Okay so, obviously I do NOT want Will to suffer or anything like that in s5, but like just imagine:

It's the final ep of s5, Mike and Will are in the ud or just in Hawkins fighting monsters, (POSSIBLY the monster Will painted) and then Will gets like really hurt and he falls to the ground. Then Mike obviously goes to rescue his bf so he just holds him in his hands and they have this moment where Mike and Will both think Will is gonna die, and Mike like SUPER DRAMATICALLY and emotionally confesses his love to Will and like literally starts sobbing and shit

Then Will is like "I love you too Mike" and then he blacks out or something.

Then Mike is like crying over his "dead" body and then suddenly he turns his sadness into like PURE ANGER

So he literally starts beating the living shit outta that monster they're fighting and it's like this super badass moment lol

Then later on, Will is in the hospital and OFC he wakes up and then we get to see how they're like all giggly and stuff when they're together because they know they both love eachother and they can literally hold hands and stuff JKASHKJAHSJDH

Then like during the end time of s5 Will and Mike finally get this moment alone in Mike's room and they FINALLY KISS and the light that comes from behind Mike's yellow curtains like SHINE SO BRIGHT and it parallels to their s4 talk in hops cabin with the PRETTY LIGHTINGGGGG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

i dont know why i never got past the first ~15 eps during my initial watch because tsomd has all the things i could ever need (tween girl who deserves 24 hours of unrestricted access to a baseball bat . gay men making constant heinous decisions . cool women (in general) . and insanely incredible costume design) but im actually soooo glad i got into it now because i have ample time to let the plot and characters stew in my brain . suitang and rongzhi's respective dynamics make me feel like i could bent steel beams with my bare hands <3 i did also spent the entire show making heart hands at the screen and cheering whenever dong'er, duo'erla (😭) and ding rong showed up 🫶 🫶 🫶 theyre so perfectttt

Ok I totally understand just dropping a show for whatever reason 😂 (I haven't finished the Untamed after pausing it 24 episodes in for reasons I can't remember) THAT SAID! YESSSSS. I've been thinking about TSOMD a lot more again recently, since I'm working on some prompt fills for @cdrama-action (check it out!! prompts/donations are still open and I think there's still some spots for TSOMD as well as many other cdramas. Donations go to Care For Gaza!) 😌 There's really so much that's fun about the show. Even the villains are fun (if slimy lol). And like you said, the costumes are great, and I also really like the lightinggggg (the cinnamon topography...)

Also the soundtrack slaps. Even with the stuff that I think kind of sucks lol, at this point, I'm like Whatev, it adds character🔪
