I am so incredibly nervous about posting this, but cringe is dead, and even bad art is still art, so here we go.

Last week I read the incredible fan fiction METAMORPHOSES by @fastcardotmp3.

As someone who is very used to my body not only not doing the things I want, but often doing the opposite, it could be said it REALLY FUCKING RESONATED. Especially as I am now in the tail end of a severe mental health fuck about.

In fact when I got to the line “I’m deeply mentally ill and borderline agoraphobic, so maybe I deserve nice things” I had not been outside on my own for at least 4 weeks, and I thought “Oh this one gets me” So I bought myself some nice things.

From here, there are moderate spoilers for the fic- not the main spoiler, but if you want to know nothing, don’t keep reading!

Throughout the fic, Eddie is especially preoccupied with the etching Perseus and the Sleeping Medusa, about the concept of vulnerability and of what it means to rest. So here he is, resting, of sorts.

I am lucky in that etchings are both rough around the edges and often not very good, so I can get away with the fact this is the first time I have tried to draw a person in nearly 20 years, but I could not get this idea out of my head.

Quirrel was not suicidal

As a 3-year hollow knight fan, I see "Stag Beetles and Broken Legs" get recommended a lot. A lot a lot. Considered by many to be the definitive Hollow Knight fanfiction, it generates fanart and gushing recommendations every time it's mentioned.

But there's one glaring issue of interpretation I've gathered: It frames Quirrel at the Blue Lake as suicidal.

And I don't think that's correct at all.

Once you get down to it, everything in Hallownest is about death and avoiding it. The Pale King's eternal kingdom, the Soulmaster's shaping of soul, the Radiance's aimless reanimated vengeance... in clinging to life, they strip themselves of dignity, and cause unfathomable suffering for naught. Characters who think they will never die, like Tiso, meet their unceremonious end, unburied and unmourned. "All things must accept an end," in the words of Vespa's ghost.

A minor character reiterating one of the central themes of the game: hold that thought.

Few characters have immortality aside from gods. Even with gods, immortality is highly conditional: but that's a different essay. In otherwise "mortal" characters who lasted too long, they seem ghostlike themselves: the pale mourner evokes the classic white lady archetype, and dissipates into thin air once her business is finished. The seer appears to have a conditional immortality as well: once the maximum essence is collected, she, too, dissipates, having finally assured a new Wielder has come.

Quirrel seems to operate on this conditional immortality as well. Considering he left long enough ago for the plan to be put into action, the fail of it, and for the fallen kingdom of Hallownest to become "ancient". Like the Mourner and Seer, he probably should have reached the end of his natural lifespan long, long ago: and, as we see Monomon's mask protect him from killing blows in the prequel comic, it's fairly logical to conclude it's also extending his lifespan. No point in creating a back-up plan if the back-up isn't protected, right?

And what happens if you remove the lifesource?

Well... let's put it this way. "I begin to feel my age" takes on more weight than a quip about how much time has passed, or the burden of memory. Without Monomon's protection, his statement metamorphoses into an admission: Quirrel is starting to feel, body and mind, that his artificially-extended lifespan is catching up with him.

So that's the first half: accepting death. The second half is fulfilling your purpose for living: Let's talk about the Nailsmith.

The Nailsmith is a character who lives to forge nails. That's his art and purpose: to forge a Pure Nail. Once his purpose is completed, he loses his will to live: after all, it's completed. The way the ghosts pass on, and how Ghost too disappears when their purpose (defeat the radiance) is completed, the Nailsmith asks the player to kill him. Even his thoughts revolve around his worthlessness. His dream nail dialogue reads "My life's work achieved… What more is left…?" To the Nailsmith - and the oligarchs of the game - completing your purpose means you have outlived your usefulness. But there is a key difference between the Nailsmith's final* thoughts and Quirrel's final thoughts. For comparison:

"All tragedy erased. I see only wonders..."

This is not the dialogue of a suicidal person. Quirrel is not self loathing. He doesn't feel worthless. He's grateful for the long life he's lived, and the blessing that he gets to experience it twice over. And this is his dream nail dialogue: it's objective truth he's not putting on a brave face but harboring darker thoughts. Genuinely, I would not call these the thoughts of someone who wants to die: this is the thought process of someone who wants to live. You may extrapolate or choose to ignore, but I don't think it's founded to interpret Quirrel as suicidal.

