The Worst Crossover To Ever ‘Cross Over’ Pt.3
kill me i have no idea how to write the batfamily or the joker//
Sonic breathes in deeply, trying to regain his cool. He’s seen so much bullshit in only a few seconds, so it makes sense. It almost feels like someone’s writing him into this crap, because of how bad it is.. but anyway.
About twenty or so feet away, there’s the entrance to a warehouse. In front of it, two people stand; a clownish creep, with eerily green hair, slicked back, and his lips smothered with tarnished red lipstick..and Danny, in something resembling a hero suit of sorts, with his hair and eyes now white and green, respectively. It’s quite the spectacle. So much so that there’s a few bat- and bird- themed people just a few rooftops away..watching.
After a few seconds of watching Danny interact with the freakish clown man, Sonic decides to rush in, standing between Danny and the clown, concern leaving his eyes looking wide and more unusual than normal. The clown pays little mind to him, trying to talk with Danny, intrigue lighting up his thin, sharp features. “Oho, another!” the clown starts. “I’ve never seen anything quite like you two before.” Sonic stands defensively in front of Danny, arms stretched out to protect him. “Yeah, and I’ve never seen a clown become the butt of their own joke, but here you are,” Sonic retorts, with a scowl. He’s going full defensive. Behind him, however, Danny doesn’t seem nearly as bothered as one might expect.
A while earlier, Danny had just arrived, drawn in by the noise. Only to see a clown near the source of the sound and some bat furry guy and his supposed accomplices some buildings away, just watching? He was not pleased. Flying down to the clown, he discovered that the horrible shrieking was just the laugh of this nasty clown..or a ringmaster..? Less clown-like..reminds him of that weirdo from Circus Gothica. Danny shivers, immediately uncomfortable.
“So, who are you, and what are you doing?” Danny starts, ready to interrogate. The ringmaster-clown-guy shrugs, with a cruel giggle; “Oh, you know, a bit of this, a bit of that.” Danny rolls his eyes, noticing his dodging of the question. The clown dude looks Danny up and down, in a way that makes him so much creepier. “Are you, mayhaps, one of them?” Danny looks at where the clown is pointing- the bat furry and some other furries. “Uh, no way, don’t know who that furry is, never seen him before today-” Danny starts, before being rudely interrupted by the ringmaster-clown’s horrible laughter. “He isn’t quite a furry, but it’s funny you see him as such! He’s Batman, kid. And you are?” Danny looks at the clown guy, deciding that his non-hostility leaves him somewhat okay to respond to..especially if he’s gonna start building his rep back up. “Phantom. You know, usually one should say their own name first during an introduction,” Danny says, with a curious expression. “But you didn’t. Who are you, then?” The ringmaster grins wildly as he proclaims, “The Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, one and only!” Danny’s face pales slightly; this guy is definitely not a good guy, with a name and title like that. Maybe I shouldn’t have indulged him, he thinks.
Danny takes a step back, feeling a lot less safe around this “Joker” guy. He hasn’t done anything wrong yet, but he certainly will try, won’t he?
As Sonic arrives at the scene, Batman almost takes action. These people..where have they come from? He nor any of his colleagues habe met them, that’s for sure- he’d know if they had. A boy called “Phantom”, clearly a meta, and some blue spiky meta. Unusual and sudden appearances could mean..something big. But it seems that the situation is dying down for now.. so he swoops away, bringing the rest of his team with him.
Sonic glares at the clown, not knowing what he may have done or not done to Danny. Danny steps up behind Sonic, whispering in his ear, “He’s some sort of prankster, I think? Calls himself “Joker”. He hasn’t done anything yet.” Sonic lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Whispering back, he murmurs, “Let’s just go, for now. He gives me the heebie-jeebies.” Danny nods, and Sonic promptly grabs Danny and runs away, with incredibly speed, the Joker looking at the two of them and waving as they escape the scene.
Now back at their makeshift home, Sonic asks, “Why did you leave?” He puts Danny down and looks up at him, a bit saddened. “I thought something bad could’ve happened, or you were afraid of me…” He sighs. Danny looks at Sonic, eyes sympathetic and kind; “I woke up and was too worried to sleep. Sorry. I just..wanted to scope out the town. And, uh..I think we have some more things to talk about..” He gestures to himself, and then to Sonic. “Some abilities and backstories we need to share.”

@ your tags on my post, i am shaking you like a maraca and yelling "YESSSSS"
i wanna see how kh3 tackles that whole thing because it's so eerily similar to what happens in the manga. and in the manga, he is in so much pain and agony, AND HE'S STILL FIGHTING. ROXAS IS THERE WITH HIM, HIS ONLY COMPANION, and then kh3 just tripped and fell on the glass table.
also, i think about this constantly, i want them to do something with it so bad.
