Sure the story heavily inspired by the anarchy, in a book with the over arching theme of women being screwed over because they're women has no deeper meaning.

Let's forget that the author writes one side far more sympathetic compared to the one note mustache twirling villians (which is why most of them are popular) or how it's her breast that's cut to arouse sunfyre or how this all leads to targaryen women losing more and more rights but that means nothing all.

The dragons dying out after the dance and magic disappearing (which Idgaf how you feel about dragons or magic this is a bad thing) till dragons and magic are reborn via a female targaryen hatching the first dragons in over a century, who since the first book has had prophetic dreams of defeating the true evil but fuck all that right it's clearly just about who your favorite war criminal is.

knowing about armand chopping nicki's hands off really cemented how i view him turning daniel at the end of s2. like yes it's referred to as an act of "spite" and i think that's true but as with violently removing nicki's ability to play the violin (an activity he lives for) armand turning daniel is just the worst thing he can think to do to him at the time, worse even than death, since daniel explicitly refused the loneliness and grief of immortality in favour of dying a mortal death with parkinson's disease. so armand turns him, condemns him to immortality, and it's a very specific kind of "fuck you"

and i think it's funny that armand thought it'd be like nicki. that he could do the worst thing he could think of because louis left him just like lestat. but in turning daniel he compromises a 500-year-held principle and, also, all fledgelings are forever connected to their makers.

so, idk. it's simultaneously a very calculated act of cruelty, and an impulsive action that leaves armand intimately connected to daniel for as long as they're both alive. armand is losing the idgaf war so hard

Ageswap Yoshioka and Dimple shenanigans. World's most ineffective devil on the shoulder and God's indifferentest attention-craving kiddo. Beware of the long text below.

Dimple just spawned into existance a week before the narrative start of the story (so Reigen's start of second year middle school) and he has no idea who he is, what the hell he's doing or what the hell he can do but he's sure of his goal of becoming a God.

Yoshioka just happened to be one Dimple's victims in his first ever possession spree, where he went around possessing random people trying to figure out the extent of his powers. He had no idea everyone who he possessed could permanently see him now.

Shenanigans happen, Mob and Reigen get involved, it ends up with Yoshioka insisting on adopting Dimple as if he's a very weird flying dog and Mob relents, while also "keeping an eye on him" (glaring at him all of the time menacingly). Dimple hates this predicament but warms up to Yoshi and the gang. At the end of the day Dimple and Yoshi get eachother into and out of trouble all the time for funsies. He's still a manipulative little shit though.

Yoshioka's in baseball club, is a local loner kind of like Onigawara's delinquents but even more so, but at the same time he lowkey wants people to think he's really cool. He resolves this by constantly trying to one-up Reigen in coolness and failing to be subtle about it. He flexes new shoes, shows off stuff Reigen doesn't have, tries to act stoic and collected always. Losing the idgaf war by trying too hard to win the idgaf war. They have a playful rivalry in which Reigen sometimes notices his antics and sometimes is just clueless so Yoshi tries even harder. Reigen insists Yoshi is an "employee" in the "exorcism business" and tries to boss him around, Dimple tries to get Yoshi to retaliate, Yoshi frankly doesn't care he just wants to hang out.

Dimple's also become a sort of urban legend because of his recklessness, leading many cryptid fans to speculate. Local alien failfangirl Tome Kurata has taken this very far and is now leading an investigation of her own. A journalist gets briefly involved. So basically Dimple is currently both under protection from the occult hunters and constantly threatened by Mob if he tries anything evil. He's doing fine though, Yoshi makes sure of that. He worries because he feels a sense of responsability over Dimple, even if Dimple dislikes that.

