I'm ok with most pet names in the bedroom. None really bother me.. BUT

I FUCKING HATE SEEING "DADDY" BE SO WIDE-SPREAD SEXUALIZED... this includes calling him daddy and in return having him call you "baby/babygirl"

I still call my dad that sometimes and MIND I have severe daddy issues. But now that we're close after the severely traumatic divorce, the whole deal is that I mf give him the empty toddler look. It's part of the funny heehee haha dynamic... everytime a guy asks to be called that I DIE OF CRINGE (facial cringing ofc)

And the mf... unironically being called baby and babygirl... my dad absolutely still calls me babygirl I fucking CANT

Ok but can we talk about the absolute horror of being watched and monitored 24/7 that the ancients must have had. The citizenship drones being like an Alexa that's constantly following and listening to you (except it's five pebbles and not Alexa lmao). The fucking OVERSEERS. THEY'RE CALLED THAT FOR A REASON. BECAUSE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING THEIR CITIZENS AS WELL AS THE ENVIRONMENT ALL THE TIME. (I would talk about the fact that they all show arti fucking ads as well but honestly idk what else to say about that. Capitalism got yet another society 😔). That's some fucking nightmare fuel dystopian society settings we are being hinted at. You know the Big Brother Is Watching You thing. The book. Yeah that's what it reminds me of.

Just wanna reiterate in case anyone has managed to miss this: AI art sucks. Even using it as concept art to then commission a real, human artist sucks because *all* AI was trained on stolen art. There is *no way* to use AI ethically and, as an artist, I am begging y'all to not.

It is incredibly discouraging and demotivating to see it cropping up more and more in spaces that used to be safe from this sort of soulless shit. Plagiarism and theft suck, even if you aren't making money off it.

Artists, digital artists especially, already deal with constant disrespect and attitudes around the idea that anyone can do what we do and so we don't deserve fair wages for our work and skills. AI has already stolen jobs from real humans and only adds to the wider impression that digital art is easy or "cheating". The artists who've had their work stolen are literally being replaced in search results by AI copies of their work because people are using them so often.

Please just don't. Hire real artists if you have the money. Learn to draw or do basic photo editing if you don't have the money. Make moodboards! Playlists! Facecasts! *anything but ai*

And, if you read this (and every other post by artists asking you to stop) and still want to do it? Please at least tag it so we aren't constantly having this shoved in our faces. Believe it or not, I'd rather not deal with existential dread everytime I log in to tumblr dot com.

(Also, if you're mad about the AI scraping ao3 and still okay with AI art, please examine your biases about whose work you see as worth protecting and whose is a commodity to be stolen and twisted for the monetary gain of others)
