for Remaining Men Together. The only mercy is that the next time I show for all the groups I missed, I can see who thought I died. I get to be resurrected.
The other part about small towns, you have to take a second, shitter plane to a local airfield, or you have to take a rental car. One of the most popular rental cars available right now, it'll light itself on fire if you use the cruise control at the wrong time. I know this because I sat next to another guy with my job, who worked for a different company, and he said I'll show you mine if you show me yours. So I told him about the faulty airbags, and he told me about the overheating switch.
I prefer to avoid driving.
All the rental place at the airport has left for me, it's one of those flaming cars. I use cruise control. If I don't, one of my narcoleptic spells will send me into the Jersey barrier.
When you drive into these small towns, you have to try to pay attention, or you'll end up a county over talking about the wrong wreck. They're otherwise interchangeable, but the miles on your rental car won't line up and those are the type of records that might get pulled out when the company is finally sued for the big one ten years down the line.
As a result, I see the same decor on the way in every time. Meth lab. Abandoned homes. Garbage fire. Classic Americana. There is no four star hotel here; I sleep the same.
The only reason I've been brought out here is because the poor shithead who drove his truck into the ditch drunk was driving my company's flagship vehicle. It loses power steering if the car jostles the right way going above 55 miles per hour. I've been told to keep track of potential incidents and make sure the company can firmly claim it's not at fault.
We've had this problem for decades, and we will for many more. Sometimes, everything is falling apart.
The job is simple, and I only get tempted by the town's blatant opioid addiction for a day and night. Painkillers would probably make me sleep. The thing about being a recall campaign organizer, though, is like recognizes like. It's not only other Compliance and Liability guys who tell you company secrets while sharing the aisle in business class.
When I'm finally back in my own town, after my own support groups, after crying my eyes out into Bob's meaty middle — I pick up my mail. There's the newest IKEA magazine. Half of it looks like shit. The type of thing you'd only see in some curated art deco, modernist, post-modern traditionalist bohemian minimalist apartment.
I have to have it.
I go to sleep, hard, like God himself tucked me in. I sleep with my wallet net four hundred heavier, because even an IKEA spree tends not to outweigh a work trip. I sleep, with my called in IKEA goods only two short weeks away, my job well done, and I know, my life is complete.
#fight club#my writing#KEY INFO: this is Before Tyler#bit experimental as a result. how to peel away some of the narratorisms but have him still be the narrator? how to make him complacent#like a wisconsin dairy cow but still have undertones of extreme conscious and subconscious distress?#all car faults mentioned are real#ford had an overheating cruise control switch#and some other overheating fire switches#and jeep. i know because i knew a guy with a jeep — they randomly lose pwoer steering sometimes#horrific and scary and potentially deadly in any car — but jeeps have this known and bizzarely widely accepted flaw called the death wobble#which refers to the oscillations that rapidly feed on each other if the car is slightly out of tune#and can result in tearing the steering wheel from your hands#until you slow down#for some reason that's just accepted.#theres a lot of jeep propaganda#anyway you combine those two#you get the picture#i dont doubt theres been incidents even if there hasnt been major recalls lol#i hope this one comes across well... it's always strange to explore an almost hypothetical version of a character. the narrator where Tyler#is just a growing little menace in his head....#I think what made this one fun for me though is the narrator would still be pretty openly bleak I think but the SUBCONSCIOUS stuff.#especially all the stuff I implied at the end. very fun to write#and it was also just fun to lay down the like.... seeds. of things#this is before Tyler in the sense that it's before he was well cooked. Before they met. Etc. Pretty early into the support groups. But yk#he is sleeping.

