hes a shapeshifter :] mostly adaptive, though the execution fucked up his ability to do so for a while. eventually got back control of it after technos "execution" and can shapeshift more freely now. turned his ram features into goat ones

colors (minus accessories) are all taken either from irl tubzo or his mc skin

really the skulls horns would probably be under his horns but over the antlers? but i didnt feel like messing around w layers even more after accidentally forgetting his ear the first time i saved this dksbnx

antlers are bc of ranboo :] the ring around his white goat horn is the wedding ring, infused with redstone and with emeralds and diamond bits on it

his horn (the one not on the exploded side) grew in like a rams at first and the other barely grew, he broke the first one so it would grow into a different shape and filled in both with gold (second one was more modeled with gold but thats semantics. hes planning on molding the broken antler with emerald but at the same time he likes matching with ranboo)

on his back he has feathering and little wings (feathered at the top, more dragon like though), sometimes he makes them bigger but most of the time theyre hidden simply bc hes not used to having them again (he used to have hummingbird wings before the schlatt administration, and enderdragon ones before being found by phil)

double tails were actually one tail with a double end bc of foolishs shark tail. turned into double tails after foolish moved out

this is kinda specific n i doubt u can relate but i love aquariums (rehabilitating ones) n i always get a new favorite fish when i leave, even if its just in acnh, n the last time i played acnh i was just lookin at all the fishies n was kinda imaginin if the sides went to an aquarium?? like what they’d wanna stay near the whole time n what they’d want in the gift shop and felt like i wanted to tell u about it since ur stuff always puts me in a good mood

i'm gonna say this is very hypothetical, i dont think in little/big universe they would all go to an aquarium especially while the boys are little but it's fun to think about anyway and i want to write them as little!

So baby vee would be pretty nervous, it's kinda dark, its a very enclosed space, and theres some scary creatures and it reminds him of the ocean which is pretty scary so he stays pressed right up to mama's side the whole time because logan talks about sciencey stuff about the animals, and if vee is in a big enough headspace its reassuring that they arent that scary, and if he is in a smaller headspace then really just hearing mamas voice soothes him

i think that vee's favourite bit would be the rockpool exhibits with the shallow open top tanks with starfish and stuff that you can stroke very very gently! papa holds his hand and helps him stroke the starfish really softly and vee squeaks and wipes his finger on papas tshirt to get the weird feeling off but he's smiling and giggling from it

Logan's favourite would be the jellyfish! because they're like floating brains and theyre majestic - and the movement of them is very soothing so i think at some point inevitably during the trip vee gets a bit overwhelmed and freaked out, maybe by the reptile/amphibian exhibit and while papa and ro stay there, mama takes him into the jellyfish room and holds him for a few minutes while they calm down and watch the pretty jellyfish float

i also think there would be a blacklight in the exhibit to show how the jellyfish are UV and glow in the dark too, so its amost like watching a lava lamp! very calming for vee and logan both, and they get to cuddle which is relaxing and logan talks in his mama logan voice about all the fun facts about the jellyfish and what makes them glow and vee is basically falling asleep from it

but because it's so dark in that room, roman cant go in there bc of his nyctophobia, so patton keeps him in the reptile/amphibian exhibit that vee had to leave and it's romans favourite!! he especially likes the turtles and alligators because he's been really into my little pony recently and pinkie pie has an alligator called gummy and rainbow dash has a tortoise called tank and roman is excited to see them irl!!

plus i think artistically he would be fascinated by the textures on their scales and shells and take a bunch of photos to paint them later

when vee has calmed down from the jellyfish and when roman is finally ready to leave the reptiles it's actually been half an hour when they meet up again to go to the bigger fish. Mama is carrying vee now who is sleepy, and logan is quite thankful that he is less aware because here come the shark tanks and he is certain the calm atmosphere would wash away if baby vee got a proper glimpse at their sharp teeth

and everyone expected patton to like the cute creatures and the baby fish most, but actually the sharks are his favourite!! and he stares at them and is like loganberry!! look how cute they are 🥺🥺🥺 and roman is lowkey glaring at them because they keep getting close to the glass near patton and roman is suspicious they are trying to attack his dad so he stands close to him to protect him but patton is just like AWWW LOOK THAT ONES CHUBBY and not find them frightening in the slightest, he gets really tearful when he reads the information plaque about how endangered they are too and logan has to comfort him

in the gift shop the boys are allowed to get two things each! roman instantly goes for an alligator action figure and a sketchbook with a pretty coral reef pattern on the cover