And that establishes difference between the Nailsmith and Quirrel: Quirrel doesn't seem burdened by his lack of purpose. In fact, I don't even think he considered Monomon his purpose to begin with. We know from the Nailsmith that fulfilling your purpose means you've outlived your usefulness; you die, or you find a new purpose. But the Nailsmith's purpose was smithing nails, and he devoted himself to it. Quirrel is called back to Hallownest, but spends 90% of his time in it just... fucking about, to put it crassly. He does want to solve the mystery of his being called, but he takes his time. He doesn't consider his purpose is to serve Monomon; he's not overtaken by a passion or skill; Quirrel is a traveler. He's just after the wonders.

At the end, he does exactly that. He lived a long, full life for himself and no other, seeking out wonders and taking his time. He finished what he was called to do, but it's telling even his final goal - seeing the Blue Lake - is a goal for himself, and not something he was told to do. He spent most of that long life not knowing he had a purpose someone else set, and doing what he wanted.

Despite his final thoughts being of someone who loves living, Quirrel is... almost absolutely dead. The file is called quirrel_death_nail.png. One of his first lines in the game is advising you to loot weapons from corpses, because the dead "shouldn't be burdened with such things," and the last sign of him is his abandoned nail. Furthermore, he abandons his nail at the time Hallownest is most dangerous, with the Radiance so close to being free. Self defense is more important than ever, and a character as wise as Mr. Either-you're-alert-or-you're-dead wouldn't abandon his nail at such a crucial moment! Overall, Hollow Knight is a game that keeps in the classic tragic opera tradition of killing off as much of its cast as possible before the final curtain, and Quirrel is no exception. You can argue that quirrel_death_nail.png is the death of "Quirrel the wanderer," but I'm not going to lie, the signs aren't in looking good.

But I don't think he drowned. Just for fun, let's bring a common fan interpretation into the fray: Quirrel is commonly interpreted as a pillbug. (So do I - it's just too perfect.) Neatly, pillbugs are actually crustaceans, and have gills! Given the general aquatic theme of fog canyon and his final stop at blue lake, the effect is less "giving up" and more "return to homeland/true nature," which is what Quirrel's arc is all about. I wouldn't worry about him drowning.

But if he's dead, and his last stop was at Blue Lake, but he didn't drown, what did happen to him?

Remember the Seer and Pale Mourner, and their conditional immortality? Keeping in line with the other ghosts-that-haven't-died in the resting grounds, I like to think Quirrel, upon completing his task, likewise fades into light. The location, lack of clarity between immortal, alive, or dead, and completion of unfinished business all line up for Quirrel to go the same way. This idea is a bit more of a stretch than all the others, but I believe it suits him. It's fair. It's graceful. It's direct contrast to an unburied corpse or an unmarked grave, like all the Fools at Kingdom's Edge.

So, In conclusion: Quirrel didn't drown himself. He doesn't think he's worthless or that he doesn't want to live. He saw his time is up - and perhaps had been up for a while - and does not scrabble or cling, but bows out with grace. In turn, the wandering scholar earns the rarest jewel in all of Hallownest: a dignified passing.

Rest in peace, Quirrel. You've earned it.

Howdy... Moth?

So, I’ve fallen into the colorful rabbit hole that is Welcome Home. And of course, being me, I had to make an A.U of sorts. Starring, of course, probs my fav character, Howdy!

One of my favorite pieces of fanart I’ve seen for Welcome Home is Howdy as a butterfly. I mean, it makes sense, right? Caterpillar becoming a butterfly, simple as that. 

But, well, do you know what else caterpillars can become? 

Moths. 

So, anyone can use this A.U idea if no one’s done it yet. (I don’t know if anyone has) Below is a bit of a rant at how I think the A.U would go, but interpret it as you would like. 

What if there was a time, where Howdy realized he was going to metamorphizes soon? And everyone gets really excited, including Howdy, who thought he would never metamorphosize. Everyone makes speculations on what type of butterfly Howdy is gonna be and how vibrant his colors will be. 

Frank is of course extra thrilled (the guys probably been waiting for this moment ever since he met Howdy). Anyway, the day comes, and Howdy wishes his friends farewell as he is going to close his Bodega for the next two weeks as he makes his cocoon. Frank’s a bit disappointed, he wanted to watch, but he respects Howdy’s privacy. 