YEA i cant wait to see the rest of kh3 manga chapters and how they handle everything, i especially loved the manga versions for days and kh2 and the way their stories were told - even tho kh3 has a Lot going on that might be hard to show well.. amano's been good at it so far tho so i have faith :]
but yeah that whole thing with Roxas is just . oughh. im not gonna lie even i forgot that Roxas was like. still there with Sora when he perishes until i thought abt it writing those tags but now that ive realized that. why the hell did they not take advantage of that!!!! like ok i get that it was more focused on the destiny trio in the ways i talked abt in the tags but yknow. what happened to "he makes up the difference"?? that wouldve been a great moment for it to shine!! ik they already make an example of it during the Xemnas n Saïx fight but still!!
part of me wishes Roxas couldve have more outward influence on Sora the way Ven did. granted, he arguably had an affect on Sora back in kh2, and while i dont remember if it was canon or even intended, that could be applied to both his appearance (his lighter hair, mostly) and his behavior (his hostility towards the organization members; ive seen this argued both as smth Roxas had influence over and purely based on Soras experiences thus far, and i believe in both personally) but Ven in kh3 was literally able to speak and somewhat act through him. im pretty sure this was meant to show that Ven was fully ready to awaken or smth like that, and that wasnt sonething that was needed for Roxas; hes alright, just needed a body/vessel for himself. but i still think itd be a cool way to express the earlier sentiment. and it wouldnt necessarily have to be Roxas "taking over" either, the manga shows very well how Roxas gives Sora strength from within and that he definitely does make a difference
to be fair tho...... whether that wouldve helped Sora in the moment that he gives in to his despair, im not sure. in kh2, both manga and game, hes in a very different mindset than kh3. in that part of the manga especially, despite thinking everyone (except Roxas) is gone for good, he still has the belief that they can live on within him. and that, plus the literal strength hes getting from Roxas, is keeping him going despite it all. in kh3 his self confidence is beyond fucked, and he truly believes in that moment that hes lost Everything, not just his friends. thats hard to come back from
i wonder if he were to remember that Roxas were still there, if that wouldve helped. whether for comfort in the way that hes not really alone then, or for motive to keep living bc if he dies then Roxas is gone too, or whatever reason, i think it couldve changed something, even if its just a little bit. hell, itd have been great if something like that happened afterwards in the final world. id like to think Roxas had a hand in Sora surviving ..... not sure how but its a nice thought. either way i do wish Sora n Roxas' connection and that moment they have in san fransokyo had more....... More. in kh3. it was a great opportunity that they didnt use/forgot about n im now sad abt it forever

Control
warnings: stalking/casing, VERY brief mention of a rapist, violence/gore description, nothing explicit happens but is implied, knife mention
uh it’s basically POV you’re Murdock, so i feel like that’s a warning in and of itself??
800+ words
--------------
There is a very integral part of human nature that separates us from beasts. Some say it’s reasoning, language, society as a whole. They’re all wrong.
The only thing keeping the primal instincts of our inner being masked is control. Human beings are savage creatures with control.
Control.
The voice in your head that keeps you from jumping off that railing. From strangling that co-worker. From speeding right through that red light.
Control is something that can also be trained, expanded to handle new issues. Perfected.
This is what Murdock has had to dedicate himself to. When the feeling comes, control is the only thing that can stop it. That feeling, that urge, it operates like clockwork.
It always originates as a sensation at the base of his skull, a sign that something is off. It spreads, days later, throughout the head, pounding with want and compulsion to just —
That’s when the research has to start. He’s a man who plans, who does things with intent, his talents would be wasted with anything else.
The newspaper of the city is always riddled with the day’s featured scumbags: the repeated killer here, the rapist there. Without fail, there’s multiple options to choose from. And plenty of time in the future.
But for now, one in particular stands out to Murdock, and the feeling nods its head in agreement. A serial kidnapper, determined to target the helpless. Pathetic. Do they really find themselves so high and mighty for beating someone who wasn’t even playing their game? The article about the criminal finds itself cut out, and plunged into the darkness of a coat pocket.
The point in the night when everything is so still it seems as if nothing’s alive, is his favorite he thinks. The calm, cool nocturne air would feel nice if not for the car surrounding him. That gentle buzz, that feeling in his skull, is building up to throbbing by now — right on schedule.
His car is parked with a perfect view into an abandoned warehouse, magnified through binoculars. Its metal creaking and concrete crumbling exterior a perfect potential spot for the kidnapper. He had narrowed down possible locations over the last couple of days, using the help of some informants and people with certain legal resources. Why the cops were getting lazier and lazier in this place, he couldn’t guess. Well maybe he could, as it’s well known that the current controlling power of organized crime in the area has their teeth in the Chief. But, that wasn’t going to stop him from using their assets.
