We are told by Jesus to preach.
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

And whoever has good soil- will take the good news and believes will want to be baptized.
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16:16 NKJV
We have to walk with wisdom and knowledge. Being read to give a good answer to unbelievers— a good seed is planted with a confidence.
“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.”
Colossians 4:5 NKJV
“redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:16 NKJV
How we treat the worthy people
“And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.”
Luke 10:6 NKJV
““Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.”
Matthew 10:11 NKJV
These people will be able to teach also :)
“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
II Timothy 2:2 NKJV
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
II Timothy 2:15 NKJV
Point to Jesus
“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.”
John 5:39 NKJV
And His saving word.
“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21 NKJV
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” I Peter 2:9 NKJV
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”
I Peter 3:15 NKJV
What happens with good soil :
“But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.””
Mark 4:20 NKJV
“And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.” Acts 11:21 NKJV
“Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead),”
Galatians 1:1 NKJV
“Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.”
Galatians 1:1-11 NKJV

TRUE WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING ARE FOUND IN GOD 1
"AND this is what he says to all humanity: 'THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS TRUE WISDOM; TO FORSAKE EVIL IS REAL UNDERSTANDING."
Job 28:28 (NLT)
• Wisdom is found in God, and only those who fear Him would have it.
- God gives wisdom to those who love Him.
- If you love God you will reverentially fear Him. Whoever you love, you reverence.
- God will reveal Himself to those who reverentially fear Him, His secret would be made known to them: "THE SECRET OF THE LORD IS WITH THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, AND HE WILL SHOW THEM HIS COVENANT (Psalm 25:14 NKJV).
- Someone who lives in Rebellion, though claimed to be a Believer, would not have any access to the secret of the Kingdom.
- Doing God's Will, obeying His commands or instructions would give you an access to His wisdom and other secrets of the Kingdom which ordinarily would not have been made known to you.
- Submission and obedience to God's instructions give you wisdom. When you obeyed God, the results you have would show that you had gotten wisdom.
- You know a wise person through what he or she does with what they had. The resources channel through you, what you do with them, shows the quality or greatness of your wisdom.
• The second part of our text says to forsake evil is real understanding.
- Someone who engages not in evil is a person of great understanding. If you shut your eyes to the enticements to do wrong or evil you are a man or woman of wisdom and understanding (Daniel 1:8).
- An evil is the general term of sin. Thus, to forsake sin is real understanding. Sin is a bait which Satan uses to lure the believers away from God's protection.
- The understanding of whoever lives in sins is always blurred and darkened. Someone who lives in sins cannot see clearly. The eyes of understanding of such is shut.
- It is the Holy Spirit Who opens the eyes of understanding of whoever is of God. Such is shown the wondrous things of God's Kingdom.
- The eyes of understanding of a believer is enlightened by prayers through the help of the Holy Spirit.
- Thus, If someone's eyes of understanding, the mind, is covered or veiled by the devil, It would be difficult for him or her to receive whatever God has for them:
3 "BUT EVEN IF OUR GOSPEL IS VEILED, IT IS VEILED TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING, 4 WHOSE MINDS THE god OF THIS AGE HAS BLINDED, WHO DO NOT BELIEVE, LEST THE LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL OF THE GLORY OF CHRIST, WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD, SHOULD SHINE ON THEM" (2 Corinthians 4:3,4 NKJV).
- A person whose mind is veiled would not see things As he or she supposed to. Sin is used to cover the mind and prevent the truth from being made known to the person who engages in it. Such is kept in darkness and bondage.
- A mind that is not renewed and submitted to the Holy Spirit would not access—step into or set foot in—whatever God through the Holy Spirit, wanted to be made known to a believer.
• Since the mind is not regenerated at the new birth, It remains dirty, thus, a renewal process is needed which could be termed as the saving of the soul or mind: "THEREFORE LAY ASIDE ALL FILTHINESS AND OVERFLOW OF WICKEDNESS, AND RECEIVE WITH MEEKNESS THE IMPLANTED WORD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SAVE YOUR SOUL" (James 1:21 NKJV).
- The soul which comprises of; will, mind, and emotion, is saved through the Word of God. This saving of soul is also referred to as renewing of mind in the Book of Romans 12:2.
