omg hi. sorry i disappeared for a few days, been super busy with school. i missed you a lot. how have you been?

we have talked a few times and im sorry for this but you are the most accepting and easiest person to talk to honestly i dont have many people in my life i can tell anything real to. but the thing is ive been thinging about relapsing a lot more since i broke up with my boyfriend and i work with him so it makes work depressing and impossible to get through a day without crying sorry this is anon but i am scared ily dont hate me i am not trying to stress you out

ok wow first lemme just say: I DO NOT HATE U. EVER.

and don’t be srry i don’t have a lotta ppl irl i can tell my shit to so i get it. pls know u can always ALWAYS ALWAYS come to me, and u dont gotta be scared to come off anon. i get it and it’s ok if u prefer it that way- but pls know i dont keep it on alot bc i get hate and then i turn it off bc i gotta look out for myself and dont post all the hate bc i dont wanna bring yall down or give them the satisfaction of knowing i have given it a read and response. so u can message me or make a sideblog or idk im just saying this so if it’s off later u dont blame yrself or feel scared to come off anon. ok sorelapse is a real thing and it’s fucked and hard and addiction is fucked up and a real life struggle and we dont treat addicts w the real tenderness, respect, kindness, and acceptance they deserve. but u DO deserve it. and there are hotlines, apps, churches, groups, chatrooms/boards, and sites that are more versed in what are the appropriate things to say to u- i say this bc while i’ve been thru it w loved ones i have not myself struggled w addiction w substances. my addictions were to self harm and victimhood so those are the things i searched for help on. but if it’s alright i’d like to give u some tips or things i used and have heard work for addicts of substances

places like i said like churches, groups, chatrooms, sites, apps, hotlines the apps and hotlines are good if u cant travel or want to talk to ppl who wont share their story bc maybe u cant hear it like its not the kinda help ur looking for. hotlines are sometimes tricky bc some of those folks are not educated they are volunteers so judgment leaks thru and in that case u ask to be redirected and report that volunteer so hopefully they dont repeat that kinda mess to other vulnerable folks looking for help

make a list of things, anything. list of foods u like to order, list of things that make u clench yr teeth, what were yr fave gifts you’ve ever got, style icons of urs, hobbies u tried that annoyed u, movies u can always watch, places on yr skin u hate being touched, any list of anything it doesnt have to be the usual thing of “what to live for” bc when yr depressed those kinds of things arent easy to think of. but if u get a list going of like “best things ive ever touched” “sounds that make me laugh” “trends that were stupid af” “popular things that i didnt like n couldnt figure out why they were popular” “weirdest ppl ive met” well those things might get u on a roll of good memories or laughing or seeing that theres more to yr life than what has been occupying yr thoughts

dancing. dance in yr room in the dark. clear some space. put on some headphones. lock yr door. do it in the shower. just dance. i had to start w closing my eyes and picking songs that i was taken by emotionally. songs that made me jump and slamdance tbh and then it’s just gotten more and more something im not as ashamed w. i spent a date night w james just dancing and then we ya know ya know bc the dancing got so wild. now i make playlists of songs that set moods for diff kinds of dancing

watch shows w ppl who arent doing better than u. they dont live in fancy places, they dont do much w their lives, they dont dress better than u, they struggle, they arent eating good food u dont have access to. iasip. freaks and geeks. letterkenny. undeclared. jake and amir. tpb. the state. youtube. tiktok/vine comps. lots of these kinds of vibes on youtube

podcasts. improv comedy podcasts tbh saved my life. comedy bang! bang! has best of’s those are good ones to start w. improv4humans bc matt besser has great guests of some of the best improvisers out there and he has musical guests and they’ll play a song and the improvisers will use it as inspo for a scene

make things. moodboards. pinterest. playlists. fill a shopping cart and tell yrself “i’ll get it when i win the lotto and move away from anyone who knows me so i can be the me i wanna be w/out judgement” make tea. make a meal if u can. make yr bed. clean one thing. clean the sink. hang some clothes or go thru yr drawers and clean them out. throwing things out feels hard at first but then it’s nice bc u feel less bogged down

find something to throw yr obsession at for a bit. something that wont hurt u as bad, being obsessed in general isnt good. everything in moderation irl. too much of something is bad just as much as too less of it can be bad. but yr looking for something lower risk here and if u gotta be obsessed w a celeb or a song or a food that’s ok. yr focusing the energy on something that isnt a substance so be proud of it

give yrself a break. give yrself some credit. everyday isnt gonna be on the “best of your name here’s days” but sometimes u just live to live bc that’s what u do. u wait it out and get thru it and wait for the sun to come back out. and if u cant get outta bed. or if you hate yr job and wanna scream- that’s normal it’s more normal than always being happy ppl just dont like talking abt bc society kinda trains us to hide our fucked upness idk why but thats how it is. they dont wanna tell us to do preventative care until we’re in the pits