//
beatrice is a revelation.
you remember the first time you had watched her play, when you were thirteen and she debuted for her club at the senior level at sixteen, this phenom, and everyone was talking about her. you remember being in awe of how steady she was, serious and focused and beautiful, even though you’re sure she was nervous: she was pretty, and young, with a sharp jaw and skin a few shades darker than yours, lovely, freckles and bright eyes. most importantly, when she was subbed on in the 61’, she seemed unafraid.
mostly you remember a moment — her jersey tucked in solemnly and perfect into her shorts, her socks even at her knees, her hair somehow staying put in a neat bun — where she won a tackle at midfield, carried it, drew three defenders, and then played the most beautiful through ball you had ever seen. shannon finished, but it was an easy tap in, past the goalkeeper, and you sat on your small, hard bed and looked at the planes of her face light up when she smiled. mary patted her head and shannon gave her a tight hug and you knew, even then, that she was going to be the best player in the world.
it’s surreal to play with her, now, to sit beside her in the locker room and take note of the older lines of her face, her lighter hair, her meticulous skin care routine — an exact order of small, expensive serums and sunscreen — and the way her mouth sets in a grimace when she’s running through physical therapy exercises next to you. the way she talks to your teammates, clear and calm and kind, no matter what’s happening; the way she holds her chin high when she kneels for the anthem and wears her rainbow captain’s armband; the way she moves with the ball like she’s dancing, like she’s absolutely sure there’s no one who can stop her — it’s mesmerizing and a little intoxicating. you think everyone is at least a little bit in love with her.
but somehow, miraculously, a little bit, she thinks you’re special.
she thinks she’s subtle, you’re pretty sure, but no one else gets her to laugh like you do. she puts up with your constant antics and your overwhelming exuberance and terrible puns. she listens to you, quiet and with her unwavering, full attention when you explain to her, one day in the locker room, late, when everyone else had already gone home. she’d gotten mad at you earlier in training, for not tracking back, for going halfheartedly into tackles; she’s seen the scar on your back and been in physical therapy with you for months now.
‘i — i got hurt, going in for a tackle,’ you say, your voice breaking and too loud for the empty locker room, hands trembling, eyes filling with tears. ‘i didn’t have a choice; someone hit my back and then i couldn’t walk, i couldn’t move. i’m trying, okay? i’m so scared, every single fucking tackle. i’m doing the best i can.’ your breath is coming so fast and your chest is tight; you have to sit down and put your head in your hands. ‘fuck.’
she stands still, holding a soft sweater you know she’ll drape over her shoulders, over her perfectly pressed button up, even though she’s probably just going home. she stands still and, mortifyingly, you think she’s going to cry too, which is even worse than just you crying.
‘fuck, i’m sorry,’ you say again. she sits next to you and shakes her head.
‘ava,’ she says, ‘i’m sorry.’ she takes your hand gently and it’s a little reverent, and your heart settles and blooms: it’s only been a few months, but she’s home. she’s safe and thoughtful and steadfast and brave.
it’s not the first time you think it, but it’s the clearest: i love you, you want to tell her.
‘sometimes i forget how hard your career has been,’ she says, ‘how difficult; how i haven’t ever experienced the pain you have.’ she swallows, looks down at her own hands. ‘healing of all kinds isn’t linear, and sometimes it’s slow.’
it’s true: you had lost, for a long time, your favorite thing in the world, the very thing that had made you feel most alive. you had felt nothing; you had hurt, and hurt, and hurt.
‘but it is my job as your captain to see you through this.’
you’d convinced her to go dancing the other night with you, during a bye week, and she had let her hair down and laughed into your neck. she’s beautiful; she was so beautiful, free and unburdened. she had looked at you too.
‘just your job?’
she smiles, gentle and small and just for you. ‘well,’ she says, ‘and my pleasure.’
