It’s Midnight. I’m allowed to post once during the hours when NYCC is at rest. Still sucks that I missed out on getting Sammy’s autograph when he’s on my side of the continent.

i think for sure they can not promote TLoVM, but I'm not sure about the panel about the campaign? I think those don't fall under the sag contacted works?... better wait for some official words anyways, it gets complicated
yeah i'm just waiting for a statement before making assumptions. CR is a weird grey area. but i wouldn't be shocked if most/all of their panels at SDCC were cancelled since the strike is discouraging actors from even attending

Coming out of hiatus hibernation to list, in no particular order, a few of the things I’m excited about with the Legend of Vox Machina just over the horizon.
To list the most obvious, the new surge of fan works that will undoubtedly be coming. I’m especially looking forward to any AMVs made with the angstiest music possible. Give me Percy no-mercying his way through Whitestone to “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor.”
The new fans! I know a fandom growing larger is a double-edged sword (although I admit I’m a nosy bitch and am morbidly curious about the ice-cold takes and weird discourse that could emerge), but it’s not enough to outweigh the excitement of new people getting to discover this story and fall in love with these characters.
I wanna see TLOVM explode! It’s already got a sizable fanbase building hype through word of mouth. I’ve seen a large number of people that were already interested in Critical Role but felt locked out by the sheer time commitment, and the cartoon could serve as an entry point for them. There’s also a demographic of people out there that are yearning for more well-written adult animation. With Castlevania over and Invincible in hiatus, things could be perfectly tee’d up to shift people over into TLOVM and swell its following even bigger.
Reaction videos! This definitely isn’t everyone’s thing, but I love seeing people freak out over epic moments and insane plot twists in the media I enjoy, and Vox Machina’s got some good ones.
Finding out the new voices for the NPCs! Who’s gonna be voicing Delilah? Cassandra? Gilmore?!
Duh, the ACTION?! I hope they went absolutely bonkers. I’m most looking forward to Pike’s destroy undead bomb at the center of the skeleton horde in Whitestone.
On the narrative side, I’m honestly really excited to see Vox Machina rewound a bit in terms of where they’re at as heroes. I love them, no doubt about that, but I think one of the reasons I ended up preferring the Mighty Nein overall is because we got to know them from the very beginning, when they were low-level nobodies, and we got to watch them claw their way up to becoming powerful, accomplished people. We didn’t get that with VM; they already had a shining reputation, a keep of their own, and the ear of a king when the stream started. They weren’t the LEGENDARY Vox Machina yet, but far from nobodies. The little teaser they showed us in the NYCC panel got me real excited, because the Vox Machina shown there is sloppy, disregarded, and mocked. It gives them an underdog quality we’ve never seen, and knowing where they end up makes me even more excited to go on this journey again.

It's right after the TLOVM panel and shortly before the beginning of C3, and what am I thinking about? Vandran, actually. I am who I am.
