Burr had more kids than Theodosa?

He had four kids with Theodosia, and two stepsons. Unfortunately, only one would outlive him.

His second child, Sarah (nicknamed Sally & named after his sister) was born two years after Theo. Their birthdays (June 21 1783 & June 20 1785) were a day apart from each other, too!

Doctors couldn’t diagnose her so we don’t know exactly what happened to Sally, but she suddenly got very sick a little bit before her 3rd birthday and died in October of that same year.

They also had two sons together, but both were stillborn & unnamed.

In addition to his biological kids, Burr adopted two of Theodosia’s kids from her previous marriage, John Bartow and Augustine J. Frederick. He was very involved in their lives and treated them just like they were his own kids. Theo would die in 1813 & John would also die in 1825, so the only one who outlived Burr was A.J.F.

Angelica meets Theodosia Prevost during the course of the war and is intrigued by the woman: fiercely intelligent, independent, with a power over even the most vexing of men.

It's a very heady summer, full of possibilities.

Oh this one is a treat. Canon-era Angelica/Theodosia with lots of teasing and delightful exploring of bodies and sexualities. There is some side Aaron Burr/Theodosia because Theo is unapologetically bisexual, and Angelica’s saltiness over Burr (in general) is incredible. “Did he tell you all about the size of his trust fund” - Angelica, still salty over him hitting on her a year ago (And just a little jealous) But seriously, one of my fav canon-era writers writing an incredible rarepair of intelligent, boss ladies.

Burr could take cruel swipes at his wife, responding to one of her letters with the acid remark that her note had been 'truly one of the most stupid I had ever the honour to receive from you.'

Ok, now I know why I was so confused about Theodosia's last name. Her maiden name was Bartow, then she married Prevost, then she married Burr. And then came Theodosia Burr, who later married Alston.