/
beatrice is contained, though, toward mostly everyone. you don’t think she’d ever really admit it, either, but you know she’s lonely, in her beautiful house by the water — without color, sparse and modern, and you bring her little trinkets and pillows and candles and flowers and soft throws in yellow, in orange, in a treasured sage green she seems to love. she has her tailored, loose linen, always chic and always professional. she has strict nutrition, carefully made meals from the team chef systematically stacked in neat tupperware in her fridge. you know you’ve, mostly out of sheer annoyance and stubborn, unrelenting affection, wormed your way under her skin — so you take a gamble.
she’s still religious, or at least takes a great deal of comfort in routine and prayer and worship, so you wait until after you’re pretty sure christmas morning mass is over. you’d never say it yourself, either, for that matter, but you’re lonely too, sometimes, and you love her bright smile and freckles and the way she eats whatever you order for dinner when you spend time at her house.
you shoot your shot, wherever that’ll end up, and order a bunch of birthday balloons, a shiny silver 2 and 6, and throw in a few silly christmas ones too, just for the spirit. you buy her a delicate chain, really pushing your luck because it’s plain white gold, elegant and a little romantic, some kind of gesture. you add in a crisp, extremely expensive cotton crew neck, which you’d seen pulled up on her phone while you’d lowkey been snooping. you make chocolate chip cookies — well, really, camila makes them after you burn the first batch, and she rolls her eyes when you explain they’re for bea, but it’s fond and you’re way too obvious; she knows how you feel anyway — and put them in a tupperware. you find the dumbest possible birthday card you can, a little bit obscene, and write, dear beatrice, happy birthday! you’re an old lady now, or something. you steal the show from jesus, in my opinion :) you deserve to be celebrated. once you write the last line you want to cringe, but you only have the one card and you can’t scribble it out at this point. fuck it, you think, and sign love, ava and put it in the envelope, lick the flap and press it shut before you can take it back.
you unload all of the balloons from your car, a little ridiculous, and fit them, and your presents, and your cookies, and a bottle of veuve, and a bouquet of sunflowers — her favorite — into your arms and trundle to her front door and ring the doorbell. there’s definitely a chance she’s not home — still at mass or, probably, doing some kind of aikido training or on a run or swim, maybe even alone at the training grounds — but then, to your immense relief and immediate delight, she opens the door. if beatrice in her careful, neat outfits is revelatory, beatrice in a pair of sweatshorts and a hoodie, her sunny hair tousled and swept almost carelessly over a shoulder, is a fucking miracle.
‘i thought —’ she says, her brow furrowed, seemingly a little lost, ‘you’re not my sushi order.’
‘happy birthday!’ you say, and hold out the balloons. ‘and merry christmas!’
it takes her a second but then a big smile blooms on her face, and you’re so relieved you might cry. she takes the balloons from you with a laugh and then the flowers, carefully. ‘thank you, ava,’ she says, so happy and so genuine. ‘would you like to come in? i don’t think i can enjoy all of this on my own.’
that had obviously been your plan; you wore loose pants and a crop top, her favorite even though she pretends to never notice. you even washed your hair this morning instead of just settling for dry shampoo or a little cap like you sometimes do since you cut it when you’re tired or your back is hurting too much to want to move your arms above your head — a truth you’ll never tell, not anyone. she fidgets with the hair tie around her wrist, and instead of saying anything normal, you bump her hip in the doorway, your faces way too close, and not close enough. ‘leave your hair down. i like it like this.’
she just blushes and nods and steps back; you follow her to the kitchen, embarrassed, but then she carefully puts the flowers in a vase, a little reverent, and you it settles you. she softly tells you that she'd been to mass and sung her favorite hymns; that she misses the snow sometimes, even though she loves the ocean.
‘how did you know it was my birthday?’ she asks, after the flowers are situated and you’re curled on her couch, your feet tucked under her thighs, after she’s opened her presents quietly and read your card, which had made her sniffle and she’d squeezed your hand afterward.
other than the fact that you and your teammates had sang to her over a cake before you’d left to go on break, ‘i’ve read your wikipedia.’
it’s, like, way too true, and it’s out before you can take it back, but then she just laughs, grants you grace as always.
