just finished the season WOW that was intense!!! 😭 i collected my thoughts as i was watching it too heres all of it: (spoilers ahead ofc!!! btw this is really long you were warned)

episode 1 (the blood moon):

Ok idk how to do this so ill just start with myself (or better my parent)

Bcs we all know im a whore for op characters and I really didn’t wanna go basic and just be mals sister or smth I decided to put wanda aka scarlet witch into this universe (basically after the whole no more mutants thing she was banned into the universe by dr strange and professor x or smth yk idk and she tried to get back and that caused some trouble so she was put on the isle of the lost) haha my dad is hades btw but I don’t know it, my mum doesn’t know him either it was more of a ons gone wrong situation

Nowww some stuff about me, my name is scarlet pietra maximoff (yes after Pietro) and im 16 in the first movie. I basically have my mums powers but cant use them on the isle obviously soo idk that I have them until i get to auradon. Also wanda is more like her comic version but since idk the comic events bcs I haven’t read them there are probably inaccuracies lmao. I speak sokovian and exclusively sokovian with my mum and its my first language but English with everyone else. I have red hair in the first movie (but like scarlet red not ginger) and then in the 2nd at the start I have dark auburn / brown hair and in the third I have like dark red hair with like black roots? Idk how to describe it. In the first and 2nd movie I have like red eyes (not in a creepy way) and in the 3rd I get blue eyes, ill say why later.  My main color is red yk scarlet witch and shit and idk what else to say haha but feel free to ask questions

My s/o is ben aka beasty boy (fr I started calling him that before I found out uma calls him that soo yeah I thought I was onto smth only to find out im not the first one who came up with that) and hes the same basically except he also speaks French (I love french speaking men and beauty and the beast takes part in France originally so sue me) idk the timeline is pretty much the same as in the movies except the whole breakup thing at the start of the 2nd movie doesn’t happen

Plot of movie 1: I go with all the other vks (its just 4 but ok) to auradon but except like 1 month to the coronation like in the movies it’s for the whole school year (idk when the coronation was but id say like June or smth) soo from august on. Since my mum is kinda yk abandoning me and being a shit parent bcs shes still grieving and some shit I basically was always around the other 4. Then once there everything kinda plays out like it does in the original movie except for my powers embarrassing me around ben haha idk I think its funny to have my powers go cray cray when im around him (also we dream of each other before we meet bcs *soulmates* but like without seeing faces and stuff). Then mal comes up with the whole love spell thing but it’s a bit different, it only works if the person casting the spell loves the person theyre casting it on (idk I needed an excuse for why mal would let me cast the spell) soo yeah I do the spell and then I basically take mals place for a bit. The whole parent day thing comes up (in the zoom thing they do with the villains my mum doesn’t show up tho) and audreys grandma still grabs mal and stuff and my powers kinda work subconsciously and yk pull them apart and make chad fall into the sleep thing so then everyone hates us (especially me) again and I feel terrible. Coronation day, same thing, love spell gets dissolved bla bla bla. Jane takes the wand, I take the wand from jane, maleficent comes and I give the wand to mal and mal gives it to the fairy godmother, maleficent freezes everyone. Now it strays from the movie basically mal fails to turn maleficent into a lizard like in the movies and she gets also like frozen then I come in and save the day and then fall into like a small coma bcs my powers feed on my life force / energy yk and that was too much. But then I wake up again.

Movie 2: beginning is the same except I replace mal as yk future queen but mal still feels overwhelmed and misunderstood and runs away after the picnic scene (its me and her in the scene, I replace ben in that one). Basically i find out and tell evie and she tells ben and they convince me to stay put while they go get mal bcs yk the coronation thing was scary and im not the most popular over there atm. Ben gets captured, the boys get me to make the wand bcs printing it takes too long, we go back to the isle and we save ben. I use my powers but not that much yk just I know my boundaries. Fast forward to cotillion, uma still spells ben, she turns into a sea monster and I start idk fighting her but since I used so much of my powers the day before already to make the wand and in the fight so yk im nearing the edge of too much. Mal turns into a dragon, ben jumps into the water, does a less y/n pick me version of his speech, uma goes, mal turns back but doesn’t have the big purple dress moment, just a small purple dress moment (like not the big ass gown but more of a cocktail party dress) bcs theres no way shell steal my moment haha

