Tian Guan Ci Fu/tgcf (book series, donghua) - I stumbled upon this randomly back in 2021 through its brand new donghua and I've loved it ever since. I adore the characters and the plot is both extremely complex and absolutely wild. it's roughly 750,000 words but I was able to read it in a week despite having school because I was so invested in it!

Moriarty the Patriot/mtp (manga, anime)- I think this is funny bc I tried watching bbc sherlock once and did NOT like it, so I just thought I wasn't into the sherlock holmes stuff. WRONG! I just had to discover this. I call this the "best sherlock holmes adaptation" for a reason (check my current pinned post, you'll find many reasons why I love mtp; I don't want to sound like a broken record so I don't plan to repeat them). I can't wait for when (or if) the manga comes out of its break/hiatus

Good Omens (book, show) - both the book and the miniseries/show are so near and dear to my heart. I always have a soft spot for watching supernatural entities fall in love (with each other and) the world around them. also, it's funny as hell

Promare (movie) - goooood I love Promare it's so neat; love the colors and the shapes and the plot is fun despite its simplicity. I could rewatch this movie every day for a month straight and not get tired of it

Arc of a Scythe trilogy (book series) - this is not something I've talked about a love, but this is one of my favorite book series! found it back around the same time I did tgcf; it's fucking insane I loooove the worldbuilding and the main cast, and by the second book every other page was like a plot twist gutting me in the best way possible; it's made me ponder about life and death on more than one occasion too

Matched trilogy (book series) - I started reading this in either 5th/6th grade but didn't really get it so I kinda forgot about it until around 2021-2022 (what? I actually had time to READ that year!) and managed to reread it and it was like a third eye opened. I really enjoyed the mystery unfolding in the trilogy! it's pretty cool imo, even tho I think (?) it was meant for teenagers to read

Not So Shoujo Love Story (webcomic) - this webcomic is so fucking funny AND it's wlw! I've been a fan for years it's so good

Bee and Puppycat/Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space (show) - a comfort show of mine (one of many); I'm in love with the atmosphere of the show and how awkwardly real the dialogue tends to be (plus I've been slowly rewatching it with my gf with is always a plus <3); I love both the og and its "reboot" equally, and would recommend people watch both

Snow White with the Red Hair (anime) - I haven't read the manga for this one, but I've seen the anime and it's another comfort show of mine. It's so sweet and cozy and the entire cast is lovable; even the "bad guy" in the first season is someone you grow to root for by the end of the second season. it's great!

Supernatural (show) - even tho I haven't finished the show and idk when/if I ever will, I still consider it a favorite media of mine. not bc I think it's great (it's good in most places, lacking in other), but bc I pretty much grew up with it. I have a core memory of watching the first handful of episodes when I was younger with my dad on the couch with the first time and being hooked on this strange show about supernatural creatures (I was that kid that enjoyed the supernatural! I read ghost story books, I binged every Goosebumps book I could get my hands on in fourth grade, I had a creepypasta phase, etc); even now in 2024 I've been sitting down with my dad to rewatch it with him before I go back to my college dorm and start back up classes. it's less so one of my favorite medias because I think it's good but because I associate it with my family <3

10 Anti LO Asks

1. Are death gods like a class lower than Olympian gods? Minthe says that Hades can buy all the suits in the world and still stink of death and Apollo refers to Thanatos as Poor Man’s Heremes and also reeks of death. Do they smell bad, or do people just hate them for existing? You’d think they’d be a little more fear controlling death/underworld

2. for the person saying "come on, persephone being a self insert isn't bad" completely misses the point.  As a young writer I used to have self inserts until I realized that my favoritism overshadowed the narrative and didn't allow for my characters to experience consequences or be in the wrong.  This is how creator's pets get made, and no one likes those because they ruin the story and take away attention from other (more interesting) characters!  (1/2) 

We are clearly seeing this in LO.  Persephone is essentially a perfect little goddess who keeps getting powers, is probably going to be revealed as one of the strongest goddesses, and her issues (sans the two giant ones we know what it is) almost never personally affect her.  No one gets angry at her in a meaningful way unless the narrative wants us to demonize them, and when they suddenly "see the light" and go to her side, they're rewarded!  THAT'S why persephone as a S.I is bad

3. Ok. I think Daphene and Thanatos are the best ship. I would read this story...also,Thanatos is the grim reaper...how metal would be if he take down LO Apollo and LO Hades? Yes, I'm aware this would be impossible in the.original myths but HEY why not? RS is not caring for the source material

4. RS’s writing is such a mess of contradictions between actuality and intent it’s hilarious: 1) Hades is supposed to be seen as a good guy yet is portrayed as a tyrant who somehow still manages to be a Gary Stu. 2) Persephone is simultaneously overpowered (fertility goddess powers) and powerless (is just a college kid) to the point where she’s viewed as a spoiled rich brat living consequence-free and destitute young woman left with no options but to marry to get out of trouble 

3) Artemis is supposed to represent a separatist feminist yet is depicted as foolish, British and out of the loop for humorous effect by the poss poor excuse of a comic which calls itself ‘a feminist feeling’. 4) The lack of time skips coupled with RS’s need to give HxP as many ‘cute’ moments as possible makes the comic’s progress feel slow for the reader when it’s actually progressing at breakneck speed if you go by the character’s timeframe. 

5) Wants to treat SA with nuance and sensitivity (RS almost manages to do it at first) but then uses Persephone’s rape as trauma porn, a means for pushing her closer to Hades while reminding the reader of his differences from Apollo and a means of furthering the side plots (Artemis’s descent into depressed confusion, Eros and Psyche’s romance, Hera’s quest to get the mains together).