Vee is very shy about asking for presents and refuses to go looking around the shop with roman and hides himself in papas chest, so patton picks him up and carries him around the aisles saying 'oh look at that, that's pretty!' and '*gasp* i wonder if vee would like that.' and of course the baby can't resist looking

patton pretty much makes his way straight to the soft toys because stuffies are a huge comfort item for virgil, he basically collects them and will never get tired of them, and he doesnt miss how his babys head lifts up from his shoulder when they get closer to them

vee is still shy to pick on his own, so patton just picks ones up he might like and talks about how soft they are until vee can't resist and strokes them - and its obvious when he picks one because patton holds up a big pink starfish and says ooh this one feels good! and vee strokes the soft fabric, then squeezes one of the arms and gasps because it has beans in the bottom! and is squishy on top! perfect! and patton sees this and pushes it into vees hands and then vee feels that its slightly weighted, so he cuddles it to his chest and drops his head on pattons shoulder as if to say 'thats it, theres no point in me looking at anything else ive found the perfect one'

patton tries to remind him that he can have two stuffies but virgil whines and hugs the starfish tighter not really understanding that he doesnt have to give up that one to get another, so instead patton picks out a set of ocean-themed baby bath toys that they can play with at bathtime!

patton finds a coffee mug with a picture of a shark that has 'DADDY SHARK DOO DOO DOO DOO' written on it so of course he gets that

and Logan gets a book about what individuals can do to better preserve ocean life! and he checked the contents, theres a whole chapter on how to help protect sharks and he will be relaying the information back to patton once he reads it

- raihan truely brings out the “raging” in “nessa the raging wave”

- hes like the 4 year old on the playground that picks on the girl he likes by putting frogs in her backpack

- except this is a 23 year old man splatting a baby gloomy on nessas head by surprise as a hello

- raihan is confident. he doesnt get embarrassed or flustered easily, but he does around nessa. and when he gets TOO flustered he pulls his tooth hood shut around his face and just walks around like that

- nessa is usually cool, calm, and nice to everyone, except raihan, where even when hes being cool/nice and not annoying, she still tends to say something mean (and regrets it immediately afterwards. around him she cant seem to control what she says)

- however, the do get along when theyre bonding over listening to leons love bullshit!!!! theyre the only two in the league he trusts enough to ramble about his sonia love woes (and piers, but piers is too tired and just leaves)

- sometimes they get too bored listening to leons flustered rambling about how beautiful and amazing sonia is. raihan has eyes for someone else and nessa already knows all this, shes sonias bff. so raihan gets too bored and starts snapping selfies

- nessa notices and leans over to take some with him for fun. theres a lot of quiet whispered ‘try that filter-’ and ‘ugeh i look ugly. take one more’

- once leon notices theyre not paying attention he glares/gives them a flat look, and raihan just blurts out “what? we’ve heard this already. just ask her out or bone her and get it over with-” and nessa stomps on his foot

- by the by, raihan gives terrible relationship advice LMFAO!!!! he has gems sometimes, but hes the friend thats cool, flirty but always single. raihans advice is just “you have any baby charmanders? put a baby charmander on her head.”

- nessa has more relationship experience. at the very least shes a GIRL, so she can tell him what girls like. her and sonia arn’t terribly different in tastes. shes giving leon advice like “gold jewelry matches her skin tone more. her favorite flowers are lilies. if theres no lilies, get roses. make sure you like nice but not too nice. girls dont like clingy guys-” and leons just sweating, overwhelmed but trying to take notes. (he ends up just doing his own thing and sonia loves him no matter what)

- anyway, once leon and sonia get close again after she sets out for research, raihan bothers nessa a lot more. he does a lot of annoying things like grabbing her bun and trying to trap her in his hoodie, but he has his moments. when they go out drinking she tends to get really rowdy and he always takes care of her.,,.

