I made everything in this tea set for ILD this year with the exception of the chocolates those were made by Vegan treats!

The brain is a chocolate cake that’s covered in fondant to make the brain fissures. The sauce is a raspberry jam with lemon reduction. Oh we bougie! The sandwichs are chicken salad with cheddar and prosciutto with Gouda. The last sandwich is peanut utter with raspberry jam. The cake pops are also chocolate. I had originally wanted to create this set for Halloween but work has been a little insane as far as me working almost every day until 9 pm or longer.

This was a great way to blow off steam. I recently said I would give up drawing so that I could focus on other creative hobbies like baking, food presentation and photography. It’s actually been really helpful for me to get rid of my creative block.

Drawing is something that is mentally difficult because teachers were overly harsh to me about it in 9 years of art school. I’m just really happy I can channel my energy regardless so I’m grateful that it still works out!

I bought my dress through Chinese Lolita updates but changed out the dress buttons. They were originally white but I changed them to red. I’m always in search of some kind of meta hospitality doll sub because I’ve never been tiny enough for that dress to fit me.

This piece is great and I’m going to wear it a lot. I even coorded it with a vinyl jacket and a black necklace which I also love.

The mask is also from creepy yeha as well as Vivienne west wood shoes, hair brooch is from Miss Danger. 🧛🏾‍♀️🩸💉

Shingeki x Cookpad Studio

The other recent collaboration cafe event in Osaka was held by Cookpad Studio. It was held from November 7th through November 30th of 2019. In addition to the collaboration menu you could receive acrylic keychains with each food item ordered.

When making our reservation online we had to order our dishes in advance as well so everything except the drinks we had already decided in advance. We ended up ordering one of everything.

The drinks available were a latte themed to the scene where they visit the ocean, a tea to represent Levi’s tea time with rose syrup in a syringe and a yuzu and lemon jelly squash to represent Annie in her crystal.

I really like how the menu items were well thought out. The boulder from Trost made as a croquet was really creative and the meringue to represent the hardening too. What’s great is that you could actually get the recipes for these since Cookpad was actually created as an app/website to exchange recipes.

Another nice point was the was a video showing of how to make the beast titan tiramisu!

The more I explore urban Gwalior, the more I am pleasantly surprised. 🙂 Today while walking on the Kila Gate road, I stepped into @cafedreamarena and met the co-owner Pramod Sharma who was manning the counter himself. I admire this humility. That's how businesses start happening. While I'm waiting for my share of their Ron's Spring Roll, I can't help but admire their interiors, and also thinking to myself that Gwalior is fast becoming a hub for themed café and restaurant concepts. A cool dining experience at this pop-up themed cafe. I visited this Jurassic World Cafe earlier in November and well.... The food and drinks are not top-notched. It's just about #instagrammable dishes with Singapore skyline view. Its mainly a dining experience to enjoy the ambience of these curated items being put together! . Jurassic World Burger - Its beef patty charcoal burger. Fossil Excavation Cake - Oreo Cheesecake, oreo can't go wrong but the cheesecake is a little too much gelatin and texture isn't that good. Shingeki Cafe at Hirakata Park

There was a time when I thought to myself, “If only I could have the chance to go to an Attack on Titan themed cafe...” Those days are long over.😅 over the past couple of years we have had the chance to eat many versions of that final dinner, to push fluids out of syringes and attempted to conquer titan sized desserts. All while collecting many many character coasters. Hirakata Park of course also had it’s own themed cafe which was announced just before the exhibit opened. (Yes, there are coasters too...)

The food itself is maybe the worst we have had at a themed cafe. The most edible probably would be the massive snack plate which we didn’t order because it was basically mostly fries. At least there were characters on the food which is at least fun for photos.😅

Surprisingly even the “pancakes” (closer to a chiffon cake) were pretty bad. They were a bit dry and some part of the filling had my son making a grossed out face. He told me to try and I politely declined.

The drinks were all fine though! Also you get the coaster design based on the drink which is always nice!✨

One great point of the cafe is that they have the cut outs from the 10th anniversary exhibit so you can take fun photos while you are there!