5. i genuinely do not want to see whatever reason rachel thinks up to have zeus and demeter not like each other because it's either going to be a "shock" incest twist (unlikely) or it's going to be something akin to how she made apollo to persephone and maybe zeus stole her "fertility" and thats why she couldnt have persephone naturally and why demeter isnt a fertility goddess but persephone is. like no writing choice is good in this so i guess brace for the worst from her in this regard.

6. i honestly get sad looking at old LO art because not only is all the charm gone, but the colors also got way worse. hades used to be this subdued, rich dark blue with icy blue hair while persephone was a nice shade of pastel pink with magenta hair, but now theyre all one shade of neon. there used to be choices put into the art but now its just lazy. like hades looks like a blue highlighter, and persephone like her personality is only one nauseatingly bright shade and thats it 😞

7. i feel like if at least the writing in LO was good the art would excusable, you know what i mean? and the same can be said in reverse, but both are just so bad (or was never good to begin with) that it just seems inexcusable? like at least put effort into one, not half assing at best for both.

8. i mean for all we know bc thats how how psyche normally looks the braids are just a nymph disguise that basically pops away once shes human looking again. regardless the whole thing is nasty once you think about it and idk what we expected from a white woman to begin with. she thinks persephone revolving her whole world and being dependent on hades is feminist and making a canon bi god a r//pist is groundbreaking too like ....

9. lets add to the psyche is black-coded discourse: anyone want to mention how nasty it is she was literally sold off to a WHITE MAN for eros to save her from (ignoring the fact he proceeded to lie to her while having a sexual relationship), made her loving parents into abusive assholes, and psyche just happens to be the only character who is illiterate despite being a princess? the whole thing reeks of internalized racism on rachel's part, and her now giving her braids kinda makes it worse, tbh.

Because Zeus calls her "the goddess/muse of history" but Polymnia is acutally the muse of hymns, CLIO is the muse of history, how did they get that wrong? Her name literally means "a lot of hymns"! And why is there a muse in this??? Even she says that she shouldn't be there because she doesn't work in anything similar to law, did Zeus really asked her to make a POEM in a TRAIAL??? You wanted it so, so bad. Not even the clothes you stalked online and waited for them to be announced on sale could compare to the amount of desire you had for the one and only Choi Beomgyu! All you wanted was to show love to him and see the way he’d react to know how someone cared about him more than the whole world burning up. It all meant nothing if you haven’t been reciprocated with the only love that would definitely power your heart to beat every day.

Actually, maybe you were a bit dense too when it came to these matters. The other day, Beomgyu came up to you with dusted pink cheeks and asked you so quietly to go to the cinema with him. Initially, you were stunned at first with wide eyes and a hanging jaw because why would he ask you?! Originally assuming that it was a joke, you made sure to laugh about it in your head and kind of get sad in the first place that he would never say these things to you because he probably only saw you as his good friend. But when you saw the sincerity and genuine curiosity in his eyes, you couldn’t help but obviously say yes. 

So that’s why you’re here. You made sure to come an extra fifteen minutes in order not to be late and because you were overflowing with excitement. When you woke up in the morning after waiting a few days for this one to come, you were shaking with so much anticipation you had to scream in your pillow several times and tell everyone you met about it. You were just that happy about a boy who made your entire world. And you’re not complaining, Beomgyu was more precious to you than anyone could ever come close to. 

To your surprise, the boy with sweet, sparkling eyes was there too. He was looking down at his phone, texting someone as his fingers toyed around more towards the bottom of the gadget, but you wouldn’t be surprised to find if he was playing a game either. You grinned graciously at how he dressed well too, with a fluffy brown sweater and a pair of light blue jeans that was a perfect combination for it. In short, he looked like an adorable bear- and boy, would you give anything to cuddle him. But no, let’s not say it out loud to embarrass yourself~

“Beomgyu!” You yelled out to him, hanging tighter onto your silver purse as you walked quickly to him. He looked up from his phone, searching to see the face who was right in front of his nose. The way his face lit up made your heart dance and it was contagious enough that you smiled back as well. Gosh, you were in love with those delicate, chocolate brown eyes.

“I’m right here, silly,” you teased, booping his nose as he chuckled at your playful words, “I’m just glad you came. Have you been waiting long?”

You waited for a few seconds for him to answer, but the only thing he was doing was gazing at you with a tiny, shy smile on his face. In your head, you were panicking and wondering if there was something that stood out in a bad way. Hopefully you weren’t looking too shabby, you put a lot in the outfit you chose to wear today just for him. Did he not like it after all the effort you noticeably showed? You stiffened immediately and that was when he finally responded.

“You look... so pretty,” he mumbled under his breath, his eyes glancing up to meet yours that naturally widened a little. It wasn’t what you were expecting for him to say and you silently looked away, avoiding his intent eye contact. Your lips quivered when you tried to purse them together, trying not to break out into a smile that the love of your life just called you “so pretty.” And wasn’t he embarrassed that you heard him? You definitely would be if he caught you saying something of the lines that he was irresistible!

He snickered at your reaction, gently ruffling your hair despite your small protests. Secretly- and you weren’t going to admit it- you loved whenever he made touch contact with you. But again, you’re not going to say anything like that to him.