all in all- it comes down to (at least for me) not planning w an endgoal in mind. it’s not over til it’s over and rlly we dont know. it’s all fluctuating and not meant to be a finish line we cross and then suddenly we’re done and we dont suffer anymore and the feeling of shit is gone or the risk of relapse is gone and the depression is cleared away never to be seen again. it’s not realistic. bc it isnt real. on the real- risk is always there and the downs and ups mix and run together and depression is not curable (this isnt something to be miserable over tho) depression isnt curable, yeah ok, but it is manageable. it can be quieted down from time to time and if u keep up w yr healthy routines and coping mechanisms- depression will still find its way to u bc the real world is not something u can manage. death in the family, loss of money or job, car breaking down, sickness outta nowhere, depression grows wild when these very real life stressors come into our lives. but all that too eventually gets easier and easier at least from a “ok i have some distance now” standpoint. and then as those days get more and more btwn it u can then be like “oh wow, ive made it thru X amount of days! ive put up w it this long! whats one more day, whats one more week, hell might as well see how much prouder i can feel once ive got a year under my belt!” plus u will be more capable of handling the bullshit if u know u can still find some safe places in yr coping skills or friends or resources.

ok so this is prob a mess but bottomline know this:

I love you and i will be here the best i can should u ever wanna come spill or if u need me to just send u pics of my dog or boring pics of knickknacks or selfies or memes or links or anything just tell me what u need and i will try my best to show u my love. i hope u can see that u reaching out is just already a HUGE major step in the right direction, give yrself credit! thats amazing! yr already doing it pumpkin look at u! it’s hard ik. but i also know if u are capable of saying u have this problem going on, u are capable of getting thru this. u are a light in the world. u offer goodness and u offer yrself and that’s enough. even if yr fucked up right now- u are contributing to the world by simply being u. there is literally NO ONE ELSE WHO IS YOU. so u are unique by definition. i hope u get something from this post and if not i hope it strikes an idea or thing u can do that will help. i hope u know im here and i hope u see this.

okay, y’all, i’ve gotta back on my tl;dr bullshit soapbox about something:

so, the other day, i was just mindlessly scrolling through my corporate & capitalist hellscape facebook™️ (i.e. LinkedIn) and came across this totally trite mostly bullshit meme that was shared by some corporate executive search man (whose name i decided to crop out bc eh):

so i obviously agree with the last three points on this list, bc god yes my life would’ve been a bit better if I didn’t get all my dialogue about mental health only from teen mags and horrible portrayals in teen tv shows (and also this hellsite). and hell yeah everyone, and I mean EVERYONE needs to learn that failure is okay many situations (like failing a class in uni or school) bc everyone fails at something sometimes. and dealing with failure is HARD. and time management is something that I’m pretty sure everyone lies to fuckin hell about on their resume, bc lots of people really suck at it, myself included. so yeah. that needs to be taught. and i also agree with the “how to manage your health” point. bc thats becoming ever more prevalent and important with career burn out etc.

but entrepreneurship? people management? conflict resolution? creativity? how to manage money? public speaking? like y’all. three of those ARE taught/learned in school, who the fuck wrote this meme?

for anyone who actually paid attention in maths class, (which is probably very few people outside of the top performing classes), there WAS A WHOLE FUCKING UNIT that focuses on financial maths (in australia anyway). I ignored this unit as well as maths in general at school, bc I generally hated maths and was convinced that I was somehow never going to get a job. but i remember the gist of the overall topic and its subtopics. one subtopic teaches you how to calculate your wages in various contexts (overtime, double-time and a half, holiday payments, im pretty sure maternity leave pay was jammed in somewhere? idk if other countries would have double time & a 1/2 like australia though). another subtopic teaches you how to calculate interest on bank loans and credit rates on credit cards. a third subtopic teaches you how to calculate savings (obvs in terms of discounts in shops)....im sure there was a bit about budgeting in there somewhere? im pretty sure there were some questions were about tax payments somewhere as a subtopic enrichment exercise? but you get my gist. are these not money management skills? in some sense? like if i could find one of my old maths textbooks or old maths books i’d give an example of a question, to make my point stronger. but the problem, like i said before, is that a load of people (myself included) just zone out in maths in high school and stop trying with it. they forget what they’ve learnt, and just remember how much they hated algebra and how they’ll never use it again. maths was one hell of a fucking strong bitch, guys. but maybe i’m wrong.