- The Greek word translated soul in James 1:21 is psychē. It means breath, or a sentient being. This also is used for animal's souls. But here in the passage, It was being referred to as human nature.
- The process of the renewing or saving of the soul or mind would be in two stages:
A. Your human nature, or your soul which comprises of Will, mind and emotion had to be saved, or renewed.
Separated from the flesh; lustfulness or sinful passions, through mortification.
B. After the first part is done, you had to submit the soul or mind to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
TO BE CONTINUED
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- If there is sickness in your body as you read this piece, I declare your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
Whatever is against your health and wellness is rebuked and uprooted totally in Jesus' mighty name.
Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing now in Jesus' name.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

Greetings in the matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (D) – The Preparation Necessary To Withstand Trials And Temptations!
Rhema Word: James 1:21-22 (NKJV) “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Let us pray. Our Gracious Loving Father, thank You for giving us an opportunity to meditate Your Word today along with Your children who have been called to live a holy life, Father. I commit everyone who are all meditating this message into Your mighty hand Father. Bless them and give them the oneness of Spirit and make their heart as a good land to receive each Word which is living and active Father. Thank You Holy Spirit for helping us to understand the in-depth treasure of Your Word and helping us to live a life as per Your Word Lord. We give all the Glory and Honour to You only Father. We pray in the mighty Name of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
Introduction: To Whom Written: “To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations.” It was written to Christians of the dispersion (diaspora). The word dispersion simply means to the Jews scattered around the world.
Purpose: James had two purposes for writing:
(i) To correct a corrupted faith that was rapidly seeping into the church. Many were professing faith in Christ but living immoral and unrighteous lives. Their faith was profession only – a faith of license with little or no restraint upon behaviour.
(ii) To present the true faith of Christ: A faith of the heart – a faith that produces outward fruit. James’ point is very simple: a person is known to be a Christian only by his behaviour. What he does prove one of two things: it proves he is a Christian or it proves he is not a Christian.
Special Features of Epistle James:
(i) James is “A General or Catholic Epistle”. That is, it is not written to a specific church or individual, but rather, it is written to all Christian believers. James is written particularly to all Jewish converts.
(ii) James is “The Epistle of the Royal Law”. That is, it is the epistle stressing the necessity for loving one’s neighbour as oneself. The law of Moses is called the law that gives freedom (James 2:8-12).
(iii) James is “The Epistle of Sermon Notes.” The characteristics of the Jewish and Greek sermons of that day are found throughout James. The epistle seems to be a collection of sermon notes centered around the theme of trials and temptations.
(iv) James is “The Epistle of Practical Living” or “The Epistle of the Second Stage.” Its concern is the life of the believer after he has become a Christian and has been assured of his salvation. The thrust is Christian growth.
We have been meditating James in following Six Divisions since last few weeks:
DIVISION 01 – Temptations And Trials: The Basic Facts!
DIVISION 02 – Temptations And Trials: Common To All Christian Believers!
DIVISION 03 – Temptations And Trials: Common To All, But Especially Teachers!
DIVISION 04 – Temptations And Trials: Triumphantly Overcome!
DIVISION 05 – Temptations And Trials: Common to All, But Especially The Gifted!
DIVISION 06 – Temptations And Trials: Combated Step By Step!
We have been meditating “DIVISION 01 – Temptations And Trials: The Basic Facts! under the following topics since last three weeks.
JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (A) – The Essential Attitude to Trials And Temptations!
JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (B) – The Way to Conquer Trials And Temptations!
JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (C) – The Origin of Trials And Temptations!
JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (D) – The Preparation Necessary To Withstand Trials And Temptations!
Let us try to meditate the Fourth topic in Division 01 - DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (D) – The Preparation Necessary To Withstand Trials And Temptations! today on the following, with the help of our Holy Spirit:
Introduction: Where does temptation come from? Sometimes the desire and craving for things upon the earth are almost unbearable. We see something and we know that it is wrong, that we should not have it or do it, but the desire and craving become so strong that we can hardly stand it. The craving may be for things such as having one’s own way; doing one’s own thing; food; immoral sex; possessions; recognition or authority; alcohol; cigarettes; pornography; clothes; and position or advancement.
This is what temptation is: the desire and craving for wrong things, things that God forbids and that are harmful to our human bodies and spirits. No matter what it is – even if man justifies and says that it is acceptable – it is sin if God says that it is wrong and if it harms our bodies and spirits. Therefore, when we feel an urge or craving for such things, we are being tempted, and the temptation is to be fled from.