Deciding to change the topic, Beomgyu placed his phone in his pocket before leaning towards you. You almost gasped at the close proximity, tempted to close your eyes until he smirked, taking your breath away with the shy attitude he had before. His duality was too much for you, but you simply couldn’t get enough with him. 

“How about we get the popcorn and snacks? Last one there has to pay for it!”

No doubt that he was a true gentleman. 

Without another word, he dashed with light feet and you were laughing along with him, wanting to catch up so you wouldn’t have to pay yourself.

When the time hit 12:00pm, the film started and you were just as excited as he was. You didn’t want to be seen as greedy, much less a hungry mess in front of him, so your hand just rummaged through the popcorn you two were sharing only once or two times. Earlier when you were the one to lose to him since he started sprinting first, you had to pay for it. However, Beomgyu was the one who bought the treats for you with no complaints and easily handed them to you even if he was the one who really adored sweets. Every time you thought of that fact, a genuine smile would be brought to your face. He was so sweet.

As soon as you entered, you were stunned to see that nobody else was there. Maybe you had arrived early or something, but you checked the time and you were almost close to 12pm by a few minutes. There should’ve at least been someone there, right? You were so confused minutes later when the film was just about to start. Clearly this movie received good views, for it was something both you and Beomgyu agreed on before taking on the tickets.

This was a film containing princesses, so you were nonetheless curious as to why you couldn’t see any kid there. They liked things like this, didn’t they? Happy endings were wonderful and it was a great thing to show your child for a distraction on the weekend. You just couldn’t figure out in your hazy mind when the boy you loved right there why there wasn’t anybody else. 

Quietly you asked Beomgyu why nobody was there, hoping to keep your voice shushed when the intro of the movie loudly blasted, signaling that it was ultimately starting. Although you were the only two there, you wanted to be respectful enough so that only he could hear you.

Beomgyu just smiled at you, whispering back in your ear when he noted that you kept your voice down. 

“I forgot to tell you, didn’t I? I rented a movie for only both of us today so then no one would bother us.”

Your mouth dropped and you felt all the color in your face drain. Just how much was he waiting to save this up? As college students, he would’ve been saving up for it a little with a part time job on the side of studying. Beomgyu was definitely something, you realized. 

The gesture was sweet considering he did this for your date, but how could he turn away so easily with a smug expression on his face? Homeboy must’ve done this to impress you... or he was just rich.

“Is that okay with you? I don’t want to freak you out or anything,” he asked almost hurriedly, and you could hear the panic arise from his voice. You giggled at his anxiousness, leaning onto the ball of your hand on the armrest nearest to him.

“Of course it is, Gyu. I’m just amazed at how you did this for us when you knew you didn’t have to. Thank you so much, really.” 

That answer caused him to sigh in relief and he relaxed, gazing back at you with doe eyes- those doe eyes that practically had you melting in your seat. You would give your whole life just to look at them all day long... that’s how much you really liked him and was hoping he would accept your love.

“Why wouldn’t I? If it’s you, then I would do anything,” he said loudly enough so that you could hear it, obviously making the heat in your face as hot as an oven. You hid it by looking at the screen instead, but you could feel his eyes still linger on your burning face.

The point reached an hour to the film, and for some reason a frown was carved onto your face. From time to time, Beomgyu would look up to see if your expression changed but through it all- there was nothing that really changed.

In all honesty, it only made him more anxious. Beomgyu couldn’t figure it out and was worried you weren’t enjoying it while he definitely was. He found most of the characters adorable but you wouldn’t seem to smile at any point of it. Nothing would work- not even the times when something funny happened! Maybe you thought he was lame for recommending this movie and you would never ever, ever want to see a movie with him again! He pouted at the overthinking in his head, about to ask you if anything was wrong when you suddenly spoke on your own.

“Doesn’t this make you sad, Gyu? Just look at them dancing like that.”

You then pointed at the screen, making him look at the prince and princess waltzing together in a ball room. They were obviously in love, getting the happy ending that they rightfully deserved after a chaos of misfortunes in life that they didn’t even get to choose. 

“How come? This is a happy ending,” he softly murmured, close enough to your ear that it made you shudder.

That only made the frown on your face etch deeper as you faced towards him. As you could definitely see, his eyes were full of concern and you sighed at the fact he could never be yours. He was such a sweet, caring boy, but you weren’t sure if he’d ever like you back. Maybe you shouldn’t have expected anything out of this date when it felt like pure friendship to you.

“Because...” you trailed off, trying to connect the thoughts running in your head together. “It makes me sad because I don’t think this’ll ever happen to me. No one is going to be my prince charming, I just know it.”

The look on Beomgyu’s face was incredulous when you stole a glance at him, but the moment he realized you were staring silently, he swiftly replaced it with an unreadable one.

This time, he leaned towards you, making you stay in the exact same place. Your eyes flickered to his lips and you nervously gulped, hoping he wouldn’t notice how anticipated you were. He wasn’t going to... wait, scratch that thought- it wouldn’t happen for a million years!

He only smirked at this, tilting his head to the side. 

“And why is that?” Like pure velvet on a golden day, you could feel yourself becoming entranced in his voice, failing to notice that he was inching closer and closer to your face. 

You responded carefully, looking at the other side since the eye contact was becoming too much for you. His eyes were entrancing of course, but when he looked that much at you, you could feel your heart stop exactly in your chest. It was funny how much you were whipped for him, despondently wishing every night that he would see you in the same way as well. It heightened your sadness the more you thought about it, causing you to sink into your seat with surrender. 

