I also love that they look like they have actual organs instead of being stick figures. And I love that Lucifer actually looks like a dad

And the world building is making my insides just so happy. I love it so much.

What led you to discover your unique art style?

What platform do you use to make the art look otherworldly?

How long does it take you to finish a 20-30 page comic? THEY ARE SO GOOD! I cannot believe you have the time and energy to do all that.

Thank you so much! I can't help myself - the obsession with this show is so strong with me! Every time I think of all the possible ways Alastor and Lucifer could interact with each other I go feral. They've got such a classic Looney Tunes dynamic to me.

It's hard to pinpoint where exactly I got my art style from - I feel it kind of evolved directly from an older obsession of mine: when I was in my late teens/early 20s I discovered the films of Peter Lorre, and I felt a strong urge to draw him in a way that did him justice. Combine that with a love I have for dramatic lighting, black and white, and several comic artists and cartoonists who inspired/traumatised me (Lat, Yrrah, Hideshi Hino, Jacques Tardi, Giles, and Hergé), and you'll probably come close to what I came with. All that, and a huge helping of cartoons like Tom and Jerry and the old Looney Tunes for my sense of humour.

Not sure I know what you mean with platform - do you mean software or the medium I usually work in? I always liked to draw with fineliners and paint with Chinese Ink and that's set the basis for how I work digitally - I mostly use the blackburn brush in Procreate and draw like I draw in real life - extremely rough sketches and very few corrections if I can help it. When you draw with pen and ink irl (and no sketching with pencil) you learn to try and get the image right in one go, and I try to do that digitally too.

God when it comes to my comics it depends so much - this last Adam comic took me quite a while: I started it in September, got about 20 very rough sketches down, and then abandoned it. I came back to it about two or three weeks ago and had to update the Sin's designs (I'd originally drawn Leviathan as John Waters!) as well as completely rewrite parts of the dialogue and story. So this was a long one to make. But the first Adam comic I made - where Lucifer and Alastor resurrect Adam - was made in the span of a few days, right after the last episode of Hazbin Hotel. I can't describe it as anything other than entering a state of fugue and coming out of it covered in blood and this comic on my ipad. That's usually how I write my stories - I get hit by a scenario that's so interesting that I get obsessed with it and i can't do anything else but give in to the demons and draw it. Usually in the span of a week, sometimes two. Do I have time for it? No, not really, but the demons are stronger hahaha

Okay but this morning a bunch of people were sneezing nonstop and coughing their lungs out in class (one of them was sitting next to me) and none of them wore a mask. Needless to say, i was a bit. Annoyed. Flashforward to today's afternoon class. Only I and one other girl are wearing a mask. The professor talks about communication and how everything we do communicates something. "For example.. when someone is wearing a mask it usually means they have a cold. They don't tell you directly 'hey i have a cold' but the mask communicates it" BITCH I'M NOT THE ONE WHO HAS A COLD. BUT YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT, IF I DID I SURE WOULD WEAR A MASK

excellent late night convo with my med school student cousin last night!! We were first talking medical ethics re: abortion and then she was alluding to the ultra liberal city students being in for a rude awakening when they go to rural areas (especially in our province) to which I was like fuck it and ripped off the bandaid re: trans stuff and tbh it went great.

She is mostly uncertain/open to all sides but doesn't like that the trans side isn't willing to have discussions about it and noted that it's because they have nothing to back up what they're saying and their arguments fall apart so easily. Go off queen.

and she definitely feels extremely handcuffed about it in med school, like you absolutely cannot question anything about it so everyone stays quiet.
