they now have a basement, which i turned into a hot spring i was inspired by the traditional onsen i went to when i was in japan it cost around 8k to make and it's not done yet, but will gradually add more things. i also want to add a gym so that they can work out there instead of the garden

Aside from tending trees, there wasn't much to do around the house and Annika was bored out of her mind most of the time. So she made sure to spend as much time out of the house as possible.

For example: while bathing was an activity that most sims do at home, Annika preferred to go to the hot springs down the street and bathe in the waterfall instead. Anything was a good excuse to get out of the house! The weather was nice enough to allow for outdoor activities, and besides, a little change in scenery couldn't hurt.

Especially not if the scenery was this beautiful!

Don't worry, the kids had a fun trip too! Cadence took them to the splash pads and played with them for hours. Marshall loved every moment, but Cindy wasn't expecting it to be so hot and humid.

Happy Winter everyone!

I took a small break to actually play with some of the new expansions I got for the holidays and spend some time with my husband. We had a good time this year but it was a struggle to get into the spirit on my part for sure. When I came back to the drawing board I was still feeling a bit burnt-out, started and demolished quite a few different concepts then finally stopped and reflected a bit on it. I watched some videos on tiny winter houses I had liked before and tried to get the juices flowing. Finally as I was watching I asked myself, what would be my dream winter vacation? No one around but my husband and hot water under falling snow and trees with fireplaces everywhere. Another video started and I had the fuel I needed, and so came this little love letter to my beautiful man!

So without further ado, I present Pine Falls Treehouse! This luxury Sim BnB treehouse will be the perfect romantic getaway you always dreamed of! Your own hot spring, sauna, full kitchen, and what I can only describe as the nap/video game room. Built to appreciate the snow in style and ALONE. And I think after this year a lot of us could use just that! Since it is a rental and based on a real life Air Bnb, I tried to make it feel like it with complimentary thermoses and snack packs, board games, and little things the host might have left for you, because those things are just so satisfying and I will never understand why lol.

The only cc items I used were:

Ravasheen - Counter Fit Fridges (thank you so much for these, all your mods are absolutely wonderful)

Max20 - Easy Bends Fireplace (thank you! I love your mod themes)

These items are totally replaceable functionally but without them I could not achieve the aesthetic I REALLY wanted, if you don't use CC this house could still be used with a little touchup. It also still looks really good in spring if anyone is curious. It blooms with those purple Granite Falls flowers and ivy all over, I was kind of surprised how pretty it was actually.

-->And then it was off to Desert Bloom Park in Oasis Springs! Where, to my delight, it was actually NOT FUCKING THUNDERSTORMING. (Yeah, I am still bitter about how I had to buy a weather machine to actually DO the sale in Windenburg, why do you ask?) Also to my delight, I discovered that the gang could hang around together and draw pictures in the sand – I had Smiler do a smiley face while Victor and Alice watched, then had Alice do a star while Smiler looked for the perfect spot to set up the food stand. I had them set up nice and close to the central plaza, by the chess tables, then dropped all the food Victor and Alice had made into the table’s inventory –

And set up the ice cream machine on one of the side slots! Because that is what I wanted it for – adding another treat option to the food stand! I set about having Smiler make some chocolate ice cream (after accidentally canceling the interaction once by moving the food stand slightly out of place – these “live drag” objects can be dangerous sometimes) –

-->And while that was going on, I set about having Victor and Alice wander around the neighborhood and gather metals and crystals from the collectible rocks! Because that was my other main reason for coming here – to get materials for future jewelry-making! Alice found some citrine, a time capsule (I forgot to open it up, though, so have no idea which MySim is inside) and some silver (ironic for a werewolf), while Victor got death metal, alabaster, orange topaz, and another citrine from his wanderings. Not too shabby! :) And it was nice to see how pretty the park is in late summer too.

-->While Victor and Alice were occupied with that, Smiler finished their ice cream – I had them set the garnish as banana slices and the topping as whipped cream (would you expect any different from them), then added it to the stocked food and started their food sale! As usual, things were slow to start, though their buddy Presley did show up to help cheer them on. Victor, done with his collecting and apparently eager to meet her, started over to do a “Howdy Greeting” (must be from Horse Ranch), but she left before he could get the chance. Aw. So I instead had him summon his familiar Darkwing, give himself a quick Scruberoo, then sent him to ponder moves at the chess board while Alice ran down from where she’d gotten the silver to make some BBQ ribs at one of the many available BBQs. Smiler, for their part, had finally gotten a customer and was doing their best to convince said customer, Roxana, to buy something –

"Symmetrical Onsen" A hot springs inspired Sims 4 build that could be used as a rental, vacation rental, park, spa, or retail lot. I created this build under my pseudonym, NOPETHANQ, on the Sims 4 Gallery.

I'm leaving Annika to take her waterfall shower in peace to focus my attention on the other Hot Springs visitors. That's right, Neighbour Watch is back! 👀 The lot has spawned a surprisingly large number of sims; here's what everyone is up to:

Neva and Charity are in the hot springs, with the latter telling the former that ruby-red looks stunning on her and that she'd look even more stunning with a set of real rubies that Charity just so happened to have on sale, 25% off just because it's her!

Ruben is trying to convince Tom to adapt a sunnier outlook on life and take it easy every once in a while; but Tom finds it hard to take anything 'easy' when a certain raven-haired maiden is parading around in the nude just behind him!

The elusive sir Harald Talbot made an appearance! He was only in passing and didn't stick around, though.

Even Queen Aruena was there, but she didn't seem interested in either the springs or the chatter, contenting herself with just…kinda standing there.

Annika, who'd moved into one of the hot springs in the meantime, was soon joined by a bubbly younger girl who introduced herself as Beatrice Tanner.

It would seem Ruben had finally convinced Tom to let his hair down; but rather than hair, it appears they'd dropped their breeches instead, since both were butt-nekkid and waiting their turn to soak in the hot springs. Opinions on the guys' (lack of) swimming attire were divided: Neva thought their display was boorish and unnecessary; Charity thought Neva should get over herself and get out of the hot springs if 'hot and steamy' wasn't her speed.

The two nakey men hadn't escaped the notice of the girls in the spring from across, either.

Annika: *blushing and staring right ahead* "Oh my Watcher! Don't look, but there's two dudes flashing their family jewels at nine o'clock!" *thinking* "Is that Tom??"

Beatrice: *unfazed in lesbian, just trying to have a good time* "Pfffft, ewww! Lol."