“I’m not royalty; I just don’t see how anyone can fall in love with me,” you whispered sadly, shaking your head at the reality you came to perceive. As a child you believed that happy endings were real with true love but growing up, it was much different and changed quite a lot of your innocence. 

Suddenly, his hand cupped your cheek. It caught you by surprise and you were forced to look at him- now seeing every single endearing perfection on his face. From his fluttering eyelashes that were special in their own way, his adorable button nose that you wanted to shower with nothing but kisses, to his lips that you were pining for every single night... you could see it clearly now without having to do anything and for that fact, you were grateful more than anything. 

“Oh, but you’re wrong, Y/N. Because I’ve already fallen in love with you for who you are.” The boy then got even closer... letting you gasp when he connected his lips with yours. 

He laid a sweet kiss on your lips, pulling you closer to him by placing his hand on the back of your head if moving that close was possible. You were taken aback at first since you were getting what you wanted for so long before shutting your eyes shut in unadulterated euphoria. It was pure heaven and you melted in your spot, wanting more and more of him for every second you kissed him. 

A happy ending, huh? Something you were waiting for after a while of seeing everyone fall in love with one another. It was finally your turn and you could happily say with confidence-

that’s how you got your first kiss with your future husband during your date in the cinema.

I assumed they met in college, since jack always calls vlad his college buddy/roommate, so jack and vlad for sure met in college, but did vlad know maddie longer? thats surprising if so. -also, not to feel bad for alternate vlad (because, he did lie to maddie saying jack blames her and never wants to see her again...) but. being married to a woman 20+ years and she immediately goes back to jack? if she didnt love vlad and feels like she had to hide shit from him, and says she wasted her best years with him, WHY MARRY HIM. it feels like leading him on!!! cannot believe im feeling bad for vlad, but. this alternate timeline vlad is significantly Less Horrible than Our Vlad. did she not think she'd get funding for her ghost stuff? (which, fair assumption since they're considered 'ghost fanatics/nuts in canon...but...) why did she think jack or vlad would be her ONLY OPTIONS? be like your sister. be single. Actually, this au could’ve been really interesting if after the accident, vlad lied to her and said jack never wanted to see her again, but she stays single. You stop right outside the doors, an old gym bag and a cardboard box in hand. You were totally qualified for this job, a masters in criminal psychology and a PhD in forensic science. Not to mention your IQ of 185 and photographic, more properly eidetic, memory. Yet as you stood outside the glass doors of the bullpen, your heart was racing and you felt like you were going to pass out. As you were about to open the doors you hear a voice and a hand grabs it for you.

"Hey, careful there, might drop you stuff." You look up to see a tall, dark, muscular man staring down at you. You smile at him and nod.

"Thanks." He nods as you walk through the doors. "Hey, do you know where Agent Hotchners office is?" You turn around to face him as you ask your question.

"You must be Emily's replacement. Just up the stairs, his door is open. Good luck." As you flash your smile as a thank you, he turns away to his desk and you walk up the stairs, knocking at the door in front of you.

"Come in." As he looks up at you, he shows a slight smile but not much. "Ah, SSA Y/L/N. Please sit down, you can put your stuff on the floor next to you." You set the box and bag inches away from the chair that you sit in. "Now, normally I would brief you on the job, but as you worked in the New York office before and we have a case, that will have to be put on hold. Welcome to the team, you will fit in nicely." You smile at him as he stands up to lead you to where they would brief the case.

You have finally started to calm down, but as you walk through the whole team stares at you, apart from a man sitting reading a book.

"Good morning, sorry for the early start. This is SSA Y/N Y/L/N. She will be starting today." As you bite on you cheek a kind voice speaks up.

"Hi, I'm Jennifer but you can call we JJ. Welcome to the team." She gives you a warm welcoming smile and you return with yours.

"Derek Morgan." It's the man who opened the door for me just minutes ago. "Good to put a name to a face." Your smile doesn't fade, you feel welcomed for once, and thankfully it's not a boys club.

"David Rossi." You look up excited at the man introducing himself.

"Wait, really? I have read your books, you are a great writer." He chuckles as you look at him, remembering the lines from his book.

Before he can say anything else a peppy, bright colored women steps in. "Well hello! You must be Y/N. Good to meet you! I'm Penelope Garcia but you can really call me whatever. I think you will make wonder boy over there have a run for his money." You look at her confused. "Sorry dear, I may have read up on you, I do it for every new addition to our team. You laugh a little as she says this.

"Baby girl, what do you mean by Reid is gonna have a run for is money?" She looks at him.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys. Y/N over here is incredibly smart. What an IQ of 185 and eidetic memory? And I think it said you can read 16,000 words per minute, right?" You smile and nod. You have always been very proud of your gifts but never boasted about them, that's unkind.

"Well well well pretty boy," The man reading the book finally looks up as Derek ruffles his hair. "Looks like you might need to move aside as resident genius. Go ahead, tell the girl about yourself." He looks up at you. You try not to blush as he looks at you, the most handsome man you have ever seen.

"Uh hi. I'm Dr. Reid. Spencer. I have an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, and can read 20,000 words per minute." You two are so alike but so different. Your talents are similar but your personalities are definitely different. He barely looks up from his book and speaks softly, while you look people in the eyes when talking and are a loud talker, something you need to work on.

"Well, I guess you guys are right. Watch out Dr. Reid, I might just steal the spotlight." In his eyes you did that the moment you walked in. He had looked up for a moment but got shy when he saw you. And when he heard how Penelope had spoke of you, he could barely contain a smile.

"Ok, Garcia go ahead." You sit down next to JJ as she points to the empty seat next to her.