- (raihan had a little crush on nessa for a long time. it was more like a “she hot” kinda crush at first but it eventually turned into him actually falling in love with her and not knowing how to deal with it besides annoying her and hoping hes loveable enough for her to go out with him)

- (nessa wasnt interested in him for a while. she admitted to herself like yeah, hes cool and handsome but hes too much of a handleful, and rejected his advances more than once, just thinking he was messing around. but after a while they have a few soft sweet moments and all of a sudden its like “oh no”)

- after they get together raihans harassment dies down a little, and he can tell a little easier when she did mean it when she said something terrible to him. he still teases her a lot, but its usually followed by a soft kiss on her cheek or something

- (on a side note, raihans kisses are really soft. nessa expected feral shark tooth man to be a lot more rough, but their first kiss is sweet and gentle. and her heart starts beating really fast and her face flushes and she thinks about it a lot afterward. and shes all confused because shes never had this happen before. AND shes all “raihan??? of all people??? no way right??? i dont like him??? right??? hahahaha [calls up sonia at 2am to talk to her about him bc she cant sleep]”)

ok so two of my Main Ones are era and takuma!!!!!!!! ft. some changed designs bc im considering revamping laylaylb bc it Kinda Sucks. 

so era is the shark one!!!!! her quirk is minor shark and its a mutant quirk that gives her vague mutations from a whitetip reef shark!!! that includes (but is not limited to) double rows of teeth, gils, some fins, enhanced smell and like, you know that thing that sharks do where they can find things from like,, those feely things from their chins?? yeah era can do that. she also tends to be more wild at night?? but it can be passed off as loopiness. since shes from a nextgen au shes the adopted daughter of kiri and baku???? her full name is bakushima era and she is like,,, just Rowdy and Easily Excited.

takuma is a more obvious nextgen kid and hes a tododeku fankid?? THOUGH in the revamp im gonna make him a todoiideku fankid with siblings bc ive always had concept for siblings for him but i was a Coward and never went through with them. his quirk is temperature control and its an emitter quirk that, when he touches something, he can adjust the temperature of an object. whenever he raises the temperature in something, the temperature of his body lowers, and vise versa. that often leads him to being cold constantly and having to bundle up his body in like a thousand jackets. its Very Relatable to me tbh. anxiety is hereditary so hes very anxious and withdrawn. he tends to be very scatterbrained and more often then not he forgets words mid-sentence and needs eras help to remember them. that leads him to repeat things a lot and quit a lot of things midway because he cant describe them. thats Also Very Relatable. his full name is midoriya takuma although in the revamp, its most likely that his name will be changed to iida-midoriya takuma

another important character to the nextgen who isnt actually a nextgen kid is siryoku karashiro (despite me often using first names as a way to refer to characters, i called him by his family name (siryoku) so frequently in laylaylb that thats just how i refer to him at this point) and hes really fun to draw. so hes kinda hard to explain without giving a lot about his backstory and eventual character arc away?? but hes from a rich family of lawyers who all have quirks that allow them to intimidate people by meeting their eyes. however, due to a recessive quirk from his moms side, he ended up having an variant of the black hole quirk. unlike thirteen, who (presumably) can channel theirs through their fingers, his is through his eyes. without a lot of practice with his quirk, he cant really control it and it often ends up being an all or nothing sort of trump card. siryokus very socially awkward and often has a hard time keeping up with extroverted people like ame and era. he also tends to miss expressions and figures of speech. but other than that, hes very earnest and despite his fumbles, wants to help others

while takuma era and siryoku are the Main Trio, takuma and era are also in another trio alongside ame, full name uraraka ame. shes a tsuchako fankid who really likes wearing christmas sweaters in the middle of summer. a part of this generations “big 3″ ame is a third year and an intern under thirteen. her quirk is zero gravity, inherited directly from ochako. shes very caring, and the “big sister” of the group if you will. she tries to help people as much as she can, and is the role model of both era and takuma. she is very energetic though, but she misses a lot of social cues and can as such be seen as pushy or overbearing. 

while she hasnt appeared a lot yet in either my comics or in laylaylb, another character who will end up being important is kyousou hansha!!!! she will be (eventually) the vice president of their class and has been shown to be very driven, determined, and almost judgemental. she hasnt come with the intention of befriending people who dont come up to her standards, though what exactly those standards are is currently unknown. (i know it though) all thats currently known is that she often knows how to take charge of a situation with a very analytical point of view, and that perhaps thats what helped her land a recommended spot into ua. (who recommended her and what her quirk is hasnt been officially shown, though if you look through my blog, im p sure i mentioned it at one point)

this is a very bad drawing, because kazankawa (full name kazankawa atsui) is one of my favorite characters to draw (without coloring because her details is hard for me to color) and has one of my favorite character designs out of my bnha ocs. her quirk is volcano, and its a mutant quirk that almost makes herself like a living volcano. however, she cant ‘erupt’. her skin literally has cracks around where it folds the most, so think at the joints of her fingers and in her elbow. it also has cracks below her eyes. the cracks are filled with lava, though it is purely stationary. she gives off heat and can produce smoke from her mouth (though she doesnt know it yet). she is also able to throw up lava, but thats just kinda gross. she comes across as level-headed, chill, and sleepy almost all the time. however, once she gets riled up or in the battle field, she becomes more wild and reckless.