Overall your honour they're just goobers.

okay so modred here!!! and i am about to share my total, unbiased, unfiltered and honest thoughts.

i am leaving the blog

yes yes i know i try to act unbothered by everything but its scary how everything changed so fast! did you know i was actually considering sharing my main on here because i thought this place was so chill? safe to say im glad i did not do that.

i've tried to win the idgaf war but the truth is its killing me. im fighting in the idgaf war and im losing. it feels like its been months since it started, but its not even been three weeks. just over two, im pretty sure. its not even been three weeks since i've turned 15 years old!

two days after my 15th birthday this started!! what unfortunate timing. and honestly, ive got exams in less than a month, and i've been so stressed about everything. not just exams, not just internet drama, but like a secret third thing too.

its super scary to admit im being stressed out by all of this considering that there are people whove taken pride in upsetting me and for what crime? they're old posts. i was 14 when i posted them. id apologised. id listened to advice. i'd improved. but all because one day someone decided they didn't like the blog, this entire account collapsed and so did my mental health with it it seemed.

i dont like being honest. i just like to laugh about everything. i know certain people are going to be laughing and proud that they've made me leave this blog while reading this post, and while thats the reason ive been scared to leave this whole time, they're going to do that anyway. they're going to keep hating me. so the least i could do is try to put myself first rather than try to push through it using spite as my motivator.

i know there will likely be people bragging on their accounts that they've made me leave (im aware of what people are saying). and that upsets me. i wont lie. but at the end of the day, if you find yourself being proud of making a newly turned 15 year old leave an account that they once found comfort in, then thats more of a judge of character about you than me.

its scary how people can decide that they don't like you one day and make a post ruining everything, and its scary how people can act comforting to your face and then go ahead and brag about how upset they've made you to someone else, but in the end i cannot control what people say and at the end of the day i can only control what i do and who i surround myself with and thats why im leaving.

House of the Dragon 2x3 episode reaction. I have alot of thoughts, bare with me.

The episode was eh but that's mostly just because it's the calm before the proverbial shitstorm.

BAELA “I COULD SMELL BITCH FROM A MILE AWAY AND IT'S ON SIGHT” TARGARYEN, HOW I LOVE YOU!! MOONDANCER IS BEAUTIFUL! MY BRAVE GIRL DID HER THING. IKTR POOKIE!! HER SASSING RHAENYRA, 10S across the board. I know Rhaenyra is tired 😩

I'll always feel for Rhaena, she finally was able to speak although, I wanted more dialogue from her, it's fuckin owed atp HBO, but you could feel her resentment, her anger and her frustration during her scenes. I feel so bad for her cause the only people that are really looking out for her are Rhaenys and Baela. Daemon don't give af, Rhaenyra is trying to find a balance between being a mother and queen but you could see that there is a distance between her and Rhaena even though she lived with them instead of on Driftmark with Rhaenys. When Rhaena first accepted the “mission” and walked off you could tell Rhaenyra wanted to tell her something but it looks like she doesn't know how to talk to her, which is fuckin sad. So those headcanons of her probably only having her brothers to talk to and Luke by extension makes her situation even worse. The glass child fr. So she's most definitely claiming a dragon this season and honestly good on her. Although if they do write Nettles out I'm gonna be pissed. That scene with Baela and her warmed my heart though. Another thing Rhaenyra totally brushing her feelings aside and being like my sons, my sons, my sons is totally not helping her character either. I'm honestly mad they fumbled the majority of the team black relationship dynamics. Rhaena going to ward is literally foreshadowing her future in the dance so I'm not mad at her, she did become everything Rhaenyra wanted her to be, was literally the last of the Targaryen's future and history before Dany came along. I know one thing though they better give her Morning idgaf what they gotta do. That is one important part of the plot I won't forgive if they rewrite it.

Honestly I don't give a damn who gets pissed but fuck Corlys. I said what I said and I'm not taking it back. I don't ever want to hear another “Rhaenyra and her bastard boys usurped Rhaena and Baela”, Corlys is just as misogynistic as the rest of the men in the realm. In the books the succession of the Driftmark throne was up in the air but they rewrited it in the show and yes Baela and Rhaena didn't have a claim to it cause Laenor was Corlys firstborn in the show and he did legitimize his boys but he had an opportunity to make Rhaena Lady of the Tides, she would've been either way had she married Luke as intended but he didn't and you wanna know why? Take a guess, exactly. It goes without saying. I understand him not naming Joff, he's heir to the throne in case anything happens to Jace but he could've named Rhaena and he didn't. So fuck him. Also foreshadowing for the end of the dance.

