👀 i'm not happy w my current shampoo, can you tell me why you like nexxus therappe and humectress? & what kind of hair you have (short/long, straight/wavy/curly, etc.)?

Here’s my hair!! It’s wavy/curly, long, and it isn’t very thick, but looks fluffier than it is.

Disclaimer I’m not a professional

I have tried switching to other shampoos/conditioners, mostly just because I used the Nexxus stuff for a really long time and I wanted to see if there was something better out there than the shampoo my mom got for me when I was 15. But even after trying to stick it out with other products a few times, I just didn’t like the way my hair felt. If my hair is too dry or too greasy it gets flat. The Nexxus stuff, for me, is a nice balance of “doesn't feel greasy” with “the strands clump nicely together and are light enough/moisturized enough to form curls.” Therappe is not the most gentle shampoo I’ve ever used, but it doesn’t dry out my hair so I'm fine with that. Humectress feels heavier than other conditioners I've used also, but for my hair that's a good thing.

Depending on what you don't like about your current shampoo/conditioner, just using one or the other might help! In my experience it's also pretty easy to find in travel sizes if you just want to try it out (plus, with Therappe, a little goes a very long way).

If you have curly hair, I’m also obsessed with Mielle’s pomegranate and honey leave in conditioner, and Rizo’s curl defining cream. And for products that are not specific to curly hair, I got a jar of Georgiemane’s 10 minute hair mask from a friend and it made my hair actually very shiny (which is unusual) and soft, I love that stuff too. The It's-A-10 leave in hair spray is nice too. My hair in the pic isn’t with any of these, though.

well this is gonna make sounds like gods biggest idiot but I just learned this past month that your dishwasher has a filter that you should clean every couple months, and if you do that, you don't actually have to scrub and rinse every plate and dish unless it's got something burnt/super sticky on there. I've been treating dishwashers like glorified disinfectants my entire life.

so there's that + my go to cleaning tip which is: when you're making dinner, clean as you go! you're already up and in the mood to do stuff, and it makes clean up when you're full and tired soooooo much easier