Now, where does temptation come from? Take any of the things mentioned above, why do we desire and crave them? What causes the urge for them? Knowing the origin of temptation will help us tremendously in conquering the trials and temptations of life.
(01) Preparation 01: Be Quick to Hear The Word of God:
(02) Preparation 02: Be A Doer of the Word And Not a Listener Only:
(03) Preparation 03: Control The Tongue:
(04) Preparation 04: Visit The Needy And Keep Yourself From Being Polluted By the World:
(01) Preparation 01: Be Quick to Hear The Word of God:
The Bible says in James 1:19-21 “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.”
Preparation One – Be quick to hear the Word of God. The thrust of these three verses is seen in v.21: receiving the Word so that a person’s soul will be saved. The greatest temptation in the world is for a person to walk through life doing what he wants and pleases, and thereby ignoring, neglecting, and rejecting God. The result is death (James 1:15). Therefore, if a person is to be saved – if he is to be delivered from the great temptation that will doom his soul – he must prepare himself. He must be quick to hear the Word of God. He must make sure that he hears the Word of God. How can a person make sure that he hears the Word of God? How can a person make sure that he can receive the Word and save his soul? This passage says that he has to do five things:
(i) He must be slow to speak. This means that a person must be willing to listen instead of speaking his own ideas about right and wrong and about how a person is saved. He must sit and listen instead of hanging on to his own ideas; he must be willing to listen to God’s Word instead of insisting upon what he thinks.
(ii) He must be slow to wrath or anger. This means at least two things:
=> A person must not react against what God says about temptation and sin nor about what God says about salvation. If a person reacts against God’s plan of salvation and follows his own plan, he is dooming himself. No person can ever be saved or conquer temptation if he reacts in anger against God’s Word of salvation and righteousness.
=> A person must not become angry and act against others in wrath. Anger and wrath disturb and distract. Anger and wrath disturb and distract. An angry person cannot focus his thoughts and spirit upon God’s Word, not enough to hear what the Word is saying. An angry person just cannot do what God says, he cannot live righteously nor receive the righteousness of God’s salvation (v.20).
(iii) He must put aside all filthiness. the picture is that of taking off a dirty garment and putting it aside. A person must put off every dirty garment and putting it aside. A person must put off every dirty thing and lay it off to the side away from himself. If he enjoys the dirt and filth, then his mind is going to be on it. His mind will not be clear, not enough to hear the Word of God. The Greek word for “filth” (ruparia) is taken from the Greek word “rupos”. This word is sometimes used to refer to wax in the ear. The picture is descriptive: a person with wax in the ear cannot hear the Word of God, not clearly. Therefore, he must take the wax out of his ear and put it away or else he will be deaf to the Word of God.
(iv) He must put aside all that remains of evil. The idea is this: even after putting aside all moral filthiness, there will still be some evil that will show up within us. Therefore, we must be alert to these uprisings and put them off and lay them aside as well. We must be completely clean and pure from all dirt and evil in order to hear the Word of God.
(v) We must receive the Word of God with humility. We must be as a child before God our Father, that is, sit before Him humbly just as a child does his father. The idea is that we must be humble, gentle, quiet, and attentive in listening to the Word of God. We must sit and listen with an open heart ready to hear exactly what our Father says.
The person who sits before God like this discovers a most wonderful thing. Note the word “planted” (emphuton). It means to implant; to be born within. When a person listens and hears the Word of God, it is planted within his heart and life. What God says is actually born within his heart, and the man hears exactly what God says. The Word of God is born within his heart and life and the person’s soul is saved. He conquers and triumphs over all temptation, including the terrible temptation of rejecting God and doing his own thing and living like he wants. He is saved to live eternally with God. This is the first preparation that a person must make to withstand temptation: he must be quick to hear the Word of God.
The Bible says in Matthew 13:16,23; Luke 8:15;10:39; Acts 2:41; 17:11 “But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear.” … “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” … “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.” … “And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.” … “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” … “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”
Apostle Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 2:13 “For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.”
The Bible further says in Proverbs 15:31; 18:15; Ecclesiastes 5:1; James 1:19 “The ear that hears the rebukes of life will abide among the wise.” … “The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” … “Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.” … “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.”
