Making playlists is my passion maybe actually, lol. I am the Road Trip Music Conductor in my friend group, and I always need something that fits the Vibe. I don’t play around about my playlists, I can’t lie. (Dream job maybe used to be making those Spotify official playlists because I learned that was a real job when I was in high school, and let me tell you!! I am lowkey sad it did not happen).

My playlists at this point are also kind of a scrapbook of all the interests I’ve had (though I have like 100+ more that are private/incomplete from other fandoms) and I kind of love you sending this because it’s like a trail of all the things I’ve loved 😅.

Malex had a CHOKEHOLD on me, and social network was on repeat in my dorm room for like a whole semester. I think I could probably quote that whole film if promoted - 100% I could tell you sorry my Prada was at the cleaners along with my hoodie and my fuck-you flip flops (iconic, we must never let it die).

And yeah, anything involving protective older sibling/younger sibling they couldn’t defend forever, very much I am going to latch onto it. Hence the many Billy & Max playlists and kili and dick Grayson (my beloved blorbo).

(YOU DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE TU-TU-TU-TU MAX VERSTAPPEN??? I break the speed limit to that song on the regular (jk, jk, or am I 😏))

And yes, I game, lol. But it’s literally exclusively F1 23, uncharted, Jedi fallen order, and the Assassins Creed Ezio trilogy on rotation (the Witcher thrown in occasionally).

Alex is rushing out the door as Michael walks in.  He gets an absent-minded kiss on the cheek and a “See you later.”

“Nice to see you too,” he grumbles as Alex goes by.

“Sorry, I told Kyle I was on the way.  I didn’t know you were stopping at home.” 

Michael sees Alex  paused at the top of the driveway and waves him off, “Just go, wouldn’t want to make you late.”

Alex takes in the expression on Michael’s face.  “Wait a minute.  Are you jealous?”

“Of Valenti,” Michael scoffs.  “Of course not.  You just seem pretty excited for movie night.”

“A movie night we have to keep each other company when you are out with Max and Isobel,” Alex reminds him.  “I make him watch sci fi movies and talk about how much cooler you are than any movie alien.  We spend most of the night complaining about missing our aliens.”

“Yeah?” Michael smiles, pleased to know Alex is thinking about him even when they are apart.

Alex comes back to the doorway and takes Michael’s hand,  pulling him in for a much longer kiss.  “You aren’t the only one who is embarrassingly in love with his husband.”

🎢 which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

oh man i wrote some wild fics back in the day. i started writing fic when i was about 13, so i have my fair share of wild rides.

if we're talking about plot and/or pairing, i'll have to go with anything i wrote for the hanson fandom, when i used to write hancest. yeah, you read that right.

however, my wildest ride story plot-wise would be a drabble that's no longer published (it no longer exists) that i wrote around 15 years ago. in 100 words, i showed a character witnessing a very disturbing scene and enjoying it. it wasn't me saying that that scene was good, or me condoning the fact (i'll tell you about it if you're really interested but it's very disturbing). it was me writing a drabble. that story cost me some friendships, and one of my friends from back then even tried to send me to the psychiatric ward for that fic which was, dare i say, very well tagged thank you very much.

now, if we're talking about a wild ride related to how it made me feel while i was writing it, i have two examples:

#1 - oscuridad y silencio. written in spanish, it's a sttory about domestic abuse that hits way too close home

#2 - from wedding bells to private hells (to fresh new starts and wish you wells). written in english, it's also one of the most personal things i've ever written. like, in forever. you can feel my feelings while i was writing it, i swear.

🍦 what's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

me, writing something sweet? horrified gasp. the nerve! i'm not sure about the sweetest, but one of my fluffiest fics is mousetrap, for the harry potter fandom. it's short, it's sweet, and i think it serves right for this category!

i do have other sweet fics, or better phrased, other sweet scenes in other fandoms. one of my favorites comes from a fic you know well. the raining scene from arashi (malex) is by far one my faves. i love writing rain scenes because they make me feel cozy, even if that doesn't make sense.

there's also a scene in por si acaso no recuerdas mis abrazos (yo te dejo mi canción) (david cook/kyle peek) that's way too sweet even for me. there's a moment inspired by mcfly's "all about you" when david is dancing with kyle's son on the kitchen floor that just melts my heart. btw, if you squint you might find versions of that scene, inspired by that very same song, scattered across all my fandoms. i love that image so much!