I wish y'all could've heard the long drawn out exhale that I let out knowing we gotta be see Larys Clubfoot ( the old man was so real for that name 🤣🤣😭😭🤣) more on my television screen. So Crispin, Clubfoot and Gwayne and Aegon, I can't win. Battle of the incels and they're failing upward while we lose 💔. I'm sick. The only thing I like about Gwayne is him irritating crybaby Cole and immediately clocking that there's something going on with him and Alicent. He's messy, I could appreciate that.

Young Rhaenyra was a nice little surprise even though the context for the scene was dark. Daemon getting his death notice in Harrenhal (also foreshadowing) and his dream sequence was peak if you ask me.

I need Rhaenys to never ever in her life speak on Luke's name again. I understand what she was trying to say but even having the audacity to insinuate that it's Luke's fault the war even started cause he took Aemond's eye (he was literally trying to protect his brother and her granddaughters) and that Otto and Weak King Vizzy T council wasn't planning to usurp and kill Rhaenyra from the start is blasphemy to the highest degree. Her clocking Rhaenyra's council was good though. The men in this show are just so ughhhhh. Why did they give Rhaena and Rhaenys an off screen goodbye when she was one of the most important people in her life and especially since she's gonna y'know...

Helaena telling Alicent she forgives her is so gonna hurt when we remember in future episodes. This is gonna greatly contribute to Alicent's suffering especially when Helaena goes off the deep end. She's going to realize she had a hand in destroying one of the purest and greatest things in her life and we the viewers are gonna be hurt.

Didn't expect to get a full blown view of Aemond hanging out but okay I guess. There he goes again not addressing his problems (his bum ass older brother, his nuisance, his bane of his existence) and going to take it out in somebody else though 🥱.

Sept Rhaenyra had the same energy as Arryk pretending to be Erryk and you can't convince me otherwise. I know they were gonna do a reunion between the two but Rhae still trying to be a pacifist and not knocking Alicent's head about even a little bit was stupid to me. She literally tormented her and her children for years! What more was there to say? Get in the field Rhaenyra!! Do you guys really think Alicent didn't know Viserys wasn't talking about her son Aegon? Let's all bffr for a second. She knew and they wanna chalk up the entire dance to it being a mistake is rather irritating. Alicent being prideful and can't admit to her wrongdoings even after the fact that Rhaenyra told her the prophecy is not in the least bit surprising. It just cheapens the outlook on the whole “Dance of the dragons” honestly.

I hate the fact that the writers spun the show into an Alicent vs Rhaenyra situation when the whole gist of season 1 and the books was Rhaenyra vs Misogyny. Women not being allowed to rule because they're women y'know.

In terms of screen writing HOTD IS WEAK and I'm blaming the writers for not reading the source material before putting pen to paper. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they can't rewrite certain stuff, it's a given with the limited amount of episodes per season, sometimes you do need new plots to shock the viewers and you can't really get into everything but at certain points it's downright ridiculous. Spinning the conflict into a misunderstanding is stupid and I stand by that.

= I know this is supposed to be a whole thing of "ohhhh these guys think they're free but they're still being controlled yada yada" but at the same time as someone who hated the Emissary retcon and wishes that we could have gotten more from the characters as they were before........them being angry over losing what they had is very very good and I wish it wasn't done through "evil corruption magic." It was good with corrupted Slayer because they dedicated an entire issue to it and FREED HER at the end, allowing more time and space for development; here it's just a quick fight scene and in the case of Blue, followed up with death. And slight spoilers here, even if they don't die here, the way the Emissaries have been dropping like flies doesn't give me much hope for their survival if they show up in the main series

= I wonder if this is a reference to how in an early draft for the Ranger Slayer one-shot, the Bow of Darkness was going to be broken in half by Zombie Rita and Slayer would have used it as dual swords. Either way it's fucking cool

= also while the inclusion of Dino Thunder as one of Pink's forms is a simple mistake, it takes me back to those old DT AU fics where Kim became DT Pink. They're canon now guys, no takebacks!

