Okay all I've gotta say on this one is that IT MADE ME CRY. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Obviously I can't speak for everyone who read this fic but I think this will hurt Lloyd lovers. I have re-read it so many times to the point where I have half the fic memorised word-by-word. This is a must-read.

This is a Kai And Lloyd fic, and I love Kai And Lloyd fics! Specifically ones where they address Lloyd's trauma from Morro and where Kai comforts him. So if anyone's into this sort of stuff I'd recommend it!

Original summary:

Ahem... once again, Lloyd goes through pain. A season 5 canon-divergent AU, from which my favourite part was... you guessed it! Lloyd having a panic attack and being comforted! But it's still a cool story besides too, season 5 being one of the best seasons imo.

While this fic is finished, the AU is not but I think this one has a good ending on its own.

"Out for revenge" by lloyd_slander (Archive of Our Own):

Original summary:

Okay. This one is rated Mature for drug usage and blood (there was nothing sexual though)

So it's a Morro traumatising Lloyd fic again, but this time he's with Harumi! So it's double trouble for Lloyd! (things go VERY BAD for him >:3)

Honestly I can't say much except read the fic, the summary's right there lol.

Okay so here's a fic without Morro! (that's cause it's in the movie-verse) Another type of fanfic I like reading is where Lloyd in tlnm keeps his identity secret from the other ninja and it ends up getting revealed (like this one.).

I've seen this fic being recommended more than once and it's one of the fics with the most kudos in the entire fandom on AO3! So 2000 others agree with me on how awesome this fic is!!!

"What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger" by @crystaleclipse10 (CrystalEclipse on Archive of Our Own)

Original summary:

"Lloyd batted Red's hand away. “’m fine.” His head pounded, but at least it was quiet and dark. His hair tickled his nose. “What happened?” “We…didn’t get out in time,” Red whispered. “The missile exploded. We got everyone else out, though.” Lloyd relaxed and slumped forward as pure relief washed over him. They’d done it. They’d beaten Garmadon’s game. They’d freed the civilians and survived. So it's another tlnm au fic! And this one has Kai And Lloyd bonding specific so I like it!!!

As I was reading this when it was still being updated I was very excited every time a new chapter would come out and my heart hurt for Lloyd each time! It IS worth the read! Just note that while tis fic is completed, the au is not.

"Officer Smith, Do You Copy?" by @hijabiwriter (same username on Archive of Our Own):

Original summary:

"Everyone has their reasons for becoming a police officer. Maybe they were forced. Maybe the profession stood out to them. Maybe they had some experience that prompted the idea of becoming a police officer. But that's only a few reasons. There are others, too. Like for instance, one of these officers is out for revenge."

This fic is entered around Nya, who's a police officer alongside Jay, Cole and Lloyd (for some reason Zane is not in this au/fic). Anyways her dark secrets are explored in every other chapter alongside the progressing story, and of course, an explanation is given to everything in the end.

On a personal note this is the fic where I left my first comment on my Ao3 account lol (the historic moment is on chapter 13!!!)

I like this fic because it encouraged me to remind my own irl friends how much they mean to me. In this story Cole believes that he's "the rock" of the team, and hence he doesn't show his emotions much. He's never told even one of them that he loves them and thinks that they deserve better than him. So stuff happens after that :D

ahh thank you so much, i appreciate this. i have to say, sc still has me by the neck, i do plan to finish that fic & maybe write some more but it won't be anytime soon. i had hoped that the fandom would calm down with the kara hate after the show ended but i was wrong, it still hasn't changed.

when you've been writing for sc for so long, the frustration builds up, & there have been many times where i felt like i needed to (& did) restrict myself when writing them. it stops being enjoyable when people are constantly calling kara 'stupid' & insult her in many different ways for not being the happy sunshine kara danvers who takes care of lena all the time.

personally i love reading & writing the reverse situation (lena who's being the patient loving one & also the shoulder for kara to lean on) because the show didn't give us enough of that. unfortunately, people don't respond well whenever kara is struggling with her issues & lena isn't the one who's being comforted.

i write what i like & that's what i'm always going to do, but this build up of frustration over the past years & always anticipating kara hate every fic/chapter killed the joy a lot.

i've seen some authors speak about this too & it's genuinely sad to see! people can like & dislike whatever but it's important to note that there are readers out there who don't realize that their personal feelings against kara also affect authors & their love for writing supercorp

The other is still wrapped around his gun and propped against Steve’s waist, a steady, familiar weight that makes him shiver. Eddie’s lips are pressed to his jaw and his hips are holding Steve against the wall though so he’s hardly worried about the mess.