👀 tell me about an up and coming wip please!

i've been trying to write a story in a new fandom (which is already dead since the tv show was cancelled like 5 years ago), but it's proving to be very difficult because, somehow, i've managed to convince myself that what i have to say isn't worth saying. hence, i'm suffering from a major writer's block.

it's a m/f story where the main plot is angsty, as one may expect from me. the main pairing broke up in canon seven years ago. nowadays, she is a renowned oncologist coming back to los angeles from boston to attend her mentor's retirement party. he is a renowned neurosurgeon coming back to los angeles from london to attend the very same retirement party. they take the same flight from boston to la, and we can't say that they're excited to share the same space for hours after how they parted ways seven years ago. but apart from having to deal with seeing their ex after so long during a celebratory time, they also have to work together when the venue where the party is being thrown collapses and threatens the lives of everyone they love... including their own.

(i warned you it'd be angsty)

i'm also planning a tarlos christmas fic but that i'm not sure about yet.

My #1 post of 2022

When I first heard they were rebooting Roswell I didn’t know if I wanted to watch it. I had fond memories of the original and wasn’t sure if I wanted to endure yet another mediocre reboot.

I decided to give it a one-episode chance. I watched it in my sister’s room, and she had her headphones on. She had not seen the original and had no interest in watching it.

I remember watching the pilot episode and realized this reboot would be a completely different show. I had heard Tyler Blackburn was in it and loved him on Pretty Little Liars so when he came on the screen, I paid attention. I could sense something between his character Alex and Michael. When Michael appeared in the background of the reunion scene that Alex was in… I knew what was about to happen, so I did what every sister would do. I nudged (in her words punched) her in the arm and from then on, we watched it together.

During these four seasons I have laughed with these characters, cried for them, and now I will remember them always. I will always love Malex and their love story, but I loved so many characters and ships on this show. Liz, and her science, Isobel being a badass, Kyle being the perfect friend to everyone, Rosa, becoming her best self, Maria being amazing at everything but never quite getting what she deserved, and Max who became the man I knew he could be and saved a planet.

I have proudly been apart of the Roswell New Mexico fandom on tumblr. I have created art edits and enjoyed creations by talented individuals.  I have enjoyed seeing all the gifs,edits,fanfics… and will continue to see them.

Roswell New Mexico might not have been perfect; however, it was something I enjoyed with my sister and for that I am forever grateful to these cowboy aliens.

I really want to get back in the habit of writing but I haven't really managed to find the motivation to work on any of my WIPs lately, so I took a prompt from this prompt list from @creativepromptsforwriting and ran with it.

Football game - Merlin/Arthur Pendragon

Merlin hated Football. He would never get the appeal of 22 people running after one ball. And why people thought it was fun to watch others do the running was even more of a mystery to him. 

Somehow he had gotten sucked into the whole thing anyway and had been made the water or towel boy or whatever they called someone who was supposed to do little tasks like make sure the players had water, clean towels and shirts was called in football. 

Merlin didn‘t have a clear idea how it had happened but he knew it was Arthur’s fault. Things like that were always Arthur’s fault. Merlin could never really say no to him and then one very hot day, the previous towel boy had gotten sick and Arthur had been all dramatic about dehydration and how Merlin was the only one who could save the team. One thing lead to another and now it was months later and Merlin was forced to spend a really nice Saturday afternoon watching football and keeping water bottles and towels prepared for halftime and players that got switched out. He could have been doing something so much more enjoyable, like helping Gaius with his weird but interesting experiments, or read, or just hang out with Will or his Mum. But no, he was at the football field for the third time this week. 

The only upside to the whole thing was Arthur. Merlin might not enjoy watching football, but he very much enjoyed watching Arthur play football. Well, if he was honest he enjoyed watching Arthur. Period. 

Arthur was just so graceful, energetic and passionate while playing football. He was the team captain and his team was a well oiled machine, a testament to the kind of leader Arthur was.

Merlin may have gotten a little distracted by Arthur because he startled when Gwaine clapped him on the back with a wink before jogging out to the field to… switch in for Arthur. Arthur, who was now jogging towards Merlin, glistening with sweat, tousled hair and slightly panting. Merlin’s mouth went dry and he didn’t react when Arthur held out his hand for a bottle of water. With and eye roll he grabbed one himself. “Seriously Merlin, your job really isn’t that hard.” 

He took a long drink from the bottle and Merlin watched as his Adam’s Apple moved with each swallow. When he finished he handed the bottle to Merlin and pulled the hem of his jersey up to wipe the sweat off his face, revealing his glistening abs in the process. Merlin gulped and now he was the one who had to take a sip of the water Arthur had just handed him. Suddenly he wasn’t quite as annoyed at having to spend his Saturday like this.