‘i’ve read your wikipedia too,’ she says, quietly, but you sit up to give her a high five, which makes her laugh again. she grows serious, and soft, and puts her chin in the crook of her elbow balanced on the top of the couch cushion. her eyes are so gorgeous and you’re close enough to count her freckles like stars in the fading winter light.
something might happen; your body is practically bursting at the seams for it, but then the doorbell rings and you both kind of jump.
‘probably my actual sushi order.’ she gets up and pads to the door, comes back with what is probably enough sushi for four people.
‘did you… order delivery sushi from a michelin star restaurant?’ you ask, infinitely amused when you see the branding.
she waves her chopsticks around in dismissal. ‘it’s my birthday.’ she purses her lips and delicately picks up a piece of ginger. ‘and i’m rich.’
you laugh so suddenly you’re lucky a whole piece of spicy albacore doesn’t just explode out of your mouth; you couch into a napkin instead. she doesn’t tease you, although she does look on in a little alarm. she had, surprisingly, ordered a bottle of sake, you notice once you’ve recovered with a few coughs, and you get it out with a cheer. ‘yes, beatrice! live it up!’
you share your sake and the best sushi you’ve had in your entire life, sitting on the floor at her coffee table, until you’re full and a little tipsy. you open the bottle of veuve, because she’s tipsy enough to let you, to follow along in your wake as you do everything in your power to feel it all. she pops it carefully, with a towel over the cork, even, but it doesn’t stop you from cheering like you’ve just won the champions league, and it brings a delicious smile to her mouth that you very narrowly avoid kissing.
she pours expertly in stemless, elegant champagne flutes and you lift yours toward. ‘to the best captain and the best friend,’ you say, and it’s incomplete but it’s sincere all the same, something brimming underneath the surface neither of you are quite ready to name. ‘happy birthday, bea.’
she clinks her glass with yours and you drink champagne, bundled in blankets, and eat an insane amount of chocolate chip cookies, on her balcony that looks over the sea, settled onto one comfortable beach chair; she’d let you squeeze beside her without any protest.
‘thank you, ava, for coming over.’
‘yeah, uh, of course.’ you squeeze her strong, bare calf, just above the scar on her ankle. ‘i didn’t — i was alone today, too. i figured we shouldn’t have to be alone.’
she swallows and puts her hand on yours. ‘you’re right. we shouldn’t.’
you rest your head on her chest. ‘strong heartbeat for twenty-six.’
the soft rumble of her laugh matches the waves, and she runs her hands along your face, buries them in your hair for a moment. ‘i like your hair, like this,’ she says.
‘yeah?’ she’s definitely drunk by now, her eyes a little glassy when you look up at her, and you’d give everything — money, your gorgeous apartment with camila, pizza, football — to kiss her.
‘yes,’ she says, and looks up at the stars. ‘i remember watching you play, before —‘ you tense a little, and she just soothes a hand along your spine. ‘before. and it was long. just — like everyone else.’
you have no idea what to say; you suppose it’s true. ‘you watched me play.’
‘of course,’ she says, an easy truth that ignites something low in your stomach. ‘ava, you’re not like everyone else. not at all. you’re the most — ‘ she shakes her head, trips over her words — ‘you’re the most extraordinary person i’ve ever known.’
you take a few deep breaths and then kiss her collarbone. ‘i — feel the same, about you.’
she smiles, and you settle again on her chest; you listen to her heart racing.
‘you know,’ you say, ‘i just wanted to look more bisexual. that was the motivation for this haircut.’
it gets a booming laugh from her, better than any goal.
‘swear to god.’
she kisses the top of your head and then gracefully untangles herself from you, offers a hand. ‘i can order you an uber,’ she says. ‘or — it’s christmas, they’re probably, you know, inconvenient.’
‘you want me to stay?’
please don’t leave me alone; please don’t leave me. it’s unspoken and aching and easy. she nods. ‘if you want.’