creativity? excuse me? have people forgotten about art classes? drama classes? english classes? music classes? need i go on? okay don’t get me wrong, most of these classes did focus a lot on memorising quotes or facts about people (artists/writers/poets/composers/dramatists etc) or specific periods/movements in art or theatre or literature for example.... but the amazing sculptures/paintings etc people created in art for their final projects in year 12, or even in year 10 were works of their imagination. the scripts people write in drama or maybe english (if you had a fun teacher who did a screenwriting unit, for example) are creative asf. especially in year 12 when they do their major projects, where they may produce a monologue or a short movie, and then there’s a group piece. drama students might even make their own costumes for these performances. LIKE AIN’T THAT A LOT OF CREATIVITY RIGHT THERE Y’ALL????? and english. lowly old english. THEY HAVE A WHOLE FUCKING TOPIC ON CREATIVE WRITING FOR FUCKS SAKE. the original music people might create for their final projects too in year 12? does that not count as creativity? like yes, i know a lot of these things do still have to meet bs assessment criteria (especially in catholic schools, where the main things are you don’t offend the catholic education office and jesus/god lmao) to be considered worthy of a mark for your year 12 exams. but FUCK. HOW THE FUCK AREN’T ANY OF THESE SUBJECTS COUNTED TOWARDS BEING CREATIVE???????? like fuck your corporate creative ideation or w/e bullshit, Callum. drama and english even lend themselves to improvisation in some instances, like public speaking, which is examined further, below.

next, we move on to public speaking. this shit is basically taught from the first goddamn day of “show & tell” in kindy/kindergarten, and this fucker has the gall to say that it’s not fucking taught in schools? someone call in miley cyrus/hannah montana to throw the fuck down in this motherfucking hoedown BC THIS STUPID-ASS MEME-FUCKER HAS NERVE. i hated public speaking. absolutely hated it. even though it was ironically one of the places i ended up excelling in in english classes. even when i fucked up in my english speeches with like “oh, fuck.... said nelson mandela, i’ve seem to’ve lost my palm card. wait, shit! there it is... excuse me while i pull it out of my ass. whoops, sorry miss” *bats eyes and finger guns at my year 9 english teacher who has her head in her hands and is done with my shit, while the class laughs at my gaffe* i’d still end up with like 73% or like 26/30. it was baffling. but for people who weren’t the class clown/smart alec like i was from years 7-10 (and like i actually wasn’t once i moved schools).... public speaking is like the leading cause of anxiety, right? like by the time i got to doing speeches/presentations at uni i was having panic attacks... the thought of presenting to my classes made me fucking sick with fear and anxiety. nearly every subject i did at uni (even when i tried to avoid subs with public speaking assessments) and throughout school had some type of presentation/speech whatever you want to call it project/activity in it. even fucking SPORT/PDHPE at school and even philosophy at uni. and these fuckers are saying its not taught in schools. FUCK OFF. like yeah, i get that they actually mean it in the professional sense.... where people can give the sappy bs motivational speeches or an insightful ted-talk worthy 20-minute presentation... or a great sales pitch. but like??? save that for mike “my dad phoned in to EY and i have a job waiting for me after uni” mcfuck in a business major or law degree? or for clubs like toastmasters? fuck. ok enough of the skills we learn in school. let’s move onto the businesslike-sounding ones of “people management”, “conflict management” and fucking “entrepreneurship”. like. what the fuck? okay in some sense people management and conflict management could potentially be used in managing friendships and relationships in your personal life. but like. i can feel the business underpinnings and i dont like it lmao. like why do you want fully functioning adults straight out of school, franklin? and there’s extra credit conflict management subjects at uni??? or at least my home uni had it... and i never did them bc they were intensive courses during summer break lol. but the one that pissed me off the most was entrepreneurship. LIKE ARE KIDS NOT FUCKING ALLOWED TO BE KIDS NOW????? well apparently: “NO! YOU MUST ALWAYS THINK OF MONEY MAKING WAYS TO BE RICH! YOU MUST BE ENTREPRENEURIAL!!!!!! YOU MUST GENERATE BUSINESS IDEAS FROM THE TIME YOU CAN FUCKIN’ WALK!!!!! AND SPEAK!!! CHILDHOOD AND BEING A TEENAGER DON’T EXIST WORKER BEE!!!! CAPITALISM FOR ALL!!!! WORKER BEES!!! CAPITALISM IS YOUR FRIEND!!! OWN A BUSINESS BY THE TIME YOU’RE 8 YEARS OLD!” like it’s insidious asf. and it doesn’t acknowledge that most entrepreneurs are already privileged people anyway, who usually have some type of money to start off their venture (or that’s what it feels like anyway). and yeah throw all the “THIS BOY IS AN ENTREPRENEUR AT 18!!! 18!!!???? BY STARTING HIS OWN BUSINESS AT 12!!!! WHAT A CHAMP! 😁🙃” clickbait news stories at me, but i don’t fucking care. the concept and perceived over-importance and almost preaching mindset of entrepreneurship is slowly becoming insidious and toxic asf. call me paranoid. but that’s what it feels like.

