Hey, I was wondering why you think Roxy was destined to end up with Eridan? I get the shared wizard interest and the quirk foreshadowing I guess, but that still seems like a large stretch. It's kinda like saying that Equius and Dirk are going to end up together because they both like robots and horses. It's just seems like the sort of character remixing that Hussie uses a lot in Homestuck. But what do you think?

At the end of the day I can't tell you what to ship, nor am I interested in making anyone ship anything, but I'm kind of just saying, the things that make Roxy predisposed to liking Eridan are, like, the biggest parts of her character, and Eridan is very easy & would pretty much say yes to anybody, but Roxy is also definitely His Type and Eridan is a simp who thrives under any sort of positive attention & would do anything someone asked if they were giving him positive feedback. or attention at all. case in point kanaya fucking hates him but at least she talks to him and he's constantly praising the shit out of her

Jane and Jake also have their introductions IMMEDIATELY followed by talking about how they've got a thing for "cobalt" hunks and "cerulean babes" respectively, so setting up roxy with eridan also fits into a pattern of the b2 kids being set up to date a dead troll. still rereading this part of the comic, but it really jumped out to me how blatant it was for jake and jane

Gunman Joe is most likely a hologram and is probably controlled by one of the inventors to stilt the other's progress (and probably not whoever Eggmuffin is, as it appears on top of their building and would probably dissuade Layton and Luke's efforts to connect to Eggmuffin). The voice is probably a voice changer of sorts. I don't think this is the main antagonist though.

Ok... I think what was originally making me feel gloomy about the models is solved after seeing the puzzle solved (heh) animation, and I feel a bit more hopeful. The models we see here only have one form of shading as opposed to the NWOS switch teaser or the puzzle solved animation. This game IS early in development so now that makes sense. I mean it looks bad but I think it'll improve. And if not I'll do it myself. Plus the shading in the switch teaser is purple-hued and the shading in-game that we see here is black, which is USUALLY a sign it's still being tweaked around in the background.

The fact that they're STILL aiming for 2025 makes me worried though... The game definitely needs polishing. Realistically delaying it would've been expected at its current stage, but persisting in a 2025 release gives it about a year and a third. Of course Level 5 is known for delaying things all the time so they could just be like "gomen minasama 2026" but... I feel like if they are persisting in a 2025 release... mm... After all of that, the trailer was nice but a bit worrisome. It's obvious now that they're still in development and it's not the final look though! One thing that comes to mind is the crusty Desmond model we saw wayyyy early on in AL's development;

Like. There's still time. I would be especially surprised if the don't at least add a bit of texturing to some of the models (like the texture-baked shaking in luke's hat or desmond's hair). I'm less pessimistic about the 3d model style now especially with its siblings looking as peak as it is (inazuma eleven, decapolice, etc)

That being said, I can't say much about what I'm hoping for until we see the TGS (did you guys forget about TGS /silly), though if it IS coming out in 2025... I hope to god it's like. December or something. I really don't want this to be rushed and with how it looks right now I wouldn't exactly be happy with it. In fact if there is 2d cutscenes I can totally see them saving it up for TGS too just to have something new and exciting rather than the same information we've already seen. Concluding, things are going smoothly, models are still developmental-looking, and I have mixed feelings but it's slowly bouncing back to positive all because of crusty desmond png

(now leaving shuzo azide for the moment) like if they refuse the guy's advances, for 'petty'/personality/logical/legal reasons, theyre still playing into the coercion rape/adjacent part of what the female characters do generally but obvs also the minors aspect. but if on the contrary or in conjunction with the former, if theyre portrayed as more sensible than they seem as the plot progresses (which on principle isnt necessarily wrong, yk theyre still young and human) then that also plays as an extension of the explicit coercion kind or the one interested on vulnerability from the get-go..

I do sometimes wonder if people here think that if a billionaire dies their wealth disappears or gets redistributed, or if a ceo dies their company suffers a massive blow. But nothing happens, actually. They die and their will is executed, transferring their billions in assets to their family members. Sometimes the state gets a very small percentage in tax revenue, some of which funds services for regular people. The boards of companies find a new person to be ceo and steer the ship of exploitation. Individual rich people dying has 0 effect on anything. The systems are way bigger than that.

i'm sorry and like yes it was bad i don't disagree of tourse ☝ but all the right moves starring nancy the slut wheeler was So cinematic... inspired... slay of the century... the panache. the flair. that steve had asked her the day previous to go to that movie with him and then used that as the framing device and like SURE. tommy was the one who physically painted it but is that the point of it all. that tommy was semi-canonically in love with steve. the reverb on the slap nancy gave him after i think she really fucking hit him for that his hair literally vibrates and he's also like. in semi-tears for all 5 minutes of that scene. It is cinematic quality small town bullying IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SAME they could've just sprayed it on the wall. on the school. on the window even. HAD to be the marquee... also i've joked b4 that steve had to be talked down from using like pigs blood and they had to be like ew no we'll just use red paint c'mon man and steve's like whatever (wanted to be dramatic as possible).. Vettonso like to tease each other in public and private. But Seb mainly only does so in private, and Fernando mainly in public(exhibitionist kink go brr...?) There's not a lot of joy in teasing Fernando in public because he cares so much about his image that he takes it all in stride, and Seb will probably end up coming out of it worse. But teasing him in private? The greatest joy ever. He still tries to retain his stoic image, but in private is when he starts cracking. Seb doesn't have to keep any amount of propierty at all in mind and is free to tease Fernando to his heart's content. Saying and doing whatever comes to mind.

Again, even though Seb is an untraditional emperor in many ways, he still has to retain that lofty, above it all attitude in most formal settings. Both him and Fernando stick to it, but Fernando is a lot better at keeping up that mask(his issue is moreso being able to drop it lol.) It's very fun for Fernando to be able to push Seb, because Seb usually has the upper hand. Seb is just so unabashed in private, like constantly being all over Fernando, saying obscene things, so it's so hard for Fernando to catch him off guard. But while Fernando is generally unflappable in public, Seb is always just barely holding onto the stoic image, just waiting to drop it. So it's so easy for Fernando to catch him unawares just by simply brushing fingers with him, or god forbid, touching a sliver of his bare skin.
