❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄ JUST A DUSTING ❄ Midnight flurries A dusting growing stronger And colder Lightning fast billowy bits smash silently into my windshield While under orange street lamps Slow motion snow flakes defy time and space I speed through it all Barely holding the road Passing through the present bits And future and past floaters This landscape must be interdimensional If it's anything at all I travel through time and space On my familiar roads Doing my best to keep myself rubber side down Like some cosmonaut pretending his little dials and knobs protect him from the untamed vacuum of space Too busy checking and double checking instruments to take notice of the indescribable beauty unfolding before him Driving through that too familiar winter precipitation Smiling a bit But never quite succumbing to the awe of the sheer complicated collection of mathematically nearly impossible natural occurrences I've become so accustom to Except now I know I may live to one day see the last snow flake fall The last winter break the heat of summer The last people to think they could control anything at all But this This is just a dusting #thelouniverse #poetry #poetsofinstagram #poetsofig #poetryonthefly #poetrysociety #museexchangeny #longisland #nypoetry #poemsporn #wordporn #poetsociety #snow

I found an empty notepad, and I decided to draw something and then I remembered it's #inktober .