 Well, two weeks pass, but Howdy doesn’t come out. Everyone get’s concerned and they knock on his doors to try and get him to come out. They can hear noises inside, which means Howdy’s awake, but why isn’t he coming out? They try to get in, the doors don’t budge. They try to call for Howdy, nothing. 

It gets to the point where they decide they might have to break in to check on him. Frank volunteers (he’s worried something went wrong during the metamorphosis process and Howdy’s hurt and can’t come out) He gets in through the chimney, armed with a flashlight, and calls for Howdy. 

It’s dark in the Bodega, and what’s worse is that he can hear something moving around from within. He backs up, and collides with something massive behind him. He screams and drops the light. The creature then calms him down and hands him his light back, Frank shines it on the creature and...

It’s Howdy, most definitely. Post-metamorphosis as well, but very... unexpected. 

His antennae are feather like now, and there’s a large scarf of fur around his neck and wrist. He now sports a pair of massive wings that are a milky green color... and very soft and thick looking compared to a butterflies thin and papery wings. 

The fur, the antennae, the wings... 

He’s a moth, Frank realizes. 

Howdy then breaks down, crying about how awful he must look now, and how he must have ruined everyone's expectations. Frank asks how he didn’t know what he would turn into, and Howdy responds that bug parents don’t usually stick around, and that he never saw any of his siblings metamorphosize either before he left. 

Frank comforts him, and says it’s not that bad. Matter of fact, he thinks he still looks very vibrant. He also tells Howdy that everyone is worried about him, and that they want him to come out. Howdy is reluctant and still sorrowful, thinking everyone will think he’s ugly. Frank tells him that’s unlikely, considering how worried and concerned they’ve been. 

It takes a bit, but Frank eventually convinces Howdy to leave. They meet up with everyone else, who are at first shocked at Howdy’s appearance. He explains that he’s a moth and waits for everyone to hate him. 

However, instead of receiving insults, he receives compliments. Most of them saying how their glad he’s okay, and also commenting on his silky and beautiful looking green wings. Also complementing how fluffy he looks now. Howdy begins to cry again, but this time out of relief and happiness. 

They all have a group hug, and thus ends the story of Howdy’s surprising metamorphosis.

Thoughts on HNK 😈

Me, immediately after finishing chapter 97:

I had a general idea where the story was headed because of fanart I've come across, but even after you warned me nothing could have prepared me for the torrent of emotions I would feel ;w;

Apologies but this is going to be discombobulated af (my thoughts are all over the place >_<) and LONG (1.1k words) but that's a given with a story like HNK.

Reading this, especially in the latter half, is akin to watching a rollercoaster wildly veer off the rails only to crash in a crowd of innocent people…. And then it keeps going and keeps running over people in its path. the people, in this scenario, are my emotions :”)

THE CHARACTERS

Ship of Theseus and Phos > Phos’ development throughout the story makes us doubt if this is even the same character anymore. We see the first signs of it after Phos lost their legs and forgot about their promise to Cinnabar, and again after Antrac died, and then it becomes much more obvious when Lapis’ head is installed. This comes to a head when Phos can’t remember their promise after Cinnabar thanks them and when they can’t even recognize their past self on their way to Adamant’s desk. What makes the tragedy of Phos’ character work so well is that they do accomplish what they originally set out to do: Cinnabar’s poison is gone and they’re no longer isolated, Antarc is resurrected and the Gems are finally living in peace (as Lunarians*, more on that in the ART section). But Phos can’t even appreciate what they’ve accomplished because they a) don’t remember and b) CAN’T FUCKING SEE IT BECAUSE THEY’VE BEEN SENTENCED TO BE ISOLATED FOR 10 000 YEARS (jfc talk abt a fate worse than death)  

Overall I really adore Phos! The way they metamorphosize throughout the story is fascinating to watch. I loooooove the buildup of Phos’ suspicions towards Adamant and their downfall feels organic. This is a corruption arc Done Right! They’re truly one of the most compelling protagonists I’ve seen in a long time.

