Cross Guild Romance Prompt: Based off of this recent fanart of Buggy I just saw called "Pinned". Buggy commits a massive faux pas. Thankfully whoever Cross Guild is dealing with laughs it off but Mihawk and Crocodile are pissed six ways to Sunday. After the delegates for the deal leave, Buggy makes an even bigger mistake by running. He thinks to go and hide somewhere. One more mistake is that he goes to his quarters to change out of his ridiculous red onsie only for a knife to suddenly come flying out of nowhere and pin his ankle. More knives come flying and pin him spread eagle to the carpeted floor with his red suit torn. Mihawk and Crocodile loom over him, and he's absolutely terrified, especially when Mihawk brings out Yoru and buried her tip right between his thighs, dangerously close to his manhood. Buggy's crying and apologizing, and Mihawk and Crocodile can't help but notice how gorgeous he looks, pinned like a butterfly in a display, his blue hair loose and spread about his head. They decide to punish Buggy a different way, instead of a painful beat down, they are gonna reduce him to an incoherent puddle. They both of them then proceed to utterly wreck Buggy, Mihawk using his cross dagger to cut away at Buggy's suit little by little while Crocodile uses his wicked golden hook to tease and taunt their clown before they finally cut him free and take him to bed. Buggy is left with a new knife kink and a devious little incentive to mess up a little more often.

Buggy sneaking away from Mihawk and Crocodile because he knows he might be in trouble, but like the person laughs it off. What did he do? What was the massive faux pas! I say it was actually something really funny and someone people wouldn’t call it a mistake. IDK

Not Buggy left with a new knife kink, so he now has a feeling to mess up a little more often if the punishment would be much like what just happened before. Hopefully those mistakes are small and really funny

honestly, you should force him to dress up as a vampire on halloween with you. he would make a pretty good vampire (kind of inspired by that one vampire fanart from @niagaragrape), though he would be slightly unwilling to be caught wearing a costume. but it's always nice seeing him embarrassed.

despite that, if you could turn him into a vampire, he lowkey would want to be one. he just thinks it would help him be stronger in combat. and if you indeed live forever, he would want to spend eternity alongside you, as cheesy as it is. plus you’d be twinsies :D

Chapter 4: Who am I?

"What?" He said, glaring at me with a puzzled look on his face.

I'm so confused.. Who is this man? I look at him, my mouth slightly gaping open, my eyebrows furrowed as I curled my lip a little, glaring back at him. It was almost like a standoff. He stared me down from head to toe as I did to him.

"Who am I?? Who are you!!" I said in frustration, pointing my index finger to his chest.

"Look I don't have time for this. Answer me. Who are you?" He said, more clearly this time as he moves his face closer to mine.

Until now, I totally forgot about the position that we were in- My face heats up, flushing red and pink, and as do the tip of my ears. He was so close... too close... I push him back as hard as I can, panicking as I can feel my pulse racing.

"I- have you ever heard of personal space??" I mumbled, not being able to look him in the eye. I'm pretty sure that at that moment, all the hair in my body just sprung upward.

I didn't really know what to do... Viper never really got this far on the plan. I mean- All she really said was to blend in, be one of them. Yes, I'm blending in quite nicely with the crowd but how am I supposed to be one of them? Wait- before that- Who am I supposed to blend in with?? The man in front of me looked familiar but I don't think I've seen his face before?? He couldn't possibly be one of the agents in the protocol right..?

I clear my throat a little, as I extend my right hand. "I'm Y/n, and you are..?" I said, shyly looking away from him in an attempt to hide my flustered face.

He just stands there, tilting his head as if to quietly observe. 'What a strange girl..' he must've thought. He always snickered at me, I've realized that it was almost like his default face included a curl on his lips, as if he was going to say something but just chose not to.

"Yoru." He replied, crossing his arms as he looks at my hand, then back to my eyes.

Wow- rude. I timidly retreat my right hand to my pocket as I felt his eyes on me. Well... this is awkward..