some other characters and wow isnt this a great drawing, is the houkai squad. i dont have an official name for their group, but they have a really fun dynamic to write. houkai genki (the middle one in the screenshot) is the one that this entire group revolves around, because they are the one who taigun and kuroiya are around for. they have an emitter quirk called emp, which is. an emp. yeah. its,, self explanatory. some people think theyre slick, but really, theyre kinda just really stupid and has no self restraint. 

taigun kisaki (the leftmost) is literally the groups voice of reason and impulse control. her quirk is literally the most terrifying quirk ive ever come up with and its an emitter quirk that lets her control the bees. fuck you vigilantes i made it up before i knew you made a character with a similar quirk. shes by all means an extrovert, but has very thin patience and is constantly done by the shenanigans of this god forsaken group.

kuroiya fumukoi was actually the third bnha oc i designed, and was originally supposed to be a very withdrawn softspoken character. but as i wrote laylaylb, she was changed to an enabler of houkais, with just vaguely more intelligence than houkai, but instead of doing things out of sheer stupidity, more out of just ballsy-ness. her quirk is called shadow step and allows her to travel through shadows. it often leaves her hungry, so a lot of times she can be caught munching on something.

some other characters are the rest of the big 3!!! i love them a lot. like,, listen i would die for them. besides ame, theres suiro takara, the one on the right, and her quirk is crystal channel?? shes an intern under aoyama and can channel her own energy into crystals on her body (which is why she wears so many necklaces) in the form of lasers. shes constantly tired and stressed and honestly really offput by ame. ames excited and loud personality is a bit too much for her, so she tends to lash out or act cold. then theres yasuyou natsuki, the middle, whos quirk is flame body. her bodys literally a fire. as a result, all of the the third years had to be made extra fire durable outfits and gym uniforms to withstand being worn or coming into contact with her. ame has a crush on her, though yasuyou isnt aware of it. yasuyou is dense but upbeat, not interacting with ame a lot because theyre in different classes. (ame is in 3-a while yasuyou is in 3-b). also, ame, idk about u, but idk how ur gonna smooch fire.

i DO have a non-laylaylb bnha oc and i dont have a name or set design for her yet but ive been stewing over the idea of her quirk for the LONGEST time

so basically shes a support student whos quirk is balance. its an emitter/mutant kinda quirk that gives her impeccable balance and things that she touches the same balance as well. it comes in handy when walking/maneuvering with things in her hands, and allows her to stack things without the fear of them fall over. think about that one sasuke figurine that could balance anything on its head and think ‘what if that was a quirk’

she isnt keen on sharing her ideas with others, though when she does, its often for critique. she has an odd sense for knowing when people lie to her about their opinions, and prefers brutal truth. perhaps its because thats how she is-- overly blunt and bad at determining which things are and arent right to tell to someones face.

I cant believe that im still here. And we have majority. 3 vs 2. Matt is coming to me know saying that he wants to work with me but like. Bruh. But that could be good tho having him. I have to see what happens with immunity first.

I'm SHOCKED. I swore to Annabelle I wouldn't right her name down. And yet she writes my name down! And just as I was thinking I could trust Bryce HE RALLIES VOTES AGAINST ME! I'm so pissed off, and scared, and hurt, and now I have to scramble to figure something out.

Okay let recap everything that has gone down in this 24 hours since I was betrayed. So I talked to Annabelle A LOT. Basically we've talked to each other a ton. I discover that Anna made the plan for the tie and then Bryce was only willing to flip if the vote was for me. SHADY. I knew I should have never trusted him. So basically either I convince Annabelle to save me, everyone goes to rocks, or Matt and Brian flip on me and I go home. I would have said the last one was super unlikely. So I start busting my ass to sway Annabelle. We have really opened up to each other about our games, she is feeling like she has to make a big move. I talked to her about how I feel hurt because I've busted my ass all game to save Anna and Matt and now they both seem unwilling to save me. I tell the guys we just have to be nice but imply to her she stands no shot of making the end without me and how Bryce is going to win. She has no idea we have the vote steal so Brian/Matt would definitely get Bryce out next. So I go to sleep thinking we are making progress. I wake up an Anna is like "Matt was rude to me so I'm definitely not flipping" so I'm starting to feel really hopeless. And then Matt and Brian both started to dodge the idea of rocks. And Anna is telling me Bryce thinks Matt is probably going to flip. So i'm thinking it's over. And in the FB Bois chat Matt and Brian both keep being like "I'm so conflicted" "we'd be guaranteed f4" "blah blah blah" So now I'm realizing these two aren't willing to go to rocks for me. I've spent this whole season trying to save our alliance at any cost. And now that I'm the one in danger...they aren't willing to take the risk. SO now I get it. I've been too nice. If they are going to put their games above mine and aren't willing to risk it so all 3 of us can make F5...I'm going to have to make sure we take that risk because it's my only shot. So I pitch to Anna a way she can get her rocks and I can be safe. We tell them that Anna agrees to save me. That way they think were set and it'll all work out and then it'll go to rocks and I'll be safe. It's super risky and I'm putting all my faith in Annabelle and I feel so scared and guilty and idk but this is the only way I survive and there is a chance Anna goes and it all works out. But...it's also not lost on me that Anna is willing to risk her own game to save me...but my own alliance isn't. I'm feeling...weird.

