Always and forever…
… The Zanzibar Marketplace Job remains one of my favourite eps.
Also just…
What Eliot says: I’m the retrieval specialist.
What Eliot means: I am the second in command/lieutenant and defacto leader in Nate and Sophie’s absence and you are not part of this family so back the fuck down.
#Leverage#aside from being one of the hottest things on tv in this show#right up there w/ the David Jobs and that fight scene where Eliot grabs guns#like that shot of him turning towards the elevator and smirking#be STILL my fucking heart#but anyway#the EVERYTHING conveyed in that exchange#Eliot proudly cementing his spot as eldest child/lieutenant#the way he detects the trick and then seamlessly plans the rescue#and then they just go right back to the usual#literally Eliot's loyalty to Nate is the only reason he's not just beating Sterling up for the egg#or refusing to come at all#the instant things go wrong he's switching into lieutenant mode and getting things under control#he is literally Nate's left arm Eliot is just as instrumental as Sophie in keeping the team running#and I adore it so much#I'm love them#also just Nate's practically beaming at the end there#proud of all of his kids#also that exchange between Eliot and Tara at the beginning#where she's butting in and he IMMEDIATELY closes ranks#Eliot's a professional and Tara has proven she can be relied on in jobs but there's a LINE#Nate's drinking is a complicated thing and Eliot's not just discussing it w/ anyone even if Sophie sent them#which of course on the other side justifies Sophie's decision to send Tara to keep an eye out#bc while Eliot will chew Nate out for going on a wild bent he will also close ranks to protect him#he'll shut Tara out to protect Nate and then he'll follow him into hell and try to protect him from that#I need to go to bed so it's a bit hard to explain but like#Eliot's issue is that his instinct will be to protect Nate#his loyalty isn't just about the job or fighting it's on a personal level Eliot and Sophie conspire a lot to#corral Nate's issues but I do feel like Eliot just as often takes Nate's side#Eliot worries and cares about him and is part if the Nate recovery plan and he's Nate's other closest confidant

NFL In Paris
Time to summarize this NFL Rush Zone/Miraculous Ladybug crossover idea… The crossover would begin with a prologue, where it is a few years after the end of NFL Rush Zone. Ish, Ash, and the rest are now 15. Ash, though, is suffering a slight dip in confidence, as she was rescued from the latest mission by her teammates after she rushed in. They all power down into their civilian forms then disperse except for her, and she lags behind. R.Z. notices her mood and she confides in him that she wondered if the reason she was messing up lately is that she can’t keep up with the boys, and that’s why she tried to prove herself. R.Z. then shows footage from the Ladyblog.  Alya is live-streaming a fight between Ladybug/Cat Noir and a minor OC Akumatized victim (Harlapin, a bunny Harlequin).  Ladybug and Cat Noir win through teamwork, and Ash is reminded that working together is the only way to beat
Meanwhile, in Wild Card’s rebuilt lair (sorry, I can’t remember the name of it, because I have to rewatch NFL Rush Zone) Wild Card is biding his time.  Drop Kick mentions that there was something in the mail addressed to him, and Wild Card calls Drop Kick on his incompetence.  Wild Card opens the letter (which is in French, but automatically translates to English), and almost immediately a virtual big screen then pops up and Hawk Moth’s face appears on it. Hawk Moth comment that Wild Card has just read his proposition, but Wild Card comments that he’s not falling for any of those “butterfly” tricks. Hawk Moth counters that he had no plans to make him a follower, and that this would be a true partnership.  Hawk Moth mentions that he could help Wild Card get revenge on R.Z. and help him get the Megacores,  Of course, he continues, Hawk Moth would want something in exchange.
“Let me guess. Those ‘Miraculouses,’” Wild Card comments.
“Not quite," Hawk Moth answers. “Just your loyalty, for now. We can both get what we wish.“
Meanwhile, this conversation is being monitored by the Earthbound Anticorian Criminals (Zich, Angkoro, and Stellaria) who are sick of being stranded on Earth and now just want to get home.
And in the rubble of the ruins of the final battle from Season 3 of NFL Rush Zone…Sudden Death begins to rise.
This is JUST the beginning.
In the next few days, Ash is engrossed with the Ladyblog when all of a sudden, RZ 6.0. alerts the Guardians. R.Z. has detected faint traces of Anticorian technology around Paris, and believes that the Earthbound Anticorians may be planning something there.  He also mentions that that this is the off-season, so while they should always be on alert for attempts on the Megacores, the Rusherz will be the first line of defense. Ash wonders if this means she will be able to meet the owner of the Ladyblog or even Ladybug herself, but Troy scoffs, saying that they don’t have time to deal with second-rate wannabe superheroes. R.Z. cautions him that they should not dismiss the protectors of Paris so easily, as not only do they have formidable powers, but their energy is similar to that of the Core. As a cover, the six will be exchange students studying abroad for a few weeks. Their NFLRs will allow them to translate from and to French seamlessly, but they should make the effort to learn the language properly. Because Paris is outside the scope of the passages that connect to the Hall of Knowledge, they will have to travel there via plane. However, they will still be able to transform as normal.
At the same time, Nathalie is “preparing” Warren Zimmer for the position of being Adrien’s coach. Warren remarks that she is a much more capable assistant than the one he has now, but she coldly ignores his remarks. Instead, Adrien comes across the two and Nathalie introduces Warren Zimmer and Adrien, stating that Gabriel has hired “Mr. Zimmer” as his new physical education coach. Adrien is saddened that his father didn’t even think to tell him directly, and believes this just a further attempt to keep him locked up in the mansion. To his surprise, Warren acknowledges how Adrien feels, mentioning that he knows what it is like to have a father too busy with his work to see the potential in his son. The two begin to get along well.