"Portland Oregon. A dj name Jay Johnson was on his way home after leaving the club. He was cutting through an alley when bludgeoned by a club. He was stabbed 31 times and his watch, cell, and computer were stolen. That was 2 days ago." As she continues you read the case file in front of you, quickly getting in all the details.

"Early this morning a Karen Heywood a 30 year old nurse, she died during a home invasion being stabbed 40 times after being bludgeoned by weapons of opportunity." You look at her.

"The file says that there were 8 weapons."

"So we are looking for a group?" Rossi speaks up.

"Most likely, we only have 9 hours until night fall. We can discuss more on the jet. Wheels up in 10." You stand up as Hotch finishes talking. JJ grabs your arm.

"Hey, slow down. Sit." You look at her confused and slowly sit down. "I saw you blushing at Reid." Your jaw drops as she says this.

"I was not!" She looks at you brows raised and smiling.

"Don't even deny it. I saw it with my own eyes, but be warned, Derek and Garcia will make fun of you if you don't stop being so obvious about it." I smile and walk away to go get my stuff only to see Derek carrying it to a desk.

"Oh. Thanks." He smiles at you.

"No problem kid." You grab your bag and head to the jet following the rest.

After Hotch finishes and we are all left to do what we want I go to sit by Spencer noticing the book he is reading. "Do you like Arthur Conan Doyle?" He is reading 'The Narrative of John Smith' a classic.

"Hm? Oh, uh yeah. You know his books?" You smile and nod.

"I love them. My favorite writings of his are the Sherlock Holmes ones, I'm a kid at heart, what can I say." He laughs a little closing his book. "Oh I didn't mean to interrupt you. You can keep reading. I was actually going to come over and read too I just-" He stops you talking.

"No, no you're fine. I was just finishing it anyways." You smile at him, your face starting to burn. "I was going to get some coffee, do you want anything?" You nod.

"A green tea would be nice."

"You know green tea is really beneficial. It helps improve brain function, helps prevent cancers and type 2 diabetes, can help with weight loss, sorry. I tend to ramble." You smile at him.

"No, don't worry. I do the same. Continue. Please." He smiles and continues but you don't listen. You're to busy looking at his features. Beautiful honey gold eyes that could put you in a trance. His hair was wavy but well kept. His cheek bones and jaw were strong. All you could think about was him.

"Y/N?" Oh shit, you had been practically ignoring him. "Are you ok?" You nod.

"Yeah sorry, just spaced off." He lost his smile. "Oh, Spen- Dr. Reid, it's not you. I just tend to space off a lot, ask any of my friends and family." His smile came back to his face. It's your favorite thing about him.

"I will got get you that tea. Honey?" You nod.

90% of the time I have no idea what to ask, often bc I have little to no context about the subject, but I really like to see you brainstorming away! Though I s'pose... You mentioned JULP in an earlier post but I'm fuzzy on the details. Who are they? I'm curious about their signature colors too -- Jet's is obvious, but the rest are less so. These are the tricksters you have, right?

JULP used to be known as JLEP, and were as you've guessed, all based on trickster figures. I used to have Loki but I wanted to avoid dealing with the Nora Problem, so recently I traded them for Anansi.

The whole team actually uses black as a main color, with Jet using it slightly more than the others.

Jet Seddik (Jet as in the gemstone) is Set the Egyptian god of chaos, using both black and green interchangeably. His weapons are paired khopesh named Dexter and Sinister, which combine into a compound bow he fires Dust Arrows from. His semblance, Omen, lets him see up to 10 seconds into the future if he concentrates; he usually uses it to read his opponent's movements. He is a Fennec Fox faunus (with fennec fox ears) with dark skin and short hair, wears glasses and is reasonably muscular. He's a kyoya/joker-type manipulator who likes everyone to think he's planned everything.

As the third son of Heliodor Seddick (CEO of Rising Horizon Transport, who make vehicles such as Atlas's ships), the result of an infamous affair with his secretary and lead to a very public divorce with his second wife. He has several siblings all very famous; they are infamously rivals of the Schnee family.

Usilika Manzini (Usilika means Silk in Zulu) is our Anansi, and her primary color is Blue. She's a spider faunus (can shoot webs from her hands, like the spider faunus we met in Menagerie), has dark skin and hair, and wears her hair in dreadlocks. Her weapon is a yo-yo named Be Sweet which she can propel Dust out of the sides while in mid-flight, and can even do this to control its trajectory. Her semblance is still under construction, but it'll be some sort of trap. She's a crafty, clever girl with a "work smarter not harder" philosophy, which is sometimes mistaken as laziness.

She grew up mostly on her own in Vacuo after her parents died to a disease. Her mentor was a (currently unnamed) man who used to be an atlesian inventor, but went missing after some time, leaving his inventions behind for her. She since used them to take care of orphans and runaways in vacuo, their little group becoming infamous as con artists in parts of the country. (The kids haven't been decided but they'll be based on Anansi's kids, with the man being based on the Sky God Anansi bought all the world's stories from)

Lucas Wormwood (Lucas comes from Lux which is Latin for Light) is Lucifer/Satan/The Devil and his primary color is Red. He has pale skin and dark curly hair, and is chubby. His weapon is (at first) a standard trident with no frills named Perdition; while at school (with some help) he builds a dust-shooting trident called Paradise Lost. His semblance is also under construction, but he doesn't have it unlocked as of the start. He's nervous and scatter-brained but has a wealth of knowledge about how Dust and Grimm work.

