More misc. daily life pictures and such

HUGE icicle that looked like you could kill someone with it or something.. Only my roommates were there really and we're all in the same household bubble.#just to clarify. I would never dare have a large party anyway given#my hermitous nature but on top of that.. didn't want there to be some implication that I'm having a Party while covid is still ongoing lol.#NEVER.. But I do love dressing up as some fantasy character so much.. The only thing that could ever bring a true hermit wizard#to engage with others socially is the prospect of connecting it somehow to fantasy worlds and costumes lol. One must simply dress up#as a silly 200 year old man from time to time and pretend you've never seen a balloon before in your life. etc.#6. bapy boye... feets#7. The main food that I made for the elderly elf man 'party'. which was a Deconstructed Beef Wellington (kind of as ajoke since I watch s#o many silly cooking competition shows and they always make stuff 'deconstructed' at the last minute when under time limits or whatever.)#I've wanted to make beef wellington a few times but Ithink to do it well I'd need like..an actual kitchen and a lot of time and#an oven that fully works to bake things and etc. etc. So I thought this would be an easier method. A thick steak cut round to kind of mimi#c the round tenderloin or whatever it is in a wellington. instead of the puff pastry being wrapped around - I just did star shaped cut outs#of pastry and baked them and put them on top (to go with the star theme). instead of mushroom duxelles being wrapped around in pastry#its in a little circle under the steak. and instead of mustard being brushed onto the meat I made a mustard gravy sauce type of thing#Then of course asparagus on the side.. my favorite... Though I know some wellington#also has a layer of prosciutto I think. or I saw one person use crepes. I didn't feel it was necessary to incorporate that too lol#8. bapy son helping me do a giant puzzle that took me hours and I had no idea it was actually that large of a puzzle#until I started putting it together and for some reason it made me stressed by the end instead of relaxed lol.. puzzle fatigue#photo diary

Finally watched season one of Wheel of Time. I love it. Like, they actually did right by Allana and stuff! I just, yeah, WoT written by someone not a total misogynist is actually way better than the books. I hadn’t considered that going in, but without all Robert Jordan’s absurd ideas about gender and stuff it’s like, much more enjoyable. I hadn’t realized just how one dimensional so many of the secondary women characters were until now.

i wake up and first thing i think of is: during marias search esp in that first week or two, i wonder how many of the search parties were volunteers considering that civilians can help cover more ground etc rather than the travis or newt sheriffs ( esp since canonically in the remakes, travis countys dept is severely understaffed )
and i wonder, too, just how many of said volunteers were extended sawyers & hewitts ensuring all potential evidence or suspicions that could point to their family ( not just in marias case but all of them in general ) is covered / fucked with / etc.

Instead of depression drinking I started back on my home work out routine AND went for a run for the first time since I moved
#are yall proud of me 🥺🥺🥺#downside is tho i dont think ill be able to cycle into work tomorrow this has KILLED my thighs#i have no idea what a normal run is i was out for about 40-50 mi s n was only walking like 30ish% of the time??#i did a good job of saying ok we running to that tree n then walk to that sign then run to the field with cows#which im pleased about cuz i struggle with motivation without competition/partner to push me along#but im too socially inept to get a gym/running partner lol i havce no idea how u do thhat#i wanna be low key buff n have decent stamina like when i still swam competitively#but u gotta actually work for stuff like that#was nice tho cuz part of the reason i dont go running as well as the partner thing is the mildy intense anxiety that#ppl would judge me for soem reason#n i know that its stupid n ppl dont do that#n once u go out there n ppl dont point n laugh at u thts like a barrier overcome n itll be easier to get myself out next time i go#i might try n do it wvery 2 days until im a bit more fit#then maybe up to daily#anyway heres ur friendly reminder thatexercise does produce endorphins n does make u feel good#n i no longer have the urge to get depression drunk#its not a cure all but by god does it help

I get why of course but I also really do not care about trying to force people to sign up for rewards and push donations on them and then also force app downloads all to match a quota/set number because some guy in the Big Office said so like. Not to sound like I'm old and hate technology but the fact I've now been on both sides of this 99% of the time I can guarantee you the customer wanted to get out of there 5 minutes ago and nobody likes doing this and if they REALLY wanted to join the rewards program they'd of done it on their own already.

They're old and ANOTHER app in their name and on their phone is just going to confuse them more. Where I am working now they STOPPED and or are stopping sending out physical coupons like. I don't know who you think your main customers are but not doing mail out coupons for people and or rewards members is making you lose a good chunk of your customers but okay

#💟.txt#*beau#L.L.'s involvement in this whole ordeal was extremely passive btw#they did nothing they only followed him interacting from time to time and giving very verbal suggestions but never actually acted#UNTIL the end where he goes away in that boat and L.L. had to watch him sailing while screaming begging him to come back#because as we all know they cannot fucking swim they're terrified#but he was gone and he wasn't coming back and they were getting fucking scared so they had to do something. they had to#so they first asked for help by calling the police to send an ambulance and find them if they fail at their task and then acted#and grabbed something to float along while keeping their upmost calmness to find the man#and eventually they did and they were found too and only when they saw him on the hospital they left for a while#he was knocked out and needed PROPER surgery done and so they just went over to Hans' place still fucking soaked from head to toe shaking#n stuff bc it was fucking cold and bc they were terrified of what they had to do (swim) and they walked right past him and sat outside#and after a few minutes they came back inside and said We might have a new tennant soon.#(and let me point out the parallel between this and the time they first killed a family member.)#later when they heard Beau was awake they went over to check on him and told him that if he needed somewhere to go they had a place#and it wasn't a big deal it was rather similar to his former house but here it was safe.#and when theyfinally could have a civilized one on one conversation beau got to ask their name because after having known each other for.#what? a week? he never found out bc all their interactions were deranged (L.L. headbutted him one btw)