Nathalie then excuses herself and leaves the premises. As soon as Nathalie steps outside, a man and a woman wearing sunglasses grab her and stuff her into a car, leaving a note at the doorstep.
Back at school, Ish, Ash, Ricky, Marty, Troy, and Tua are all introduced to the class. Ash recognizes Alya as the runner of Ladyblog and immediately becomes friends with her and the girls, while Marty wins over the class with his clumsy antics, prompting them to remark that he is just another Marinette, although he quickly befriends Adrien and Nino. Kim and Alix want to test Troy, Ish, and Ricky on their athletic prowess. Chloe, though, gets jealous of all the newcomers and tries to think of a way to humiliate them so they would stop stealing her thunder. At the same time, Tua is trying to fit in, but unlike the others, he doesn’t seem to have found his niche, but his friends assure him that he’ll be all right.
True to form, Chloe arranges a prank which is intended to make Ish, Troy, and Ricky look like fools when they race Kim, but Tua steps in and takes the brunt of it.  It also causes his NFLR to stop working, rendering him not understanding everyone else around him momentarily (since they’re speaking French). Chloe laughs at him while everyone else gets mad at Chloe, and Tua walks away from group by himself. Adrien hears a honk and leaves with Warren in the back seat of the car unseen by the NFL Rush Zone crew.
Meanwhile, in the atrium, Hawk Moth senses Tua’s despair and send out a butterfly to corrupt him.  The butterfly lands on his NFLR.  Hawk Moth greets him and tells him that he feels the plight of a Guardian who is unappreciated and alone away from home. Tua resists slightly at first, but then relents, becoming The Tackler.
Ash, Ricky, and the others try to find Tua, but with no luck, only to come across the Tackler, who they recognize as Tua. They try to talk him out of attacking, but then they decide they have to fight him.  Away from any witnesses, they transform. Despite this, they are no match for him, as he only seems to get stronger as they attack.
Marinette sees the fight and transforms into Ladybug out of sight. When she emerges, Alya and the other onlookers are watching the fight, with Alya streaming the battle. However, despite this, everyone begins to wonder where Cat Noir is.
Elsewhere, Warren is pushing Adrien hard in football drills, but when he sees that Adrien is on the verge of collapse, he eases up and decides to take a break. However, the fight soon is shown on TV (courtesy of Nadia Chamack) and Adrien makes an excuse and a hasty exit, then transforms into Cat Noir. Meanwhile, Warren remembers the instructions Gabriel gave him. Don’t interfere if the boy decides to run off. Warren then chooses to follow…as Wild Card.
During the fight, the Anticorians decide to make their move and grab Nino and Alya while the Guardians are confused about how to deal with Tua, as this is not like Sudden Death or Wild Card’s control. Ladybug explains that they have to destroy the object holding the akuma. At first the Guardians protest, but Ash intervenes, saying that she knows from watching Ladybug how this plan works. Cat Noir finally arrives on the scene, and all the heroes beat The Tackler, and revert him to his normal self.
At the same time, from Wild Card’s sub, Drop Kick is also looking at these events. (Yes, everyone has an agenda!)
Back at the atrium, Wild Card and Hawk Moth have an exchange. Wild Card wonders what this plan is, since he knows where the one trinket is. Why doesn’t he just grab that one and get the other one from the girl some other time? Hawk Moth, though, is not in the mood for backtalk, as he just found the note the Anticorians left.  And Stellaria appears in front of the two of them, saying  “Hello Boys.”
Meanwhile, Sudden Death is now shambling back to life. This is unbelievably due to Lord Xactu, the Anticorian warlord has arrived on the run from the revolution he could no longer contain. To do restore them both to their former glory, Xactu and Sudden Death will need the power of the Megacores…Megacores that happen to be lightly guarded because the Guardians are in Paris, not America.
And Belan, the Anticorian Prince, has also arrived in the sector to bring Lord Xactu to justice as well as revisit his “Knights of the Sky.”  The Anticorian female rebel is also there, and is thinking of Marty.
And to top it off Jackson and his stepfather arrive in Paris, not knowing any of this craziness is happening.
That’s all in part one.
In the next part, at the Agreste mansion, Nathalie has been replaced with “Miss Stella” (a disguised Stellaria). Gabriel is clearly less than pleased, and Adrien remarks this is the first time in a while he has seen his father actually showing signs of worry. Gabriel doesn’t care about Nathalie, but he does care about what the Anticorians could do to Nathalie, use their tech to make her their servant and possibly ruin all their plans.  He can’t even locate her via her negative emotions because their Anitcorian cloaking field repels his butterflies. There is some connection between Anticorian technology and the power of the Kwamis.
However, the Anticorians have something else up their sleeve (remember, they just want to get off this world), as they decide to use the same Anticorian technology on Nino and Alya that they initially did for Warren Zimmer (when they forced him to become Wild Card again against his will). This turns the pair into Lady Wifi and the Bubbler again, but while their personalities are now villainous, they aren’t bound by the same obsessions as they were when under Hawk Moth’s spell.  They even get the ability to disguise themselves as their non-powered selves.  So now Alya and Nino aren’t just evil again, but secretly working for the Anticorians…as long as they find it fun.
And poor Marinette and Adrien are even more in the dark than usual, not knowing their new friends are superheroes (and in Adrien’s case, that Warren Zimmer, his cool coach he’s bonding with given their shared father issues, is a supervillain of the NON-akumatized variety) but that their best friends have been corrupted by the Anticorians…and there are more Anticorians about to have a showdown on Earth.