He was born to members of the Church of Light, a cult with good publicity in Vacuo known for worshipping "The God of Light, Mirth." His familly has been members for at least 2 generations, so he was raised in the church. His parents, Adam and Eve, really wanted him to become a member of the clergy, as his brother, Albus, was. Instead, he was fascinated with dust and Grimm - and already turned off by the church's condemnation of Huntsmen (they incite violence and negative feelings! It's better to live in harmony with God to ward off Grimm) and of homosexuality. So he ran away to join Beacon and picked up a weapon on his way there. (He only barely passed the entrance exam)

Prima Bellona is Eris and her primary color is Pink. She has tanned skin and blond hair that's tied into a ponytail, and she's got a classic hourglass figure. Her weapon is a broadsword-chainsaw called Fairest. Her semblance is called Discord, and allows her to manipulate the emotions of people around her.

Her backstory is... still undecided, but I think she's got beef with her mother (Hera?) and may or may not have played a part (accidentally!) in the stalking/murder of a young girl (Helen of Troy?)

Their plot involves magic bullshit that has nothing to do with Ozpin, specifically with the Goodwitch family, who we learn have magic secrets that while Ozpin knows about, he isn't involved with. Glynda's sister Cereza shows up to discuss the discovery of a magic gemstone called The Heart of Darkness, and this meeting is overheard by JULP who - having been disqualified from the Vytal festival - find it an opportunity to prove themselves. Glynda knew they were gonna go so she gives Cereza instructions on how to deal with them and to come back after checking out the lead. Unfortunately they don't get back before the Fall of Beacon so it's significantly harder to work out with her how to proceed, especially since their ship falls.

Cereza is their Qrow equivalent, and... is basically Bayonetta with trappings of the Wicked Witch of the East. She's got a portal semblance called No Place and her weapons are boot-mounted pistols called Rubrum and Argentum. (A ruby and silver pistol, yes.)

I used to watch all of my series in German (like H2O) bc obviously they were on german tv so they were german- and i knew that most of these actors i saw on tv were american and i was always SO fascinated that they all learned german for this show??? Personal Head canon: Isla was an on-purpose accident, when it comes to conception. her mothers both had to grow up a bit quickly when they learned they had a baby on the way, but they had never been more happy to. luna and kody learn just as much from Isla as she learns from them. both woke up a little late one morning and found Isla in the kitchen in a mess of making breakfast, before they realized they didn't have many of the ingredients to do so. turns out Isla had taken their debit card just across the street to the small grocery store and bought the things that she needed, having accompanied her mothers grocery shopping countless times before, she knew well how to do it herself. this was the day that she made friends with a neighborhood cat, and the store bagger lady named Millie. Warnings: Creepy people, not getting the hint that a person’s uncomfortable, unwanted flirting, and talk about emotions bc honestly what are they?

He smiled as Eijirou took a bite of his onigiri, Tamaki sighed softly at his younger brother, as said boy had specks of sticky rice on his face.

It was a lazy Sunday morning, the boys were home from school, and Taishiro was enjoying his day off.  

“Did ya have a good day at work, Papa?” The ruby-eyed boy inquired, and Tai smiled, ruffling his hair.

“Ya bet I did, kiddo.”

 He didn’t tell his boys what he had exactly did for a living, but he promised himself that he would, in the future. So far, all they knew is that he was a professional dancer.

“Dancing must be hard.” Tamaki broke the silence after chewing on his scrambled egg, and his father laughed.

“Nah. It takes a lotta practice. Did you boys had fun at yer day at school?” He pondered, sipping from his cup of coffee.

“Yeah! There was a nice new boy who was shy! There were some mean kids, but I protected him!” Eijirou rambled excitedly. Taishiro chuckled, and then looked at Tamaki.

“Mirio fell in a puddle. Face first. I had to take him to the nurse.” He shrugged, yet Taishiro didn’t miss the soft glint that speckled in his eyes. He smiled.

“That kid’s pretty resilient, huh? Anyways, eat yer breakfast, then we’ll head out to the park, alright?”

It was a pretty November day. Skeleton trees hovered beneath the rich blue sky as your shoes crunched up against the fallen colorful leaves. Although it hasn’t been a week, yet, you were slowly re-adapting to your hostess job, and nit and tucking the dancer’s clothes.

You were surprised on how many had requested your services, staying absolutely still as you kept a cool facade, keeping the pointed needle from digging into skin as you measured, cut, and sewed loose fabric. You believed in your abilities, yet it felt as if it didn’t matter.

You weren’t good at holding the obvious flirty conversations that somehow were being thrown at you out of nowhere. They would giggle, and you had to still your hand so that you couldn’t accidentally jab their shaking bodies, whilst trying to be polite.

Where did the sudden interest come from? You wondered. Your mother, undoubtedly, was on high alert as she noticed it, too. The flirting, joking, the inquiring questions. Luckily, the fitting room had a camera, and thankfully, your patients had known it too, so they were extra careful in not doing anything that was against the regulations. Your mother was watching, you all knew.

Speaking of which, she did not try to make things better. She would wink, or make subtle little jokes, as she explained that it was good for business. You couldn’t help but press your mouth in a firm line.

You worked so hard, finding the perfect materials, ignoring your own discomfort as you bit the bullet and tried to focus on making the outfit snug and resilient, while the owners ignored your tense shoulders and set jaw. You were appalled, as they used alluring honeyed words, directed your attention to a “loose” fabric between their thighs, and so on.

