Kiriman from Ozanari Dungeon. he's a mute dog wizard who communicates with signs (not sign language, he literally writes on signs and holds them up)

Dr. Paula Hutchinson from Rocko's Modern Life. she's a dentist, vet, and surgeon who got hitched up with a turtle in an episode defying the taboos of interracial marriage. (rocko's modern life is based af)

The Gromble from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, the principal for a school focused on human-scaring subjects. his voice is delightful and i am such a sucker for his insane body layout and fashion sense

and finally, Henry's Cat from Henry's Cat, a character that somehow exactly embodies the energy of popuko from pop team epic but 40 years earlier. (nobody knows who Henry is btw)

I think future doctor who writers will be in poor shape if theyve never seen classic who and are playing telephone with what new who presents about doctor who because, like, what classic who does for me (when it has good stories and characters in it's own right) is it shows me that a lot of the things we consider to be the formula for doctor who are not necessarily required. Companions don't have to be young earth girls who meet a horrible fate, the Doctor doesn't have to go peacefully to their own death, gallifrey doesn't have to be gone (die Chibnall die), these are not necessarily the status quo.