"So you're saying that she... ran into the fight...?" Brimstone paused. "To defend you..?"

He leans on his table, brushing the paperwork aside to create room for himself.

"I've told you too many times already. Yes, and yes." Yoru said, a little bit annoyed now since Brimstone's been asking him the same question several times, as if he kept repeating it in order to convince himself that it really did happen.

"Ya gotta give us more detail man, I mean- Are we really just going to believe that a civilian, as short as her-" okay ouch. "-defeated a trained agent without even using her own powers? Like- think about it for a second there bud'' Jett said, still kind of disturbed and confused on how much other her must've whiffed so hard to let that happen to herself.

"I'm telling the truth alright? She just ran into Jett, kicked her gun away, and shot her dead." Yoru repeated, for the third time already. He's been in this office for so long even the gel on his hair was giving up on him at this point.

I just sat there awkwardly on the couch. My hands on my knee as I try not to look so suspicious. Not gonna lie, I was a little bit anxious. Well- not even just a little bit, I was extremely nervous- I genuinely don't know what to do... All Viper told me was to impress Brimstone. Very specific Sab. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT???

I stared out in the far distance, letting my mind wander, not noticing that I've actually been staring at Yoru for quite a while now. He spared me a glance, his eyebrow furrowing as he looked me directly in the eyes. I quickly turn my head to the side, my eyes widened in shock as I began to panic, hearing a thump in my chest. I don't know whether I'm scared or flattered?? Yeah no, I'm definitely scared of this man.

"Hey" Jett said as she pretty much lightly poked me on my shoulder. "What's your name?" she asked as she moved closer to me.

"Y-" before I could say anything, Yoru spoke before me. I still have absolutely no idea who he is- honestly, I've befriended a lot of agents in HQ and I just can't seem to remember talking to him...

"Y/n. Her name's Y/n." He said as he looked at me once more, giving me a 'right?' type of look on his face.

"Yea.. Uhm that's my name.. Heh.." I mumbled awkwardly, not exactly knowing what to say. All these people are kinda making me nervous for some reason... It's like the feeling of familiarity but the fact that they're complete strangers makes me unsure of what I should do. Should I have nodded instead of saying anything awkward? I've known everyone as far I can remember.. I mean how different can Jett be from Jett?

Brimstone clears his throat as he casually straightens himself up. "Well Y/n, It's nice to meet you. I've never heard of a civilian directly running into a gunfight before" He said.

"And not dying" Jett pointed out. She seems to be impressed. It makes her wonder if she'd ever have the chance to spar with you sometime–although maybe now is not a good time to ask.

"She's still a civilian though. She needs to go back to wherever hole she dug herself out of" Yoru said. He came off as a little rude, to be honest... I don't think he's aware of it though..?

I scoffed in response to his bitter statement. "Yea. The civilian that saved your ass" I blurted out, not being able to control myself. As soon as I realized what I said, I quickly cover my mouth with my right hand. Fuck, I think I just ruined my chance-

I stare at Brimstone expecting him to kick me out right then and there... but instead, he just started laughing along with Jett as Yoru snickered at me.

"You've got balls kid. Why don't you try out for the protocol?" He said, as his rusty old man's laugh started booming in the room.

I look at him, surprised of what he just said. "Try out for the protocol?" I asked. I looked so stupid right now.. I didn't even know people had to try out... I guess I should be thankful for my connections back at home... by connections I technically mean Sabine.

"Doesn't she have to get a recruitment letter for that?" Jett said while chewing on an apple she magically found somewhere, leaning on the arm of the couch in Brimstone's office. It's crazy how similar it is to our Brimstone's office back at home, makes me wonder what types of things are different between worlds and which stay the same...

"Not exactly, We just need to know what you're capable of." Brimstone said as he opens his laptop. "So tell me Y/n, what are your powers?"

Jett rose chest upright. With a breath of air, she's finally conscious. Sage takes a deep breath as she finally plops down onto her chair. She sighs to indicate a good few hours of work while Jett looks at her, eyes wide open. A teardrop forming inside her eyelids, and her mouth gaping open.