Brian went home. I...honestly am just feeling horrible. And he was so mad at me. Like mad to the point that I'm worried I ruined a real life friendship over this game. And Matt is furious too and he's going off on me in our group chat which fucking sucks. Like that was the worst case scenario for me. And it sucks. But I shouldn't have to feel bad about this. Like both Brian and Matt were willing to vote me out so they didn't have to go to rocks. They put their game first so why am I a villain for doing the same thing? And they want to be like "we were up front with you about not being sure" like that's supposed to make me feel better. Yeah of course you were honest you weren't the ones in danger. It's easy for y'all to be honest when you're just going to vote me out. I couldn't have been honest with them or they would have flipped and I would have gone home. How do they not see that? Was I supposed to just give up? How is that fair? And how is it that they can vote me out and I just have to accept that but they can't accept that I saved myself. I'm feeling super alone, like I can't trust anybody, and like my best friends won't even take a second to look at it from my point of view. Of course I feel terrible. I just hope this doesn't come between genuine friendships.

hi i want to talk abt foi bc its legit among the coolest things ive done; this is long as Fuck but the book is longer i just really wanna talk,, abt this,,

it’s a high fantasy set on the northernmost side of a huge desert (a sea borders its northern side; beyond the sea is a country filled with plains and forests)

there were seven tribes (i still need to look up definitions and see if thats the most accurate term for what im goin for; im thinking abt just using ‘city’ tbh but yknow) in the desert:

-the riches tribe, whose people could shape gemstones and metals (think metalbending but add precious stones in the mix; each person can only control one thing and ur power is usually decided by the stars or some shit)

-the elements tribe, who could control the forces of wind, fire, water, or stone (now LITERALLY think atla; powers are passed down genetically and a few people can control two elements if their parents controlled different ones)

-the land, sky, and sea tribes, who could control animals related to their tribe (land tribe ppl can also learn to turn into their favored animal, sky tribe ppl grow wings as toddlers, sea tribe ppl can breathe underwater & usually live in the sea on the northern border of the desert bc they dont do well on land; powers are decided based on the animals’ preferences – e.g. if ravens had a specific affinity for a kid in the sky tribe the kid would grow raven wings and be able to communicate with and eventually control ravens)

-the time and space tribes, who destroyed each other 60 years ago, and have the power to speed, slow, or even stop time during the hour of their birth, or manifest physical objects from glowing blue energy that makes up everything in the world (also can see in the dark, i guess?)

60 years ago, a huge war happened between the seven tribes, wiping out the space tribe completely (except for one person; more on that later) and destroying all but 200 of the time tribe, who repopulated to about 1,000, and ruining a Lot of stuff in the other five tribes. for the most part the remaining 5 tribes (minus the time tribe for Reasons) have rebuilt themselves but hints of the past war linger. no one is aware that the time tribe survived (they rebuilt their city FAR from the original location). the time and space tribes faded from public consciousness pretty quickly since all their historical records were destroyed; most of the knowledge about them now is legends and myths

in the present day, 5 children (one from each of the remaining tribes) who lost various loved ones to the same glowing blue knives (created, ofc, by the surviving member of the space tribe, ebon (…courtesy of 2012 me’s genius naming skills, they’re all gonna be like this it’s part of the aesthetic), though the kids dont know that or even recognize it as a space tribe power) are approached by an old man (guess who! its ebon) who claims to be the last surviving member of the space tribe and apparently has evidence that the time tribe is plotting revenge and theyre the ones that killed the kids’ families and he speaks of a supposed prophecy that 5 kids who the time tribe had stolen from are gonna defeat the time tribe once and for all

the kids (and at this point, hopefully the reader too) are the wrong kind of genre savvy, and believe they’ve been approached by gandalf or some shit, and each end up Accepting The Call