Movie 3: same thing the whole time basically except that when Audrey shows up and spells ben, I go after him immediately and the boys find me while they search for ben in the woods. Mal still gets hades ember (and finds out im her sister during it) and also still promises uma that she’ll free the villains but since shes not the future queen in my dr she doesn’t have jurisdiction to push that through and when I tell that to mal and uma and that I cant just do that uma gets angry and leaves like in the movie. Also since imo the whole ‘we’re not evil anymore and all are happy to go to auradon’ plot doesn’t happen in my dr bcs its stupid haha. In the end I fight with Audrey and get my wandavision scarlet witch transformation moment and yk basically shes agatha and im wanda (she not only took maleficents wand and the crown in my dr but also the darkhold which is still like a dark magic book but without the corruption part, its kinda like the ring from lotr, it corrupts everyone except the owner yk so I don’t get corrupted if I use it but Audrey does) and I absorb hades ember during that thing (Audrey is holding it) which gives me *drum roll* blue eyes. In the end the exchange program will be continued but yk not the barrier lifted bcs the villains are still villains and wanna get revenge (I believe in character development but that whole plot was just stupid af on Disney part sorry not sorry).

LOL i think when i wrote that in (because the kiss scene was the first part written of ch04/acswy in general) andi commented on it like HEHEHEHE as well! we'd been vocal about the parent trap references before so i think it was a nice easter egg to put in there! there were definitely some people who knew the kiss was coming but maybe not a full blown make out while swoon by beach weather plays in the background 💘

i will remain silent on all of the intricacies of mike and will's 13 year old kissing and the fearless lore BUT i can at least reiterate what ch04 confirmed: they have kissed before! they were 13! it was mike's first kiss! at this time, i cannot confirm or deny that it was will's first kiss as well!

loving the way this neurodivergent line is probably the standout of ch04 because when i initially wrote it, it was definitely somewhat of a joke -- and then suni and andi said NO LEAVE THAT IN and it's everyone's favorite HAHA

THROUGHOUT THE STORY!!! you can SEE it when theyre kids and they fight but then when it matters most theyre always there for eachother like an incredibly strong link you can SEE IT!!!! you can SEE IT SO MUCH IN FARAWAY TOWN when they FIGHT AND THEY GET TO THE PEAK OF THEIR FIGHTING BUT ITS BECAUSE THEYRE BOTH SO HURT U CAN TELL THEY DONT WANT THIS U CAN TELL THEYRE JUST TRYING TO PROTECT WHAT THEYVE BEEN TAUGHT NEVER TO LOSE (for aubrey, she can’t let herself be vulnerable again. being vulnerable is what caused her to get hurt traumatically. to be left by mari, and by her friends, and by KEL who she always tended to argue with but god did u see a more strong established bond that wasnt by the siblings apart from them. did u see a more meaningful arc. yeah. and FOR KEL who has lost the people and the circumstances that he grew to love and trust so dearly and now theyre only coming back to him in waves and he is GRABBING ON to protect himself, to protect that legacy and those memories, to hold onto the semblance of strong bond that he was never able to truly replicate with other people)

basically he gets turned sometime in like. basics. he almost fucking dies because he understands the whole vampire concept but he just does not want to attack anyone but EVENTUALLY he gives in and drags florida to the caves and feeds on him but then grif finds them and hes like What the fuck.

so then grif has to deal with the fact his fucking newfound teammate is a fucking vampire and. simmons feeds on him once. total accident. (grif was provoking him.) and grif has AB type blood so it's real fucking good and simmons fucking loves it like. it could not even compare to florida's

at some point, ~6 weeks after simmons feeds for the first time, he comes up to grif and is like "Hey man i need a favor" and he asks if he can feed off grif like once a month and in exchange simmons like? doesnt rat him out to sarge when hes slacking. that typa stuff.

it's like that. for years. and they hide it from everyone else and ALSO simmons sucks at being a vampire. like genuinely he is the worst. comedically terrible. so he cant really control the thrall thing so when he bites grif and accidentally messes with his fucking hormones (turning him on) and simmons is just fucking terrified of it he always backs off immediately and grif is like Can you please stop doing that. and simmons says Ok. and then it happens again. usually the way this would happen would to be to convey the way the vampire wants their victim to feel about the bite and such but simmons is just so bad at controlling it he fucks up alllll the time.

he doesn't really get better at it ever so grif just sucks it up. no one out of the rnbs know that simmons is a vampire aside from the freelancers and caboose (lucky guess).