(02) Preparation 02: Be A Doer of the Word And Not a Listener Only:
The Bible says in James 1:22-25 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
Preparation Two – Do the Word of God; do not be a hearer only. Contrary to what most people think, it is not enough to hear and know the Word of God; we must live and to the Word of God. Note three significant points:
(i) The person who only hears and knows the Word deceives himself. If a person thinks that he can hear and learn the Word of God and then go out and live like he wants, he deceives himself.
Lesson: There are many who sit under the Word of God week after week, and they learn and know as much of the Word as anyone. They think that their listening and learning makes them acceptable to God, that is make them safe and secure. When they slip into sin, they feel that they can ask God for forgiveness and that He will forgive them. They just feel that God would never reject them. But note something, the most critical fact: God does not accept us because we hear and know the Word nor because we confess our sins. Each of these are necessary and very important, but they are not enough.
=> God accepts us because we confess and repent. Repentance means that we turn away from our sins and turn to God. God accepts us because we turn to Him live for Him. When we believe God – really believe Him – then it is that we trust and follow Him, doing exactly what He says.
(ii) The person who only hears and knows the Word soon forgets what he has heard. If a person does not practice what he learns, it soon fades from memory. It is just forgotten, and it never becomes a part of the person’s life. He is like the person who looks in a mirror to see if he needs to do anything to his appearance, then walks away and thinks of something else and forgets the pimple or rustled hair that needed to be cared for.
Lesson: How much like what happens so often. We hear the Word and are convicted of some defect, some shortcoming, some failure that we need to clean up. But as soon as we walk out from under the Word, we are distracted by the world and its affairs, and we soon forget to do what the Word of God told us to do.
(iii) The person who hears and does the Word of God is blessed. Note that the Word of God is called the perfect law that gives freedom. This means that the Word of God will set a person free from the bondages of sin and death. The Word of God will free a person from all the temptations of this life and give him the full and victorious life for which his soul longs – a life that will continue on and on eternally with God.
A person who does and lives the Word of God will find that he is freed from all that enslaves his soul upon earth. He will discover love, joy, and peace – a soul that just soars with a sense of freedom and liberty; purpose and meaning; security and safety; victory over temptation; joy and rejoicing; assurance and confidence; life over death; and deliverance from sin.
The Word of God is the law that gives freedom, the law that sets a man free to know and fellowship with God forever and ever. But note a critical point: we must continue in the Word of God. We must continue to live just like it says. If we do, then we shall be blessed, made abundantly and eternally happy.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:21; 12:50; Luke 6:46-49; John 3:17 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” … “For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” … “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” … “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
The Bible says in Romans 2:13; James 1:22; 1 John 2:17; Revelation 22:14 “For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified.” … “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” … “And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” … “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city.”
(03) Preparation 03: Control The Tongue:
The Bible says in James 1:26 “If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.”
Preparation Three – Control the tongue; keep a right reign on the tongue. If a person thinks that he is religious, that is, acceptable to God, and he does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself. No matter what he thinks or professes, his religion is empty. And note: the word religious (threskos) and religion (threskeia) describes a person who is very religious, who gives great attention to religion. The person is actively religious, very faithful in his religious worship and service. But he is loose with his tongue…
=> interrupting and dominating the conversation;
=> being easily provoke and lashing out at others;
=> gossiping and telling tales;
=> criticizing and murmuring;
=> judging and condemning others;
=> using slang and cursing; and
=> talking about and running down others.
As stated, no matter what a person thinks – no matter how religious he is – if he does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself. His religion is empty. He does not please God and is thereby unacceptable to God. For a person to withstand and to conquer temptation, he must control his tongue. This is the third preparation necessary to conquer tempations.
Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 4:31; Titus 3:1-2 “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.” … “Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.”
Apostle James says in James 1:26; 3:6; 4:11 “If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.” … “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” … “Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.”
The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:1; 3:10; Psalms 34:13; Proverbs 13:3; 21:23 “Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking.” … “For “He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.” … “Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.” … “He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.” … “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.”
(04) Preparation 04: Visit The Needy And Keep Yourself From Being Polluted By the World:
The Bible says in James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
Preparation Four – Practice pure religion, visit the needy, and keep yourselves from being polluted by the world. Two things are said to be necessary in this preparation:
(i) A person must visit the orphans and widows in their affliction. This certainly would apply to visiting all who have need within a community, those who are orphaned; widowed; shut-in; newcomers; lost or unsaved; bedridden; lonely; grieve; and fatherless or motherless.
