i wish i could give you a straight answer nonie but unfortunately the best matcha i’ve tried are all from small places local to my area 🥺 so i’m not sure if they’d be available to you 🥺 (and am also not comfortable sharing the names because idw be doxxed, i hope u understand 🥹) most of the matcha from chain cafes aren’t to my taste bc they’re too sweet 🥹

my best advice is probably to just try some specialty cafes in your local area 🥹 if you have japanese ones, even better! and check if the matcha they’re using is dark/vibrant green!!! the light/pale ones are usually premixed with sugar and everything (which i don’t like that much) 🥹 it’s rlly a trial error thing sometimes 🥹

if you’re talking abt making your own matcha, the brand i use is also unfortunately local to where i live 😭 as a general rule tho, i buy ceremonial grade matcha! its a deep vibrant green!