‘you have food for the morning that’s not a little prepackaged omlette?’
she frowns.
‘well then we’re going to get brunch, okay? deal?’
she rolls her eyes but she leads you to her bedroom by the hand; there’s no question when she pulls back the fluffy, perfectly white duvet, that she wants you in bed with her. she gets you a pair of sleep shorts and a long-sleeve t-shirt, club issued but old and soft and worn, and it smells like her; she turns her back as you take off your clothes and change, leave them in a careless pile on a chair that makes her roll her eyes.
you snuggle up to her in bed and she turns over; your heart swells when she scoots back into you and you wrap an arm around her waist; she sighs. i love you, you want to say, i fucking love you so much, i’m going to die if i don’t kiss you soon. i love you, please.
‘happy birthday.’
she squeezes your hand, and then she falls asleep.

Amongst The Rainbow Streets
Here’s a pride fic for Final Destination!!!
Olivia pounds back another shot of tequila at the local lesbian bar, it’s called BlackRose Bar or something, laughing and boozing the day away with Nathan.
“So you’ve spent all this time looking through lonely hearts dating apps, and you still haven’t found anyone for that party next week? Bullshit, you’re cute,” Nathan slurs in disbelief, chugging his vodka soda.
Olivia laughs drunkenly, before grabbing the last shot from her tray and downing it. “I know, I know! Despite my unbelievably hot body, I have been lacking in maidens for eons,” she bemoans, leaning forward, her long hair brushing the sticky bar counter.
Nathan sympathetically rubs Olivia’s back, smiling.
She smiles, before standing up and yanking her shorts down. “I’ve gotta piss. Watch my purse for me,” she loudly announces, pocketing her phone. Nathan pretends to make a disgusted face, but gives a thumbs up.
Olivia saunters over to the women’s bathroom, apologizing to a bar patron who she bumps into on the way in.
She enters the small space, fixing her hair and her earrings and bra. Humming along to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”, Olivia splashes her face with water, looking up at the mirror above the sink.
Just as she’s about to leave, she hears sniffling and quiet sobs. Is someone crying?
A quick glance around the bathroom deduces that a pair of shoes; white Mary Janes, peek from the 5th stall. Olivia walks over to the stall and knocks on it hard.
“Ay, you alright in there? If you need a tissue, I don’t have any, but if you need me to beat someone up I can do that,” she cringes at herself for being so blunt.
The stranger in the stall stops crying for a minute, before unlocking it.
Inside of the stall is a beautiful young woman, with blonde hair and bloodshot green eyes. She’s wearing grey, pink and white eyeshadow, with glitter in the transfemme flag colors decorating the corners of her eyes.
Ah, so she’s a trans demigirl, Olivia thinks to herself. She looks up to Olivia, and rubs at her face, taking off some glitter with it.
“Ah, crap, sorry for crying,” she says, looking down at the floor.
Olivia bends down the the woman’s level, putting a hand on her shoulder.
“Don’t apologize for that girl, it happens. Now, you wanna tell me what happened? I’m all ears,” she soothes, brushing the other woman’s hair behind her ears.
The woman looks down at her lap, playing with the hem of her pink floral skirt.
“W-well, I came here with my friend, and we were having a good time. But then he went to go get food for both of us, and I got lost! And when I was trying to find him, some guy tried feeling me up and kept saying how he always wanted to fuck a trans girl! A-and after that, I started to get sensory overload from all the lights and music and people, so I ran in here and I wanna go find my friend so I can go home,” she rambles on in on, so Olivia firmly plants her hands on the woman’s shoulders.
She guides the woman through her sensory overload, and eventually she calms down enough for Olivia clean her up and guide her out of the bathroom.
They pass Nathan on the way out, and she tells him that she’ll be back, and he takes one look at the shaken up woman before understanding the situation.