but with those last three topics, i want to make a point that school curriculum’s (in australia at least, and probably worldwide) are so jam-packed already with sport (which is pointless and shitty), geography (ok how to read maps is important, but i never bothered to learned to do it properly), history, science, english etc etc etc..... that like.... where the actual fuck are the gonna jam the above bs (people management”, “conflict management” and entrepreneurship) into the curriculum???? and also teachers are already over-worked enough as it is, they don’t need another load of shitty subjects pushed onto them. and they sure asf don’t earn enough (especially in the states) to have this bs pushed into their subject schedules either. keep them at uni, where they should be. or just in the workplace/in the general public where they belong. and if people suggest that you could probably push these subjects into the year 11/12 business studies programs or elective commerce courses in years 9/10, save your goddamn breath. like i remember looking at business studies hsc papers in years 11/12 to see what they did.... and it was pretty chock-a-block anyway. and my experience of my year 9 commerce was horrible, to say the least. let kids be kids, for fucks sake. they shouldn’t have to be fully functioning adults in the workplace, by the end of high school, for fucks sake. AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS NOT AN ESSENTIAL SKILL????!!!! her mother ran off when she was quite young, she can barely remember her face but her uncle says that her mother ran off to study in the U.S since she had her when she was 19 and her brother when she was 16

when she was about 7 years old her grandma had moved to the U.S permanently so she was raised just by her uncle who eventually moved her and her older brother cesar to new york when she was 10 years old

they lived in jackson heights since there was a lot of argentines there

up until she was like 13 she could only speak spanish but her uncle made sure that she studied and did her homework and he made sure that she spoke english to her brother and all her friends and only spoke spanish to him and her grandma

as she got older, around the age of 10-15 he had to work a lot more and she relied on her older brother more often

she used to follow cesar around and played soccer on the streets and followed after his friends

she was a “tomboy” and often referred to herself as a boy as well

but she also loved cooking with her grandma and said she was a girl whenever she was cooking

her brother used to tease her but she always responded that she can be both a girl and a boy n he never really argued with her

soccer was something she genuinely loved and she was also always good at math since it was the same when she was at school in argentina

n she missed argentina a lot so playing soccer in the streets with her brother reminded her of playing soccer in the streets in rosario

*shooting tw, death tw: when she was about seventeen, she was being walked home by her brother from school, they had gotten caught in a crossfire of a drive by shooting

her brother had pushed her to the ground to protect her and had gotten shot in the process and eventually died of his wounds

she was really broken from his death n felt like she didnt know who she was since she lost a huge part of herself

she fell into a deep depression n never really properly grieved his death

she lots someone who protected her and her uncle was still away for work

she pushed her grandma away and secluded herself from everyone else n she even deferred her first year of university

she felt like her brother and uncle abandoned her and she wanted to rebel so her uncle would come back

she wanted him to visit her n stay n look after her

she started going out to parties and skipping church which shocked her deeply religious, catholic grandmother

she was getting high, neglecting football and sleeping around

there were days where she didnt come home at all n eventually her grandma told her uncle who ended up moving back in to deal with her

he understood what she was doing n he promised that he wasnt going anywhere as long as she got her life back on track

but they still found it hard to address the fact she was depressed n would go days just staying in bed sleeping

both her grandma and uncle didnt want to admit that she had depression

she struggled with it throughout her university years on top of the burden of studying as well as not dealing with her brothers death

SUICIDE TW** she did try to take her life when she was 22 coming up to the anniversary of her brothers death but her uncle found her n rushed her to the hospital

from that day he tried to educate himself on depression n was always looking at different ways for her to cope n even took her to a psychologist

he put all his attention on her mental and physical health n was always worried about keeping her alone

which is why he was slightly hesitant but still overall supportive abt her going to curacao. he did suggest that he come with her smh so that they’d go to argentina at the end of the trip to visit her dad

but yeah thats all i have for her

This time including the squad as DnD characters, Liz facts, Noelle getting her yaoi education, and more

I’ve only played Dungeons & Dragons once (1) in my life so I’m no expert! I’d consider my thoughts suggestions (like with my takes on the charaters’ MBTI types, which I’m not an expert of either):

Noelle as a Wizard sounds right, since she definitely can’t do anything reliant on physical strength. She would be an asshole and attempt things like building a Clone Army

AKARSHA THE BARD. Rogue sounds too cool for her

Diya: I actually want to say she’s a Ranger because the Wiki on 5th edition says “The Beast Master archetype forges a connection between civilization and beasts, allowing the character to interact with animals in certain ways including gaining an animal companion to control.“ Fighter and Knight also sound plausible though!