Whatever the need, God expects us to visit them. He expects us to reach all within our community, and the task is not really all that difficult, not in a country where a church is in practically every community. Just think of a church within a community being surrounded by rows of houses. The minister and the members can easily visit every home by simply setting up several visitation hours and simply going house to house. As they go all they must do is share that they are visiting for Christ and the church to see if they can be of any help to the family. Letting the community know that one really cares will cause many to call upon the believers of the church when the hour of crisis strikes, and it will strike, for it strikes us all. In addition to this, every church should, of course, have a corps of genuine believers who can share Christ with the lost. Now note what the verse 27 says: “ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:12-14; 20:28; 25:34-39; 28:19-20 “And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.” … “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” … “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’” … “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ further said in Luke 9:4-5; Mark 16:15 “Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” … “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The Bible further says in James 5:14; 1 Peter 4:9; Romans 15:1; Galatians 6:2; Hebrews 13:3 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” … “Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.” … “We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” … “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” … “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.”
(ii) A person must keep himself from being polluted by the world. Pure religion does not become corrupted with false beliefs or with false religion. It holds to the purity of the gospel and to the Word of God. Pure religion does not focus upon form and ritual and ceremony. It focuses upon the power of God to change lives eternally and it reaches out to change people’s lives by visiting them.
Pure religion does not become morally corrupt; it does not become entangled with the affairs and pleasures of this world. True religion stirs people to separate themselves from the things of this world that arouse their fleshly desires and cravings. True believers of true religion keep themselves unspotted from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh (sinful nature), and the pride of life, the boasting of what he has and does. This is a necessary preparation if a person is to conquer the temptations and sins of this world.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:8; John 15:19 “ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” … “If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
Apostle Paul says in Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 7:31; 2 Corinthians 6:17-18; 2 Thessalonians 3:6; 1 Timothy 1:5; 2 Timothy 2:4; Ephesians 5:11 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” … “And those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.” … “Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” … “But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us.” … “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.” … “No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” … “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them.”
The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 2:15-16; Isaiah 52:11 “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart.” … “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” … “Depart! Depart! Go out from there, Touch no unclean thing; Go out from the midst of her, Be clean, You who bear the vessels of the Lord.”
Let us introspect ourselves.
Shall we submit ourselves to be slow to speak and willing to listen to God’s Word instead of insisting upon speaking what we think?
Shall we submit ourselves to be slow to wrath or anger as we can ever be saved or conquer temptation if we react in anger against God’s Word of salvation and righteousness?
Shall we put aside all filthiness and take off dirty garment and putting it aside to hear the Word of God?
Shall we put aside all that remains of evil that may show up within us and be completely clean and pure to hear the Word of God?
Shall we submit ourselves to receive the Word of God with humility and listen with an open heart ready to hear exactly what our Father in heaven says?
Shall we submit ourselves to do the Word of God, because if we do not live as per Word of God, we will be deceiving ourselves?
Shall we understand the fact that when we do and live the Word of God, we will be freed from all that enslave our souls upon earth and discover love, joy, and peace?
Shall we understand the fact that when we do and live the Word of God, our souls will soar with a sense of freedom and liberty; purpose and meaning; security and safety; victory over temptation; joy and rejoicing; assurance and confidence; life over death; and deliverance from sin?
Shall we submit ourselves to control our tongues to withstand and to conquer temptations besides being acceptable to God?
Shall we submit ourselves to practice pure religion, visit the needy, and keep ourselves from being polluted by the world?
