Shayne had sat in the corner booth, tucked away with headphones on as he stared at his laptop screen.
He'd been working on a script for a bit You were quick to greet him, grinning across the counter at him. "What's up, Shan-ye?" You chuckled as his eyes rolled.
He might've been a little pissed when Damien had used the nickname in front of you, expecting you would adopt the nickname just like everyone else had.
"l'm disappointed in you, you're just like everyone else." Shayne laughed when your eyes widened, placing your hand over your heart.
"I'm so sorry, never do it again. Pinky promise!" You smiled brightly, proudly presenting your finger to him.
Shayne felt the blush crawling across his cheeks as he raises his hand, twisting your pinkies together quickly.
"Okay, now can I order?"
You quirked an eyebrow, Shayne's hands quickly going up in surrender as he chuckles. "Same one?" You questioned, a smile on your face as you rang the order in. Shayne nods sheepishly.
You quickly go through your favorite routine, doing this almost daily. You finish up with another smiley face on the lid, almost becoming a signature for you. Shayne looked confused, brows furrowed and head tilted, as he looked back at you.
"I didn't pay?" He was quick to question, missing the deep red your cheeks become as he searched his pockets for his wallet. He'd become accustomed to the fresh pastries you slip him, giving up on arguing with you over your generosity.
"No, it's a refill, Shayne."
"Oh," Shayne nods, stuffing his cash back into his pocket. "I didn't know you guys give free refills."
"We don't." You grinned, winking at him before you dart quickly into the back. You didn't alow any chance for him to argue or question you anymore.
You can't believe he caught you. Shayne almost lost it, he couldn't believe how fucking sweet you are. He wanted to skip to the part in his life where he'd wake up next to you every morning.
The man turned, heading back to his seat. He couldn't focus anymore, everything circled back to you.
Shayne slowly worked it out, convincing himself that this was just a friendly gesture.
That's all.
"Bye, Shayne!" You called as you passed his table, waving softly.
"Bye!" He mirrored you, sighing softly as you left. He was so fucked.