Eventually the two get to talking on a bench outside the bar, and Olivia learns a few things about the woman. Her name is Margret Harper, but everyone calls her Molly or Moll. She’s 24, so two years older than Olivia, and she was born January 20th. She was born in Weehawken, New Jersey, but moved to SoHo as a baby. Her mom left her and her dad at age 8, and before that her parents were always fighting due to her mom’s drug addiction and cheating problem. When she was 12 she figured out she was transfemme and she started her transition at 14, the same age she met her previously mentioned friend in late middle school. She works as a secretary at some law firm, but she plays electric guitar at a club downtown on Friday through Sunday, and she goes to karaoke, again with her friend.
During their conversation, Olivia grabs Molly a bottle of water and a rainbow corn dog, and Molly insists on Venmoing her the amount of money she spent, but the younger girl declines.
“You were struggling and overstimulated, like hell I’m gonna ask you to pay me money,” Olivia says, crossing one leg over the other.
“If you say so! But again, thank you so much for helping,” Molly exclaims, grabbing Olivia’s hand.
Olivia blushes at the contact, before smiling. “No problem!”
As the two women sit together in silence, a loud and anxious voice yells from the crowd, “Molly!”
The two women look up in surprise, and a tall young man jogs up to them. He’s got short brown hair, a shit ton of eyeliner, and a blue jacket with bi and transmasc pins.
This must be the guy Molly kept talking about, Olivia thinks to herself. She slightly hates him a bit, who leaves someone with sensory issues on their own?
The guy immediately launches into an apologetic ramble. “Oh my god, Molly, I am so, so sorry! I got distracted getting food for the two of us, and then I got lost, so I got this guy to help me find you—he’s really cute by the way, we’ve been talking for a couple of weeks, but we still couldn’t find you! And I’m so, so sorry,” he says all of this without taking a single breath.
Finally, he turns to Olivia and offers a hand. “I’m Sam by the way, I came with Molly to the pride parade!” He’s super energetic, and Olivia immediately feels like shit for thinking bad about him.
She shakes his hand and smiles. “Olivia, Olivia Castle. I met your little girlfriend in the bathroom of the BlackRose bar not too far down the street,” she says, and Sam bursts into laughter.
“Holy fuck, that’s hilarious! Molly’s not my girlfriend, she’s just a friend, nothing more,” he manages to get out through laughter.
Olivia gives a quiet “Oh” before smiling.
Molly stands up from the bench, but not before hugging Olivia. “Thanks for looking out for me, Olivia! Who knows, maybe I’ll catch you later,” she teases, and she holds out her phone; with a My Melody phone charm, with her contacts open.
Olivia pulls out her own phone, and both women exchange phone numbers.
“See ya later, Molly! It was nice meeting you,” she calls out as she and Sam walk away.
“See ya later, Olivia! It was nice meeting you too,” she shouts back, blowing a kiss and winking. Olivia blushes, entirely stunned, and for the first time in her life; she’s speechless.
She sits on the bench for a little while after they both leave, looking up at the gradually darkening sky, before heading back into the BlackRose bar.
Her first words to Nathan when she gets back to the bar are: “I met a cute girl today. And I think my dating life has gotten a lot better.”
Nathan high-fives her, and orders a Jack and Pepsi mix for them both.

Ugh I think I have one of the best, I mentioned at my new job (this was around 2 yrs ago) that I liked "Manchester" as a football club but never specified if it was city or united, and here no one really pays attention to european football so no one really asked more about it, so when secret santa came I got the city jersey AND IM A UNITED FAN!!!. My co-worker said she just searched for a manchester jersey and choose the blue one bc the color was nice and she thought it was the same club, and it was the original one like that was expensive for a secret santa gift so I was like "oh thank you very much", I told her months after and now we laugh about it. Next year I got the right one💕.
Oh no that sounds like the worst I’d cry I think
Like if someone got me an arsenal or a spurs one I’d kill everyone