Min: Barbarian with high Strength and no Intelligence and Wisdom

I don’t want to say too much because I want to save things for the sequel, but here’s some stuff:

She actually played against Diya in youth leagues before she transitioned. That’s why she recognizes Diya+specifically approached her to sign the baseball club form while Diya doesn’t recognize her. At the first club meeting Liz tells her “I was at one of your games when you were little” -- This is purposefully ambiguous/misleading (sounds like Liz was just watching) because she passes and doesn’t want to out herself to a bunch of club members she doesn’t know well

After transitioning she quit baseball and switched to softball. It was weird being the one trans girl on a team of cis dudes, and additionally when she was younger she sort of felt like she had to prove she was a girl; she naturally has feminine taste, but she’d overperform it by 25%. It wasn’t until she got close to Chryssa and found out she also liked baseball that she reclaimed her interest in it

She has a nice resting face so strangers tend to ask her for directions

Akarsha was reading some yaoi so it came up in conversation, and since Noelle had never heard of it Akarsha gleefully educated her (to Noelle’s horror). Noelle was extremely scandalized that Akarsha kept sending her inappropriate images, and Akarsha was like “i’m doing this out of the kindness of my heart! it’s for ur education!! me: Master Teacher. call me sensei”

Following this Akarsha changed her chat name to YAOI SEME as seen at the beginning of the game

Akarsha: She constantly makes weed jokes but actually only does it rarely

Min-seo: Korean way, but most characters like Diya pronounce it like Min-so, with the “Min” rhyming with “win” (not like “mean”). The “so” is one syllable (not like “see oh”)

I was planning on making the sprites blink! I’m still a bit sad I didn’t end up doing it

It’s supposed to be fall 2008 when they’re in high school, but I took a LOT of artistic liberties when it came to the references. For example, Akarsha makes a Durarara reference even though the anime didn’t come out until 2010, and there’s a lot of modern memes that ended up in there too...I couldn’t hold back...

The IGF trailer video is especially modern-day meme-wise -- since it broke the 4th wall, it was like, all bets are off. Don’t think too hard about it!

I wanted to put a lot of 90s and early 00s hits in the game for the nostalgia factor, like Complicated, Rock Your Body, Dilemma, etc. I think it would’ve made the experience even more surreal for players who are around my age!

yep! it's made in renpy! I actually started out in twine -- twine is impossible if your game is like longer than an hour and is image heavy. the engine started lagging so bad it would take 30 secs to do anything

LOL it's hard..it's a lot of money. I don't think I would

(but you could use that money to save many more lives! utilitarianism)

11. Any tips on how to balance schoolwork and working on personal projects?

hmm...i honestly sucked at this and could only work on it on breaks lol...if you can try to work it into your school projects, like some bit of it...

other than that i cant think of anything LOL it's hard

12. How did you organize yourself making such a long game? Any tips?

it was SUPER hard to organize, i was really lost until i split it into 4 sections with each character. so if you're planning on making a game this big definitely think about forcing yourself into sections like that

the art was the most confusing to do bc of how many assets there were. i was going to say "have consistent naming conventions" but that's literally impossible LOL it'll always become inconsistent no matter how hard u try

13. What part of the game took the longest (writing? art?)

writing, actually, despite how much i complain about art assets. it's really hard making sure the structure and themes come across correctly. like pacing is so hard. art is like #2 biggest time sink

14. How early in did you write the Akarsha/Min skateboard scene?

that came pretty late haha i put it in at last second

15. Are the characters based on real people?

they're all inspired by combinations of ppl i know! i wouldn't say based on them, tho. for example min is like a combination of 3 friends i have, strategically arranged to play her part in the story

character design is design so u still gotta be deliberate about it

16. Who’s the other cat on the computer? (they’re referring to the cat on my desktop wallpaper)

that one's maru! he's a famous japaense cat. he's super photogenic

17. What was your favorite aspect of working on the game?

definitely getting to put specific Asian-American experiences into it

i was like HAHOH i can do this and no one can stop me! it was really fun getting to do this without any creative direction from like, a studio or anything. so i could just go bonkers. i hate pitching stuff so

18. Any writing advice?

definitely have other people beta your writing as soon as possible! they always catch stuff you missed. also this is like a cheat, make your characters really extreme. like find one aspect of yourself, and turn it up to 11 and make it into a character. that way they'll be relatable and memorable at the same time. i think most people don't make their characters extreme enough so they're all kinda samey

ive been screaming about this fic ever since it started. it’s a fantastic, well written, hilarious, GUT WRENCHING masterpiece with all the fun things that makes a fake dating fic a joy to read + 10000 more incredible things. i have laughed out loud reading this fic. i have shed real fucking tears reading this fic. i nearly threw my phone out the window of a moving car, one memorable moment. please. just. if on the off chance you havent read this fic yet, please do. it’s a long, lovely journey that’s wonderfully written with fantastic characterization and chapters that have u clawing for MORE. im tryna stay vague about describing this fic bc i f i went into detail, this post would be too long.

