Caleb: And you’ll never attract an upstanding suitor so long as you keep shamelessly flirting in public with married men.

Lilith: Oh, but it’s such fun!

Lilith: [melodramatically] Poor Mother and Father, burdened with two prospectless children. I almost pity them. They’ll certainly die of shame if the family line ends with us. Of course, they haven’t lost all hope. I may be doomed to crusty old widowers, but they’re still trotting out pretty girls for you. You might just marry yet.

Caleb: [mumbles] Isn’t that a loathsome thought?

Lilith: At least they’d leave you be. There are only so many reasons a young man willingly resigns himself to perennial bachelorhood, and they’re beginning to grow suspicious.

Caleb: We both have our proclivities.

Lilith: Yes. But people talk, and their talk is far less likely to wound you if you’re the one directing its aim.

Caleb: Oh, is that what’s happening when they call you the femme fatale of the ball in the society pages?

Lilith: There are far worse things to be called. Count yourself lucky they’ve only latched onto your social ineptitude thus far, wilted wallflower.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - The Earl and Countess of Boykins share gorgeous pregnancy photo showing the countess' growing bump.

Princess Lara and Anthony announced they are expecting a baby earlier this spring and just released a beautiful black and white maternity photo. 

The couple's very modern reveal is in keeping with their push for more independence within the royal family. The picture, taken by their friend Mitchel Harris, shows Lara laying with her head in Anthony's lap. She is staring up at him lovingly, and he has his hand on her head.

Their child will be sixth in line to the throne. 

Lara's due date has not been revealed, but her bump appeared prominent in the photograph.

"The Man Who Didn't Believe in Werewolves"

Once upon a time there lived a man who did not believe in sorcerers. But, having heard enough stories about them, he decided to check whether this was true or not.

One night he took a table with two candles to the middle of the road and began to wait for someone to pass by.

And indeed two shadows passed by him: a werewolf bird and a werewolf devil. The latter told him a terrible story about an old man who lay down next to his grandson’s wife. It all happened like this. It was very cold, and the grandson’s wife asked the grandfather to lie down next to him to warm up. The husband returned and became furious when he saw his grandfather with his wife and beat him to death.

...Then other werewolves passed by, among them were-cats, were-rams, were-goats. They all spoke in the voices of the animals they transformed into, explaining that they needed to see their teacher. Having gathered together, they got into the cart and headed towards the village cemetery. And shortly before dawn, the werewolves began to head back to their villages.

After this incident, an unbeliever was forced to believe in the existence of sorcerers. However, they know about werewolves in all villages and they are found on all roads

The uniforms of the German army have undergone significant changes from the Franco-Prussian War in 1870-1871 to the present day:

Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871): During this conflict, German soldiers wore distinctive Prussian-style uniforms, characterized by the iconic Pickelhaube (spiked helmet) made of leather or metal, and blue coats for infantry.

Imperial Germany (1871-1918): In the era of the German Empire, uniforms evolved to include the iconic "feldgrau" (field gray) color for tunics and trousers. The Pickelhaube was gradually replaced by the Stahlhelm (steel helmet) in the later stages of World War I.

Nazi Germany (1933-1945): Nazi Germany continued with the field gray uniforms and introduced various changes, including the black SS uniform and the distinctive brown uniforms for the SA (Sturmabteilung).

Contemporary German Uniforms: Present-day German military uniforms are functional, practical, and designed for various combat scenarios. They include the Flecktarn camouflage for woodland environments and Tropentarn for desert regions. The standard combat uniform also includes body armor and a Kevlar helmet.

Hime’s Medieval Adventures

Hime jumped up from her spot on the ground and peered down the path towards the garden. Much to her surprise, she found a familiar sight in a familiar place. As she crept closer to him, Sebastian suddenly stood up and locked eyes with her. The very person she worried for most was standing before her in the gardens (where she had ironically chosen not to take refuge in this one time). She hadn’t seen him since The King’s assassination attempt (at least she doesn’t think she had).

That moment was fleeting because Sebastian immediately turned to leave, striding away quickly. Without much thought, Hime hurried behind him and grabbed his hand, stopping him in his track.

A Bonus Strangerville Lookbook Ft. Margaret "Maggie" Pries

For better or worst, everyone in The Bay knows the Pries' eldest daughter. Few are surprised when she goes missing (considering her explosive and unpredictable history), but even fewer are surprised when her obituary is in the news less than a month later. There is one question, however, that the locals share with the grieving, reclusive Pries family: what actually happened to Maggie the night her car broke down in Strangerville?

Breakfast At Tiffany's Posters (Sims 4)

My best friend had this poster on her wall when we were kids and I was always so mesmerized by it. When I actually watched the movie I wanted one more than ever! It's the 60s in my History Legacy on youtube so I made one! It's got two swatches- the actual poster and a sims version of her in the iconic pose. Base game compatible.

What is Equus-Sims?

Let's take a walk down memory lane...

Equus-Sims started out as a blog that I opened sometime in 2010, where I could share equestrian-themed content for The Sims 2. Over the years, with the release of The Sims 3 Pets and the addition of horses, Equus-Sims grew into a wonderful community where we competed together in shows, wrote exciting stories, built legendary bloodlines, and made lifelong friendships along the way.

Featured Above The Lawrence Equestrian Center, or LEC, was the stable that started it all. We had no cc, no poses, nada, but we had our story that inspired countless others to open up their own stables, start their own blogs, and pretty soon we had a whole community of equestrian simmers who needed a place to come to call home, so we opened our first forum in 2012.

When we launched our official "main site" in 2012, we took our community experience and turned it into a game all in its own right. We had breed and discipline associations that ran shows based on the real world, our players built legacies around their riders and horses, and we had a whole system dedicated to tracking points, growing pedigrees, and managing our stables.

Like all communities, we've had our ups and downs. Our growing pains. Our disagreements and our drama. We've split up, gone our separate ways and come back together again, opened up other communities, but at the heart of it all is the legacy we started over 10 years ago: to be a place where we can live out our equestrian dreams, together.

What's next for Equus-Sims?

In a way, history is repeating itself. With the addition of horses to The Sims 4, the ES community has the opportunity to grow and expand in ways like never before. We're welcoming both TS3 and TS4 players alike–although all simmers are welcome–to bring in fresh ideas and new perspectives that support our community mission to write the best chapter of Equus-Sims yet. I hope you'll come be apart of the journey. 💗