Let us Pray: Our Heavenly Gracious Father, we thank You for helping us to understand about “JAMES: DIVISION 01 – Temptations & Trials: The Basic Facts - Part (D) – The Preparation Necessary To Withstand Trials And Temptations”, today, Father. Please help us to submit ourselves to be slow to speak and willing to listen to God’s Word instead of insisting upon speaking what we think, to be slow to wrath or anger as we can ever be saved or conquer temptation if we react in anger against God’s Word of salvation and righteousness, Father. Father, please help us to put aside all filthiness and take off dirty garment and putting it aside to hear the Word of God, to put aside all that remains of evil that may show up within us and be completely clean and pure to hear the Word of God, Father. Please help us to submit ourselves to receive the Word of God with humility and listen with an open heart ready to hear exactly what our Father in heaven says, to submit ourselves to do the Word of God, because if we do not live as per Word of God, we will be deceiving ourselves, Father. We thank You Father for making us to understand the fact that when we do and live the Word of God, we will be freed from all that enslave our souls upon earth and discover love, joy, and peace besides our souls will soar with a sense of freedom and liberty; purpose and meaning; security and safety; victory over temptation; joy and rejoicing; assurance and confidence; life over death; and deliverance from sin, Father. Father, we submit ourselves to control our tongues to withstand and to conquer temptations besides being acceptable to You and submit ourselves to practice pure religion, visit the needy, and keep ourselves from being polluted by the world, Father. We thank You Father for filling us with Your joy, peace, and hope, for accepting us when we approach You through Your beloved Son Jesus Christ besides being merciful on us and loving us so much and predestined us to receive Your promise of glory through Your beloved Son Jesus Christ, Father. We give all praise, glory, and honour to Your Holy Name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
God bless you all.

Be a Doer of the Word

”Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. ——- Let no one say when he [or she] is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he [or she] is drawn away by his [or her] OWN desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.“
James 1:12-15 NKJV
”Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.“
James 1:16-18 NKJV
”So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.“
James 1:19-20 NKJV
”Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.“
James 1:21-25 NKJV
”If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.“
James 1:26-27 NKJV

THE POWER TO LIVE ABOVE SIN 3
12 THEREFORE DO NOT LET SIN REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL BODY, THAT YOU SHOULD OBEY IT IN ITS LUSTS.
13 AND DO NOT PRESENT YOUR MEMBERS AS INSTRUMENTS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS TO SIN, BUT PRESENT YOURSELVES TO GOD AS BEING ALIVE FROM THE DEAD, AND YOUR MEMBERS AS INSTRUMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TO GOD. 14 FOR SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU, for you are not under law but under grace."
Romans 6:12–14 (NKJV)
II. The Human's soul or mind.
- At new birth the human spirit of whoever acknowledges Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord becomes a new creation—as said in the previous part of this teaching—but the soul and the body are not, they remain unchanged (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 12:1,2).
- The human soul also has three functional aspects: the mind, the emotion, and the will.
a. The mind is where the thoughts are formed or made.
b. In the emotion; we have affection, love, happiness, sadness, anger, and others.
c. The will is where the decisions are made—where you determine to do or not to do whatever is thought of in the mind.
- The Will is so strong and powerful; even if the mind thought of a thing, and the emotion is enthusiastic about it, If the Will does not approve it, It would not be done or carried out.
WHAT is just shared here is the way which or how the human soul functions.
- Thus, a believer has the responsibility to work on his or her soul, that It might be made submissive to the regenerated human spirit—the inward Man.
• The soul or mind had to be saved or renewed, and this is done through the knowledge of the Word of God: "THEREFORE LAY ASIDE ALL FILTHINESS AND OVERFLOW OF WICKEDNESS, AND RECEIVE WITH MEEKNESS THE IMPLANTED WORD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SAVE YOUR SOULS" (James 1:21 NKJV).
"AND DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND [soul], THAT YOU MAY PROVE WHAT IS THAT GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD."
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
- The transformation of a believer essentially takes place in the soul or mind (Romans 12:2). Failure to do it would be detrimental to your relationship and communion with God.
- As you begin to hear the Word of God; read it, study it, and meditate or ponder on it, your thinking would begin to change, and your perspectives about life generally would begin to change and be aligned with that of God—the Word of God, the Bible—and you begin to see things in God's point of view.
- When this started happening, your attitude and behaviour, response and reaction, to things will begin to change positively.
- The change of character in you would be noticeable to the people around you. Those who have known you before, they would know something good has happened to you.
- Note: the points mentioned here is the problem with the present day believers. A number of people who claimed to be born-again are not Christlike in their characters at all. Some believers are just like unbelievers who had not heard the gospel at all—they are not different from the unbelievers in Character. In fact, some so-called believers are worse than the unbelievers.
• If you did not give place to the Word of God for the washing or renewing of your soul or mind, the transformation that would effect a change of character in you would not take place or happen.