(meanwhile back at the time tribe, the king and his rebellious teenage son talk about the future of the time tribe. teenage son, midnight (heyy GUESS what hour hes able to use his powers) learns to use Time Powers that are suspiciously dissimilar to the ones ebon was talking abt the ppl from the time tribe being able to use. midnight uses his powers to get more sleep bc his dad kinda overworks the shit out of him bc like the future of this horrifically unstable and tiny city is in midnight’s hands, basically, and we learn that Its Dangerous bc if u get stuck slowing down/speeding up time after ur 1 hour is up u basically become Time Tobias and ur trapped like that Until You Die)

if uve made it this far i think its time for a proper introduction to the 6 protags of part 1 (another is added in part 2 but we’re not there yet)

-eagle, from the sky tribe, a Massive Fuckin Jock Who Loves To Sport. shes 14 and pretty athletic but tends to chicken out when shit gets tough and so never makes it to the Fly Sport Playoffs. shes a Massive Optimist at first but then she finds her parents dead (hint: it was ebon). she deals with this throughout the novel i hope im writing her well lmao because i wanted it to have a Legit Impact on her character and not just be angst. A N Y W A Y she instantly pegs ash and emerald as The Rich Kids (ash is legit a rich kid, emerald is just from the riches tribe where they traditionally sew gems and shit into their clothes) and judges em for it

-snake, from the land tribe, a 13yo, Lonely Autistic who loves reptiles. (ok i mean. this is high fantasy and im really not sure if autism is a diagnosis in high fantasy. ive done my absolute best to code her as autistic and she is in fact autistic i just dont say it in canon bc idk how to bring it up) ppl dont like her at first because she comes across as cold but actually shes like the most adorable fuckin dork youve ever seen shes great. she doesnt talk hardly at all unless shes Super Comfortable around the people shes with, which is a challenge for me to write but tbqh shes my absolute favorite of the bunch,, also her only friend ever was a thief named lore who was (supposedly) killed by GUESS FUCKEN WHO

-ash, the 14yo daughter of one of the 4 ruling families of the elements tribe. her family’s genetic power is fire but she could never figure it out (later she discovers her power is actually water; im…..still figuring out how that works genetically she might just be adopted lmao) ebon brought her the news of her parents’ deaths and managed to kill her little sister while her back was turned; somehow she does not suspect him. shes kind of a snob and doesnt really /get/ the rest of the group and comes across pretty rude at first. (also, she and eagle deal w their very recent grief very differently but idk her exact Grief Arc yet)

-emerald, who i think is? 12? 13? i cant remember but somewhere around there; shes from the riches tribe, was orphaned as a toddler and raised by supposedly extinct desert dragons (which are basically 12-20ft desert iguanas), which were all wiped out horribly by more of ebon’s shit space weapons. she lived with ash’s family for a while when they were years younger but eventually emerald got blamed for ash’s lack of control over fire and was forced to leave, she found the riches tribe and discovered that she could metalbend emeralds lmao. shes a storyteller and raises money for orphans now i guess

-shark, a scrappy homeless 10yo from the sea tribe who will steal anything shiny enough. he has pointy teeth and an eyepatch (which covers a golden sphere in place of his eye) and hes reckless as fuKC. he was too young to remember his parents but when questioned about it he remembers blue knives (GUESS WHO). hes pretty unaware that sharks are infact chaotic neutral sea predators who do not give a shit about him even if he can communicate with them and he starts the novel with a Pretty Serious Bite Injury™. he takes a lot of shit apart and puts it back together in horrifying ways. yknow sid from toy story? basically thats shark if sid lived underwater and was portrayed as a fundamentally good person

-midnight, the 16yo prince of the time tribe, a Rebellious Teen™ who doesnt want responsibility and has Horrible Insomnia. he thinks his dad is Evil And Controlling and probably listens to heavy metal behind his back (meanwhile his dad is actually pretty decent just busy as Fuck trying to keep the time tribe from accidentally inbreeding collapsing and trying to show midnight how to lead; hes overprotective but not evil). he broke a pattern of various people born at midnight/noon alternating every century and people think hes Destined For Greatness™ or some shit; he is having absolutely none of that will someone let this child sleep instead of waking him up in the middle of the night to practice magic