You, feeling a surge of retaliation, growled out that it would cost extra for you to fix certain areas, and preferred that the outfit was on a mannequin, instead.

Your spitfire attitude had certainly weeded out a few of the unwanted customers, but, gained some more who thought it was a challenge. You didn’t miss the look of sheer pride from your mother, however, as she sported a wicked grin.

“That’ll teach them. Might make your blond a little less jealous.” She winked, and you paled in question. He was jealous? Of what? You were only doing your job, charging the dancers a certain amount, and giving your mother, your boss, a small part of the revenue as she requested. Although a thorn in your side, she was also a beautiful rose, and you knew that she was helping you in her own way, thus, opening your eyes more to the situation.

It didn’t take you long to realize, that yes, he was jealous, and you were too busy to acknowledge the possibility, until your mother had to basically tell you. So, you took your time to observe your surroundings.

Daggers for a stare had met each and everyone of the customers who had followed you into the fitting room, you’ve seen. While hosting, you started to take breaks to watch him, much to the oddly placed chagrin in the other dancers. His style was a little different, more suave and seductive, rather than downright dirty. Back against the pole, he slid up slowly as he jutted out his chin, staring at you through blond lashes while sucking suggestively at one of his suckers, hardly minding the crowd as he gave you a show that was basically personal.  

He was addictive, you couldn’t help but think. His outfits, dances, and downright attitude made the other’s shadow in comparison.

 It brought you back to the present. Your feet shuffled against the dirt as you pushed yourself on the swing, breathing out huffs of warm air that meshed with the chilly atmosphere.

 He didn’t make you feel too uncomfortable, either. He did make a request, to tuck in a few strings into his nurse outfit, you remembered it so clearly. He had strutted into your office around the right time, white fishnet stockings and heels blended in nicely with the light aqua blue fabric that left very little to the imagination.

“Jus’ some strings near the neck, Sugar. Might even give ya a sucker if ya behave.” He winked, and you couldn’t help but laugh at how corny it was, earning a smug smile and tinted cheeks. Although a little flirty, he stood perfectly still as you fixed the frayed mess that was near his clavicle, feeling his warmth resonate around you as you couldn’t help but seep it in. You hoped that he wouldn’t say anything about it. How you could feel a thundering, fast-paced heartbeat underneath your fingertips, despite his cocky facade, your face blushing immensely, or how the atmosphere seemed as if it might just break from underneath the metaphorical weight between the two of you.

However, true to his word, he began letting out pieces of information.

“We actually go to the same college.”

 You stopped to stare at him with full surprise.

“What? Really?”

“Well, ya graduated before I did, but I live near the campus. I…kinda saw ya every day. Not as a stalker!” He rushed before you could think of anything.

“-as in, my road to the school kinda passes your road, and I couldn’t help but not look away when ya were…ya know…It’s a very connected town, so I’ve seen ya…around.”

Then it hit you.

“Ah, so you must’ve seen me doing volunteer work?” You murmured, and he nodded.

“Well, yeah. You’re a familiar face. Couldn’t really ignore ya, ‘specially when you’re bein’ so wonderful half the damned time. Ya don’t know me, and I know it might be a lil’ creepy, but I promise ya that I don’t mean to be.” He babbled, face tinting a little more pink, and your ears burned from the forward acknowledged statement.  

So he noticed your volunteer work, and where you lived, and yet you didn’t really see him creeping around the bushes, or any tall figure of his build stalking around, for instance.

“So…is this why you have a sudden interest?” You asked, and you heard him swallow thickly.

“Pretty much. Doesn’t help that you’re kinda allurin’. Like a magnet.” He finished lamely, eyes shifting as he bit his bottom lip, and you couldn’t believe the shy signals that he was giving off as your own cheeks burned.

“Ah. Um…yeah.” You couldn’t help but say, and he snorted. You jutted your chin up and was about to give him a piece of your mind.

“We’re both kinda terrible at this. Anyways, that’s what I wanted to tell ya. Been seein’ ya around and makin’ the world a better place, an’ so I couldn’t help but like ya.” He waved off your short-lived glare as your expression softened.

“I don’t understand? You’re shy but not?” You questioned, nipping the small extra thread that you’ve already tucked in.

He shrugged.

“Emotions are emotions. Ya do things to me that I can’t explain, and I make ya into a flustered mess, and vice versa. I was at first too fuckin’ scared to really say or do anything, because the last thing I wanna be, is to be a creepy stalker in yer eyes.”

“I think I understand. As I don’t believe that you are a stalker…um…how do you? How did you-”

“Body language is a dead giveaway. Studyin’ to be a therapist. Plus, it’s relievin’ to get another validation that ya don’t find me creepy. ‘Specially after hearin’ my story.” He grinned, and your shoulders relaxed as you finished up your work.

“Ah, all done?” He pouted, and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.

“You have another appointments, as well as my number.” You reasoned, and his eyes lit up.

“So, I could call ya?” He asked hopefully, and you found yourself nodding before you could comprehend what he said.

“Awesome. I’ll see ya around, Chickadee.” He hummed, digging into his wallet as he paid you upfront, letting his hand brush against yours, and yet you didn’t mind. All too fleeting, he sauntered away, but not before giving you a final look.

“The ball is in yer hands, in whichever ya want this to be. Although, I gotta up my game, if I wanna keep the competition at bay.” He winked, and then turned to leave the room. The wheels in your head had seemed to stop, before whirling again with realization.

So, he was aware of it all? The flirting and unwanted attention that you were gaining? As if he had to compete against anybody, you couldn’t help but think.