= So turns out the "Illumination" are just a bunch of senile grandpas. Yeah, that's.............the big revelation for where the Morphin Masters have been. ok

= Now let me just say for this story, the Morphin Masters being useless is a fine decision, for the same reason why the Morphin Masters were useless in Dino/Cosmic Fury - you can't have these overpowered god figures show up and fix everything with a wave of their hand. This applies to every story ever - the god-like figure is captured, or dead, or simply doesn't care enough to interfere. It's a very basic and logical choice for a narrative in order for our actual grounded protagonists to be the heroes.

HOWEVER. It's another instance of Boom hyping up these kinds of storylines as groundbreaking revelations of PR's mythos for years just for the actual reveal to be kind of a letdown. Phantom Ranger's identity. Dark Specter being a major villain. The Squadron Rangers. And now the Morphin Masters' current status. All hyped-up concepts that either get rushed or end up secondary to other concepts, and in the end, don't feel like they matter. It's getting to be a bit tiresome, and I'm saying that as someone who doesn't hold PR lore high on her list of reasons I enjoy the franchise in the first place. And it doesn't help here that, as I've said before, it just feels more like a way to stretch out this event to fill its year-long timeframe. By the end of this book, nothing was accomplished except two more Emissaries are dead (not that they did anything before this) and I guess Green and Black will eventually join the fight, so what was the point of it all. Slayer never really believed the Morphin Masters would help them anyway, so it's not like she changed by the end either - Pink was the only one who really developed as a character, and, well......

= Pink quick eat an imaginary Snickers you're not you when you're hungry

= this is the third person Slayer has killed in two books. she's so good at her job

= also you may have noticed that we've killed two Emissaries and they're not turning to stone nor having a giant spider boi burst out of their bodies. It's soooooooooooo cool how that entire story arc meant nothing in the long run

You can ignore this if you want to but since you're also a bucktommy and buddie shipper I felt that I could share this with you.

Do you know the meme of Thanos and Gamora from Avengers Infinity war? The one that says:

-did you do it?

-Yes

-what did it cost?

-Everything.

That's how it will feel if buddie goes canon in the future. Yes, buddie has happened but for it to come canon other things happened like:

Creator, writers, and producers being bullied

Actors that played love interests being bullied

Oliver and Ryan being bullied and criticized

Other cast members being bullied

Leaving hate comments on every single media platform

Sending death threats

Bullying other fans (including multishippers)

And I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some stuff

Having watched the show since s2 and shipping buddie since then, i have to say that if they become canon, I will be happy but it will definitely be bittersweet giving everything that has happened. I will for sure stay away from here because I know that the amount of posts making fun of others will be unstoppable.

ngl I considered ignoring this but I thought I just say this one thing:

all those things have happened and more. and if buddie goes canon those things will stay with it, yes. but if it doesn't go canon? those things will stay with us still.

shitty behaviour is unfortunately a part of any fandom and the bigger it gets, the more it happens. this fandom has a specific issue when it comes to women in general, but especially love interests, which now include a man(/men potentially).

these people are loud, hateful, annoying and they can sour anyone's fandom experience, including the people working on the show.

there will always be push back from the other fans though and after the usual flare ups (big storylines, certain interviews, etc) most people become tired of entertaining these brainless dickheads and they get blocked and muted by so many people that they lose what little power they had in the first place and possibly end up leaving the fandom because they're no longer getting the response they are looking for.

and for the people who love spreading their misery:

harassing other fans, creators, crew, actors, etc. will never be okay. idgaf if you think someone else's opinions are stupid, or the ship you like isn't canon and others dare to like the canon ship or vica versa, you do not go and send death threats to them, nor do you leave hateful comments and an assortment of threats under social media posts of those people or other fans or official accounts.

and I'm sorry to say, but I'm a 100% serious: if you can't handle a multimillion dollar TV show not doing exactly what you — a single person amongst the millions watching — want, without a meltdown and online bullying and harrassment... unless you're literally a child, that is a major, major developmental and socialisation issue and it requires professional help.