Jeremy loves jazz, but really, really, really can't play it. After a disastrous recital, he swears off jazz forever and gives up his dreams of performing to major in music education... until a fateful scheduling issue forces him into a jazz and improv class. There he meets Michael Mell, an insufferably cool bassist who doesn't know how talented he really is. Together, they have the potential to create something incredible. That is, if they can get along for even half a second.

okay so it takes A Lot for me to get into a WIP but holy SHIT im fucking obsessed with this fic!!!! it is exactly what is says on the cover and so much more. this fic is PHENOMENAL. i know nothing about music, but the way it’s written makes me not just understand whats going on but feel just how charged that scene is too. I DIDNT KNOW DUETS/QUARTETS COULD HAVE THIS MUCH FUCKING TENSION, BUT THIS FIC DOES IT, and i dont even know what any of the technical shit means!! just. it’s execution is done so so well, im fucking floored. like. this entire fic is very well written, but the music scenes are dripping with skill. if im not making sense, i guess youll just have to read the fic to get what im talking about //eyes emoji

another thing among Many Things that knocks it out of the ballpark in this fic is the characterization. jeremy. oh god, jeremy. i wont spoil, but this version of jeremy is by far one of the most interesting interpretations ive ever seen and it’s pulled off fantastically. our boy has a lot more bite in this fic and i love it. it’s so good. god. everybody in this fic is so good. god. looks like you’ll have to read the fic to get what im talking about //eyes emoji but more intense

JUST!! READ THIS FIC!! START FOLLOWING THIS FIC!!! it’s got Pining and Slowburn and Misunderstandings and some of The Most engaging scenes ive read in a long time. this whole fic is so clever and so crisp and each update has me fucking screaming.

OHHHH gosh this. this fic is so good?? it’s like the ideal fluff imo??? like, it’s not all Perfect and happy but that little conflict that happens just kinda emphasizes how these boys can always work to make things Better and Happy and it just warms my heart lots. the pov here is so lovely to read because it’s michael “hearteyes” mell and it’s Beautiful. the jokes r in this fic are hilarious and land so well. this is such a prime feel-good fic i Love It Lots.

i HONESTLY do not have words to either praise this in the way it deserves to be praised which seems to be a mcfcuking trademark for emma’s writing hksjfdshh. but god. this fic is a breathtaking read with fantastic imagery and beautiful overarching metaphor hhhh!!! the emotions are so clear and!!! //aggressive gesturing!! just read it!!!!

AAAAGGGHHH GOD THIS FIC WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. this fic does not shy away from so many issues and consequences that happen post-musical, and reading it hurts so much at times but it all comes together and it’s ridiculously satisfying. this fic is super well rounded cuz it’s got so much and it’s all done AMAZINGLY?? characterization and writing are INCREDIBLE here. the humor in this fic is so well done i was clutching my sides wheezing at times. and overall, just watching jeremy go through everything +++ being in love with TWO people is such a ride. such a fantastic ride.

THIS FIC HURTS BUT GOD, IT’S SO DONE WELL. multipov with phenomenal characterizations for every character, this fic is a heartbreaking peek into tiny tragedies. the scenes in this fic are simple yet brutal and yet so undeniably real and human. this fic is beautifully written, and if you can handle unrequited feelings pain, you definitely need to fucking read this.

statistically, most people don't take more than five seconds to say something to their soulmate after realizing the universe has paired them together. brooke and chloe take approximately six years, but better late than never, right?

soulmate au!! this fic quite literally one of the most gorgeous pieces ive ever read. the writing is incredible and the imagery is so vivid at the soulmate universe, something im not usually a fan of, is turned into an incredible setting for a riveting love story. the character povs are incredible and every emotion is conveyed so well. sometimes too well bc hjhksdfhshh pain but really, this fic is a masterpiece, jesus. JESUS!!

5. western pt. iii

if ya wanna know a little more about that legend

this is based on mon's little scenario

of farm life

also bc my brain wouldn't shut up and so i've decided to write it down in hopes that it will learn to CHILL AND LET IT GO

honestly this isn't necessary to read i just needed this out of my system ahahah

once upon a time

that little ghost town where Changkyun grew up in

used to be full of people and possibilities

the town had just opened and it was green everywhere

the lake was full of fish

and there were gold bits at the bottom which would often join the nets of the fishermen

the town was prospering and many rich folks from around were ready to invest for its development

however the town was still "under construction" so not a lot of businesses

let alone institutions were around

so one day, a little miss veronica decided to travel to this exciting and bustling little town

to open up a little school

to teach local children and educate them

so they would be ready when the town opened.