also, season fifteen. while they're separated, simmons is practically starving because he hasnt fed off of anyone else in years so hes just. suffering. mentally and physically. he has to attack a fucking zealot when hes with the bnrs because hes so hungry but the blood tastes godawful he can barely get it down. simmons can quite literally only survive with grif. they keep each other alive. temple also outs him as a vampire while theyre in the cells (he know because of access to freelancer files) right before grif comes in and it pisses him off so fucking much hes so fucking angry he is rattling the bars and Hissing n shit its cray.

also, simmons gets to fucking murder gene! which is fan-fucking-tastic! hes just so fucking angry at gene and he hates him so goddamn much after grif shoots him simmons instead pins him to the floor and actually rips out his fucking throat. its the only time hes ever attacked someone for violent intent and grif, for once, is actually fucking scared of him. grif has to literally drag him off of gene to get him to calm down AND he has to cut himself to simmons can smell his blood and snap back to his senses.

even after the bnrs incident grif keeps a little distance from simmons (he doesnt want to) only because of the way simmons attacked gene and grif is just a little. shaken up. he still doesnt let simmons feed off of him for days/weeks because he just needs to get used to being with him again in general so its just. Eugh.

also simmons is very considerate . after every time he bites grif he makes sure to keep him comfortable and get him food and drinks after so he doesnt pass out from blood loss or something.

Advancing Animal Care

Lions, Tigers, and Bears- Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Animals have the ability to enrich and improve our lives- whether you have pets of your own, admire wild animals, or enjoy a visit to the zoo. This course talks about animals, their behaviors, and what we can do to learn about caring for them better. You don’t have to have or want a pet to join, just bring your interest in learning about animals!

Video and Sound Editing: The Art of Foley

Brrrng Brrrng, WHOOSH, Thud! The subtle addition of sound effects help to bring any movie to life- but some of those sounds are not what they seem! This course explores using the objects around you- from the weird to the mundane- to create and piece together sound effects for videos. Learn how to make fire from a potato chip bag or swing a sword using a metal spatula! Don’t have a microphone? No problem! We have access to free media sounds, videos, and images, so you can join in on the cacophony!

For the courses, I was thinking about access points for the students. What could any student do from home, given the resources we (the school and myself) and they (the students and their families) have?

I was also given 3 instructions from my boss:

1. Gotta be fun. F U N. So fun. Much fun. Lorge fun. Well, you know how to be fun i dont need to explain that to you.

2. Can you please teach the kids how to use that video editing program we paid for thats actually really frkn cool that no one ever uses?

3. They should be project based, aka there should be some kind of culmination of what they learned, but not to prove they learned, but to give them a purpose to work towards

Reaching students and encouraging them to engage with our curriculum has been understandably difficult- shits cray cray roght now- corona, protests, most of the students are at or below poverty line. There's a lot of things more important than school, but nonetheless we want to provide the students with some kinda of vague connection to each other, the staff, the community of our school and also stability and consistency for some of them.

I have to be aware about what the students have accessible to them. I know every student enrolled in the school, including the ones coming into the school this year, as well as the graduated seniors, have been given access to a laptop and internet, courtesy of our local internet provider, and our badass IT guy for tirelessly working on grants to get us all the technology disbursed and usable. They all will have access to the video editing program, and the laptops are equipped with a microphone. I know none of them should be expected to buy or acquire materials outside of their house. I know students arent gonna wanna do shit right now because everything feels so bleak and because digital learning is notttttt what any of us signed up for.

My plans for Advancing Animal Care is to give several options for what the students would like the end project to be.

1. Make a human-made habitat (zoo, pet, preserve, conservation area, etc) for a species you like

2. Create an enrichment plan for one of your pets

3. Some kind of essay/writing or video focused stuff around some animal theory thing we talked about that you wanted to dive into more

See those access points 😏 thats right all kinds of options for all kinds of students

The end project of the foley class is yknow self explanatory. A video. Lol but im going to work with them on how to use the tech.

Im pretty excited. Plus my boss asked me to explain my plans as an example and she had high praise. Im finally understanding how to create things within the scope of the school. Feels good

Its also not a stretch from the program making stuff i did when i worked at the zoo, with the biggest difference being i work with these kids for more than a week, so i can better identify their strengths and their needs and build on them.

Funny, i really thought working at the zoo was my end point and my life's work. But this job actually feeds my soul and makes me feel overall better, determined, and even loved and able to give love yknow? I have the same love for animals and habitats as I do the kids in front of me. Theyre fascinating to be around, have their own free will and way of interacting with the world, and teach me something new regularly.