He wasn’t like the other “suitors” who were more aggressive and rude, you couldn’t help but think, your chest fluttering at the idea of him being your partner.

It’s been three days after that. You did shoot him a text, and almost immediately, he responded. He was forward with his interest, and you were still in a bit of confusion, why he, still a stranger, had decided to pursue you so quickly. You couldn’t help but think that the stars must have aligned in the both of your favor, or that it must have been fate, for you couldn’t help but start to like him, as well.

His forward approach, his respectful nature, the duality of his emotions, on how he could be so forward, and yet somehow kind of shy, he hunted at a distance, not too close or disrupting your boundaries, while never failing to look for you, or put on a show.

An excited voice rambled you out of your thoughts, a very, familiar excited voice, and your attention snapped towards the direction at the upcoming person, or people.

He sucked. He was a sucker, and he let his emotions get the best of him. Why did he have to spill out everything? Now she knew that he was an eager fool, and he didn’t mention the most important part; his two boys. Although not biologically his, blood didn’t matter, they were his sons.  

Of course, while in his interest in pursuing, he was so caught up with classes, dancing, and raising his kids, a lot of things had passed his mind. He remembered laying in the darkness of his bedroom, staring up at the ceiling as his heart clenched.

What if she was only attracted to his dancing? The two of them had never made plans to meet outside of work, and if they did, would she be turned off by his more shy attitude? His more softer, meeker side? Unwanted thoughts swirled within his head.

He was making a mistake, he was putting too much time into a woman who he barely knew, and if she did like him, would she like his boys? They would always be his first and top priority, he could never lower their needs before a potential future partner.

Growling, he picked up his phone, searching for her contact. He began typing, and re-typing as he made sure that the sentence sounded perfect.

Me: I know it’s late, but do ya wanna go to the park, tomorrow around 9 am?

He bit his lip and pressed send. It’ll just be a hang out, he told himself. He’ll bring his sons, and if she reacted negatively, he would stop cold. Maybe move to another club. It was his fault for not mentioning that he had kids, and he didn’t blame her for not wanting to deal with him for not telling her in the first place. She was an adult, she could make her own decisions, and children might not be her priority, and he could respect that. The fated ding of his phone pulled him out of his thoughts.

Chickadee: Sure. It’s supposed to be chilly, tomorrow, so wear something warm.

His cheeks felt like fire as his heart warmed up from the thoughtfulness. A chuckle escaped his throat. Even while texting, she still used proper grammar, and he couldn’t help but find that adorable. He kind of hoped that she wouldn’t be upset that he had kids, and he wouldn’t force her into anything that she didn’t want, if he did break it to her that he wanted to see her as a partner.

He was a dumb mess, he told himself. However, he wouldn’t mind to have her as a good friend, if anything else. He couldn’t help but like her, and she had a blunt, straight to the point attitude mixed in with that sweetness.

    “-lunch lady?!” A voice gasped in shock, the three familiar figures caught your full attention. Time stood still as you recognized the two small boys instantly, and behind them, stood none other than Taishiro. Surprise had hit you, but you couldn’t help but feel joy as little arms wrapped around your leg as you stopped the swing, seeing Eijirou glanced up at you with a toothy smile and bright eyes.

You couldn’t help but smile, pinching his cheeks a little as he giggled.  

“Hey, um, small world?” Taishiro asked, breaking you out of your trance.

“I volunteered at the orphanage a while back. That’s amazing, I’m so glad to you two, again.” You explained, looking at the boys.

“It’s good to see you, as well.” Tamaki said softly, and you smiled at the slightly older boy who gripped Taishiro’s jacket.  

“Oh, that’s pretty neat. Ya were in dietary?” He asked, sitting down on the swing next to you, Tamaki following closely. You looked down a bit shyly.

“Um, yeah. They were kind of short staffed, that year, and I was a pretty familiar face, so they asked, and I said yes.” You rambled, and he chuckled.

“You’re right about the pretty part.” He winked, and you huffed out a surprised laugh.

“Do you ever not flirt?” You inquired, and he grinned.

“I don’t flirt as much as ya think. Anyways, I wanted to know, if ya like to hang out with us, for the day?” He murmured softly at the end, and you felt yourself smile a little.

“I’d like to. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the boys. Although I missed the children, I couldn’t really stay, had college to go through, you know? It’s good that they’ve been adopted.” You rambled, watching Tamaki push Eijirou gently on the swing next to yours, the shyest of smiles graced the raven-hair’s features as the two were basically in their own little world.

“When I first came to this town, I didn’t really have anybody. So I took some time to think it over, and decided to adopt. They’ve been the light of my life for three years, now. Can’t imagine bein’ without ‘em.” He said softly, and you felt a burst of warmth envelop you.

“It’s good that they have a good dad. Do they know of your-?” You let the sentence hang, and he shook his head.

“Later. I doubt that they’ll judge, but I don’t want ‘em to know, just yet.”

It surprised you on how easy it was to make small talk, each of you opening up a little bit more. You fixed Tamaki’s coat, brushing the hair out of his eyes slightly when Taishiro had offered the group to get hot chocolate from the coffee shop that was near, chuckling as Eijirou’s eyes widened with pure glee.

Tamaki gripped your hand, Eijirou gripped Taishiro’s, and Taishiro held your free hand as the four of you crossed the street, and you couldn’t help but feel warmth at the domesticated atmosphere within your little group.

You wouldn’t mind if these sudden feelings stayed a little while longer.