THESE CHILDREN WERE GOING TO BE THE FUTURE!!!

so miss veronica was settling in well

she liked the children (let's hope the children liked her back)

and the people in the town were generally nice

except the people in the upper class

aka the rich folks who throw in their money to build this town

which was nice of them but UGH THEY LACKED MANNERS

ESPECIALLY THE FAMILY WHO OWNED THE ENTIRE TOWN

THEY WERE THE RUDEST!!

and that family had an heir of course

and he was going to inherit the entire town and all the money once his father dies

yes

the son was the worst

let's call him.....

ok so

back to miss veronica and her happy little school bc

in front of her little happy school

there was a little stall

where a local farmer would sell his harvest

he sold things like uhm !!?!?!?

onions ?!?!

and potatoes

oH AND PEACHES

THE SWEETEST PEACHES IN ALL THE REGION

and little miss veronica liked the peaches

(and she really liked the farmer)

ok so everyday after classes

she would small talk with the (charming and super adorable) little farmer

and she would buy the peaches

and then go home and make

peach ... pies ?!?!?

peach... jam!!!

ok so one day

it rained a lot and miss veronica noticed that there was a leak in the roof of her happy little school

poor little mary lou was getting raindrops on her text book

and WE CAN'T HAVE THAT IN MISS VERONICA'S CLASS

and so after class that day she didn't go to buy peaches

she stayed in her little school to fix the roof herself

bC SHE'S A STRONG INDEPENDANT WOMAN WHO DOESN'T NEED ANYBODY TO HELP FIX HER PROBLEMS

...

but the farmer was a kind gentleman who saw what she was doing from across his stall

and so offered to help

bc let's be real... miss veronica wasn't good with tools

so he ended up fixing the roof instead, while she happily ate peaches and watched him work

that was a good day

and as a sign of appreciation of his hard work

she offered him a jar of sweet peach jam

(let's hope the farmer wasn't allergic to peaches)

which he gladly accepted considering the peaches were actually from his own harvest

oh hah.. hah.. hah...

anyways, to miss veronica's surprise he offered to fix the windows in the classrooms too since he noticed how difficult they were to close

if they could be closed at all

and they were heading towards the colder seasons soon

so iT WAS IMPORTANT THAT THEY COULD CLOSE

and so miss veronica happily accepted and promised to bake him an entire pie once he finished the task

and so from then on

after classes

the farmer would come by to fix the windows of her happy little school

while she kept him company and spoke about anything and everything

and life was good

until

kris walked in

.... yay?

bc he wanted to take her out on a date

why???

i dont know either

maybe he had heard about her peach jam that she had been sharing with everyone eXCEPT THE RICH

THEY COULD BUY A JAR!

and so kris asked if she wanted to go on a picnic with him

and try out his new motor boat (what ?!?! an engine on your boat so it can sail faster !?!? that's so cool!!!??! the future sounds LIT!!!) that his dad bought

along with the lake

i know. an entire lake !!?!? so extra

like... why did kris' dad even buy the lake?

"the gold!" kris replies, "all the gold bits. my dad is collecting them now and in years they'll be worth mILLIONSSS!!"

oh right

anyways miss veronica just smiled and said "no thanks" to his offer because....

she was busy and also didn't want to ew

and kris was like ?!??!?!

"ok but... im rich!"

she nodded, yes she knew that . but it wasn't a valid reason for why she should go on a picnic with him

"oK... BUT!" he says and steps closer making her feel a little uneasy bc he's so tall. how could he even fit in her little school?!?

"but no one ever says NO to me."

spoiled brat

i know

so she looks him straight in the eye and says...

"i believe that i just did."

and so he storms out all pissy bc he didn't get what he wanted

ok good bye mr. wu

so now it all goes downhill from here right

kudos to you if you're still reading this

so since kris basically owns the town

he's forbidden ANYONE TO COME TO CLASSES

saying that what miss veronica was teaching wasn't true and that she was uhm... i dk ?? crazy maybe?!?!

so basically everyone is convinced bc oh! kris has money! he must know whats up!

and so all the parents stopped their children from going to that school

and some even went as far as to vandalising the building

breaking the windows and the desks and the chairs

oH AND THE BLACK BOARD T T

and so her happy little school became an empty and broken one

and this made miss veronica very sad bc

this was everything she worked so hard for

and now it was reduced to nothing

and as she tried to clean up the classroom

she ended up crying instead

then she realized that she didn't have to clean up

what's the use?