I kinda wish Dia and Bort’s conflict had more focus. Dia building up an image of Bort in their mind, finally gathering the courage to confront them only for Bort to pull the rug under their feet because they changed so drastically is great. I wish we’d seen more of it but I am satisfied with what we got.  Side note 1: I love character’s like Dia that are really cheerful on the outside but hide “nasty” emotions like envy and resentment only for those emotions to boil over. *chef’s kiss* I eat that shit up!  Side note 2: Bort’s character development is hilarious (and not to bring a dead meme back to life but it might be a Jojo reference? Strong stoic character grows up and becomes a marine biologist. Coincidence? I think not!)

Speaking of character conflict! I find it disappointing that most of the closure happened off-screen. Especially Welegato/Cairngorm and Ghost, the last time they interacted Ghost was breaking Cairngorm to prevent them from becoming independent. You would think that would create some uh “tension” to put it lightly. Rutile and Padparadscha (yes I had to look at the wiki to write that correctly) seemingly have a lot of unresolved issues, which makes sense given how fucked their relationship was, but I doubt we’ll get to see them addressed since the manga is ending soon (I think? That’s what I heard? The story does seem to be headed towards its climax).  On the flip side I understand why the author didn’t do it cuz it would have slowed the pacing down.

Cinnabar is my fav so I was really disappointed when they faded to the background, but since this story is mainly from Phos’ POV it makes sense that Cinnabar would take a step back once Phos starts avoiding them. This also explains why Dia and Bort’s conflict rarely has any focus because Phos doesn’t care about it (unless it’s to exploit it).  I do have hope that Cinnabar is going to play a big role in the climax. My theory is that they’ll stay behind with Phos after Phos prays everyone else away since they understand the pain of isolation (same reason they took Sensei’s side) but we’ll see. Everything depends on how Phos reacts (and we all know how notoriously unpredictable they are). 

I feel conflicted about Cairngorm/Welegato. Cairngorm is my other fav and they were one of the most interesting characters and had a fun dynamic with Phos but after the Moon arc they kinda became flat :(  I’ve said this before but there is a tragic irony that Cairn’s attempt to emancipate themselves ended up with them becoming dependent on someone else. I am glad that Cairn is happy and that Achmea hasn’t taken advantage of the obvious power imbalance between them (yet) but I had higher hopes for Cairn. Disappointment aside, I will say that I really enjoyed the scene where Cairn directly confronted Phos on the way that they treat people and correctly foreshadowed Phos’ fate : isolation.

Achmea is a character that I have a hard time pinpointing my feelings on… I think I like him?  I'm glad he doesn’t fall into the annoying “Everything went according to keikaku MUAHAHA” trope. He took advantage of Phos’ nature instead of actively grooming them into “becoming human”, I know it’s a very fine line but it’s a line nonetheless and I appreciate him for it. My tolerance for badly executed “control” characters is very low *glares at seraph of the end* 

Euclase is a character I didn’t really care about til chapter 96. I respected them and Jade for being the first to figure out what Phos was up to when they came back from the Moon, but other than that I didn’t care about them much. But chapter 96 changed that! Thank you Euclase for being the voice of reason!!! ​​🙌 Leaving someone isolated for 10 000 years is fucked up! Thank god someone pointed it out! ​​🙌 

And that’s it for the character section! Those are all the characters I have strong opinions on! (I didn’t include Adamant because I need to reread hnk before I can form a definitive opinion 🤔)

THE ART

The first thing that stands out in HNK is the art. Now, if I were more verbose I could comment on page composition and the author’s use of light and shadow, but I’m not so I’ll just say this: the art in HNK tickles the part of my brain that really enjoys art :D 

I love the character designs and the art, especially the body horror (shattered!Phos is ✨Peak Character Design✨). 

My one complaint(?) is that once the Gems became Lunarians I had a hard time distinguishing/recognizing them. But I’m thinking that might be intentional as a way for the author to comment on cultural assimilation? And given that the Lunarians are the same people that casually brought up genociding the poor fish people... I think it's intentional 🤔

The Buddhist imagery is beautiful. The first time the lunarians appeared I had to pause to appreciate what I was looking at. Sadly a lot of the symbolism goes over my head because I’m not well versed in Buddhist mythology, like Enma being the god of the underworld in Buddhism (I only know that thanks to a comment I saw under the chapter)   

My final verdict is that my brain chemicals have definitely been altered after reading HNK. Even if the author doesn't nail the ending the journey so far has been unforgettable, and I suspect that HNK and Phos are going to be living rent free in my brain for many years to come

I'm really excited to finally share an ongoing project I've been writing for a couple months now! Good Genes has always been my favorite arc in 2003, and I wanted to find a way to work it into 2012's canon through an AU! It takes place during the arc where Karai is infected with a brain worm, and focuses on the conflicts around Donatello's (failed) attempts at finding a cure.