I felt like someone had to call Alex out on singing a song about and to the love of his life while on a date with another guy, and who better to do that than Gregory? This is pretty short, probably not the most in character, not beta read and barely edited. I've been pretty stressed with finishing my thesis and figuring out what comes after university and in the mids of that I found RNM and completely gave in to the escapism.

So in 3x12 Heath talks about the place where he and Dallas “used to quiet the voices” and in 3x13 Liz says to Max “you quiet all the noise” when talking about their first meeting at the playground. Those lines have to be intentional parallels to “together we could quiet all the noises, drown out the voices” from Alex’s song right?

1 : Reading Dinluke fanfictions. They are kinda (A LOT!) my latest obsession, so reading endlessly about these two falling in love in space while raising a little green jedi baby makes me VERY HAPPY on a daily basis.

2 : My dog, Sherlock. He's the love of my life, always.

3 : The weather. At the moment, it's perfect for my state of mind, right now, for example, there's a little rain, but the kind of rain you get in summer when you know the sun will soon be there and the birds are singing and it smells like nature is waking up.

4 : Star Wars in general. I'm rewatching all the movies and TV Shows and animated series and I love it all! I just started "Rebels" and only finished "Clone Wars" a few weeks ago and I LIVE! I

5 : Pedro Pascal. Just because that man is amazing and everything.

Obi-Wan is my fav from the prequel trilogy and I love him even more after seeing Clone Wars... And the new Obi-Wan Kenobi show will make me even more addicted to this character, I just know it. And I just love Ewan McGregor since I was a teen. And CodyWan in just an amazing ship...

BUT...

I'm literally in love with Din Djarin and The Mandalorian is the show that made me appreciate Star Wars all over again after all this time. It’s because of The Mandalorian that I’ve watched Clone Wars and Rebels for the 1st time and the OG and Prequel trilogies all over again. It's this THE show that pushed me to really understand all the Star Wars lore. It's THE show that brought DinLuke into my life.

So… After long and hard deliberation, I’ll have to choose that Mandalorian guy ☻. My Mando. My Din. This is the Way.

1 : show you watch religiously, can’t miss an episode?

To be honest, there are quite a few I just CAN'T miss. But, I'll just do a Top 3, cause I'm unable to choose just one.

The Mandalorian, obviously, cause it's my favorite show.

Stangers Things, just because it has a little bit of everything I love in a TVShow and the characters are just so endearing ! I love them all to death !

Our Flag Means Death, of course ! I've watched it on a loop for a few weeks now and I just can't get enough of it. It really is the greatest show on Earth (and Sea). When S2 will drop, it'll probably be the death of me (in the best way possible.)

13 : show you watch for a ship?

Honestly? Roswell New Mexico. If it wasn't for Malex I would I've dropped the show a long time ago. I mean... I love the prospect of Kybel also, but Echo is exhausting and all the unnecessary drama make me roll my eyes so hard... But I still watch it, even if the plot is full of holes and very bad sometimes. I must be a masochist, but I'm still too addicted and attached to Malex (and Kybel) to drop the show.

20 : show you think should’ve ended sooner?

SO MANY SHOWS! I mean look at Grey's Anatomy for exemple ? Will it ever end? But I've stopped watching the show like 10 seasons ago so if I really had to choose one, it'd be The Flash.

I don't know why I still watch it because it's very bad. It must end! Please, let it end!

The bed was cold when Michael woke up. The sun was high in the sky and Alex was long gone. All that was left in the whole cabin were the sheets on the bed and Michael’s phone on Alex’s pillow. The notification light was blinking and Michael already didn’t care about what anyone had to say to him right now. 

He unlocked it anyway when he saw the new email icon. He never got emails. 

It was from Alex.

We should’ve talked. That was always our problem, if we’re honest. Too much sex and not enough talking.

I’m glad we didn’t though. You were right, we’d just make each other sad and angry and that’s not how I wanted to spend my last night with you. Because that’s what it was. Regardless of what happens on my deployment, we both know this thing between us is in the past and it’s time I gave up and moved on like you’ve managed to do. 

Over the last two years I wrote you a lot of emails. Basically whenever I wanted to talk to you but couldn’t I’d write an email. I’m not sure why I’m doing this now but I just sent all of them to you. You can read them or delete them, it’s up to you, I guess. 

I love you. That hasn’t changed and it never will.

Michael blinked away the sudden tears that sprung to his eyes. For all that he’d shoved Alex away over the last few years and flaunted the fact that he could move on, Alex telling him goodbye broke his heart. Michael wasn’t sure how they’d gotten to this point. It felt like one thing after another just piled on until there was no hope left. He wanted to fix it, even when he’d been with Maria part of him had wanted to fix it, he just didn’t know how. And now it was too late.