"Y-y/n... She..." She said, trying to find the right words to say. It was like the feeling of hope and despair at once. She wished that her memory was wrong. At least even just one bit. Yet she didn't know how to put it in words.

Sage puts a hand on her shoulder, despite being exhausted. She knew how important Jett and your friendship was. She lets Jett ramble on no further as she cups Jett's face with her right hand, gently rubbing her thumb on her cheek.

Silence filled the room as Sage's empathy seemed to heal past anything, even the broken pieces of Jett's heart at this point. One should know that the love experienced by two friends who grew up together goes past friendship already. The moment that you realize that your friend is the most stable platonic relationship you have, you can start considering them family of your choice already...

And Sage knew that. She knew very well that the bond between Jett and you was way past friendship. It was love. Love like you never felt before. You'd hate her guts one moment but the second you see her struggling, something in you felt like you had to step up.

Whether she knew you'd secretly fix her things the moment she complained about them or purposely lose a sparring session in order to put that smile on her face, you still did it for her sake because you knew yourself, how much she loved to win... She was family to you already and Sage often helped both of your shenanigans. The two of you were so oblivious to that fact...

Is there any averse toward dark-skinned uke? Everytime there's a dark-skinned uke in manga, many people comment about how he should be the seme instead. In manga and fanarts, whatever there's a dark-skinned character, usually he's portrayed as an aggressive/thug seme. Same with western fandom. I've very rarely seen dark-skinned men being portrayed as gentle, shy or passive/submissive.

I think this is mainly a racism thing, to be honest. It’s very common for people to portray darker-skinned people as “aggressors” in all kinds of media, not just limited to anime and manga (let alone BL!). It’s definitely a big problem. Luckily, I was able to find a fair number of series that have darker-skinned characters as the bottoms or subs.

OH BOY HOWDY. Well, Yoru, let me tell you a story.

Once, when I was a little 12 year old Kimba just starting out in the world of the internet, I had begun to frequent a Balto fansite. This was during a dark time in my life where I was considered one of those dreaded wolfaboos we all fear. This fansite had a forum, and I begun to participate in it very regularly. One day over the summer I noticed that people were suddenly having this little blue anime dog as their avatars and in their post signatures. Not to mention fanart of him popping up in the artist galleries on the website. I was confused and needed to know what the hell this thing was bc it was EVERYWHERE.

One of my good friends at the time (who I am no longer in contact with) was also into it and told me the series was called Ginga Densetsu Weed. So one night I decided to pull up episode one on YouTube and give it a go and see if it was as good as everyone was making it out to be.

I fell in love instantly. 

I later learned about its prequel, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, which I started watching side by side with GDW (oops). It took me over a year to watch both series because back then, as I had a hard time watching things subtitled and thanks to the violence shown in both series, I chose to watch them when either I was home alone or very early in the morning or late at night. 

I was worried about my parents seeing it and getting mad since my mom at the very least was always hella protective. Eventually she learned about the series on accident because she was going through my closet and found a CD I burned for the soundtrack and printed GDW’s logo as a CD jacket. She flipped out and thought it was something involving marijuana so I had to explain like no mom this is about anime dogs. She’s seen bits and pieces of the anime when she’s caught me watching it or seen me use it in AMVs and she hates it on principle of it’s content.

I eventually tried to see if I could get my dad to watch GDW with me because he is typically more relaxed with that stuff. I had the entire show burned on DVDs at this point (Later did the same for GNG) and brought them with me when I visited him one summer. While watching the first episode he mocked the Japanese the ENTIRE time and then started throwing a fit because of the swearing.

Still, both GNG and GDW have stuck with me every since and I tend to always fall back on them eventually. They actually helped shape me as a person and I adore the characters so much. I’m an emotional wreck when I become invested in these soldier doggos again and my heart swells with love. Ginga is one of my ORIGINAL fandoms and I refuse to let my love for it die. Not that I think it ever could in the first place.