“You’re so hot, baby. Fuck.” A bite to his ear. “You make it look so easy.”

Steve’s head knocks back against the wall and he giggles high in his throat.

“It is. Just gotta make sure you don’t cut too far and hit their jugular because that’s just a mess. And it’s over too fast. Not very fun.”

Eddie huffs a strained laugh and tips his forehead against Steve’s collarbone. When he looks back up his eyes are red rimmed and wild. Steve can practically feel the crazed energy that radiates off of him.

I've got ice hockey on the brain, so as a belated WIP Wednesday, have this reimagining of the end of Regill's companion quest from a doc called "The Hockey AU nobody asked for."

Regill Derenge's NHL career ended during a media timeout in the second period of a back-to-back at home. He had let in five goals because he was exhausted and also, by far, the oldest and smallest player on the ice. The coach called the players over to strategies, and Regill skated up from his crease.

"I'm done," he announced. The Coach glared at him.

"Are you injured?"

"Not yet."

"Then you're not done."

"I've let in five unanswered goals and you're not pulling me?"

"No."

Those who attended this game would brag about it the rest of their lives, because they all got to see Regill Derenge, famous for his stoic demeanor, completely lose his shit live and in person. He threw his stick on the ice, dropped his blocker and glove, grabbed his coach by the lapels of his blazer, and dragged him over the boards and onto the ice where he proceeded to punch him in the face. Coach was too shocked to respond before the refs pulled the two apart.

"That's an ejection," the ref said to Regill sternly. Regill only nodded politely, his usual stoicism having returned. He skated back to the bench and got off the ice, only giving Yaker a curt nod as the younger goaltender donned his helmet and Regill walked down the tunnel to the locker room.

I think I mentioned this somewhere but you would not believe how hard it was to set the scene and tone for what do you do with a drunken major?

I will often have trouble with beginning and ending fics because the main idea I have is usually in the middle. this fic was one such example except I knew the middle and the end. I knew what the point of this fic was, I knew where I wanted it to get to, I just couldnt for the life of me figure out how to actually start it

since I know ive talked about this before ill go into more detail on some of the deleted stuff cause there was. a lot. the original original concept for this fic was going to be much more comedic, with Charles coming in from the Officer's Club while Hawkeye and BJ were still awake, and immediately dropping himself onto Hawkeye and dragging him down into bed. the ending for that was going to be Hawkeye unable to escape while BJ just laughed and shut the lights off for the night. I didnt mind this, but it didnt feel right, so I scrapped the whole thing

after that I decided I wanted it to JUST be Hawkeye and Charles. there were a bunch of drafts that had Hawkeye having to practically drag Charles all the way back to the Swamp from Rosie's, and Charles just yanking Hawkeye into bed with him. then there was them both drunk and coming in from the Officer's Club, and it just sort of happening without them thinking much of it. but those didnt vibe well with me, they were fine they just weren't what I wanted, and I decided to try and hit it from a more shippy angle with some sweetness to it, and thats when I finally got the vibe I was going for

still took a few tries! I ran through those same versions again before finally settling on the one I published. but for such a short fic where, really, nothing happens, it gave me a shocking amount of trouble. I think I was expecting it to write up easily like how like a dog did, but when that comedic tone of like a dog didnt match my vision, I was left not knowing how to set my scene and my tone. im ultimately very happy with the result, its probably one of my favourite things ive ever written, but yeah you would not look at that fic and think it was particularly hard to write when I in fact spent... at least a couple weeks agonizing over it

Well Loongsoul is having a sale, and I’ve been waffling about getting Bai Jue for shang dollhua, since it’d be a hassle to get Ringdoll Ozhu to work (even though I still think he’d be great...if he were the right size), and I can’t seem to find a lot of information about the measurements for Gouhai (looks like the head measurement might be 22cm, which is bigger than ying zhou, which feels weird, and I can’t find a neck measurement at all). Soo I guess this is my sign to go with Bai Jue xD

I still think the LS 62cm body is weirdly long and tubular, but he’ll be clothed and if it really bothers me, I could eventually buy a different one, either the v.5 62 cm from DF-H or the 60.5 cm one from Guu Doll.

I thought about Yan Ling too, but I think that’s mostly because i love his wig styling which i used for inspiration for my consort!SQH drawing lol and his full set isn’t available anymore anyway