Rereading the email, he spotted the part about new emails and quickly exited out of that one. And there they were. Michael scrolled down to find the oldest one but it was impossible to tell. They didn’t seem to be in any particular order so he just clicked one and then another and then another.

Michael missed out on a lot while he was with Maria. He never wanted to miss those moments again.

In the five weeks it took him to get through all of the emails, no one heard from Alex. He’d warned them he’d be out of touch but it was still jarring. Michael took to driving out to the cabin or bugging Rosa to let him play with Buffy just so he could feel close to Alex. 

A week after he finished Alex’s emails he started writing his own.

I’m sorry I finally pushed hard enough that you had to leave. Roswell’s your home and these people are your family. When you get back from your deployment you should come home and see them. I can leave if it’ll make it easier for you but you shouldn’t leave them just because I’m an ass.

1. Last game you finished

i am like pretty sure it was dark souls. ive been playing a Bunch of stuff on and off for the past 3 or 4 months but dark souls was one that i stuck to and i beat it with my caster character naomi in like early march

2. Game(s) you’re currently playing

ok oh god. okay i SAID i was playing a bunch of games on and off but truthfully i have Started a bunch of games and have not finished them and my heart isn't too set on touching back on them. some im ok with that and others i feel like i should get back to them

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time (JP) [dead/i should get back to it]

i stopped playing this in like late february and i definitely want to start playing it again. it has been more constructive for me for practicing japanese because it is just a bit less dense than other games like path of radiance. i think i like only finished the first little arc though LOL in the forest w the caterpillar boss

Super Mario Galaxy (JP) [dead/i should get back to it]

i got pretty far here! i think ive 100%ed everything up to the bedroom. there's not much i can say about what ive practiced with this game besides it was a nice refresher/maintainer; there's furigana for the kanji and all the characters speak in unique ways that are still digestible

Dark Souls (again. as a cleric) [dead/its ok i got like more than halfway through so it'll be fun to pick up again whenever i do]

after i beat the game with naomi i like immediately started another file as my cleric madeline. its been really fun with her and ive been enjoying using ultra great swords/lightning magic with her. iiiii got the lordvessel and i saved the cleric in the tomb of the giants, and i made it to the ash lake and the painted world for the first time this playthrough

Sonic Riders (JP) [dead/its ok i unlocked aiai&nights&ulala]

it is very very interesting playing japanese sonic because some of the characters have like very different personalities. sonic is more like, Cool Dependable Upstanding guy who like shouts stuff in english sometimes (ALL RIIGHT/Hey !), where I feel like english sonic is a little bit more of an rascal

amy is like a LOT more "cute". like english amy is like scary and Her Own Girl but jp amy is just like more sweet (for the record i feel like english amy is a lot more engaging and fun (I love lisa ortiz amy))

WAVE is like SO interesting, i feel like english wave is so bitchy and mean (love and respect to her all the same) and jp wave is still Mean but she's so much more cordial and polite, she's kind of like a gentleman about it and still offers respect to the people she speaks to

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic [dead/IM SAD ABOUT IT BUT I CANT DO ANYTHING]

i had been playing it for joey and he was Loving it and i was loving it too because i just love that game, but after i saved bastila the game started like crashing non stop. i did some troubleshooting/research and it turns out discord streaming and kotor just Do Not mix well. we had to give it up and im so sad. i had a demolitions/security dual wielding blade girl named DYNA BLASTER and she failed every single speech skill check

Stardew Valley [alive]

me and joey have been touching on this with our collective farm the past few weeks. its hard because his work and where he lives tires him out so bad, so he just needs to sit back and rest more than he can play games with me, but were in the beginning of the summer right now and things are going well. i am like being a spreadsheet farmer making max profits while he's got his strong variety of crops at his place so we can actually complete the bundles. we didn't realize we had access to the mines until the end of spring though LOL

Valkyria Chronicles [alive]

I will have joey fall asleep to me playing games and after kotor stopped working this is what i picked up. i like this game a lot, a lot of the uh.. the voice acting can annoy me (SOMETIMES i really like it) and how lightheartedly the game depicts war and racism irks me, but i love love love love how the game plays. its fire emblem but you're down On The Field doing the work and its very engaging

I wanna replay crash bandicoot 2??!!!! i played it all the time as a kid when we still had our playstation like 1999-2001 and i remember the girl with her tiger and there was like a level with hot air balloons. i have slowly been building more and more motivation to get to it and this is like doin smth. time to add another game to the currently playing list