This fic is basically the 2012 version of "Adventures in Turtle Sitting"

1st place, 23 votes: “Boys over Flowers” (2019)

Miharu Ayu: The fight scenes she has against Sakurako (played by Oto Kurisu) and Rui (played by Seino Asuka). I always love seeing Yuzuka in fight scenes but this show was extra special because they were staged as fistfights, which is pretty rare for Takarazuka and made the otokoyaku even more masculine! Seeing her using her whole body to protect Tsukushi (played by Shoroki Mirei) really moved me.

Takasho Mizuki: Domyouji (Yuzuka)’s dance during the song Metamorphoses. I have no other words for it other than that it’s the definition of coolness.

Haryu Mitsuki: In rehearsals, I often see her politely teaching Madoka (Hoshikaze Madoka, Top Musumeyaku) and giving advice to the younger actresses in a soft and gentle voice. So I think that if she was a teacher she would pick up on her students' weaknesses and kindly teach them how to overcome them! And maybe during break time, she’d play dodgeball and other games with her students?!

Yuzuka’s Comment: Being a school teacher must be a very hard job to do, but maybe if I could teach something completely unrelated to the performing arts it would feel like a hobby. For example, how much I enjoyed history classes at school always depended on what period was being taught. Also, I always found it exciting how the structure of each class would change based on the period we were studying. So I think it would be fun if I could teach with some pizazz like they do in high school dramas and films.

Hina Ririka: I’d have heart-eyes if I saw her as a handsome pilot!!! She would definitely be the number one most popular of them all!!

Serina Ei: When I saw her on the national tour pulling along her case as she walked, I thought she would definitely look amazing wearing a pilot's uniform and pulling a carry-along suitcase!!

Yuzuka’s comment: It would be cool to have an impressive job like that wouldn’t it? I’ve often thought about how wonderful it would be to speak fluent English and get to go back and forth between loads of different countries like international flight attendants do. I haven’t done anything to qualify for a job like that though! (laughs)

Toho Elisabeth 2022: Der Tod Comparision Analysis

After years of being a fan, I finally had the opportunity to see Elisabeth live for the first time this autumn. Me and a friend managed to defeat the odds and nab tickets for not just one but two dates, each with a different Der Tod (It's customary for most Toho musicals to have double, triple, or sometimes quadruple casts of its principal characters in their musicals). It was such a fantastic opportunity to see different actors' interpretations of such an iconic character, and seeing as the last Toho-beth was not filmed and previous recordings have not included every cast member, I thought I'd write up a report here for those curious!

Both Tods, Furukawa Yuta (Silver Tod) and Yamazaki Ikusaburo (Purple Tod) brought new and interesting things to the character that I’m really excited to discuss!

ZuCasino, Yuzuka Rei: October 2022

Long time no translations! It's been a busy year but I finally found the time to finish an interview that I really really love, I hope you are able to understand more about Rei with this sweet Q&A! ZuCasino is a current segment in Takarazuka Graph magazine where prominent otokoyaku get interviewed via a series of casino-style games and questions. October was with Yuzuka Rei. I've tried something a little different this time around where the first time an actress's name is mentioned I link her takawiki page. Wataru Hibiki:When she goes off-script her feelings and thoughts are naturally expressed. You can feel it in both plays and revues. I’m always secretly looking forward to the speeches she gives on the first day and the last day of a production because we get to hear her express her feelings honestly to all of us. Yuzuka’s comment:That’s something I care a lot about so I’m really happy to hear that. Even when I have things planned to say, I make sure to not forget what's most important to me when I speak.

Mikaze Maira: When she gives her name on Takarazuka Sky Stage and says “I’m the Flower Troupe’s Yuzuka Rei”. Ahh her AURA! Her NATURAL SEX APPEAL! Oh! She's...The! Cool! Beauty!!! She makes my heart beat faster (laughs).

