The first time I saw the loved ones I hated them. So much. Fuck. Bob and I hated them, the following answers why.

They opened for NOFX at the house of blues, excellent venue for NOFX, but no one knew who the hell this green day rip off band was that were opening. They played to long during their set so: our favorite band ever, the lawrence arms, had to play a shorter set. We were so crazy about the lawrence arms that we met Brenden in the crowd, Bob exlaimed as he walked away from us: "BRENDEN, BRENDEN, everybody! That's Brenden Kelly!"

Brenden turned around and Bob hid himself from view, just trying to be a little dickesh like he always was. But anyway, The loved ones played too long and cut the lawrence arms set short. We left the show in the middle of NOFX's set, we were mainly just there to see the lawrence arms.

A few days later after the show Bob whispered to me: "remember that band that opened the other night called the loved ones."

"Yeah," I said.

"They're really fucking good. I mean, really fucking good. Dude I feel so bad that we booed them while they were playing."

Well that was it, we booed and awesome fucking band the first time we saw them. A few years later we opened for the loved ones at champs in Bridgeview. We sucked that night because we were wasted, but the loved ones were fantastic, as they were, are and always will be.