- If you claimed to be born-again but did not give attention to the feeding on the Word of God, for transformation; you may not experience any change in your thought life, through which your character would be changed (Hebrews 5:12).
- You cannot but be behaving like the unbelievers because your mind, which is still dirty or polluted or reprobative—morally corrupt or depraved—has not been saved or renewed (Romans 1:28; 1 Corinthians 3:1-3).
- It takes your deliberate effort and your cooperation with the Holy Spirit to get your mind transformed through the Word of God (Romans 12:2; James 1:21). The opportunity for the change or transformation of the mind would be made available for you severally, by the Holy Spirit, but He would not force you to do it.
• The ball is in your court.
- You may be hearing the Word of God and decided not to do anything with it.
Hearing the Word of, reading and studying it, is not enough, you take a step further to put what you heard or read to work in your life. You had to practice the Word! You live your daily life by the principles found in the Bible.
- The doing or practicing of the Word might be challenging or difficult, but the outcome would be Christlike character:
22 BUT BE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 BUT HE WHO LOOKS INTO THE PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY AND CONTINUES IN IT, AND IS NOT A FORGETFUL HEARER BUT A DOER OF THE WORK, THIS ONE WILL BE BLESSED IN WHAT HE DOES (James 1:22–25 NKJV).
- Note: the doing or practicing of the Word, the Bible, might provoke persecution, but it worth it: "YES, AND ALL WHO DESIRE TO LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS WILL SUFFER PERSECUTION."
2 Timothy 3:12 (NKJV)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked and rooted out completely in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The hold is totally broken and never to rise or be formed again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
TO BE CONTINUED
Peace!

“If we read the Bible, it will function as a mirror. It confronts us with our sins and weaknesses and shows us who we are. That can be painful, but it is also healing. For once we see how desperate our situation is, we may confess our sins to God. He is very willing to forgive. That’s why David sings: “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” (Psalm 139:23-24)

Saints&Reading: Thu., Feb. 4, 2021
Commemorated on January 22_by the New calendar
The Holy Disciple Timothy (+ 96)

The Holy Disciple Timothy was from the Lycaonian city of Lystra in Asia Minor. Saint Timothy was converted to Christ in the year 52 by the holy Apostle Paul (+ c. 67, Comm. 29 June). When the Apostle Paul and Barnabas first visited the Lycaonian cities, the Apostle Paul at Lystra healed one crippled from birth; many of the inhabitants there then believed in Christ, and among them was the future youthful disciple Timothy, his mother Eunice and grandmother Loida (Lois) (Acts 14: 6-12; 2 Tim. 1: 5). The seed of faith, planted in the soul of Saint Timothy by the Apostle Paul, brought forth abundant fruit. He became a zealous student of the Apostle Paul, and later his constant companion and co-worker in the preaching of the Gospel. The Apostle Paul loved Saint Timothy and in his Epistles called him his beloved son, with gratitude remembering his devotion and fidelity. He wrote to Timothy: "Thou hast followed me in teaching, in life, in disposition, faith, magnanimity, love, and patience in afflictions and sufferings..." (2 Tim. 3: 10-11). The Apostle Paul in the year 65 ordained Saint Timothy as bishop of the Ephesus Church, which the saint administered for 15 years. And finally the holy Apostle Paul, situated in prison and knowing, that the act of martyrdom was before him, summoned his faithful student and friend, the Disciple Timothy, for a last farewell (2 Tim. 4: 9).
Saint Timothy ended his life as a martyr. At Ephesus the pagans made a feastday in honour of their idols and they carried them through the city, accompanied by impious ceremonies and songs. The holy Bishop Timothy, zealous for the glory of God, attempted to halt the procession and reason with the spiritually blind idol-worshipping people, by preaching the true faith in Christ. The pagans dashed angrily upon the holy disciple, they beat him, dragged him along the ground, and finally, they stoned him. The holy Disciple Timothy's death by martyrdom occurred in the year 80. In the IV Century the holy relics of the Disciple Timothy were transferred to Constantinople and placed in the church of the Holy Apostles. Holy Church venerates Saint Timothy as amongst the number of the Seventy Disciples.

James 1:19-27
19So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Mark 10:17-27
17Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"18So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.19You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and your mother.'20And he answered and said to Him, "Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth."21Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."22But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.23Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!"24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.26And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then can be saved?"27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."
