Sure!! How about I write some Podcaast headcanons and include his relationships with the other kids? (I admit some of these are recycled ideas from my dead RP blog, but here we go:

He’s the one who came up with the name “Summerville Squad” and keeps calling him and his friends that even if hardly anyone else does. He’s trying to make fetch happen.

His parents had strict upbringings, they didn’t want to raise Podcast the same way, so they gave him a lot more freedom. Unfortunately this also means they’re a bit neglectful. 

His real name is Corbin Song. He’s embarrassed by it because Corbin means crow and “no one wants to hear a crow sing.” Phoebe likes it, though.

He knew Lucky before the events of the movies and she defended him from bullies when they were younger. Ghostbusting brought them closer together.

He hangs out with Trevor sometimes to play music (Podcast on keys and Trevor on guitar, they are trying to convince the girls to start a band) or playing Grand Theft Auto (they wasted plenty of time looking for Bigfoot in San Andreas).

Favourite food is shrimp tacos, or shrimp in general.

LOVES ska music.

The flying drone trap was his idea and his design. He sent Phoebe the plans by email while he was still in Oklahoma and she was able to build it in the Firehouse.

He is lowkey jealous of the others since he’s the only one who hasn’t been possessed, cursed, or mind controlled in any way. He KNOWS that would be a bad thing but he’s curious about how it feels and doesn’t like being the odd one out.

As an adult, he has a tattoo sleeves depicting various ghosts and demons the Ghostbusters have faced.

Also Adri if you still haven’t seen Afterlife then YOU NEED TO DO THAT RIGHT NOW! 💥

BRO BRO BRO THIS CANDY AMGST IS SOOO GOOD. like I thought this type of angst was far to specific to ever talk about but now impulse is giving us what we want! I wanted to ask if you would be okay with me drawing your design for candy impulse? It was such a vivid image in my head! Who else might have been turned? Botem? Iskall and etho? Cause I wanna draw these horrid candy people...

You absolutely can :D! I’m cool with anyone drawing from anything I’ve posted, I will simply Cry

Firstly, I wanna explain that originally, I was thinking of the infection as a sort of a magical curse sent to Impulse by the person claiming to be Wonka, but as I wrote and leaned into more body horror, I started going with it being more of a parasite that nestles in its host and feeds off their body

(If you’ve ever seen the game Bugsnax, that’s kind of the vibe I’m going for now)

If I ever sat down and tried to fully write something out, I’d probably branch out into full fledged au territory and have Impulse find the original “rock candy” in an infected geode he mistakes for a normal amethyst one, just generally cutting out the Willy Wonka angle entirely

As for who would get infected, I’m using this map from the wiki as a frame of reference

Who gets infected is pretty reliant on who interacts with Impulse:

• Boatem (and by extension Doc)

Just all of Boatem Village, they’re like ground zero, they’re infected basically from the get go. Doc is also close by and would probably get infected too (Ren is an exception thanks to his recent mechanical parts. He’s still adjusting to eating food in general, let alone stuff like candy).

• Tango (and by extension Keralis and Bdubs)

Tango is Impulse’s good friend and probably one of the first people he calls to test out his new confections. As a result, Tango probably brought some back for Bdubs and Keralis (If you want to get extra spicy, imagine if Pass n Gas started selling Impulse’s products >:3).

• Wels (and by extension everyone else in the YWC)

What better little gift to give the YWC members than some free candy :) (This includes Cub and xB, the other members have already been mentioned above).

I don’t have any specific ideas for how any other hermits could potentially get infected so that’s the general list for now
