Plain text is needed for:

1. Those who are affected by eyestrain and are visually impaired. Colored text, fancy fonts, they all make these harder for people to read,

and

2. Those who use screenreaders. Fancy symbols, especially ones from other languages, and tyoing quirks fuck screenreaders up. They can change the language, start spouting weird nonsense, or just flat out break.

There are also people who straight up get overwhelmed by all of this without being affected by these problems. Me, for example, I can read all typing quirks just fine but it's still very overwhelming.

Also, big text? There are people who already have their text on their phone set to big because they can't read, and they need plain text for big text.

If you can't provide plain text, you could always

A. ask plaintextpro (or another accessibility blog) for help

B. not format your text at all

Had a dream that was a semi-modern (like still the 90s) Casper au where the Ghostly Trio were kicked out of Whipstaff as little kids and where shuffled around to relatives in different parts of the country. I think their parents got sick of them/"Did it for their own good" and kept their youngest (Casper's Dad) in Maine.

Flash forward over 30 years and the bros are forced to return to Maine upon the deaths of their parents - and the sudden disappearance of their youngest brother + abandonment of his small child.

Now you got three jerks who've havent been home in decades, forced to lie and cheat to survive, barely a social skill between them; suddenly having the responsibilities of a mansion and a toddler that they've never met.

Destinct details I remember from the au dream:

1. Stretch spent most of his formative years in New York hanging out with new money types. Spending that Gatsby money.

Stinkie worked on a farm in the Southwest for a long time. Learned Spanish as a second language there.

Fatso was an actor, and was encouraged by one of the relatives who took them in.

I think(?) Dr Harvey and Kat were alive - or were undead/monsters pretending to be human. Stretch lets them move in cus the Trio are forced to rent out rooms in Whipstaff to cover the expenses. Cue a mostly-free in-house therapist.

Casper was best boy, as per normal.

A Grim Reaper showed up to collect Casper at one point but "Let him stay". 0_0

But how was he supposed to know what it was when he came face to face with it for the first time? They never explained that part. ------ True to his word, as soon as the ten second mark was up, Kagi pulled away. Or at least he would have if Hirano hadn't stopped him again. The moment Kagi began to retract his arms from around Hirano, the blonde dove back into his embrace. Too stunned to verbalize the question on his mind, Kagi stuttered, “H-hirano-san?” “Just stay here for a minute,” Hirano said, wrapping his arms around Kagi's waist. He tucked his head under Kagi's chin so as to hide the blush tinting his cheeks, resting his face against his collarbone. “We haven't done this in over a week. By my estimate, I owe you about nine days' worth of ten-second touches, so give me another 90 seconds. Let me do this.”

headcanon/AU where morpheus only went and visited hob bc hob dreamed of him — like death convinced him to go see him, but he didn’t know when he should go, and the longer he stewed the more he thought hob was probably done with him. but then hob unknowingly drew morpheus into his dream where they were talking and laughing like proper friends (or, alternatively, hob had morpheus pressed against a wall) so dream was like yay he doesn’t hate me let’s go visit him :)

I'm wondering now if I have a bond with James, too, like... I went and read through my journal entries from the time that we were together, and I was always talking about how easy it was to see him. How I dreamt about him all the time. I was crazy about him.

And in fact, the reason I stopped seeing him wasn't because I lost interest, but because I was afraid of the connection I had to him. I remember him being all I could think about. I remember how it felt like everything around me was changing, how I was changing. And I panicked and told him that we should take a break. And then I didn't feel his presence around me anymore. It was shocking how I had felt so strongly for him one day, and then when I asked to take a break, I just didn't feel him at all. I remember just. sitting there and being like, "Wow. He is really just. Not here anymore."

And then I didn't feel him again until I started seeing Charlie. And then came the dreams of him asking me to take him back. Telling me that we had something beautiful and we should be together again. He wasn't even asking me to leave Charlie, he just wanted to see me again. And I turned him down. Every time I told him that I was only seeing Charlie. And he just kept trying. He didn't give up.

I'm just... idk. I'm gonna have to do some soul searching I think.
