Some warm ups I did because I haven’t drawn in weeks.
I like to imagine that Heiji found out about Shinichi’s whole Magical boy gig (because, c’mon, he’s a detective, he’s gonna find out sooner or later) and scolds him when he gets hurt. He only follows Shinichi around just to beat him over the head when Shinichi walks off a twisted ankle or something and Shinichi just accepts it because it’s nice to have company once in a while. (Though he did try to make him go away when he first started trailing after him into labyrinths, but Heiji’s a stubborn ass friend and he will NOT let his best buddy walk home alone injured to an empty house)

Has anyone in this Olympics women's boxing argument ever stopped and thought about whether it would make any sense for women to be more susceptible to being injured in boxing than men? Like sure, it's a fairly common assumption that men are physically stronger than women, and therefore a man would have an advantage at boxing because he can punch harder... But how would that make you more resilient to being punched in the nose? Like I would think the assumed advantage would be that women can't hit as hard and therefore would require more effort to take someone down, but what everyone is arguing over is a woman having her nose broken from a punch to the face, when a man's nose would be just as broken from the same punch. Women don't have like, daintier and weaker facial bones or something. Being punched in the face "by a man" when you're a woman is literally no different than being punched in the face by the same person as a man. If we are to assume that men (note: the person being debated about here isn't a man or even a trans woman, she is cisgender, but I digress) are so Herculean that their punches are just too dangerous for women, then men's boxing should be banned outright because it's just too dangerous for men to be punching each other with that strength when a punch to the face is exactly the same for a man as it is to a woman.

AND the MVs being subjective portrayals of the prisoner's perception intensifies the moral question of Milgram (the prison and the project, in- and out-of-universe). Given total freedom from any particular ruleset (ex. laws), will you forgive someone for the "sins" they believe they have committed? Based only on what they believe of themselves, would you forgive them?
And is that enough for you? What systems are you using to judge whether they're worthy of forgiveness? Yuno asks something like "why should your judgement change if the crime is the same?" in the most recent VD (which i havent listened to i saw somebody post a quote or smth), i think referring to her suspicion that we'll only forgive her for getting an abortion if we believe her to be victimized & forced into compensated dating to survive. Her MV (as far as i understand it so far) is about saying "I chose this life for myself, take that spit-in-the-face to your moral code".
Will we try to judge them based on the crime itself? On their role in it? On the role they think they played? And which of those are fair metrics to judge someone by? Which of those, if any, give us enough information to be fair?
It's a criticism of the legal system, the medical system, and societal rules as a whole. Is there any information that will give you enough to fairly judge whether another person is unforgivable?

I need to get offline for a few hours and do something else lmao I’m getting to the point where I’m unable to look away from shit that’s upsetting me and ultimately arguing on tumblr dot com is not really going to help much. I’ll still pop in to boost campaigns and such but I will be trying to avoid arguing politics for the rest of today and tomorrow bc 1) I can just do shit irl that has way more impact than arguing with people who will never change their mind towards caring about anyone but themselves and 2) this sort of thing is the exact reason I started making myself take hiatuses lol I do not need to push myself to that point. healthy doses of engagement and discussion, not obsessive and borderline doomscrolling. Anyway!! Like I said I’ll still be posting about Palestine and whatever else whenever I come back online but I’m gonna try and cut myself off before the ‘political associated health spiral’ begins