The scene stays the same for what seems like hours, the only motion being the flickering of streetlamps in his view. All the while, the feeling had been starting to claw its way through the rest of his body, a buzz of something pumping through his veins. To say he’s starting to feel antsy is an understatement. Another especially strong wave hits.
Before he can try and shake it off, a clatter of metal catches his attention. Getting out of the car silently but quickly, he scans for the source of it, trying to concentrate through the rushing of blood in his ears. If it were a perfect world, now the kidnapper would come out and reveal themselves, unknowing that they have already met their end. He would slice the pathetic worm open, watch the fear in their eyes drain to nothingness. And the feeling would disappear again, if only for a couple days.
But it’s not a perfect world, the criminal is nowhere to be found and the urge is still there, growing. His handy knife feeling heavier and heavier by the second in its holster. He gets bad when he’s like this, he’s had enough experiences past this point to know you don’t want to be around him.
Practically trembling as he gets back in his car, white-knuckles gripping the steering wheel with his eyes squeezed shut.
In and out. Just breathe. In and out. Control.
And the rush calms, if for just a moment. The peace is welcomed, a brief pause of the roaring in his ears and adrenaline pumping in his veins is phenomenal. It doesn’t last long —
A man appears on the end of the street, head-to-toe in jogging gear with headphones on. Night runners, God have mercy. Are people really that dumb? Especially in an area like this?
The jogging man stops to catch his breath. Murdock feels the urge rear its ugly head again, electrifying and exponentially more powerful than before his little meditation session. He looks down and he’s holding his knife in his lap. He doesn’t remember removing it from its holster.
The jogger continues to lean on the building, breathing heavy. The man hasn’t done anything wrong. He’s probably got a wife, kids, a stressful job. This is probably the only time he ever gets to himself.
Murdock still finds himself getting out of his car, blade in hand. Every fiber of his being on fire, the urge is over-due, and it’s making that fact known. It doesn’t care who, just if.

If someone tells you their name is [name], then that's their fucking name. Stop trying to find out what "their actual name" is
So-
I'm having a birthday party this Saturday, (it's also a friend's nameday and we decided to celebrate it together) So we made a group chat with everyone to invite them.
We mostly have common friends so like, approximately 10 of the kids are our common friends, 5 are mine and 5 are hers
But it's cool cause we all go to the same school so yknow, not everyone is that close but we'll manage
Except one person, I invited someone that my classmates don't know, actually 2 of them know this person and have been friends for years (I met this person through them) and my best friend has also met this person one or twice
So we're gonna name this person Bob, so, Bob is not a greek name.
Today one of my friends was like who is this "usernameman guy?"
And she was talking with my friend who's met the guy and my friend was like his name is Bob
But she was like "There's no way his name is bob" so that's why they called me and asked me what usernameman's name actually was and I'm like "it's bob"
"But how can it be bob? His parents named him that?"
"That's what he introduced himself to me as. I guess it may be a nickname but that's how people call him so"
"Well I'm gonna call him Mpampi then"(or something very greek starting with the letter of the guy's actual name)
"His name is Bob"
...
Like. Ok. I know- I can tell, Bob is not the name he was given by his parents, I know his very greek last name. I've overheard people calling him by a different Greek name.
Still. He introduced himself as Bob. Their Instagram bio has "Call me Bob, they/she/he" and fanart with the non binary flag as a photo profile
In greek you can't really refer to someone with they/them so they're always referred with he/him pronouns (tho I've noticed sometimes they use feminine words for themselves like καλή) honestly I've been meaning to ask if they would also like to be called η Bob instead of ο Bob etc
My friend dropped the subject assuming I just don't know "his actual name"
But later as we were waiting for the bus one of their friends (I mentioned above I met this person through 2 other people) was there so my friend was like "oh he must know! [Dude] do you know what is usernameman's name?"
And all 3 of us(me, dude and my best friend) replied together that it's Bob
"That can't be his name! Dude whats his name?"
Dude: "it's... Bob"
"Are you kidding me how can it be Bob?!"
At that point my best friend snapped like "What's gotten into you my[girl]? Can you just drop it? The human is named bob" (Μπομπ τον λένε τον άνθρωπο, sounds more friendly in greek)
At that time Dude's parents arrived so he left but I saw his face. He didn't want to have that conversation
I'm sure he knows "his actual name" since they've been friends for years
But if the person introduces themselves as fucking Bob then call them Bob, why you gotta ask everyone
