The WILDER half of the legendary singular duo!

He's finally done! This one fought me to finish but I HAVE CONQUERED the arts to finally put him into inks!

I tried to implement all of my favorite headcanons, features from the book, and even some slight nods to other wonderful Hydes that I have seen! The outfit seen here is his most comfortable attire we see him in within 'Of Skeletons and Closets'!

Some fun Info!

Hyde looks around his twenties, but in reality, is only around 2 years old. He does however have memories of Jekyll's past that are "his" and sometimes struggles to keep their past separate.

The shirt he wears is actually Jekyll's, he got attached to it once he gained his own consciousness, and never gave it back even though it doesn't fit (He uses bandages to make it fit better). He will not part with it either, no matter how many rips it gets. Luckily, he has a good seamstress to patch his clothes.

Hyde's senses are pretty amped up due to his unique existence. He's incredibly sensitive to textures, touch, light, and sound. He is also freakishly strong even though he looks like he's cousins with a twig.

Hyde's emotions tend to be... everywhere all at once. 110% on all fronts, and seems to NEVER tire no matter what. He does tend to have anger issues, and whiplashing emotions.

This man is 4 foot 11 inches. (149cm for my non Americans), he is painfully small, but he doesn't know it.

I tried to give him every feature that would be called "Ugly" in Victorian standards. Scars (One on his left hand, and one across his leg), freckles, red hair, left handed, wrinkled clothes, exposed collarbones (The heathen).

He speaks in a even Scottish accent, since he has no reason to hide it (and honestly prefers it to the stuck up accents of the posh rich)

For some clarity reasons, Jekyll and Hyde in this AU are... not quite separate. They have individual consciousnesses, and memories, but they are inseparably connected in a way that transcends anything known. A strange dance of duality that is somewhere between beautiful and horrifying.

JEKYLL WIFE REF SHEET REAL!?

She may be a lady, but a lady who puts great value on scientific accuracy. Especially when participating in some discourse at an otherwise boring gala event.

Basic info that didn't fit on the page:

Vivienne Barnett (later Jekyll), late 40s, upper class. Enjoyed a very art and natural sciences-laden education, speaks fluent french. Was one of those kids who'd constantly go exploring, ruining her dresses and bringing home cadavers and all kinds of vermin much to her mothers dismay. Fell for Henry's unconventional theories and open mindedness. Hates embroidering with a burning passion, but loves to paint, read and sing. A microbiologist and illustrator by trade. Her favourite animals are dragonflies.

Personality-wise she's a gentle soul, very patient, very loyal. Though she does have a bit of a sassy streak to her sometimes and can be almost a little too opinionated for a lady of her standing if she so desires. Her naturally investigative disposition and thrist for knowledge however, will soon lead her down a path she'd never thought possible.

Started reading Jekyll and Hyde today, this is peak fiction, was NOBODY really gonna tell me that people straight up think that Hyde's either blackmailing Jekyll for being homosexual or is Jekyll's sugar baby??? Absolutely amazing, 10/10, give me 14 of these rn and I'm so glad I got the clothbound copy since it explains the historical context of blackmail and homosexuality at that time

Headcanon:

Hyde despite being young and reckless doesn’t entirely pass as an average young man: he still has Jekyll’s opinion of fun that is outdated by a few decades (even if it’s only a little in the Victorian era)