the entire town hated her anyway

she could just leave this place and start over

just pack her bags and go

but then

the farmer showed up

shocked to see what had happened

and she just felt so guilty

all the work he did on the windows

was just destroyed in a matter of seconds

and all she could do was apologize

and she promised that she would still give him that pie

but instead of saying anything

he gently wiped away her tears, pulled her close to him

and she felt safe

like everything was going to be okay after all

and in the moment she looked at him

and leaned in to kiss him

to her relief he kissed back

and her heart felt so full she was going to lshgfKJHL

ok but i promised downhill from here

right

bc kris saw them

kissing in the classroom

and in a fit of anger he marched up to the local sherif

and pressed charges on the farmer

the next day

although miss veronica knew that her school was still a mess

she walked out of her house with a smile on her lips

that is until she saw...

her school

on fire

yup ok so kris and a few of his buddies decided to set the school on fire

bc why not

i told you that kris was terrible

so in tears yet again

veronica ran up to the local sheriff to report kris and his gross friends

FOR AN ACTUAL CRIME

VANDALISM RIGHT!?!

but the sheriff just laughed at her

also he smelled like whiskey

"are you drunk!??!" she asked horrified

"i always get drunk before a hanging..." he replied, obviously intoxicated

!??!?!? WHO'S GETTING HANGED BITCH ?!?!?

"that little farm boy of yours." he continued, still smug and still very drunk "i heard he kissed you last night."

"iT'S NOT AGAINST THE LAW!!" ASKDGLakjl-

"Well someone (cough cough we all know who) pressed charges last night (and paid a great deal of money for it to happen sooo).

"You're being punished." he had to add

"If that's how it is I'm the one who should be hanged." She insisted, close to tears yet again, "Because I kissed him first."

"You're not the one he pressed charges against." the sherif added, stepping closer, "But since you're so generous with your kisses, you should give me one too ."

AND FOR THAT COMMENT SHE SLAPPED HIM

YES SHE WAS PISSED

BUT ALSO SHE PANICKED

HOW COULD THE GUY IN CHARGE FOR LAW AND ORDER ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN

and then she ran out of there to warn the farmer

in hopes that he was still alright

she didn't know where to go

she didn't know where his stupid farm was

but she knew that he had a boat

a boat that he sailed on every day to get to their town

so she rushed over by the lake

hoping that he was there

aND HE WASSS OH THANK GOODNESS

AND SHE RAN UP TO HIM IN PANIC TELLING HIM TO GET AWAY FROM HERE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE

BUT HE WAS BEING REALLY STUBBORN AND DIDNT REALLY WANT TO LEAVE

BUT SHE WAS REALLY AKFGALkDA

AND SHE PRACTICALLY PUSHED HIM ON THAT BOAT AND TOLD HIM TO GO AND NOT COME BACK EVER

ofc it was hard to say good bye like that

for one she didn't want to say good bye to him at all

but if that's what it took

oh wait i can do more downhill actually

ok so as he's rowing away

as fast as he can

remember kris' stupid motor boat?

yes ok so kris gets on board that and manages to catch up

to him

mAKING VERONICA PANIC AGAIN AND LIKE SHE'S READY TO JUMP INTO THAT WATER AND SWIM OVER THERE BUT

then she hears a gunshot

she sees the farmer topple over

and into the lake

legend says that it hasn't rained a single drop since that day

who was really being punished here then?

a few days later

little miss veronica marched into the sheriffs office

wearing a red dress and a lipstick to match

at first he barely recognizes her and is a little confused to see her

"you stil want that kiss, sheriff?" she asked

walking over to him

planting a kiss on his cheek

before shooting him in the head

because if her kisses brought death, she might as well give it to the ones who deserved it

she's been called many names since then

but the one that stuck was Blood Red Ronnie

for she would kiss her victims with the reddest lipstick

before shooting them

and robbing them off their fortune

the only one who's managed to survive her robberies

was kris

but that's bc she still refused to kiss him after all these years

and she would much rather have him poor and desperate for his money than dead

in fact years later, he managed to finally catch up with her

he found her sitting in the middle of the current dried up lake

where her dear farmer had died years back

kris was aiming his rifle at her

demanding her that she tell him where she hid

his father's gold

the gold from the bottom of the lake

which was already now worth miLLIONSSSS

she just laughed at him

"you and your children will dig for the next fifty years. but you will never find it."

and then a dessert snake appeared, one of those colorful but venomous ones

and kris started aiming at the snake instead because it was gross and dangerous and ew

but veronica calmly reached out for it and let it bite her

she then looked at kris and said: "start digging."