1. Which character do you relate to the most from your fandom?

Good Omens: Crowley and Aziraphale

Sandman: Dream

2. Which character do you look the most like?

Good Omens: I think Aziraphale, though my hair is a darker blond than his, and I usually don't wear quite as much beige. And I pretty much have Anathema's glasses

Sandman: Barbie, I guess

3. What is your favourite ship?

Good Omens: Ineffable Husbands

Sandman: Hob and Dream, though only because I like the concept of Hob representing Hope and hopes and dreams as a pairing is an absolutely amazing concept

4. What is your favourite CANON ship?

Good Omens: I'm not sure if the Ineffable Husbands count here, because if they're good friends or more is up to interpretation. So I'm gonna go with Newt and Anathema.

Sandman: I'm afraid I'm at a loss here, though I haven't read the books (yet), so maybe something from there (as far as I know Orpheus is featured there, so I'm guessing Eurydice will also be featured there and I love their story in Ovid's metamorphoses, so I guess I'll love it here as well; we'll see)

5. Who is your favourite character (and maybe why?)

Good Omens: To my surprise, that depends if we're talking TV show or book. I adore Aziraphale and Crowley equally in the series. I think they're featured way less in the book though and in a somewhat different way, and while I still very much like them, I was surprised that, when reading the book, I felt a stronger connection to Newt (and maybe also to Anathema).

Sandman: Dream

6. When you first think of the fandom, what image comes to mind?

Good Omens: Aziraphale and Crowley in front of a very blue sky, back to back, starting somewhat confused/irritated in the general direction of the camera, Crowley pulling his sunglasses half down

Sandman: The Dreaming, as it is shown in the beginning of the first episode

7. When did you join the fandom?

Good Omens: I first watched the show in March 2022, was obsessed with fanfiction thereafter (as I usually am when I get to a new fandom) and started to follow some Good Omens blogs on here, got the book in May 2022, but (to my shame) only finished it today

Sandman: I think in October 2022 I first watched the show (I just remember that I didn't watch it immediatly when it came out, because I was afraid I'd like it) and haven't yet read the graphic novels, but I ordered them yesterday and they're supposed to arrive within this week (and I can't wait to get started tbh)

8. WHY did you join the fandom???

Good Omens: This may sound weird, but: Because I saw a really good piece of fanart by pure coincedence (it was of Aziraphale and Crowley) and wanted to see the origin of this ship. Luckily my sister happened to have the DVD version of Good Omens, because I don't have AmazonPrime

Sandman: After I got into Good Omens, I kinda inevitably ended up following Neil Gaiman on here (because he's really witty and I like his posts). And then before (and after) Sandman came out it was a pretty regular topic on his blog (and on most of the Good Omens Blogs I follow). So I liked him, and I liked Good Omens and I thought I should give Sandman a try (not to mention that we once read a part of E.T.A. Hoffmann's Sandman in school and I really liked that). But, as usually when I'm afraid I'll enjoy something, I was afraid to jump right in when it came out because I feared I'd get obsessed with it (which I did anyways, so that's that).

9. What is your favourite fanfic for the fandom?

Good Omens:

This series, which focuses on Crowley's snake-ness:

But I'm also soft for pretty much every fanfiction that includes them grooming their wings

Sandman:

This and literally every single word written by @softest-punk

10. What song do you associate with a ship?

Good Omens: Can't think of any, sorry.

Sandman: I wanna be yours (Arctic Monkeys) with Hob/Dream because of a fanedit I found on here (that I also reblogged a while back)

11. what song do you associate with a character (or 2)?

Good Omens: Surprisingly, none.

Sandman: Orpheus (Saltatio Mortis) with Dream because it's a beautiful song that rips my heart out everytime I hear it. Also Nachtigall und Rose (Saltatio Mortis) with Dream, though I'm not sure why other than that it's a beautiful song that captures the story "The Nightingale and the Rose" by Oscar Wilde and I think Dream might enjoy it for that reason

12. Favourite hc for a ship, character, etc.

Can't really think of any for either, sorry. (Except maybe the concept of Hob as Hope, but I already said that.)

13. If you could be in the universe of the characters, what would you do first?

Good Omens: Honestly, no idea. I'd kinda like to check out Aziraphale's bookshop, but then again I don't think he'd want me there (and Soho is quite a bit away from where I live)

Sandman: Explore the Dreaming, maybe try and find out how I can be of service to Dream
