I think if you really want to make Theresis interesting to me, you need to get into the history of the Kazdel Civil War a bit more than Arknights currently has and really dive into his motivations and relationships with others. We get a bit in the text, but Arknights is suffering from the "follow a shitton of plotlines all at once so every installment in any given storyline takes forever and keeping it all straight is a pain" problem again with Theresis. I think there's something there, but we just need a little more.

Wack ass Doctor (and some things) theories, that I made when bored, in Arknights which is either plausible or just straight up ridiculous and impossible (and this is mostly Doctor because why not)

Disclaimer: this is (mostly) humor. U can explore the theories if you want but this is mostly humor purposes, while some are taken seriously:

1. That Doctor is like Fu Hua from Honkai, living in thousands of fking years, due to some sort or experimentation, from the Old World to now Terra, and their extremism from pre-amnesia is due to wanting to, idk, maybe a mission or want to see it all end?

2. Doctor is one of the deity, and one of the deity or gods in the game would recognize them in a future event.

3. There may be civilization beyond the undiscovred Barrenlands, just covered by some sorta barrier or we just too afraid of the eldritch horrors in Barrenland to go explore.

4. The Doctor works for Theresis but ended up betraying him, which costed them their memories (this is too impossible but I just wanna say this because why not)

5. The voice in Phantom's head telling him that he'll find answers in Rhodes Island is the Priestess as if to guide him to Doctor, and yes I am aware the reason was because he saw Shalem and followed him to Rhodes Island but I remeberee the voice thing and hilariously thought "lmao imagine if thats the Priestess telling him " lol go there and meet Doctor, theyre trustworthy" and it explains their interaction"

6. Doctor to Phantom is mostly like Christine to Erik in POTO as a reference to their relationship and interaction, although one instance during IS2, Doctor became Raoul as Phantom became Christine (of the scene where they rescued him)

7. Doctor's memories are probably sealed elsewhere and there's a specific word or memory for the Doctor to remember to fully unseal it

8. Silverash may or may have heard of pre-amnesia Doctor back in his Victorian era or maybe research

9. I explained it in previous post, but Troupe Master giving Phantom Oripathy for tragedy arts purposes

10. Doctor got some weird ass charisma or danger kink because a lot of (potentially) dangerous people is either into him or adores them and they somehow tamed (/j) them lmao

11. Rhodes Island base is some sorta Eldritch horror, like why is there a fking spine in the menu option

12. Doctor is probably not the only brain power but also potentially brawn as well but that got sealed off with their memories

13. Doctor is not the only living "human" in Terra.

14. The Doctor and Priestess are outlanders from the other universe that somehow landed on Terra?

I might add more but here are the wack ass theories i had
